Overlooking Lunenburg Harbour, this B&B is a restored 1886 mansion. The museums, shops and restaurants of Lunenburg town centre can be found within 5 minutes' walk. Each air-conditioned guest room contains wooden floors, custom-made furniture, original artwork and an en suite bathroom. Amenities include free WiFi, cable TV and a DVD player. A full country-style breakfast is served every morning. Guests are welcome to relax in the communal areas at this B&B. This was a terrible hotel. Signs everywhere telling you what NOT to do made for an uninviting atmosphere, the room smelled so strong of mildew that it was likely a health concern, and our clothes reeked for days when we left. Lunenburg is a cute little town, though, with nice houses. Walk off the main street and up the hills for a better tour of the architechture. We ended up getting to Lunenburg after 5 and everything seemed to be closed and pretty quiet, probably a better idea to get in sooner than later.
Pros: Tim Hortons was right across the street and the drive into Lunenburg was short.
Cons: The hotel REEKED of midew- the mildew was so bad the LAMPSHADE was covered in it. After leaving the hotel all of the clothes that we had out of our suit cases smelled so terrible- unacceptable when travelling and no easy access to laundry facilities.

It was a good place to sleep but not vacation. Only one unit (ours) faced the water. The rest overlooked the parking lot. Price should have been $30.00-$40.00 cheaper for a weekday rate. Better properties in the area for $---/night.

Cons: It is definitely not a 4-star hotel. A 2-Star at best. Property is dated and grounds are a mix of regional decor and junk. Grass needed mowing and trimming. This property is a cabin style motel. Units did not face the water. Marsh emanated a foul odor.
