Esteban was really nice, when we checked in he gave us a map and showed us some nice places to visit in town. The roof top was a really cool place to hang out and relax.
The rooms didn’t feel that clean, the shower curtain should be replaced.
Staff were great, we arrived late (after reception is closed) and they gave us written instructions via booking.com on how to get in, which room we were in, the WiFi code etc. We checked in properly the next morning and the owner spent time explaining a map of the city and places to go. Was also great making your own OJ in the morning. The hostel is in an old converted house with a great courtyard running through it and rooftop.
The fan in the room is very very noisy (it's huge too) and the room gets very hot so it needed to be on, which disrupted our sleep on the 1st night but after that we kept the window above the door open all day and night which did cool the room down a lot so we didn't need the fan anymore (the temperature had dropped too so could be part of it). Breakfast is a bit limited, OJ, some eggs, fresh bread and jams but the supermarket is nearby and you can use the kitchen to make anything extra you might want.
Freshly-squeezed orange juice and the amazing rooftop were an incredible way to start each morning. Had a lovely time staying at the property, and my room featured a very comfortable bed and nice room in a beautiful old building. I'm a big fan of walking and the central location certainly made it easy to head out in whatever direction I was taking that day.
Both Antoine and Esteban were extremely welcoming, friendly and perfect hosts. Their tips and suggestions were spot on. The entire house has a very charming vibe and wonderful atmosphere.
Breakfast was ok but nothing special – rolls to be toasted, scrambled eggs and oranges to be pressed using a juicer all by yourself.
Esteban is a great host, he gave me a lot of tips to visit Buenos Aires. He has also organized (with his friend Sebastian) a great asado dinner on the terrace with other guests. All the staff has been very kind, good breakfast. Room was very comfortable.
The bathroom of my room was really tiny.
