Pros: Comfortable bed in cozy surroundings .All we could need and great breakfast.
Cons: Can’t think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although we didn't get to meet Deborah, John was a fantastic host. The location was amazing, and the room also... A downstairs lounge with a spiral staircase leading to a spacious bedroom with ensuite (the bed was so comfy, we actually went in search of the same mattress the following day!). To top it off, we had a lovely breakfast and a very late checkout with no pressure to do so! We will definitely be staying here again and would gladly recommend to others!
Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, quiet location with friendly and helpful owners. Great views. Great breakfast. Free parking on site and free Wifi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners, Deborah and Jon. Honestly, out of all the places I have stayed in my life, never have I experienced such outstanding hospitality. They are truly wonderful human beings. The couple offered us a lift from the train station and gifted us flowers and chocolates for my partner’s birthday at no extra cost. They were friendly and respectful, with a genuine human touch. Their place is warm and inviting with so much consideration for the guests and their comfort. Examples being: complimentary breakfast food offered for my half marathon this morning and additional soaps/showers gels incase you forgot to pack any, like I did. I wish all places you could stay in had an ounce of what these two can offer. Fantastic. Would 100% recommend and revisit. Deborah and Jon come across as being very open minded with respect and courtesy for their guests. The property is well maintained, clean and tidy. We found it easy to find and it matched all of our expectations and more. You can tell that the owners run this business with real passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to help others. 11/10. Sterling service.
Cons: Honestly, nothing to fault here at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful views over the Pennines from the cottage. We were expecting a room, but we had an apartment, a big dining area downstairs, and a comfortable big bedroom upstairs up a quaint spiral staircase. The landlady very kindly drove us to and from the local pub for dinner, and picked us up afterwards. The pub is only a kilometre or so away, but it's down a really steep hill, so we would not have been able to make the journey back. Interesting collections of books. The breakfast was superb. This review reads as if we are somehow biased, but truly it was the first (but hopefully not the last) time we were at Oakdene. We don't know how the experience could have been improved.
Cons: Can;t think of anything. Very remote and a little difficult to find, but we think that is an advantage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was lovely, staff exceeded our expectations, very friendly professional and accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend. We are already planning our next trip
Cons: Nothing was lovely from check in to check out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is in a nice location which looks secluded, but there’s actually easy tram access to Manchester city centre until fairly late. It’s pretty ideal.

Cons: The 2am fire alarm
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the location good. Lots of very thoughtful touches and toiletries were good

6.8 Good
Pros: Location and very pleasant staff
Cons: Although nice and clean, nice breakfast but I felt it was a little overpriced
7.5 Good
Pros: It is a quaint place. Carrying our suit cases up the narrow stairs was difficult. The room has heating facilities, but not cooling...and it was very hot.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a soap and not only a small shower gel - there was a big bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff. Duty Manager Josh was very helpful. Lovely breakfast hamper brought to our room as we had to leave early.
Cons: Cooked breakfast not served until 9am
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Within walking distance of town. Lovely rooms. Good food. Extremely friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing about the Eagle &Child just be aware that rooms at the front are by a busy road so traffic noise does wake you early in the morning. Also the inn is at the top of a steep hill so wear appropriate shoes if walking into Ramsbottom.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Food excellent. Staff very friendly. Loved the garden in the sunshine. Beers were superb
Cons: Bit of a queue when I arrived but I think that was just a coincidence of everyone arriving at once

Cons: Our bedroom was at the front of the building, and although the weather was hot, it wasn’t possible to keep the window open as the traffic noise was surprisingly loud.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff fabulous, really helpful / friendly. Plenty of parking, really good feel to the place. Breakfast was superb, lots of very well cooked quality ingredients. Bedroom decent size with all mod cons.
Cons: Shower was a bit tight, old fashioned square cubicle. No soft close mechanism on bedrooms doors, made loud band every time closed.

Pros: Great B&B in a lovely location. Amazingly friendly staff, superb room and fantastic food
Cons: Only one very minor point. There was no plug socket near the dressing table/mirror. It made drying and straightening hair a little difficult

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and much larger than I expected, with good facilities, plenty of toiletries and refreshments, including a bottle of water. The breakfast was great with plenty of it and a wide selection from which to choose. Best of all, the staff were pleasant, welcoming, cheerful and helpful.
Cons: The room and dining room were much too hot on the first night, but this was because it was one of the hottest days of the year. A fan appeared on the second night, but some form of air conditioning would be helpful in the dining area on especially hot days.

These 2 spacious family houses have been carefully converted to form a hotel. Rostrevor now offers quiet, fully equipped modern rooms, with feature fireplaces and decorative plaster work. In the evenings, after a long day, you can relax in the hotel’s lounge-bar.
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything ok foodwise
Cons: Noise from traffic in bedroom
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Large room, great en-suite bathroom
Cons: Low on toilet roll, provided towel not very large, no biscuits with tea and coffee.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly, provided information about Bury and offered us breakfast. Room was great for what we were after. Close walking distance to the town centre.
Cons: The curtains in the room let in a lot of light.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast and attention from our hosts were brilliant. Lunch was rendered unnecessary! The walk to the town centre is only about 10 minutes. The rooms are a good size with plenty of drawer and hanging space.
Cons: Unluckily for us the weekend was very hot and both our rooms were sited at the front of the building beside a very busy road which barely quietened down all night. The window had to be open due to the heat and sadly therefore sleep was hard to come by. There is a fan in the room but didn't reduce the discomfort.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In general excellent facilities and friendly people as staff. Clean and good sized room en-suite all good. For some reason my SatNav did not work and the landlady very quickly and kindly printed me a map off as to how to get to Heywood Civic Centre and with verbal directions which was very helpful and kind. The hotel was quiet with no loud people coming in late at night which was nice particularly on the first night as I was very tired and needed extra sleep. I have no complaints just a few observations below. The surrounding area generally people seemed friendly in the pub and takeaway just a five minute walk away.
Cons: I have no complaints just observations. That said I am used to staying in much cheaper accomodation on my chess holidays as I am hardly in the hotel except to sleep, store my stuff, wash and change and breakfast. Cheap and cheerful is my motto to keep costs down. All day and evening I am out at chess. I could not find cheaper in the area on-line when I booked. Therefore this was usually out of my budget as I do not look to pay more than £50 including full English breakfast per night and quite a bit more cost than I would usually like to spend but made up for it on the helpful staff and lovely spacious en-suite room. My fault though I thought breakfast was included but £10 per night was added to my bill. £148 for two nights including breakfast was £48 at least more than I would expect to pay but the accomodation was excellent otherwise.

Pros: The room was great, quiet and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Car park was good & safe and cameras were in place
Cons: Nothing to add
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location Very friendly staff Breakfast Comfortable bed
Cons: The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Bury, it's a Premier Inn so you know what you're getting, no frills, but a basic, clean and comfortable room. There's no car park at the hotel, but it's next door to a Q-park and you get subsidised parking, £5 for 24hrs. There was someone complaining that they couldn't sleep because of the noise of the trains. All l can say is that our room was on the side next to the railway and they didn't disturb us, they do stop running at midnight and don't start again until morning. The windows are triple glazed and have a secondary glazed unit too, all l can think is that he didn't realise the outer window was open slightly, as ours was on arrival. (you can request a room away from the railway though) We had breakfast at the hotel and that was good value for money, lots of choice. It was perfect for what we required and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I use this hotel because family arrives and my house is so small, it is very convenient location, I wasn't expecting such a fantastic place near home. Really recommend! You won't be down!!!
Cons: All perfect! nothing to say!!!

I normally come every now and then and stay different hotels and guest houses in Bolton. This is the terrible experience i have had . 3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Did not the clean the rooms, no new bedding or towels in a week even after calling and asking for it. Overall very bad service
4.3 Okay
Pros: Spa was good. Infinite pool also nice. Lane / main pool a bit shallow but okay. Hottest sauna wasn't all that hot. Salt sauna was good. Chocolates included in the room were nice.
Cons: Wedding after wedding after wedding. If you're there a night before a wedding you're attending expect to be kept up all night from another wedding's party's going loud all night. Rooms were uncomfortably hot, with thin walls and hallways with room service tray tables that had been left outside other rooms for more than 12 hours. Restaurant tables were dirty underneath and weren't cleared from previous guests eating there. Hair found in breakfast, but staff were quick to blame the packaging the food had come from for it. Staff otherwise were rude, unattentative and slow at various bars and the restaurant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spa staff were very friendly and the spa facilities good.
Cons: Restaurant staff seemed overworked so things were slow. Despite a live musician there wasn’t a lot of atmosphere in the restaurant the bar may have been a better choice.

Then rest your eyes - and everything else - with our incredibly comfy beds and Table Table restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a really late check in because I stopped on a whim, and had initially booked online through booking.com, but my reservation didn’t actually go into your system even though the website confirmed it. The guy at night was really helpful; and even though I paid a bit more for the room, I was happy not to have to sort out double charges at all. Then the chap in the morning was a wonderful greeting, and such a friendly guy - I wish all places had the staff at Rochdale!! Big praise all around for a great job at this location. Love your work!
Cons: All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large bedroom and real English pub experience. Great breakfast.

Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast freshly cooked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially our waitress, Katie. The food was better than at some 4* hotels we've visited recently.
Cons: We were on the first floor, and there is no lift. As we are elderly, this was difficult - but the receptionist offered to help us.
6.8 Good
Pros: Individually cooked breakfast with fried eggs that were freshly fried and not the white and yellow offerings that some hotels offer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful wee place lovely friend and very clean. Breakfast was delisious
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean , lovely helpful friendly landlord. Room was perfect and very quiet throughout the night .
Cons: Only problem was due to being understaffed, there was no breakfast but that was not reflected within the price.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, welcoming and helpful. The location was quiet out of the way but not far from the main road. You are surrounded by farm land but housing is approximately 200 yards away. The room was clean, warm and basic. Breakfast was excellent , unfortunately they have stopped serving meals throughout the day.
Cons: Damp in the bathroom needs to be attended too, the bathroom window did not open and the expel air did not work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner & breakfast were not available. However, there are various food places in the village. In my case, the Landlord ordered a take away meal for me, which was much appreciated.
Cons: For me it was an ideal stay as I was attending a funeral in Haslingden. Other travellers at the Red Lion were exceptionally friendly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: it was ok the children wld have liked yoghurt and fruit but what we had was nice
Cons: was visiting my son in castleton so was a bit far out but wld go again as good value
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This place was really good, if a bit isolated. I knew in advance that there was no food available, but the owner was quite happy to order a takeaway and supply plates and cutlery for use in the bar. The room itself was large and comfortable, with a good sized en-suite and really good beds. Even though this is a pub, there was no noise transfer what so ever. The staff were friendly, and the beer was good.
Cons: everything was as good as, or better than expected.
6.8 Good
Pros: Room was OK
Cons: Parking bad.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good facilities Great shower Nice bef
Cons: The food was expensive but very very poor quality
4.3 Okay
Pros: I wasn't provided with any information at check in regarding check out times or breakfast; it was a simple, 'you owe this much, pay that and on your way' transaction. I called the next morning for breakfast information and the woman was very abrupt on the phone. For the price and location, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, good standard for the money. Early check in charge is nasty
Cons: Nasty sting early check in
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was lovely
Cons: Room was to warm, no air con
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice large room. Great location for us near family in Heywood. Gym and Pool very impressive
Cons: In the rooms you hear your neighbors. The new dinning room is a bit loud and doesn’t suit large groups
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel was well positioned for my needs and frankly it was chosen purely because it is the only one in the area. The breakfast/food area has benefitted from the renovation. but the break was bland and the choice was limited, two type of bread, white or brown, no fried eggs just scrambled.
Cons: The hotels decor is dull, drab and frankly a little depressing. The hotel felt very 'industrial' and I felt that I had been processed after I had breakfast and overall after I had checked out
7.0 Good
Pros: Size and bed
Cons: Not enough food options
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the staff were great! breakfast was good. the pool was lovely.
Cons: the fan in the bedroom was just ok. advertising espa products in room but they were all the same shampoo I believe and I needed conditioner.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable, huge television. Shower was perfect temp and pressure.
Cons: Tassimo machine was good but a kettle would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean & comfortable as I was upgraded to a club room
Cons: Two of our party were upgraded but the third person was in a very small room which only had a bath, no shower This was disappointing
4.5 Okay
Pros: The facilities and location was good. Pub/restaraunt across the way as an option to inhouse. Big car park so parking no problem. Room looks nice but everything sort of feels dated. Bath/shower, not just shower and water was hot.
Cons: Having a pool is all well and good, even paying £5 to use it. But needing to use it at 6am to avoid having to share with large numbers of none residential visitors makes it somewhat impractical. The Hotel also promotes Party/Wedding events, so expect 'disturbance' to run late into the night, even when located on 'premium' top floor. Promoting TV channels to find you only get about 10, with only one none freeview is misleading. Really felt it was expensive for what was delivered.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast choices and great quality. Wide and comfortable selection of lounge areas in and around the bar. Very helpful staff. Two different members of staff approached us at different times whilst we were in the lounge to ask if we wanted anything.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room for price
Cons: Being charged 5 pounds to use the gym when they don’t charge guests that book direct. Makes you feel less important as a guest!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Price, location
Cons: Hard pillows
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Twin bedroom, we thought we had booked a double, very small for what we paid for it.It was also really hot in the room and when we enquired about a fan reception told us they had none left...... We were there for an awards night and the function was around the corner within the complex BUT when we asked for an umbrella due to the rain we were told they didnt have any. Not great!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely modern clean hotel. God sized room, very comfortable bed. Excellent staff and great location.
Cons: The fact that I really wanted to go to the gym but was told it would be £5 extra per person per visit which was frankly unacceptable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Had iron and ironing board in the room, hairdryer and tea making facilities and even a fan, particularly good as it was very hot
Cons: Bathroom could do with a little updating but other than that the room was good
9.3 Excellent
Pros: nice standard, nice quiet room, nice bar.
Cons: breakfast was not included, neither were the leisure facilities. Found it a bit strange we had to pay an additional £5 each to use the facilities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy parking and plenty places to eat within walking distance. Asda and other retail shops within walking distance also. Nice hotel and friendly staff.
Cons: The leisure club closed at 8pm and we felt this was rather early.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Uncomfortable bed , pool and Jacuzzi Not clean and tiles missing Sharp bits in pool changing room shower cold, locker doors damaged, damp and mold in changing rooms. Customer service poor, no interaction and miserable staff, unprofessional behaviour of staff, dirty mat in bathroom limited drinks available in bar

Pros: The property was situated in a beautiful area of Manchester .The staff were lovely in particular Danielle at the check in .My husband and myself got a big welcome on arrival from Danielle and she made check in and check out so simple and easy. The facilities in the hotel were very impressive
Cons: Breakfast at the weekend finished at 10.30am and during the week at 9.30am which is very early when on holiday .The food we ordered in the bar was very slow being served despite being quiet .We all got served at different times which meant we didn’t get to eat together which was a bit disappointing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Like the fact the staff are energetic and flexible. The accommodated our needs and provided extra bed at no extra cost. We were pleased.
Cons: Shower handle was not sticking on
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice size room, comfortable bed, good pool and spa area. Parking was easy.
Cons: Slightly tired for a Mercure. Ordered room service - a club sandwich and a pint of lime and soda - took 45 mins to arrive - very small glass of lime and soda, cold fries, heavily dressed side salad but no cutlery, soggy toast and altogether a relatively unpleasant experience. TV has very limited channels ie not even all the usual freeview.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and clean room. Amazing selection of toiletries which was a godsend as we had forgotten certain items.
Cons: Poor access for pedestrians around site.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall, my entire “stay experience”. was indeed pleasurable, and it was made even more satisfactory by the professionalism of one particular hotel staff member named AATHEEF MOHAMMED. I thought he was a complete CREDIT to the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel.
Cons: The drainage in the bathroom shower unit was expelling the waste water effectively enough.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything went well I just got everything I need

6.8 Good
Pros: I checked out a day earlier as the room was very small.
Cons: I stayed previously and was looking forward but I think they were fully booked with Family room which is larger than standard double room as it was very small n very basic so had to leave for another hotel..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff cool and calm talkative in a nice way, it's a vibe thing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great, and food was good value - we had room service rather than go to the restaurant.
Cons: Unfortunately we arrived later than expected due to traffic en route. We were looking forward to a dip in the pool, only to discover that the pool was closed to children after 5pm. This was very disappointing.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was nice and ample.
Cons: The bed was too small. Noise from other guests entering their rooms late at night even though we were in the quiet zone.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely ground and peaceful, lovely leisure facilities and friendly staff.
Cons: Restaurant is very expensive and food doesn’t represent good value for the price. Gourmet burgers were very dry with not much taste.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, very quiet at night, friendly staff & spotlessly clean.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were apologetic, tried to remedy problems promptly.
Cons: Location was near small industrial units. Enter via automated doors and you're faced with a glass wall. Turn right and push door open to enter reception area. Why the glass wall? Bed was hard, uncomfortable. Pillows are a smooth, satin finish in covers with no pockets to keep the pillows in place, hence they slip out overnight Toilet paper must be the cheapest on the market. After two showers, the roll became soggy and unfit for purpose. A lot of hotels and b&b places don't seem to understand the importance of decent toilet paper. Used bar of soap with hairs left in bathroom. Missed room cleaning service so was left a bag on door handle. It was one towel and some water bottles for two people.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location and lovely setting. In need of some modernisation as it’s all looking a bit tired..
Cons: Not particularly clean room. And the food has really gone down hill. Used to be a fantastic breakfast but not anymore. Now it’s a poor quality buffet affair, with cheap black pud and sausages.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Absolutely nothing ! The room was awful and needed a total upgrade
Cons: It was like staying in a 60 s room curtains, wardrobe shower was terrible
