Car rental at Buri Ram Airport

While there may not be many car hire agencies to compare between at Buri Ram Airport. Be sure to see what the car hire agency provides as standard with each car category. For example, Avis offers fee-free cancellation up to 48h before collection on some categories of cars, but not others. They usually also include collision damage waiver and theft coverage as part of the standard insurance package.

Since the car hire providers have their service within the airport terminal itself, all of the amenities of the airport are there for your use. You will have lots of seats, toilets, and food available.

When picking up your hire car you need to have your passport, as well as a driver’s licence that is valid. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is also necessary if your licence is not written with Roman alphabets (languages such as Armenian, Russian, Greek, Korean, etc.) You will also need a credit card as your car hire provider will charge you a deposit in advance as a security. The minimum age required to hire or drive a rental car can range between 21 and 23 in Thailand, and certain car groups will have an even higher age restriction.

Depending on who you hired your car from, you will either have to return the car to the same parking area from where you picked it up, or drive it to a designated area for inspection. Staff from your provider will then make sure the hire car is in the same condition as it was upon your collection, and that you have replenished the fuel. For returns outside of office hours, there will be a provided drop box for you to deposit the keys into.

Car rental companies that offer shuttle or pick-up services from Buri Ram airport to off-airport locations include Avis, and Thai Rent.
