I didnt like the fact I was charged a deposit when I booked the room online it said no deposit needed but other than that love it
Pool was nice. Everything was clean. No included breakfast, workout room was small. Deadbolt on my room door was weird, possibly broken.
I liked the quiet at the hotel and the spa. I did not like the schedule of the restaurant for dinner. for the weekend was closed.....
Location, cleanliness, modern rooms, friendly staff. Wish the breakfast had been included!
very clean,great location
Whirlpool in room TV with HDMI (good for Chromecast) Reliable WiFi Clean room Door lock was broken on first room and had to be moved Whirlpool was broken in second room and had to be fixed They missed my wakeup call
Staff and low cost of peripheral expenses like the shop and breakfast. I chose it because I wanted something quiet and clean. It was very quiet and very clean. I would definitely stay there again.
We were disappointed that the pool was closed.
Rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly unprofessional. I was there for business. When I returned to my room my dog was not there. I was furious. They have no right to remove my service dog from my room and if there was a problem they should have called or emailed me. There are so. Any ways to get in touch with a person in this modern day, it's unacceptable for them to remove the dog without reaching me. When I returned, after they took a few minutes to go to the back office and get my dog, they seemed nervous, as if they knew they didn't have the right to take him. They said they were nice enough to feed and walk him. I explained that dogs have sensitive stomachs you can't just feed them new food and that it's very dangerous to walk and have a persons dog out and about. God forbid something happened to him. They said it was because he was barking, well I've travelled with this dog for 11 years. We've gone everywhere from Sedona to jersey to st Barths, without issue. They should have called me before removing him. I would NEVER stay at this place again. They are unprofessional and unfit to be running a hotel.
The staff was friendly, room was clean, close to shopping Parking area was full, had an event going on
The facilities are nice as are the rooms. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was good. I ordered a Martini in the restaurant that was served in a champagne glass instead of a martini glass.
The very well appointed room Leaving
Stayed while visiting family, room was perfectly comfortable for a grandma, mom, and young granddaughter. Kitchen was a great benefit. Have stayed at other Hyatt House in area, this one had the largest room. Staff was very friendly! We had an early flight and was able to get an early check-in.
Very comfortable and there was no one else in the pool and workout area when I used them.
nice gym and good breafast, comfortable, friendly bar lounge
Great location right in downtown New Brunswick. Good price/rate via kayak Musty/dusty room wreaked havoc on my allergies. Shower handle was broken and had to be replaced. No free wifi.
It's a fabulous hotel with attentive staff and impeccable accommodations
The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel is well-laid-out and beautiful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, but overpriced.
This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I was overwhelmed when I pulled up and stepped into the lobby, my first words to the registration desk were "well I'm out of my league". Everything was perfect. The staff was professional and courteous. The room was extremely clean and very modern. The view from my room was nice, looking down at the the state theatre, or out at the rest of New Brunswick. And I lucked in to a "special price". So it was very affordable. I have not compared it to regular rates yet, but I would think the room was worth significantly more. If I go anywhere in the vicinity I will be staying here again. These didn't bother me personally, but just to make others aware. The heldrich is in the middle of the city, so you either have to luck into free street parking or utilize the parking garage directly behind the building. Parking cost about $20 per night, or $25 for valet parking. There was not a refrigerator or microwave in my room, maybe it was just the room I chose. But again none of these bothered me.
Incredible value Rooms are clean Well appointed rooms from bedding to technology They charge 8.95 for internet access. Just raise your room rates by $9 and include it.
Hotel was very nice and served our needs for a quick, one-night stay near the Rutgers campus. We didn't really have time to take advantage of all the hotel's amenities. Parking was pricey; we chose to self-park because valet did not have in/out privleges. It was a bit of a hassle to drag our luggage from around the corner.
Very clean and quiet Price of valet parking
Fantastic hotel very class, very comfortable No
location and convenience to downtown paying for parking, hotel should have free parking for guests if they want to park their own car and also valet if they want. A choice for the guests would be nice. Also the bathroom needed some maintenance: the shower rod was loose and leaning down / the towel rack was loose off the wall / and the shower curtain was hanging off of the hooks and not hooked together.
Every thing no
A friendly helpful staff There were no problems at all
The hotel was a great deal, liked the location, was relatively quiet Some of the staff had attitude, expecially at the hotel restaurant which i would not recommend, 3star food at 5 star prices
Lobby and staff very good. Room was a dump. Dirty, stick carpet, damaged furniture and chair.
I had no problems checking at 2am, and the room was quiet all morning.
Location and Price Maintenance. No one answers phone Hair Dryer was broken and UNSAFE. could have caused injury
the location was nice and the hotel was very spacious. not having a steam room.
Our sheets and towels were changed on the daily. Our room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. We were staying for 9 nights and laundry services nor dry cleaning was available. No fridges available in rooms either. Our room smelled like cigarettes when it was stated the hotel was a non-smoking hotel. Besides starbucks not many nearby places to eat within walking distance. Ice machine broken on our floor and outdated decoration. A bit overpriced nightly rates for a hotel where nothing is inclusive (wi-fi was very limited, breakfast)
We stayed at the Hyatt due to a football game across the river. We had booked the rooms based on the location and were not disappointed. We were able to walk to the downtown area (only a block away) and grab a late lunch before heading to the tailgate and watching the game. The hotel is a little bit tired, but the staff, the cleanliness and the location were outstanding.
Pleasant staff, clean, convenient location, very safe. Overall a very good value Continental breakfast was adequate but muffins or Danish would have been a nice touch.
Breakfast buffet is a sham. It's basically cereal and bread. The orange juice was watered-down Sunny D. There was hair in between the sheets. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were worn down and needed replaced. There was no iron in my room so I couldn't iron any clothes. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you just need a room with a bed, this is a economical option. If you are looking for cleanliness, try a higher star hotel.
Nothing is good place hospitality and food is worst Everything nothing is good to say
It was very nice The continental breakfast you can offer more. Examples like hot chocolate and donuts and bagels.
close to my meeting address N/A
Cleanliness of the rooms and the updated decor as well as ameneties in the rooms The staff was somewhat cold.
The gym and pool are among the best in local hotel choices for this area of New Jersey. Covered parking is also a huge plus in the winter or when it is raining.
The staff are very attentive to their guests. Helpful. Dinner entrées were most enjoyable. The noon buffet lacked refinement in some regards
comfort of room. I booked hotel through booking.com which was on Dolce site. I paid more doing it this way then calling hotel directly. I could not get clarification on this from hotel staff as they could not change the price. Never book through booking.com.
I returned to the area to attend a High School Reunion which was held at this venue. Everything was very professionally done; a good time was had by all attendees.
Cleanliness of rooms, attentive staff.
The hotel was lovely - however on arrival the Hotel was overbooked and we had to stay at offsite at one of thier annex hotels, The next day we were upgraded due to the inconvienance, however staff were very friendly and the hotel was very nice. The Hotel is far out of NYC therefore it is not close for those wishing to visit NYC.
After a pleasant stay at the Dolce Basking Ridge, I needed to head back to New York. I asked at the front desk how to get to the train. The gentleman driving the shuttle not only took me there, he took the time to explain that the train had been replaced by a bus, drove me to the train station, and when the machine at the train station didn't take cards, drove me to an ATM to get cash, then back to the train station. Thank you, sir!
Staff curteous but fumbled wrt 10am arrival on day 2 of stay. Room clean. Bed comfortable Room cleaning starts too early - 830am. Breakfast could be included at room rate paid and be fair
it was convenient n/a
Food was good Room was awful Sink leaked Fan in Bathroom kept me up Windows did not open
Clean, quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Best coffee I ever had at a hotel.
The bed was clean, bathrooms clean, very spacious, two televisions, a fridge and microwave were great to have. The staff was friendly and very helpful, even giving me menus for places I could order from. One free drink from the bar for each night I was staying? Awesome. Breakfast was delicious, and had many choices. Would come back.
Nothing I never made to the hotel before I was called by the management and threatened with arrest if I showed up up for my reservation. The fact the manager called me and threatened to have me arrested twice before I even arrived at the hotel.
Staff was nice and responsive. The hotel needs renovation - it was pretty worn looking. Also, the tavern was closed, which was not noted on the website (my husband was unable to watch a game he planned to see because it wasn't on in the room and the tavern was closed. Finally, as a conference hotel, it would have been nice to have been given a room with fewer conference guests. We stayed on a floor that was occupied by a very large group attending a conference. There was a great deal of noise and socializing in the hallways.
Awesome hotel. Housekeeping did a great job. Everything was super clean. Front desk - so so. Beds are really comfortable. Would definitely go back if they cheer up the front desk a bit. A cookie just doesn't cut it.
food was good location was clean employee's were very nice and helpful I was double charged the day i arrived i asked if my debit card was going to be just for incidentals, I was told yes. however, due to some sort of issue my card was charged again for my stay causing the entire trip to be more grief stricken than enjoyable. food was expensive, ate from the kids meal and it was more than enough food
Terrific breakfast. Coffee was great. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Convenient location to shopping, restaurants and our destination, Rutgers. This is our "go to" from now on.. Restaurants in area closed early..
In room, next to bed, whirlpool hot tub. Fresh and diverse breakfast.
Very clean. Atmosphere was fresh with a modern touch. I especially liked the travel toiletries. They actually provided good products which is not usually the case in hotels.
The cleanliness of the room, The curved shower rod. The shelves in the bathroom. The variety of food choices in the morning. Grabbing a lunch to go from the counter as you leave was an amazing surprise! Pool and hot tub outside only...in NJ?? Leave hot tub open or put inside. It will only be functional for a few months.
staff and location were great the fact that the breakfast is not included for that price...also the $20 in advance even if you don't buy anything, they still take $20 for accidental and they won't refund you for 3-5 business days....that is not right. bathroom area is okay, vary basic
Location near convention center Rooms are small and overpriced
Lovely location, clean and comfortable large rooms
awesome ambience , nice and clean hotel rooms missing micro wave in room
The pool if it wasent thilthy Rude and unacomidating staff, dirty rooms, drug use in hotel No phones work in hotel to contact desk, dirty pool and hot tub, restruant is a joke, no WiFi working ,no safe in room ,couch had 2 different kinds of furniture cushions and were stained and flat made complaints to staff and they laughed
The hotel was very clean , the staff very friendly & helpful, the bed very comfortable , nice courtyard view , nice coffee bar/liquor bar, nice temperature control in room, very convenient location and not much highway noise, refrigerator in room The toilet was uncomfortably low to the floor, surprisingly the wall to the next room was not insulated for sound - the neighbors were not loud and I could hear every word they said , didn't seem to be enough staff to help with luggage when we arrived
Nice clean and pleasant hotel. Not fancy but well maintained.
I stayed on a weekend night and was placed on a floor with a large wedding block. The wedding party was incredibly loud and the hotel staff could not seem do anything about it. While I can't fault the hotel for the behavior of the guests, I can fault them for their lack of response and follow up to my concerns.
Great experience. Front desk staff very courteous. We spent 2 nights. Good breakfast. Could have had more fresh fruits. Bathroom was small, but OK for 2 people. Very private and quiet.
Great find close to Rutgers which was our reason for the trip. The one miner flaw was the breakfast. While it is nice to have a full breakfast option, I thought the quality of the food offered was not as good as other places I've stayed with a similar menu and set up. However, this would not deter me from staying here again.
My husband and I attended an event and needed a place for one night. Staybridge was a really nice place to stay, the room was clean and spacious. The full kitchen was nice to have but of course, since we only stayed for one night, we weren't able to use it at all. The continental breakfast was so much better than ones offered at any other hotels. We will certainly plan to stay again!
I would stay here again. The suites are very spacious, morning breakfast has a wide variety offered and lite dinner is served from Tues to Thrus which is good too.
I'd go again. They were friendly and the place was clean....the bed comfortable, food was tasty....the price was right, although it was rainy...maybe there is room for improvement! Thanks Staybridge...owners and staff...see ya soon.
It got off on a bad foot. I was put in a room at the farthest end of the complex. Normally not a problem but when I am alone I don't like walking to the back of a complex alone at night where there is minimal lighting. Unlocked the door and discovered that there was no electricity in the main sitting room. There WAS electric in the bedroom/kitchen. I was not able to figure out the problem (burned out bulb, for instance) so I called the desk and asked for another room, only to be told there was none. Waited for several hours for someone to come and check out the problem; maintenance guy couldn't figure it out either for awhile. Eventually determined the lamps and tv were on a ground fault interruptor. Strange. Once it was reset I had power again. By then it was too late to go out to dinner and I just went to bed and forgot dinner. The next night I had no issues with the room. But when I got to my conference and everyone was talking about where they were staying, it sure seemed as though I could have done better. I didn't feel like I was a valued customer. Perhaps it was just because it was very busy because it was a few days before Rutgers graduation and the facility was full. But is that really a good excuse? It is not a bad place....and the maintenence guy told me it is going to be totally renovated soon. But next time I would stay somewhere else.
Times are and me and my husband still wanted to get away thank's to our online travel website we were able to do so for little to nothing. First of all the young man who greeted us at the desk when we checked in was wonderful .. The 1 beroom room suite was beyond anything we thought we could get for the price. the king size bed and bedding made sleeping a dream the pillow's made me feel like i was at home and the free breakfast....Just let me say this wheather you eat meat or not pork of beef they have more than ample to fill you with fresh made beligan waffles 3 differen't juice,s yougart, bagel,s freshfruit scrambled and hardboil eggs 3 different ceral's Toast potatoe's bacon saugage, oatmeat granola....I can't go on b/c i must tell you about the hot tub and the pool wonderful clean and relaxing the staff at the pool were very helpful. All in all a wonderful treat thank's to all the staff, oh did i mention free parking at your suite door. So go spoil youself and stay at Staybridge Suites in Somerset after 1 weekend you will find yourself refreshed and ready to take on the world.
I had a room on the second level. No apparent way to get suitcases up to the suite other than lugging them up icy stairs. Toilet in one of the rooms did not flush properly - had to transfer all of my stuff to other room in the suite as it was very late when I arrived and I did not want to stay up and wait for service.\n\nDid not leave heat up /on despite the fact that I had confirmed late arrival.....room was freezing and it took over an hour to heat the suite up. They should have left it on at least 65 degrees!
Exceeded our expectations; stayed for a week and our room was like staying in an apt or condo; full breakfast was way above norm. Didn't get a chance to have wine/beer/food evenings but they must have been above norm, too. Free laundry, newspapers, pool, basketball court and grounds all added to experience. Staff was very courteous. Will stay here again and highly recommend this place.
I booked a two bedroom suite for the July 2010 weekend of my sister in law's wedding. My husband and I brought our babysitter and our children (ages 7,4 and 2). The room was perfect, the pool was a total bonus, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and we all enjoyed the hot delicious breakfast foods. I have allergies and a sensitivity to perfumes. When our room air freshener was too strong for me, the management was very responsive to my plea for help. They immediately sent someone to remove the air freshener from the HVAC and continued to help help until we were all comfortable. I hope we are able to stay again someday soon!
The facility could've been a lot better. WARNING this is not a Best Value inn. It's a Redbull inn Not a very clean facility. Nobody speaks English very well either.
I made an online reservation and when I went to the hotel It was stinking so I requested cancellation they said you have to cancel online. I ran away and cancelled my reservation immediately after 1 hour of making reservation through hotels.com and then found out that I have been double charged me instead of cancelling my reservation. I called my credit card and was able to get refund for double charge but hotels.com didn't give me full refund. I been charged for 1 night even I made immediate cancellation. Becareful wen you make reservation through hotels.com or KAYAK.com NOTHING
