Pros: I am from Canada and grew up on a farm, so agriturismos are great places for me! The room was spotless and very nice. This is a working farm and nice to hear about it from the oldest daughter who spoke excellent English. The dining room was quite well set up for large groups, but we were the only 2 staying this day. Nice to have breakfast included. We had eaten a very large and late midday meal, so didn't get a chance to try the evening meal which we had read are very good. There is no other option for dining without driving to a nearby town, but that is to be expected on a farm out in the country. There is a great outdoor sitting area to look out over the pastures and milk cows on a quiet evening.
Pros: Very good dinner, nice host, quiet place. Will definitely visit again.
Pros: The place is very uniqe; veru quite with countrysights view. Breakfast was basic but good.
Cons: It was hard to find the place. The GPS didn't recognize the address. Some few road signs right in the entrance to Borut would be very helpful.
Pros: Quiet in the suburb. Room is spacious. Good breakfast.
Cons: The road to the hotel is narrow and partly unpaved. Moreover, it cannot be navigated by the GPS of the car.
Pros: A welcoming family owned farm with everything you could ask for...cows, chickens, pigs, donkeys, greenhouses, great dinner and breakfast, clean, comfortable rooms. The family was so welcoming and made us feel at home. The coast of Istria is easily accessible for an afternoon trip to Rivolj. We also enjoyed an evening at “the smallest town in the world”, Hum. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an authentic Croatian agrotourism experience.
Pros: The host spoke good English and was very helpful. Room was comfortable and had aircon. Breakfast and dinner were nice.
Pros: Such a wonderful place to stay, if you want To take the back roads and unplug, this is a great spot! Such nice hosts, lovely country and so many happy animals!!! Loved it❤️❤️❤️
Pros: Awasome hosts made our stay perfect, breakfast and dinner full of homemade specialities, absolutely clean and comfy room and a location 10km away from ucka national park and 30km away from the ocean is a good base to discover istria. A special experience is vojak mountain at sunrise We still enjoy our Souvenir 'strong with herbs' ;)
Cons: Stay was too short
Pros: The facility was clean and the bed was comfortable. It had easy-to-work air conditioning. It was quiet and had free, convenient parking.
Cons: We had exactly the same thing for breakfast every morning and it was not the most appetizing. Also, breakfast started at 8:00 AM - for us, it would have been better to start at 7:00 so we could leave earlier.
Pros: breakfast really tasty, fresh and typical, as the dinner. the girl who hosted us has been really kind and attentive. really recommended

Pros: This was a great small hotel in a quiet old town. Staff were really helpful and friendly. There are limited things to do around it in the old town but plenty of places to see locally if you have a car. The quality of food in the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Nothing. Would be great to see a few more restaurants and bars open up in the coming years so it continues as a success.
Pros: The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff were friendly and efficient.
Pros: Very statisfied of all items : room, staff hospitality and kindness, restaurant for dinner and breakfast, parking commodity . If you go to Buzet, i advise the hotel.
Cons: Nothing to declare
Pros: The service was impeccable!
Pros: The area is very calm/quiet in the night. Restaurant offers traditional dish and wine. It will be a nice base for truffle hunting.
Cons: Nothing to claim at all. No elevator so better to think about your luggage.
Pros: Love this hotel. Stayed here for the second time and it was again very nice. Friendly and helpfull staf, great breakfast, charming location, what else do you need?
Pros: We had huge room with balcony. Good food on lovely town wall terrace.
Cons: Breakfast was in stuffy gloomy room. Only hotel in Istria not to offer freshly cooked eggs.
Pros: The staff is vert kind and helpful, I loved how they treated us. The hotel is really nice and it embodies the meaning of ‘boutique hotel’. A nice spa facility and pool, great breakfast, superb bar and also super nice rooms. Will be back again for sure! Also, Buzet is a cute town, not too touristy and feels genuine.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Pros: Flawless service, staff were consistently pleasent, we enjoyed staying at this hotel

Vela Sterna B&B offers accommodation in Old Town of Buzet. Buzet lies in the very heart of the northern part of Croatian Istria. It covers an area of 165 km2, with about 6,000 inhabitants. The old town of Buzet is situated on a 150-meter-high hill overlooking the fertile Mirna river valley, whereas the new part of the town called Fontana, spreads at the foot of the hill. Buzet is also known as the "City of Truffles" since it is situated in an area rich in this highly prized underground fungus. Trieste is 31 km from Vela Sterna B&B, while Portorož is 32 km from the property. Rijeka Airport is 51 km away.
Pros: Great location in the middle of the old town of Buzet. Yes, the streets to arrive with car are narrow, but you will manage (just don’t follow GPS, use your eyes to see if your car fits). The accommodation is basic, but has everything you need and I think it fits the price. Within walking distance there is a great cafe to spend your evening and enjoy the sunset.
Pros: Great location in heart of Buzet.
Cons: Toilet was leaking. Room was very tight. In season time parking place could be not free.
Pros: Buzet old town is gorgeous. The price makes it a cheap overnight stay enroute
Cons: The room and balcony need a good deep clean. It smelt damp and the covers on the bedside table had mould. It was also exceptionally hot when we stayed and the room was very hot and stuffy.
Pros: Location in old village very good. Room was newly painted and fitted. Warm on a stormy weekend. Could park car in square close by.
Cons: No host to greet us or check passports. Had to go to restaurant for directions. To “highly acclaimed” truffle restaurant for dinner - also host of B& B, no greeting or contact despite only one couple and us there. View was stunning. Food ordinary or worse. Grating truffles over everything doesn’t make good food! I know this is not about the B& B but they are connected.Breakfast next morning was set out in a dark cold room. Again - no human presence. Cold everything. There was a roaring wild storm and we enjoyed experiencing that in an old hilltop town,. We didn’t buy the old stone renovators opportunity! B& B was a cosy refuge.
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Room was small and somewhat cluttered. Furniture was old
Pros: The staff are really nice and helpful. The location is excellent - we've been here before.
Cons: Breakfast should be replenished regularly. We were the last at breakfast and there was no cheese or ham. Only later the lady of the house came and offered to make us some eggs.
Pros: Simple and inexpensive hotel in the old city center of Buzet, good restaurants nearby in walking distance. You should not expect too much regarding rooms or quality of the coffee for breakfast, but it was clean and the host has been very friendly and helpful to guide us to the hotel, help us with parking and find a good restaurant.
Cons: The room was so dirty, smelly and UNCOMFORTABLE BED that we literally didn’t sleep AT ALL. We were sickened by the smell of sour milk (from mini fridge) and powerfully scented chemical cleaner that did not cover up the mildew smell. We are simple people and don’t need all the frills, but this was despicable. In the morning we tried to contact hosts through phone and email with no response. We left a message on booking.com as last resort and left the keys on the bed. We paid for 3 nights and stayed for 1. When the host finally replied to my message on booking.com, she offered no apology or partial refund. Only asked if we would stay 2 more nights. DON’T STAY HERE
Pros: Once you look through it you'll discover the romantic side of the place. It is located in the heart of a beautiful, small old town on the mountain, which is very romantic as such. Take an early morning walk over cobblestone streets.
Cons: The place is old and past its glory. It felt like it was a rarity they had guests. Especially after some rains there were quite a number of insects on the walls of the hallway. Fortunately our room was higher up and the insects did not make it to our room. The room's air conditioning was useless.
Pros: In the heart of old town. Great view to valley. Tasty breakfast
