The view and location to the beaches was fantasic. The hotel was very old, and has had little maintenance, ecept new A/C;s and would not be what we would classify as a four star, three star would be generous. We chose it becasue it was stated as a four star. If not for the location and views, we would say it was way over priced. The front desk offered little assiatnce with regards to attractions etc.
The location was just wonderful. The best place to be. Nothing to add, just go there and enjoy.
Amazing views from the room, awesome architecture of building The water temperature in shower fluctuated too much and was often too hot.
location rooms were not value for money
Nice setting and food was excellent. Room was very nice and staff friendly Had to make 4 phone calls to have someone come and fix the room safe which was not working on arrival. Room was not cleaned one day and had to make a 2 further phone calls to have this resolved. With the amount of money being paid, this is not acceptable
Location is excellent, we walked to Rua Das Pedras every night with our kids. Hotel pool and breakfast are very good. Even if the rooms are nothing extraordinary, I'd stay there again. The rooms need to be upgraded a little, towels and linens need replacement. Cleanliness could be better.
The location is excellent Tannoy announcements all the time, pool not cleaned during the day, staff not very friendly, my daughters room the key did not work and attempts to fix it were pathetic
the facilities of the hotel, specially romm and pool and location (near of the main street of Buzios) Theres nothing to complain. It was an wonderful place to stay.
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the general ambience and the comfort the hotel had to offer. Unfortunately the weather this time of year brings out more mosquitoes and the maid probably thinking it is a good idea to freshen the room up by opening the patio doors let in at least three mosquitoes which unfortunately took a liking to biting me on each of the days I was there. I suggest the patio doors are left closed or the room sprayed afterwards.
Chief-receptionist (woman) was terribly unpleasant and gross. She tried to to falsify my signature.
beds were very uncomfortable, no carpet on the floor, just tile
The food is great so if you don't feel like leaving your room every time you get hungry no problem. We had spa services which were really good especially getting into their amazing hot tub after and looking out onto the sea.
casas brancas was a dream magnificent pousada to stay at,exceptional staff who were happy to help us with anything at any time-service was top class, views spectacular, excellent location-we cant wait to go back again to casas brancas breakfast served was below standard for such a magnificent place
The best of Casas Brancas is the ubication and the view. Chill out at the 'terrace' is worth it
The hotel is really chic with beautiful yet simple decor in the public areas and rooms. There are plenty of lounging places both indoors and out and the terrace is fantastic to chill out on during the day, taking in the beautiful view of the bay and then to grab a cocktail and enjoy the sunset. The location is perfect as it's a 2 min walk to the main centre of shops and restaurants and the marina to catch all the boat trips. The parking is also free at the back of the hotel. The pool seemed unclean and a stagnant so I didn't want to get in and cool off which was a shame. Also breakfast was good but the service was very slow so my toast and eggs was cold and soggy by the time my tea and honey arrived and then to only get 2 pieces of tiny bacon about 1" seemed a little mean for the bacon and egg option!!
The peaceful and natural atmosphere When I tried to call on my mobile telephone to make the booking my call was not accepted.
The staff at Casas Brancas were extremely helpful during our stay. They went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. I would highly recommend this hotel.
pool, breakfast, room, views slow staff, room not ready at 5pm
The room was Nice, and Clean with lots of space. It has alot of stairs, parking is limited. No internet connections in the rooms.
the breakfast, the pool, cleanliness of the room.
Kindness of the staff, Infrastructures (room, swimming-pool), service (breakfast, romm service), security, architecture and the proximity to Buzios' centre and beaches No
it is a nice hotel with a pool and good breakfast Unfortunately £80 ($140) was taken from our room so there is a security problem here. The door was always kept locked, which would suggest it was a member of staff, which is a pity. For this reason I wouldn't recommend anyone else to stay there.
Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with veranda/hammock. Huge bed. Sea view. Calm. Spotless. Good breakfast. No Internet.
AC worked well, parking facilities close to room. The hotel lacks character. The hotel's is located a good distance from the centre of Buzios. The name of the hotel is therefore a bit misleading. Our room did not have a balcony as advertised.
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The view was breathtaking, the service was great and the food was among the best we had in Brazil. It's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful town...highly recommended...especially for anything romantic...
Beautiful design, rustic modern interiors with a sexy vibe, a mediterranean exterior and landscaping. Service was excellent, location perfect, wonderful breakfast. Room was missing a few basic amenities such as wash cloths, laundry bags. There are very few outlets and nowhere to sit in the room (I was in a Superior Garden View) except on the bed. But the room was beautiful, sexy and very clean.
This hotel is right on the edge of all the action in Buzios & the staff were all super friendly! It didn't come with a hot Brasilian babe (I had to find one myself...)
I like the luxorious bungalow style, close to beaches and down-town Buzios! No complaints!
Very close to the beach. Quiet. Nice design and spacious rooms. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Helpful shuttle bus to town. A lot of ants in the room and water dripping from the ceiling
The hotel is set a 2 min walk from the nicest beach in Buzios - Geriba, it is quiet but not too far from the main town, excellent bus services on the main road. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There are a number of activities included in the price of your stay, e.g. surfing lessons and quick massages at the pool. The rooms and setting were really lovely, would highly recommend a stay here.
stuff doesn't speak English, bad conditioning
Staff was very service minded and the package included in the hotel with panoramic tours, massage, bus service at night, surfing lesson, beach services made the stay very good value for money. The food, both lunch and dinner, was very fresh and of high quality. This is a very good beach place, not to be compared with a regular 4 star hotel - do expect ants etc in the rooms (but they do not bother you at all). I would come back, but probably not pay regular prices - only if special offering is available. We were first given a room with a bed on the floor and the size of the room was extremely claustrofobic - my recommendation to the hotel is only to offer these rooms at a reduced price for people actively looking for that type of accomodation (under 30?)
The staff were absolutely superb, although communication could be difficult, every effort was made to understand our needs.Any problems were resloved in minutes, and they went out of their way to make it a lovely stay for us. We had a fantastic time and want to thank all the staff. The only small suggestion i would make is there was not enough variety of food.
The hotel is well located and the overall quality of the infrastructure is very good. The breakfast buffet is quite nice with assorted options of both healthy food and also some pastries. The beach service is good with nicely located booth in Geribá beach with complimentary umbrellas and chairs for guests. There is also the option of purchasing beer and soft drinks and charge them to the room, another nice amenity. The massage therapist does a great job and I would definitely recommend the service. The restaurant has few options and unfortunately the food we tried in the only dinner we had there was not good at all. The room (loft) is really good and spacious but the space could definitely be better managed. Outdoor Jacuzzi (a great idea!) is really small - impossible for 2 people - and bathroom/shower space could be larger for the room size. Second floor has virtually no use. The "romantic package" could be better managed by the hotel staff overall, basically by not throwing service like it was standard and adding value to it. The overall experience was great but I really expected a lot more - specially from a service perspective - from a Boutique Hotel that pricy.
The resort was lovely and the staff were very friendly . Plenty of food and the atmosphere romantic. If you require a relaxing holiday then go to the Serena Resort. I had a very good time and would go back again
the design price too expensive for the room (very little) and location
Hotel situated in beautiful garden, nicely designed rooms. Breakfast-buffet unsafe (because cheese, butter and meat not cooled). Old, even moldy bread (brought twice a sample to the receptiondesk). Malfunction of hot water in the hotelroom not repaired during entire stay, many other technical imperfections. No bar services at the beach (although announced in website). Absolutely not in line with expectation of a five star hotel! We filed a written complaint 1.5 weeks ago about the services to the hotelmanager, but without an answer till now.
location, transporation and sense of safety.. price of dinner buffet $50.00 reias per person was to expensive and was not stated clearly before we begin to eat. The rooms had dirty floors and beds were on the floor. Lastly, pictures on the internet did not reflect the actual room.
Excellent accomodation and friendly stuff
The breakfast was delicious. There were too many palm trees in the swimming area blocking sunlight from the balcony, living room and bedroom, making the living area exceptionally dark.
Good location, peaceful, safe and relaxing, good staff.
Porto Bay has incredible employees, services, views and location
a very warm welcome on arrival. rooms very spacious , clean and comfortable. very relaxed atmosphere, not busy, plenty of space around the pool and in the lounge/ lobby area. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. breakfast was excellent sat outside round the pool. no bath
Very friendly staff. They also gave good advice for restaurants in Buzios. The property is quiet and relaxing, away from the noise of bars and restaurants. Overall, the hotel is very nice and well maintained. Noise sometimes in the morning due to maintance/construction in and around the hotel.
The room was quite beautiful, although the bathroom could have been better (no bath). The breakfast was great. There was no roomservice and the service at the pool or bar had a very limited menu (french fries, ham/cheese sandwhich) and was pretty slow (they were not available, you had to call them and service could take an hour). Not what I had expected for the costs of a 5* lodge.
Good taste in decoration, impecable services Room service menu is very limited in options and time.
Good service, warm and nice welcome. However due to the location, pool with limited sun, not to be compared to some of the other hotels in Buzios ...
Samantha was great. Location is good. The big brother feeling, the lack of information (in English) the available sites and adventures. The $50 bottle charge if brought out from other access, like grocery store, to the cloudy water poolside
The hotel is really pretty. The views from the pool are breathtaking. Also the hotel is very well located near two fabulous beaches
The location is simply excellent.
