I find all hotel prices excessive for what amounts to a 12 hour stay. There is a current effort to recover the Grand Prix for Montreal. The news reports have it that the city gets $100's of millions for the week with hoteliers getting $500 per night. This greed translates into fhe prices all hotels charge for the rest of the year. Layout was similar to the Comfort Inn Hotels I have stayed at. What is better for the $30 to $40 per night (depending on the city) increase?
Location. A nice contenental breakfast.
Attended a boys ice hockey tournament. Room was spacious and comfortable. Continental breakfast was great, gave excellent opportunity to son to get some nurishment in his body prior to games without going out and ordering and waiting at a restaurant which improves hockey performance. Not one thing...........our stay was a fantastic holiday....
It was good. Very good value for money
quick check in very helpful front desk staff
We made a reservation on kayak prior to our arrival. When we arrived they told us they were sold out and that they didn't have a room for us despite having a confirmed reservation (paid in full). They blamed it on the computer system. Horrible customer service. Still have yet to be refunded.
Serious need of revamp! A/c unit was so noisy iit keept us awake all nigh. Cleanliness is below standard! General Cleanliness is very poor! Large stains on carpets in hallways, found hair on floor in our bathroom, carpets, bedding etc... below standard. Would not use the swimming pool if you paid me to, for the dirt! No comparison to the Macies Best Western we stayed at in Ottawa!
They are renovating the breakfast area and the temporary breakfast set up is claustrophobic and meager. Renovations should be done by December. If breakfast is part of the appeal, don't book there until the renovation is done. Otherwise the hotel is fine and the staff lovely. I would go back after the renovation is done
The breakfast was good but was exactly the same everyday of our 5 day stay. Ample parking space and complimentary internet. The counter personnel were very friendly. Rooms were small. No fridge or microwave in the room. The hotel could have given us a room with these amenities since we were there for an extended stay. Renovations in progress. No complimentary water bottles in room.
it was close to all the places I needed to go to!! A better tv would have been nice
The location was perfect and the lobby and front desk were very welcoming. The room was well appointed, comfortable and quiet, everything worked. The bed was the best. No
Mattress needed to be change.
Very helpful staff, very kind and welcoming! Nothing at all!
I liked the friendly staff, convenient location, attractive minimalist style, and large comfortable room. The giant soaking tub was a highlight. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.
Location was great
Wonderful staff - very helpful and pleasant Room was a bit small and not much space to sit or to work.
Staff at front desk was extremely helpful with directions to restaurants and highway connections. Air conditioning was very noisy.
excellent accomodations none
We valet parked our rental car and it was returned with a flat tire. The staff refused to help us in any way and would not even comp the relatively small service charge by our rental car company. Hardly 'boutique' service! I would never return to this hotel.
location, staff very nice and helpful , food excellent the bed was hard, most beds in the U.S. have soft fluffy mattresses.Unfortunately the parking attendent smashed my car into another car....so I am currently dealing with my insurance company and repair car shop in the U.S to get my car body damage fixed. I hope that this is a smooth transaction, your hotel manager was very nice about your accident. I will see. thanks
Location was good, room was nice
The room was clean and the staff at reception friendly. There was no refridgerator in our room. The complimentary breakfast was a disappoinment: we were given burnt toast and the waitress was a bit rude when we mentioned about it.
Excellent hotel with very nice room and very comfortable bed. Free internet is a major plus. Location is good, though back alley noises disturb a bit.
Close to public transit and major transportation routes, and shopping. Soundproofing was somewhat poor.
Rooms are in good size. Excellent breakfast. Shopping is convenient. On the ground floor, it was a bit nosy when the people on the second floor having a shower.
Close to the location we needed to be. Front desk was quite friendly. A little worn
The front desk clerks were both very friendly and helpful. Thank you to Henry and Kim.
Very clean and confortable rooms
Staff was exceptional and went out of their way to ensure a seem less guest experience. Accommodations were beautiful, well-appointed and thoughtful not to mention entirely unique in each guestroom. Spa was only open by appointment so no fitness or spa services were experienced. The hitel restaurant was good but not great although it was impeccably styled and the wait staff were wonderful. Menu could use more options
Friendly and attentive staff, convenient location and very comfortable room made this a perfect introduction to our visit to Montreal.
Attentive service, lovely common areas, charming rooms, loved the library, had drinks in the library no
The service & hospitality provided by the staff plus the hotel's excellent location. N/A
We loved the location, close to so many things, but not in the midst of "downtown Vieux Montreal". Staff was great, very friendly. Concierges, while helpful, did not seem to know the best restaurants to recommend.
The hotel had a gorgeous decor and felt sumptuous There was no wi-fi!
This hotel is classic and elegant. The staff are all personable, experienced and thorough and can answer any and all questions about the area. The room was breathtaking and meticulously clean and comfortable - a slice of heaven. The marble bathroom is flawless and I wanted to ship the bed home. I will return to this hotel every time I come to Montreal. It reminded me of a hotel I stayed at on the Grand Canal in Venice - absolute perfection!
I liked very much the quietness of the place. I enjoyed the comfort of the room and appreciated the attentiveness of the personal.
People where amazing to work with and helpful Facial was ok at best and overpriced
Convience of being near family Dirty halls, Spider webs everywhere when you walk in, dirty windows
Nice blueberry muffins in the morning (taste like Tim Horton's).
Close to shopping centers Better breakfeast
Near to shopping and eating places
Friendly staff, nice neighbourhood, easy parking, good location.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. They spoke to us in our language (English).
Competitive room rate vs other hotels in the area At time of check in, we noticed bad room smell then we asked the reception to change the room we got another room but the carpet was not clean.
It was to proximity to everything we wanted to do. It was clean. The breakfast was included.
It was easy to find, on a main street, and a tiny bit less expensive than Westin. Its amenities are a bit run down.
The room and bathroom were very clean, and the breakfast was generous. I especially liked the fact that they took the trouble to serve hard-boiled eggs, in the midst of the cereal, toast, juice, and bagels. The croissants on Sunday were a treat. Two small things: a bottle of water sat on the table along with bags of both decaf and regular coffee. I read the first sentence of the notice by the water (that it was placed there for our service) but neglected to read the rest (which stated that I would be charged $2.99 if I consumed the water. I would never have opened it had I known it was so expensive. Also, I made about a 5-6 minute long distance call from to Syracuse, NY, and was charged over $9.00 for it. Way too expensive.
Good location price and very clean
Really enjoyed our stay, friendly staff and beautiful, cozy room! The shower was amazing, with the second rain shower overhead and the fireplace was perfect for the time of year (early April- about 0 degrees Celsius) my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the complementary water and chocolate brought to our door every day. It was a sweet touch. The location was convenient. A lot of great restaurants and site seeing nearby! And the metro is less than a 5 minute walk. What we probably appreciated the most was the concierge who sat right in the lobby, ready for our questions. We had many. Wanting to know the best places to eat and visit, even making reservations for a tour and dinner reservation. she was the best! Probably the only thing we didn't like was the continental breakfast. $19 per person. Definitely not worth the price. There wasn't a lot of options and it was all cold (granted we ate at around 10am) so it sat out for a couple hours but I would have expected the food be kept in chafing dishes to stay warm for that price. so needless to say that was the only time we ate breakfast in our hotel. So many other great breakfast spots around the corner!
The hotel location. The breakfast. The bed. Staff not very friendly. Staff cold in manner (fake smiles). Control of shower temperature difficult.
We came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and enjoy some downtime before the holidays. Every detail is considered at this hotel. The staff were responsive, warm, and very accommodating. We stayed in a petite suite, loved the spa tub, rainfall shower, and plush, down king-sized bed. The Verses restaurant downstairs offers impeccable contemporary French fare, and Olive and Gourmando just down the street is perfect for fresh coffee and croissants in the morning. We will definitely stay here again.
Nice rooms, two excellent bars/restaurants in the hotel and very friendly staff Nothing worth mentioning
Very accommodating. Great neighborhood. clean and nice. Terrific service. Nice restaurant and breakfast spread. Rooftop bar. Overall the staff could not have been more responsive and very accommodating. Our room was very nice. A petite suite, loved the spa tub and comfortable king-sized bed. We will definitely stay again. Staff (Melanie) needs to be careful sending clients to tourist restaurants. We specifically stated no "tourist restaurants". There are so many lesser-known restaurants that are fabulous and worth trying. We were sent to Vieux port steakhouse for sunday brunch. We had slop. We arrived sunday morning. After we saw many terrific cafes and brasserie. And please note she (Melanie) did NOT tell us about the rooftop bar or your new restaurant. Perhaps we would have gotten our sunday late morning/ early lunch there.
Gorgeous place, supremely comfortable bed. Super clean room, extremely helpful staff. Street noise can be slightly loud late at night in the front facing rooms
Charm of the old building, courteous staff and proximity to historic sights and good food and galleries. I would have liked to have more light available in the room.
It was a reasonably priced hotel (and with very reasonably priced services) in the heart of Montreal next to a Notre Dame. The location is great for one day or two day trips. Ensuite minibar and hotel restauraunt had good selection and were reasonably priced. Bathroom is great for having sex. No meat or eggs at all at the "continental breakfast", which is misleading. The view from the windows was nonexistant.
The Hotel Nelligan is located in Old Montreal--a beautiful location--but is is also close to a Metro station, which makes travelling around the rest of the city easy. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast buffet is very good.
The reception people offered an upgrade at a very reasonable price. The room was excellent and offerde extreme comfort. The wait staff wre very slow in respnding to the service needs.
Clean, spacious, attractive. Staff was very nice and responsive. My room - 412 - was a corner room and the heat was not working properly. Maintenance came up and did not do anything useful. I had housekeeping bring up a space heater to keep the room warm. Without the space heater, the room was about 65 degrees. Too cold for sleeping for me. The hotel should keep the facility a little warmer overall, and not let the rooms get so cold. The HVAC system did not put out nearly enough heat.
location in old Montreal I was charged for 5 phone calls when I only made one
Très acceueillant et propre Besoin de changer TV et bureau pour un peu plus de rangement
- Breakfast - Decent room size for the price - Good location No elevator to go upstairs
Everything is good except the old AC is too noisy. Old AC on the wall is too noisy. I have to close it to have a sleep but the adjacent ones also made loud noisy.
Really enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel No
Clean, very friendly staff nothing
It was local to where we needed to be. It was very noisy at night, the beds were hard, pillows all wrong, and most importantly the second night we came back to a room that our keys wouldn't allow us to access and all the stuff we left in the room was gone.

Excelente ubicación , aseo e infraestructura El desayuno tener mas variedad
The lady at check-in was very pleasant and helpful! Very nice to get good service/interaction! Hotel was loud, I could hear the people upstairs frequently and also people walking/playing in the hall way and doors slamming. The hallway smelled like cigarette/cigar smoke (I was in a non-smoking room). Unable to open window for fresh air.
very pleasant, helpful staff. bed and bedding very comfortable. Easy access to old town. very small bathroom lacking good light. no shelf to put your cosmetics on. Reception is located on path to elevator, you are always in other peoples way...does not make you feel welcomed...
Great Location, fantastic rooms and staff. The art was amazing. Will for sure stay at the hotel again.
The hotel itself is quite unique. The architecture the building along with art and what not. Gives it that boutique feel. Must also be said, that the staff was also very pleasant and helpful. I could see myself staying there again. Its probably moot, but the hotel was recently rebranded, changed ownership, whatever, but all the linen and such has the name of the previous hotel. I'm sure getting all new linen is a pricey, but it seemed a bit tacky...?
beautiful room housekeeping knocked on door once before 8am
Location and decor
The hotel is a charming boutique inn. The staff is very competent and friendly. The walls are adorned with colour and form. Everywhere you look is another reason to return. The atmosphere is intoxicating. Bravo! We satyed for only one night.
Spacious room, large bathroom, separate shower, kitchenette facilities Very few vegetarian choices on the dinner menu - actually no choices for main courses
The room was lovely and we liked having a mini-kitchen. The staff behind the front desk was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. Going to the bar for a cup of coffee in the morning, I received cold coffee, which they did replace, but there was a lot of chaos there. Somebody came in to stock the alcohol for the bar, three other staff there, but it still took awhile. Then while drinking my coffee a supervisor came and was reprimanding those 3 staff people, instead of taking them to the back room to do it.
the room was great and the hotel was very well located
location Service very slow. Noise of other hotel guests. Room not serviced on second day bad form. Night porter not polite.
Very nice hotel. The suites were enourmous. The satff working the door were great and very helpful, especially since the front desk staff couldn't be bothered. The staff at the front desk were less than helpful and I was ignored on several occasions standing at the front desk. The concierge seems to be hit or miss it terms of actually being present to answer questions. .
Having stayed in two other hotels of the same category in Montreal over the same week my favourite is Le Saint-Sulpice. The staff in all three places was equally friendly. Where Le Saint-Sulpice is coming in first is the equipment and the feel of privacy and comfort transported by the suites. The kitchenette is fully equipped, a decent bottle of wine readily available. The living room is spacious. The covers comfortable. The bath is nicely lit. It is equipped with high quality fixtures and care products. Did not try breakfast so I can´t comment on it.
Staff, lobby, suite, furniture, amenities Breakfast buffet not up to par i.e. Only one type/flavor of yogurt, poor selection and appearance of fresh fruit, strange-tasting orange juice, and no oatmeal! Also, no complimentary tea/coffee service/self-service 24/7
Walking around old Montreal & comfort of hotel
Good location with very helpful staff.
Friendly staff, separate bedroom, kitchenette with small stove, cookware and kitchenware, in the heart of Old Montreal.
Very spacious for Old Montreal No on-site parking
Very nice ambience (including fire and candles in the lobby area), large suite, fabulous location (perfect for wandering around Old Montreal, cafes, restaurants, and browsing the boutiques). In addition, I forgot something in the room, and the staff kindly agreed to send it directly to my home.
Bedding was incredibly comfortable & soft. Loved having the Bliss toiletries, a nice bonus. The bath towels were no were near the same caliber as the bedding; found them to be cheap & rough against the skin. Rooms were very dark, would like to see a bit more natural lighting.
- The look and feel of the rooms. - The ease of the process to check in and out. - The toilet was not functioning very well. - There was a bit of hair in the bed when we got there.
The staff, especially Katherine... front desk lady. she was amazing, the most helpful and adoring host! the rooms where clean and presnetable at all times. if you need ANYTHING they woudl arrange in a second!!! lacked a pool and a roof area for relaxing.
My room, bar/lounge, club
The staff was exceptional The business center printer did not work, and the staff did not know how to fix it nor did they put a sign up for the next person to let them know it was out of order
Room service was twice the price of another boutique hotel I stayed at in the old montreal. The mini-bar was not refilled each day. My newspaper was not delivered each morning, I had asked the front desk each morning and the problem was not resolved.
Service was excellant, especially the consierge , very helpful with bookings, complimentary car transfer. Very spacious suites, and friendly bar staff. My view was of the offices next door. Apart from that could not fault it.
The pormotion of the room ! No buffet breakfast >_
The staff is very nice. Montreal. Wine is not good in Montreal.
location, parties by the night, acura compliment for small trajects internet should be free everywhere and not only on the lobby!
The Plateau Longe, Otto dining. The room with the shower design was outstanding, loved it! self parking too far
New hotel therefore everything brand new. Good size bedroom. Comfortable beds. Excellent walk-in shower. Helpful concerge. Good location. A ridiculous lift arrangement whereby you required your room card to be swiped and then button pressed all in a flash. And it was not explained to you at checkin. Long queues at breakfast which was very average in quality but expensive. At the buffet the majority of the hot dishes were lukewarm. Very claustrophobic - no outdoor areas at all.
Loved it all. Restaurant was excellent. Staff waited on us completely. Enjoyed the glass bottom pool Can't think of anything.
The restaurant had a delicious breakfast menu. The hotel itself is located very centrally for a walking tour. We went to the port to see the ships arrive. We had easy access to the subway (which is very clean and efficient). The hotel is still having it's opening inconviences. We had a child who wanted to swim. I booked that hotel based on the description online. We had to go next door to use the pool. The washroom was not available in the restaurant.
The location is good. The person who completed our check in was very rude and condescending. We were really shocked by how badly we were treated. With regards to the value for the money, you can find hotels as nice in Montreal for less. The room was very small.
Close to transport and city centre
Good location, close to old town and shopping area. New hotel, everything is new and clean. Nice and helpful staff at the reception desk and restaurant. The rooms cleaning service can be improved.
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff and gr8 breakfast
Location was very good. Service staff was excellent. Parking was a plus.Beds were very comfortable. Convienent bar and lounge was not available, other than the affiliated restaurant. They ran out of hot water and the pool is very small.
The location of the hotel cannot be beat. Right in the centre of Old Montreal and close to all the major shopping and restaurants.
The hotel has agreat potential (it was not fully operational at the time). It is in a great location, modern desing and amenities and qualified staff. There were few things not working, one of them the swimming pool as it was still partially under construction.
The rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable with clean fresh sheets They were very skimpy on providing towels. One large towel each. Paper cups were provided for coffee. Flimsy plastic cups for drinking.
Great room with all amenities we could have wished for. Very comfortable and good value considering location, and that breakfast and 'happy hour' drinks were included.
The overall quality from Hotel, it was fantastic. Thanks, we really enjoyed our stay, even it was business. Just would like to see breakfast start a little earlier, there were several people waiting.
Great staff Third world quality Wi-Fi in the bedroom
location was excellent. comp. breakfast and managers "happy hour" was awesome.the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful.
So convenient to metro and walking for sightseeing. Great breakfast! Staff was amazing- concierge was extremely helpful with directions! Highly recommend this hotel to others. Bathroom shower head could not be secured in holder.
Size of the rooms and hot breakfest
Very close proximity to attractions such as Notre Dame Basilica and Habitat 67.
Excellent customer service
I was upgraded to a suite and was happy to see how nice it was. Great kitchen layout and living space. Restaurant was way too busy to try. Nicely quiet at night.
Large suite was almost as big as an apartment. Great breakfast Small shower may be a problem for larger people.
Thank you Kayak for making a stay here affordable! We loved the location and the room (though a little dated) was huge, comfortable and very clean! They gave us 2 complimentary drinks and breakfast was included. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Joey at check in, never would have guessed he was new. Bernard our wait staff at supper-never would have guessed he was called in and was swamped because he took great care of us. And our omelette creator was amazing. Hilton all of your hotels can use Montréal Embassy Suites as their example.
This was one of the best of 17 hotels we stayed in during our 36 day trip during August and September of 2007. The room was great and the included breakfast was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends and to anyone looking for a hotel in Old Montreal. You cannot beet its location.
Spring Hill Suites is a modern hotel in the heart of Old Montresl. It is steps from all the major attractions in this district. The hotel itself is clean and quiet ;it's located on a side street the rooms are nicely laid out with sitting areaand desk if you're on business& and bedroom area. The beds are comfortable, Staff is helpful and courteous. Breakfast included in room rate offers standard buffet make your own waffles; cereals; eggs and accompaniments coffee was good. The breakfast area is a little crowded at prime time, but an additional room was opened up on a busy Sunday morning& Our room had no view facing an office building across a narrow street&. The'work out room' is minimal. We had a good stay and recommend the hotel. The old city neighborhood has many fine and expensive restuarants and is busy with street life on weekends. On weekdays the ambience is quieter.
Perfect place for families - very economical for what you get. Pool is small and shallow, but perfect for kids, and the parents can relax in the adjacent whirlpool. Nice suite rooms, pool, full breakfast, valet parking, close walk to everything in Old Montreal. We'll definitely be back! '
Very cheerful and roomy facility with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Best features: located in the middle of Old Montreal & great breakfast to get the family started. Only drawback: relatively small indoor pool with no windows.
Stayed here for my wife's 60th birthday. We often stay at SpringHills and found this hotel to be comparable with upscale Marriott properties. My wife has asthma, and this hotel was impeccably clean and well run. The location (in Old Montreal, and literally steps from numerous sites & restaurants) is excellent. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was superior. We will definitely return.
Springhill Suites in Old Montreal is one of our favorite sites to visit. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The elevator was having a problem while we were there, but the desk person took us to the delivery elevator so we wouldn't have to climb the stairs. We asked for wine glasses and they were delivered to the door within seconds of us arriving in the room. They were very knowledgeable about restaurants in the area. The cleaning staff was excellent. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The pool and exercise room is quite small, but it also was not overrun with children. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return next winter.
This is our second time staying at the Springhill Suites in Old Montreal. The location is perfect, the seclusion terrific. The staff was so attentive to our every need. The breakfast in the morning allowed us to eat out in the evening at a more expensive restaurant without compromising our budget. We found two new places to haunt while we were there this time. Our first night we went to the St. Paul Street pub, a lively upstairs sports bar with great views of the St Lawrence river and a cruise ship that was docked there. Happy hour lasted from 4-7 pm. We ended up enjoying a few beers and a huge plate of nachos featuring homemade chips. It was a fun evening. Our Saturday night meal was at a little restaurant at the corner of the street right down on the riverfront. I honestly can't remembver the name of the place but the food was fantastic. We opted for the table d'hote and enjoyed the best ever French onion soup, Chicken pot pie for me and tortierre for my husband and a very yummy dessert as well as coffee. All for $*! Our room was always cleaned and waiting for us when we returned. If I had gone for the pool experience I would have been disappointed for it is very small, but that was not high on my list of priorities. This retired couple will definitely be back!!
I would stay in Old Montreal anyday over downtown. The location is excellent. Not far from a tube station and a 5 min walk to Notre Dame, this hotel is convenient, clean and the hotel staff are quite helpful. There is free internet connection in the room. Did not get a chance to use anything else as there is so much to do in Montreal. This hotel is also close to the cruises that you can do along the river. O yeah helpful to have the kitchen as well. Taxi ride from the airport is about CAD*. There is no easy way to use the train.
We could not have stayed in a better place. The manager at the front desk was superb - extremely helpful. The room was immaculate - the breakfast very nice. Everyone was very friendly. Our whole trip to Montreal was great - truly enjoyed the people there. Would go back in a heartbeat - and would definitely stay at Springhill Suites again.
The hotel is in great location in old Montreal, the rooms are spacious and the staff very polite. The price is very reasonable and in general we were very pleased with our stay.
swimming pool and sauna. bathroom house-keeping was poor. Bed could have been more comfortable for a luxury hotel. Water in the room should have been free.
helpful staff at the entryway....friendly and gave suggestions for restaurants, bars, etc. one lady @ check in was quite unfriendly
Room was spacious and well appointed, with excellent bathroom. Buffet breakfast was well worth the extra paid on booking (but the on-the-day cost was high). Location was between the old town and the modern business/shopping areas - ideal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. The proximity to the old city attractions allowed us to park the car and walk/cab where we wanted to go. Concierge provided guidance to attractions and set us up for a romantic anniversary dinner at a top nearby restaurant. The service was outstanding and a great value. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour!
The staff were very helpful and friendly weather recommending a bottle of wine, places to eat, or just general directions. The location is fantastic bordering the Old Port and Downtown sections, and is very easy to find from the highway.
Bathroom View Location Staff Food Pool hard to swim laps in with kids in there
the bed and the view the room was to small
went to a wedding concierge was very helpful
Walk to All Monreal has to offer, Old City/St. Catherine St./Chinatown take Elevater to the Lobby, Fantastic Rooftop with Heated Pool & Spa complete the experience Beds were very Comfortable Metro next door Parking under hotel Had to walk stairway to get to my room
Incredibly close to the Bell Center. Easy access in and out of the city. Roof top gardens and pool. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Small bathroom and lack of inexpensive television options.
Good quality mattresses, bed comfort and linen exceptional
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great maid-service, comfortable bed. Nice, spacious work-out facility, free newspaper. Great location for getting onto the metro. Definitely, it would be a good place, I can imagine, to stay in, during a winter visit. Pricey buffet. Didn't eat there because of cost. 25 dollars per person. Wifi only worked well in the closet or bathroom locations, in our room. The exterior and interior of the hotel are concrete. So, at first I had a feeling of being incarcerated. However, I adjusted and realized many buildings Montreal are similarly constructed.
Clean, basic comfort; high-end facility. Not intrusive. Congenial. Moderate walking distance to sights (Vieux Port) and shopping (Ste-Catherine and underground Ville-Marie) and city-tour terminals.
Location They first overcharged us as compared to what we booked on booking.com. Then initially they refused to change the invoice and only when a copy of our booking was e-mailed to them, did they change their invoice. Through all this, there was no contrition, and much delay and harassment
The pool and convenience to downtown are big pluses at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Quiet rooms. We hope to come back again.
The staff were very curtious. The only complaint i have is finding the entrance, i had to drive around the building a few times before i found where it was..
-Facility was great -Very clean -Felt luxurious -Good service -Hotel employees were on strike and it was uncomfortable to cross picket lines, some amenities unavailable, but overall regular service seemed unaffected.
First rate hotel in excellent downtown location. Helpful, friendly and professional staff.
Unique experience superior location kind and helpful staff. Asked for a room with great view in quiet location and this was delivered. We arrived early and our bags were cared for and again the next day after checkout. It was an experience to swim and hottub on a roof top and see ducks swimming in a pond with large spruce trees outside while eating great breakfast buffet the next morning again on a roof top. Took someone special to Montreal for her 77th birthday and she was so impressed with our stay, the staff and the facilities that we have decided to make an annual event. That we didn't have more time
Rooftop pool, buffet breakfast When I booked with Kayak the price was $195/night but I ended up paying $239/night + taxes.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free WiFi and Hotel was underneath the metro which made things easy if you know where your going. Bathroom was small and the main restaurant in the lobby was a bit pricey.
Metro is right under the hotel. Walking distance to almost all attractions, if you're used to walking (Old Montreal, the Cathedral, Chinatown) Older hotel. Old elevator. Mall in the hotel is not very lively at all. Garaged parking is quite expensive CAN$25-34. You can park on the street for free after certain hours.
Great support staff, everyone was courteous, friendly, and helpful. and I do mean everyone at the hotel. Being located over the metro was big convenience to access subway system, Why is breakfast always so pricey? It's too easy to spend $75-$100 for a family of four...
Dirty bed linens
Clean rooms and great location for Montréal. No hottub, also the staff didn't serve our request for double beds even though we booked two double beds. They came up with a story how they are sorry and that it's not available even though we booked it. No refund or anything was given either. Be careful what you pay - we paid extra for double beds and didn't get them.
Burger sliders at the bar was dry and rancid
Housekeeping staff and concierge were nice and helpful. Food was blah and exorbitantly priced. Salads for two: over $50; breakfast buffet for two: over $50. What a complete waste of money! Save yourself time and money and grab a quick bite in the cafe a few shops down the hall or better yet at an outdoor cafe. The front desk staff were rude. when I checked in, I was told I had booked a king (needed a double), and that I was lucky they weren't sold out, so he was able to give me a room with a double (after sufficient attitude was delivered my way). I later found my confirmation email that clearly stated "deluxe double room". If I can find an alternate, clean hotel, I won't stay here again.
Nice hotel at central location, nice gym, comfy bed and room. Noisy A/C - asked to fix, but guy claimed that's the normal noise level for their equipment, weird. And in one day, there were no hot water in shower for long time, had to take an almost cold one - water did come in about hour later.
i reserved a room wih two beds. I wss given a room with a king. I requested extra bedding so that my friend and I could separate in the bed somewhat. The concierge promised to provide this. She never sent any extra bedding. The sheets that were in my room had a hole in them and there was hair in my shower.
Maybe its good for extended stay or business travler no concierge service we had to wait just about 45 minutes for service
The view from the 21st floor The wifi wasn't working and no obe would help
The location and room was absolutely wonderful. Loved everything about my stay
We got upgraded to a suite because a std room was going to be 2 double beds which is not acceptable for us. I wasn't spending my nights in Montreal with my husband and I in separate beds nor crammed in a double bed. The front desk clerk gave us a free upgrade to a suite which is probably why I was happy. The elevator waits were over 5 minutes at any given time.
Michel at the front desk was rude. Had us wait while he was inputting something into the computer. We only wanted to check out and he didn't even acknowledge us. Customers are always a priority and this hotel didn't provide good customer service. The hallways smelled like dirty laundry and at night nothing was soundproof as we could hear everything from the hallway and kept waking us up. Would never stay here again.
Espresso is in a great location. It has covered parking and is an incredible value for the price. I have stayed there numerous times and will be back. Very easy to walk from the hotel. The room is very nice and has a small fridge.
Location, comfortable beds, laminate flooring. Breakfast was not great. Told buffet only but others ordered fresh eggs and bacon. Bugs in bathroom.
Very near to so many nice places in the city of Montreal. Few minutes walk to a lot of restaurant and few minutes walk to the Metro. Pet friendly accept cats and we really appreciate it. The housekeeping staff are friendly as well. We will definitely come back You need to pay for your parking even though you are a hotel guest
The staff was very polite and helpful, especially Eric at the front desk. The room we were given was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. Our suite had s full living room, a dining room table, refrigerator/freezer combo, one and a half baths, and an incredible shower. Everything was newly renovated and gorgeous. It was also only a short walk to the Bell Centre and Old Montreal and a short cab ride to some fantastic restaurants. The room did smell like smoke, unfortunately. We were able to ignore it, however.
There is free coffee at the front desk and in the rooms. The rooms themselves were fairly decent with comfy beds, free wifi, and a mini fridge (empty, but useful for leftovers). The hotel also offers parking in their garage for about $22/day, where we left our car for the weekend, walking everywhere, except for 1 late night, round trip on the metro (too cold to walk all the way to the Plateau Mont Royal neighborhood of the city). There is a station just behind the hotel a bit. This hotel worked for our stay for the weekend, located just on the edge of downtown Montreal, but my fiance and I agree that we will stay somewhere else next time. The "fitness center" is a small room with 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 bench press machine, 2 abs stations, and 1 multi-station piece of equipment. There are some free weights, but some are missing. There is a water cooler and towels, but no sanitation cleaner or wipes and the room looks like it belongs in the basement of a shabby home. The lobby is not much to speak about either. You also are not allowed to check-in before their standard check-in time. They will not even look to see if the room is available (we arrived just after 2pm, but had to wait until 3pm to check-in).
Very hot rooms about 80-85°f
WiFi is free but hard to get. Even though you have password and stuff it will kick you out now and then. It took us 15 minutes sometimes just to login. Other than that it's ok hotel Wifi is slow and hard to connect. Don't get there before checking because they will charge you extra for early chek-in. Also, you can't leave your car in their garage after your check-out - they will charge you extra. The rate for garage is not $20/day as they say but ¢24.99, wich is in American currency is a bit more. I would give them 3 stars though. if you're not looking for nothing special and need a place that is close to everything - this is your hotel!
Pool was little dirty
STAFF ARE VERY GOOD. LOBBY ALWAYS FULL OF SOME STRANGERS ON WILLCHAIRS WITH KIDS. ONE OF NIGHT WAS VERY VERY LOUD IN A CORRIDOR FROM BUNCH OF DRUNK PEOPLE.
I liked how it was close to the Bell center and to saint Catherine's street :)! The pool was only open till 8 and when I tried going to the restaurant the next morning I was confused and didn't understand so ended up walking somewhere else to eat
its location in down city its service and the message but busy
The staff was very friendly. More so than most other places we have stayed. NA
Comfort and closely located to the business Fair.
Bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. That I couldn't stay longer!
Affordable choice in downtown, and beds are very comfortable. Hotel staff called around for us on Easter Sunday to see which restaurants would be open before sending us out. Normally I love the hot tub at this Sheraton. Unfortunately during our stay it was out of order, which is a huge bummer. Not that it will make or break a trip, but when you're deciding between a few hotels in the area at the same price point and allowed that to influence your decision a little, it's a letdown. Also, this is 2015 - who charges for WiFi?
This was a great place to stay. In my opinion, the Sheraton has the best beds. The room was very nice, the staff was friendly, and the location was excellent. I will try to book at this hotel the next time that I visit Montreal. no.
Located within the heart of Montreal with easy access to metro stations
The hotel looked much nicer online . The room was clean and the location is just alright. The noise was awful you can hear everything in the hall. I could even hear my neighbors phone ringing a ton. The AC units were extremely loud and the water pressure in the bathroom would drop making a hissing/squeaking noise after use. Another pet peeve is no fan in the bathroom and the doors have glass on them so when you turn the light on at night you could potentially be waking up your partner or anyone else with you. The parking garage underground is tight and super low, my Jeep Wrangler almost didn't make the height clearance. Wasn't impressed one bit by this hotel very over rated.
The atmosphere in the reception and foyer area and friendliness of staff in dining room
We had a great stay. What was particularly appreciated was that we arrived well before check-in time (8 hrs early) and were rewarded with the exact room we booked with no extra charge. Lovely facilities too.
