10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully furnished very spacious apartment. Very good breakfast. Helpful owner. Good location when you want to visit Zingaro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience. We arrived to Curu after being in a fancy Masseria and, to be honest, I liked Curu more. The place has been decorated with some much detail and style, it is beautiful and very well taken care of. We were upgraded to a bigger room and it was just perfect. Claudio and his wife are lovely and they made us feel at home. The common area is great. Breakfast is SUPERB. Most of the goodies are bought from local bakeries or home made by the owner, DELICIOUS. We had fresh fruit juice, sweets, salty treats.. better than a 5 start hotel. Location wise, the hotel is quite in the center, just a few blocks from the main street and approx.10-15 min walk from the port, so I think it is very good. Parking can be a bit tricky, because anyway it is Italy :) but there is a big main street nearby where you can park (payment needed)
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B location was great, we enjoyed walking down to the port. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and the town is both scenic and charming. What we did like the most about our stay was a sense of feeling at home, the hosts were very helpful in making our stay very comfortable. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. Breakfast was great, lovely pastries, coffee and more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with modern design and fashionable features- amazing atmosphere n friendly owner- love u

Pros: Architectural gem
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was PERFECT ! The room is very cosy and comfortable, the location is great and the breakfast is marvelous (homemade cakes, fresh juices on demand, fresh sicilian pastries and any kind of eggs you can request). But the one thing that made the difference are the warm welcoming and kindness of Caterina, who made our stay even more amazing. We felt like home ! I think this is the best B&B we ever booked. EVER ! If it was possible, we would have definitely rated this B&B 11/10 :) Do not hesitate to book this lovely place, you won't regret it !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This acommodation was extraordinary. We chose it according to the great reviews, but still we were surprised how perfect it was. Claudio and Catherine were friendly, kind and very helpful, they gave us tips for perfect restaurants and places to visit. The room was large, well-furnished, stylish, with everything you need. We felt like at home. The room was perfectly cleaned everyday. Every morning started with a wide range of sicilian sweet food and homemade cake (Catherin is great chief)and best coffee in Castellammare and fresh juice. Location is great, near the center. We will recommend this accomodation to everyone and someday we must come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s better than a lot of 4 star hotels, the breakfast just can’t be better, it was a perfect stay for us.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Claudio and Caterina have been extremely welcoming and available to make the most of our stay. They have been flexible with the check-in timing and let us chose the room due to availability and we were very pleased with the comfort and decor of the property. Perfect location in the town centre, they provide a pass to be able to drive through avoiding fines. Parking is available in one of the small roads within the areas. Breakfast was fresh and mostly homemade. they really have great attention to details, would definitely stay again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had wonderful experience of spending one night at Curu. The room and the place itself designed and furnished so feel-at-home that you don’t want to leave. Exceptionally clean, brand-new, modern and cozy. Every single detail counts, starting with a note on coffee cups and finishing with the cleaning set
Cons: Nothing to mention

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very cosy, not like a “yet another” hotel room but the one what was decorated with thought and care. The staff were so nice and kind! We felt very welcome and actually extended our stay there :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel in Castellammare del Golfo: the location, the interesting and tasteful decor, and the super friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast spread was hands down the best we had during our entire stay in Sicily with everything you could imagine. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer as this was our last stop before flying home the next day. Highly recommended!
Cons: Parking can be challenging in this area, but the hotel provides a permit to place on the dashboard so that you are able to park on the street.

Pros: It was a great place to stay. Sylvie was just gorgeous and very helpful given she could speak little English. The elevator was welcome so as not to have to carry luggage up stairs . Rooms clean and spacious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was prepared with love and the cakes were handmade. The view from breakfast room on roof top over the mountains , the sea and the town is beautiful. The main boulevard with churches and bars is just a couple of minutes walk away. Alcamo is a town for people loving the sicilian athmosphere in its origin. In the town centre old houses, pittoresque balconies and churches are seen.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Silvia is a very kindly and helpful hostess. The view from the roof terrace over Alcamo down to the sea is spectacular.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had to leave very early, and the owner left a special breakfast for us in the fridge. We only wished we could have stayed for the full breakfast in the breakfast room with its absolutely stunning view.
Cons: Not easy to find somewhere close to park the car. In the end we had to park about 15 minutes away. Most restaurants were shut on Monday night, though we did find somewhere to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and courteous staff. Room small but spotless. Superb location for exploring Alcamo. One minor improvement would be tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely breakfast with lots of home baked goodies. I would certainly recommend.
Cons: Couldn’t fault the accommodation.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little BnB with delightful friendly staff in a great location. The breakfast was fabulous. All home made and different every day. The rooms are small but adequate with lovely views.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place looks like a proper mediterranean paradise. The structure is beautiful and very stylish though unsophisticated. Great welcoming and helpful staff, amazing view and terrace, very charming conversations and delicious homemade breakfast. The location has free easy parking easy access to main road and believe me, this is a big advantage given that the village is like a no free parking - labirynth like -narrow roads style village, really saved us so much stress.
Cons: Nothing, was the perfect stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice host, great location for an evening out in the center (5-10 minutes from the port and huge choice of great restaurants), however as it is so close to the historical center, the streets are narrow and it is easy to get lost, as my phone did not always find enough GPS to locate the proper tiny street we were in, but this just made our stay even better, it was so much more romantic... :) The building is also very close to the main road, so it is very convenient to explore the area.
Cons: We were worried about parking the car when we arrived, but we had no problem at all finding a place right next to the building.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful view over town and harbor. Nice room with a small but cool balcony. Good breakfast and very nice staff.
Cons: You must be prepered to walk hills and a lot of staires!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful reception by Anna. Offered us room options, besides the booked one. Great view of Castellammare from terrace. Magnificent breakfast by the ladies of the house, with daily freshly prepared goodies. Excellent value,
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great view of harbour below our room. Easy walk to restaurants. Quiet neighborhood.
Cons: Parking was close by but driving skinny streets a challenge for anyone with a-large car. Our fiat did great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner/staff were very friendly and helpful. They do all their own housekeeping and baking. Breakfast every morning was different and a delight, from the savouries to the amazing cakes and pastries. It was a pleasure to stay here and I would highly recommend it. Anna was helpful with information on the surrounding area and providing weather updates and suggestions to fit with the weather. The roof terrace affords a view over the harbour and is a beautiful place to sit. It's only a short walk to the harbour and town centre. The rooms were well equipped and even had corkscrew and bottle opener as well as kettle and tea.
Cons: Can't think of anything to improve on, it was so good.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Great terrace. Fantastic breakfast! Super friendly staff!
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect base for a short stay. Easy walking into the town and harbour with a large selection of bars and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with different choices each day.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: B & B Tannur is really special in every way: how the rooms are furnished (no Ikea furniture in it for sure), the view from the room, the terrace on the roof, breakfast, hospitality … At the arrival we were offered a bigger room with a small terrace instead of one we booked for the same price, Anna provided us with some coupons for discount in the nearby restaurants, breakfast was the best we had on our trip (I’m not very fond of sweet pastry for breakfast, but I couldn’t resist home-baked “dolce” at Tannur). Anna, thank you for your hospitality and my greetings to the lady who is preparing breakfast.

Pros: Excellent service minded employees. So friendly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was lovely. We were so happy with the hotel that we cancelled our accommodation elsewhere to stay another night. They supply a delicious continental breakfast which has so many options. The location of the hotel is great too. I would definitely suggest booking a room with a balcony, as the non-balcony room(s) feel a bit like a box.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern clean hotel, lovely pool area, plenty of car parking, beautiful sea views, great selection for breakfast, friendly helpful staff and great value for money. Walking distance (5 min or less) to the town centre. Quiet and comfortable.

Pros: The room was sparkling clean and very nicely decorated. Fantastic view towards the sea. The breakfast was outstanding with a large variety of warm!! food. Staff was very motivated and helpful with restaurant recommendations. We also liked the bar in the lobby area.

Cons: Nothing to dislike, all good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The pool was a great relief to the hot summer day. We loved that we had a small outdoor patio. The bathroom shower was great (massive) and the colored lighting in the bathroom was fun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All aspects very well done. Parking very helpful
Cons: If possible to have hair shampoo service
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean and very well equipped, the highlight of this hotel is its amazing views, particularly from the breakfast room. Within walking distance of some great local restaurants and a great menu of spa treatments onsite, this is a great offering that’s particularly notable for its friendly and very helpful staff.
Cons: It would be helpful to have an outline map of Castellmmare for reference by hotel guests. We had discovered the harbour by car via quite a circuitous route, so were quite amused when we later discovered how close the hotel was to it by foot!
6.8 Good
Pros: Hotel staff is attentive Our room had a view of the sea Clean Breakfast was ok
Cons: The hotel is blindingly white on the inside, feels uncomfortable to look at There was only 1 thin sheet on the bed, no duvet or comforter / blanket, only one set of pillows The bed is uncomfortable - felt like a cheap mattress Detachable showerhead was broken so it kept sliding down Poor bathroom layout - the shower door opens into the sink, very tight Bathroom toiletries were poor - no body wash or conditioner It's really puzzling how this hotel has such high ratings

Pros: Beautiful property in lovely location. Super clean rooms. Could do with slightly softer pillows, but otherwise excellent experience. Will definitely visit again!
Cons: Softer pillows.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The b&b is right in the center. You can see that it has recently been decorated very professionally. The bathrooms and rooms have an interior concept and look very nice and very hotel-like for a b&b. Everything was clean and cosy. The breakfast was very cute and held at the rooftop of the b&b (it was a bit cold because we were visiting in January, but still nice)
Cons: The arrival was a bit complicated. Upon arrival no one was there, so we waited a little bit and then had to call for someone to come. But despite of this everything was great.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Staff were so helpful and friendly, the resort is lovely and clean but not clinical. The room was spacious, modern, clean, quiet and the balcony was delightful. Swimming pool area was peaceful and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Handy location for getting to Palermo, Scopello and Zingaro Park.
Cons: A lot of the breakfast choices weren’t to my taste but they are having to cater for a multitude of nationalities and I couldn’t complain at a delicious croissant and coffee every day! Also, I would’ve preferred there being a restaurant and shop walkable from hotel but the road it’s on is definitely not safe for walking on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this resort was beautifully situated, the pool was fabulous, the staff could not have been more helpful, the facilities were spotless and exceptionally well presented. The breakfast was a feast and the restaurant overlooked the bay adding to the luxury of the morning dining. The grounds were beautifully maintained, it was relaxing and private

Pros: Everything :-) the pool was amazing with stunning views. The breakfast was delicious. I have never seen such a clean hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Daniella and Alessandro and their staff are wonderful and make your stay a joy. They are so welcoming and pleasant and always available to help you with anything you need. The food that is provided at breakfast is a real feast, fresh, local and so pleasant. The location is first class, close to the motorway but with no traffic noise. The grounds are well maintained and tidy. The sea view is magnificent and you can spend hours just looking at the coastal horizon. The accommodation could not have been cleaner and our room was cleaned and tidied and the beds made everyday. There is a great pool too. A wonderful experience! Thank you so much.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. This was a perfect stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was taken care of by the owners for us, we had an incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay, as they had thought of everything we might need.
Cons: No complaints, everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host family was super helpful and friendly. They have arranged in 10 minutes the help to open the rented car in which i have locked the keys inside.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: ...the whole stay was a pleasure- despite the fact that I was not feeling very good! The B&B is very nicely renovated (it used to be their grandmother's home) and the hosts are just incredibly heartwarming and supporting. I had a medical emergency the day after arrival and Daniela and Alessandro helped me with everything: my son (since I was travelling alone with him) was looked after while I had to spend the night at the hospital and they were sweet and obliging. The B&B has got a unique view over the bay of Castellammare del Golfo. The pool area is pretty - including the amazing view. The kitchen is great and you can cook there if you dont wanna go to a Restaurant. And the breakfast? Soooooooooo good! Freshly baked cakes, bread, cheese, juices - whatever you long for...:) And again - the hosts. They were all very very nice, helpfull and sweet - starting from the nephew to the main hosts and also the rest of the staff! Grazie mille a voi tutti!
Cons: Nothing at all...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice view from our room with private garden. Castellamare and other interesting villages (Trapani, Erice, Segesta, Marsala ...) are nearby, but you will need a car. The hosts were very friendly and helpfull and spoke English. They have a sailingboat, so you can go with them for a boattrip. (snorkeling in caves near a natural reserve, wonderful!!)
Cons: Maybe a few more beds (only 5) near the pool, there wasn't always enough space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully helpful owners, wonderful staff, wonderful breakfast, wonderful panoramic views over the coast and easy to get to off the highway. As with many accommodations in southern Italy, GPS coordinates and a GPS device is very helpful and reassuring to have if you are driving. Location is very near to picturesque Castellamare del Golfo port area, mountaintop village of Erice, Greek ruins at Segesta, and salt pans south of Trapani, and Palermo. Highly recommend quiet, scenic accommodation in the beautiful Castellamare del Golfo area.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Very difficult to park in the town in the evening as extremely busy

10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1) Great breakfast; 2) Beautiful, clean swimming pool; 3) Excellent screens on ALL windows to keep bugs and insects out; 4) Very friendly and helpful management team of Pietro and his wife.
Cons: Toilet could flush a little more thoroughly; water flow needs to be adjusted or strenghened.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rural location was excellent - very close to the Temple of Segesta. The owner went out of his way to lead us to the site when our GPS led us astray, and recommended a nearby restaurant at which we had a fine dinner. Next morning we enjoyed an excellent breakfast on the patio. The entire experience was exceptional.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great location and views near temple and theater of Segesta just a little distance down the streem from the B&B (go by foot from the B&B, otherwise have to park the car somewehere and go by bus for 5 euros and time consuming). Great swimming pool if you have time to enjoy, and good breakfast. Room was not really spacious but was clean and good beds.
Cons: communication with the host is in Italian as he does not speak English at all. He is very helpfull though and uses google translate to help you out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After being in big cities it was so cozy staying here and we relaxed. The restaurant we wanted to go was closed and we were too tired to go to the next city and find another restaurant. Since they ordered pizza for us, we had a lovely quiet dinner in the beautiful garden with the drink they offered which was reasonable. Thank you very much!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a great b&b run by a very nice young couple. It is a great base for exploring north west Sicily. It has a lovely terrace and swimming pool area to relax and enjoy the views. Easy parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place, close to Segesta, overlooking the landscape, beautiful, well kept pool and garden, very friendly hosts lovely who gave us a lot of useful local information - one of the nicest places of our trip around Sicily, we felt truly at home
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good parking, beautiful landscaped garden with brand new swimming-pool and lovely views, picnic tables, warm welcome (although difficult to communicate in English or French!), perfect location for Segesta Temple 2km away (really nice walk, beautiful countryside), a few mins drive from restaurants and shops, lots of cats!
Cons: We felt the lady owner could have been more helpful/friendly during breakfast. Toilet flush needs to be looked at.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Tutti. Tout. Our 3 days spent at la suite de Segesta were wonderful. Everything is here. First a postcard frame, green hills with vineyards and olive trees that you can contemplate from the beautiful garden or the natural pool. Then the spacious and pleasant room, the breakfast with the delicious homemade cakes. In short it is very comfortable, clean, quiet and relaxing, well furnished and decorated with excellent hospitality: the top! 1 big congratulations to Pietro and Sebastiana
Cons: Nothing. Niente. Rien
9.5 Excellent
Pros: close proximity to tourist attractions (e.g. Temple of Segesta, NR of Zingaro, salines of Trapani) - diverse breakfast (salty + sweet) - tea, coffee, cookies and fruits offered throughout the day - printed maps of the area upon our arrival
Cons: spring-beds

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giuseppe went above and beyond to make our group happy and comfortable. The breakfasts were very nice, and he even opened early on our last day to make sure we got something hot to eat before our flight. The rooms were clean and pleasant and the hotel is in a quiet street away from the main hustle of the town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giuseppe was so very helpful. Him showing us a virtual tour on google maps helped considerably when trying to bring our motorcycle to the bnb. He kindly let us house the bike in his garage which was most helpful as the town is so hilly. Evie too who made breakfast was lovely and helpful too. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and very clean. The bnb was right in the heart of the town. A beautiful place to spend a few days
Cons: No complaints
7.5 Good
Pros: The owner Giuseppe and his staff were very cordial, helpful and attentive. The place is immaculately clean, and located close to all amenities, includind a short 20 minute walk to the nicest beach. The place is not high end, but a good value.
Cons: The B&B is on a quiet street but it is so close to the park that the noise was disturbing, sometimes till 2am. Also, you need nerves of steel to traverse the narrow streets by car to drop off luggage. Free public parking is on a nearby street, but it might be tough finding a space after 9pm. We didn’t need the car to get around town, and mostly left it parked and walked everywhere (wear comfortable walking shoes). I would not recommend this town as a destination for LGBT couples.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: worth it

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The loveliest small hotel that I have stayed in. We were thrilled we had chosen it. All décor / furnishing of high quality, and dining room was very pleasant indeed. Wonderfully helpful Staff, all speaking enough English. My food intolerance was enthusiastically accommodated at breakfast. We were encouraged to take our time at breakfast, and often took tea/ coffee to their decked area at the front which overlooks the marina. All bedding was of high quality, and very comfortable. This Hotel is at the end of the marina, so quiet, with no late disturbances. Good reliable air con.. A lovely base.
Cons: I can honestly say that there is nothing about the Hotel/ Staff that I would like to have changed. Public transport within this town is somewhat lacking. There is a bus station, and you can get to Palermo in around 2 hrs. However, the bus station is quite a way from the marina, and it is quite a steep walk. Also, there are not a huge number of destinations. It felt limiting. The train station is about 4k from the marina, so a taxi trip away.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the promenade in front of the sea, plenty of restaurants and bars around, very clean, parking accommodation on site, which is a treat in the village. friendly staff. good ratio price/quality
Cons: A bit noisy inside, so depending on the guests, you might hear from the corridor into your room. Breakfast OK but not great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing. Location the best in Castlemare del Golfo . The shade of the mountain in the afternoon meant you could enjoy the deck whilst the whole old town was illuminated by the sun. The best spot in the town. For sure. Everything is only a 5 to 10 min walk. We will go back.
Cons: It was great !

Pros: Stayed here lots of times . Great location and friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed the beach terrace .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, spacious with nice decor. Exactly as pictured. Hotel is small and cozy. Nice breakfast that you can have on the veranda pictured in foto or inside. Air conditioning worked very well. We reserved a car spot by the hotel and it was well worth it, as during the weekend the street becomes a pedestrian area, but you will be able to drive in as a hotel guest. Location is fabulous to access in foot the port, center, and castle. Staff was absolutely delightful, courteous and very attentive with suggestions on what to do around town and beyond. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!!!!
Cons: Ever hung was right on! No complaints!

Pros: Good atmosphere, very helpful English speaking staff at the reception desk, great location in the center of a town, but still without a problem to find a parking space, very close to the beach and for evening walks in the city center or port. Nice detail is that you can use the coffee making machine and take a snack (fruit, croissant...) for the whole day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast with lots of fresh local fruit, amazing cakes and pastries with leftovers for the afternoon. I cannot fault the staff - always there to help, and good fun. The restaurants are only a short walk away from the hotel and the food was amazing. We loved the La Timpa restaurant. Amazing fish dishes and superb pizzas. The staff was professional and friendly Great view overlooking the sea.
Cons: I was a bit worried about parking our hire car before we arrived. Not a problem. There was always a free space in the side roads and the hotel had parking permits available free of charge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We twice booked this hotel and both rooms were excellent. The staff was very helpful. We needed an earlier breakfast for going earlier to the airport and without asking they presented a wonderful breakfast. The shower is excellent and the place lies on the best spot you can imagine in the middle of a lot of restaurants.
Cons: Really nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Big room and was clean.
Cons: Run down little place. Sad really as could be great. Needs more personal touches. Breakfast was super basic, one piece of bread nd half a tomato with tinned fruit. In Sicily, with all the fruit that are on offer.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff!!!
Cons: Could invest some money into renovations.
Overview Reviews
Located in Alcamo’s countryside just off the SS 119 road to Gibellina, Turismo Rurale Baglio Fastuchera is set in a 19th-century working farm. Guests can dine at the restaurant on site. The air-conditioned rooms all come with basic furnishings and a TV. Each has a private bathroom equipped with free toiletries and a hairdryer. The restaurant serves Sicilian specialities. Hot drinks, juice and pastries feature in the daily breakfast. Segesta Archaeological Site is a 20-minute drive from the Baglio Fastuchera. Palermo is 50 km away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host were exceptionally passionate and dedicated to their profession. it was an very relaxing and friendly experience that we would recommend to anyone who likes to get away from the busy world and dive into something else. The views from the property are fantastic. Everything was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The meals were prepared with a lot of love and we could taste homemade sicilian dishes at its finest. Our children felt immediately at home and did not want to leave again.. We all loved to stay there!
Cons: the is nothing we would like to change about our experience..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very rural location with stunning views across the valley. The hosts, Antonio and Stella, were so kind and helpful providing suggestions for visits in the area. Stella does evening meals upon request - wow! Simple, fresh ingredients prepared and cooked with love. Breakfasts are the same - with home cooked ricotta cake and juice so fresh you have to stir it. Even the drive up the track to Fustuchera from the road was entertaining
Cons: Nothing It was everything I hoped it would be, and more
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts, Stella and Antonio, are lovely people who genuinely care for their guests and do everything possible to make their stay enjoyable and memorable. The dinners that Stella cooked for us every evening were delicious and gave us an excellent experience of true Sicilian cuisine. As for location, it is in easy reach of Palermo airport and is a good base for exploring southwest and west Sicily. Altogether, very highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner are delicious. We strongly recommend to have dinner there. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Perfcet service. Everything we needed for our small child was available. The room was perfectly clean, well equipped and spacy.
Cons: ---
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Baglio Fastuchera is a marvelous place to stay in west Sicilia. Located in a peaceful and very beautiful spot near Alcamo, amidst olive groves and vineyards, it is relatively close to major touristic attractions such as Segesta and Erice. The room in which we stayed, as the whole place, was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, and the hosts, Stella and Antonio, extremely nice, friendly, interesting, and helpful. They opened their life to us and entered into our hearts. Besides, Stella is a marvelous cook. So don't miss her dinners. My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay there and very highly recommend it. We fell in love with both Stella and Antonio and the beautiful agriturismo that they run.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The central location was great, the views and property were absolutely beautiful, it was peaceful, the hosts Antonio and Stella were helpful, warm, and friendly, and Stella’s cooking (we had dinner there twice), was simply the best. Such great food, in a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere, and Antonio ever gave us a walking tour map with highlights to use in Palermo. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Cons: The beds were a bit firmer than we prefer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stella and Antonio were just such lovey warm hosts. Stella's food was absolutley delicious. They were so helpful and accommodating. The view over the rolling hills with the trees blanketing around the house. Couldn't want for more. Thank You
Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike apart from having to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stella and Antonio are charming and extraordinarily helpful. Dinners were excellent and elaborate. We could not be happier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at Baglio Fastuchera 5 times over several years. The reasons are simple. Stella and Antonio are super hosts - excellent fun, helpful and the food is wonderful. B. Fastuchera is a beautiful place high on the hillside with fabulous views. What more can you want.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stella and Antonio were great hosts, they really care about the guests. For my reason our small car can't not go through the last lane to the house. Antonio and his friend try their best to help us solve the problem, very appreciate for your help. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The sunset in front of the house was beautiful! Stella's food was delicious! We have a great dinner with local cuisine.

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free valet parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location near the ruins - a very easy walk. Parking very easy. Hotel had a nice rooftop area.
Cons: The town, even on the water, is nothing special and I would never go there if it weren't for the ruins. Never tried the hotel's restaurant or bar.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was within walking distance of Segesta temple so we could sit outside our room and enjoy the scenic view of the temple with it's surroundings and time our visit there to see it up close when it had fewer tourists. Our host was lovely and provided us with restaurant suggestions that were within 5 miles. Our room was spacious and clean. We were served a plentiful breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stay at this place really exceeded our expectations. It was our first stop on our Sicilian 10 days trip and probably on of the most memorable. Despite it being basically older house on the top of the hill, it has one of the most beautiful views we ever had, and it is definitely worth it. We arrived late in night and been welcomed by (i assume) son of the owner. We had room with private entrance and we could park our car right in front of it which was great. Room was ok, there was fridge full of some drinks beers or water for small fee, also bottle of red wine fo 8€... it wasn't the most beautiful or the newest room but that didn't ruin our experience at all and be honest it wasnt even what we were going for in here or what this place is all about...wonderful atmosphere, nice quiet romantic place outside of big cities or anything that can disturb you. Shortly after our arrival we decided to grab a bottle of wine and sit outside on little nice bench in front of house. Looking at the stars, listening frogs and cicadas, enjoying the stunning view of the Temple of Segesta,,and silence...just wonderful..what made our night even more special was that there was fireworks around 1am in nearby place, it was probably wedding as we could hear little music before..In the morning we enjoyed traditional italian breakfast outside on their little terrace, breakfast was of course sweet with some juices etc, but we expected it as it is typical ad it was mentioned. Anyway It is nothing better than enjoy it at the beautiful location like this. Owners also have the most beautiful cats which just had little kittens as well, we had chance to look at them and as i love cats I couldn't be more happier. Overall i think this is great place to stay for 1-or couple of nights, I would suggest to just fix couple of things and but would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the area.
Cons: There were few things we could mention - like quite noisy bed (which is mentioned in reviews quite often), shower/shower door which is really not in good condition, entrance to our room through old heavy door...etc...but all these were just a little things comparing to the wonderful atmosphere this place have,
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful setting. Sitting there looking at the sunset where the sun's rays shine on Segesta temple. It is a short walk to the archaeological park. Convenient indeed. Plus the 3 beautiful cats that are so friendly!
Cons: The internet connection was down due to the provider and we could not instagram our photos of the property!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view and the owner. She had a great personality and was very helpful.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and probably should be replaced. The screen of the window should be replaced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was abundant and excellent
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view to the Greek temple and the surrounding area. The fact that it was very rural
Cons: The electricity and water power went off, but was solved quickly
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location location location! If you want to have a wonderful view of a perfect Greek temple and be within a few minutes walk of the archaeological park in which it stands, then this is for you. Nothing fancy, but a very friendly welcome from the hostess, a spotless room and well equipped bathroom with a tasty breakfast. Thank you Antonia!
Cons: It was all very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view. Friendly host. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Wifi did not work.

9.1 Excellent (201 reviews)

With a stay at this apartment in Castellammare del Golfo, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Zingaro Nature Reserve and Guidaloca Beach. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Facilities and grounds are excellent. Accommodation is neat and clean. Close to supermarket and food outlets. Will stay there again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic and the residence I Faraglioni is the ideal way to explore it. Some of the best beaches of this part of Sicily are only few min. away: not just the marvellous Scopello, but also the Riserva Dello Zingaro (don't miss a visit at this wonderful natural park with its 7 small "calette" beaches, appearing one after the other along 7 km. of coastal walks: it will make one of your best memories, and I cannot describe the colours and freshness and cleaninnes of the water). Segesta, Marsala, Mozia, Erice, ad many other interesting places are also within easy reach. The trendy San Vito Lo Capo with its white sand beach is about 45 min. away, and Castellammare Del Golfo is only about 20 min. away. You will need a car to enjoy freely all these places. Without car you can still reach excellent local beaches and Scopello, but a car is essential to take the most of this part of Sicily, which has so much to offer. It is a quiet part of Sicily and driving is super-easy. If you rent through Ryanair be aware that the rental Company may not be located inside the Palermo airport, but if so they will offer an excellent shuttle service, which will take you to the rental company building in 10 minutes: this made things even easier for me, because it was at 500 mt. from the motorway, in the right direction (30 min. from I Faraglioni). The residence itself offers a small, but refreshing swimming pool (due to be replaced with a bigger one next year), barbecue facilities, and also home-grown vegetables (tomatoes, if you come at the right time), herbs, (oregano, sage), and excellent lemons, which you are free to pick and enjoy. It is a very quiet and relaxing place, with a couple of convenient mini-markets and a nice bar at a walking distance. Claudio and all the staff are extremely helpful and kind, and make you feel at home.
Cons: No much can be improved, really. I'm planning to come back soon to the same residence. I do travel a lot, but this part of Sicily is very special (quiet, rural, unspoiled, easy to drive, and free from cement), and this residence is my perfect home. My recommendation is to go (like us) at the end of May/beginning of June to avoid the crowd and get much better prices (less than half, compared to August) and much more quietness. September and even October may be also O.K. The sofa bed could be a bit more comfortable, but in the end we have all slept very well. There are no restaurants at a walking distance: you need to drive to the Scopello village or to Castellammare, or there is an excellent Pizzeria about 10 min. away by car, as soon as you enter the main road (strada statale) in the direction of Castellammare (Pizzeria Las Vegas, I believe: simple place, but excellent pizza, cold beers, and low prices, just what you want!).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Garden, swimmng pool, vegetables on garden for guests and inviting to dinner for all guests from Residence. There is wash machine, it was really nice surprise for us, because we had salty towels :) Near is supermarket with bar for breakfast and good butchery and nice beaches, but car is neccesary.
Cons: We forget in bathroom shampoos etc and next day they could not find it. It was our mistake, but I hope, they did not throw away.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely apartment, friendly staff, nice gardens where you can pick produce. Our second stay here and everything was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Claudio gave us lots of tips about where to go. Pleasant apartments. Quiet. Nice garden and good views. Close to beautiful nature reserve Zingaro.
Cons: Although the sea is nearby, it is not that close that you just walk to the beach.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He was born for this job. It was a pleasure talking to him. Thank you from Munich!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was perfect for our use. Claudio was very helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff really helpful and wonderful garden. We could pick own vegetables
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location, at the door of the Zingaro reserve. We had a nice apartment, big enough for 4 people, and well equipped. Each apartment has a small terrace but withour seeing the neighbours. Excellent welcome!
Cons: No wifi inside, but you get it outside, few meters further
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. The accomodation was clean, comfortable, spacious and well planned. The location was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpfull.
Cons: My only negative point was the absence of kitchen utensils. For instance no bread knife or other sharp knives, no wine glasses. I wouldnt expect the kitchen to be fitted for serious cooking but a little more in the way of utensils and crockery would help.

Pros: The staff were outstanding. I asked for a change in accommodation and they were very accommodating. We were staying there for 5 days and nothing was too much trouble. Beach nearby - all on a golf cart. Pool adjacent to the hotel but not too close to the hotel. Breakfasts were amazing - plenty of choice and different locations available (inside and out). What is excellent about the hotel is that the staff all get on well with each other, it is not just for show and everything was done professionally and with a personal interest.
Cons: Beds were a little uncomfortable - too hard and not giving for a pleasant sleep

Cons: It was all good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool, activities for the kids, great breakfast, parking outside
Cons: Breakfast almost empty 0930
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A truly wonderful experience at Hotel Punta Nord Est. Believe the ratings! Sea view room a must. Wonderful views and lovely to sit out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings. The hotel is spotlessly clean and credit to all involved. The friendliness of the staff really shines through from reception staff (many thanks to the receptionist originally from Aberdeen, didn't catch your name) , pool staff, breakfast staff and cleaning team. Breakfast has a great mix between savoury and sweet treats. The games room is massive, filled with ping pong table, table football, younger kids section and games machines (ps4, wii u). Enough to keep the kids busy. Pool is a good size and whilst crowded at times we always found a spot. Pool bar/kitchen is great serving beer wine gelato and some hot food including some great Arancini. Plenty of parking spaces, a ten minute walk into town and a fifteen minute walk to the beaches. (would recommend Lido Peter Pan). This is a top quality hotel and whilst a three star hotel it is just so much more. We will be back in the coming years!
Cons: There is no evening restaurant, but to be honest I don't really think it's needed. Explore the town, loads of great restaurants, and only minutes away.

Pros: A great hotel and the front desk lady was amazing and very enthusiastic. Breakfast by far the best we have had.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building on harbour front Rooms comfortable Plenty of outside space for sitting and relaxing in
Cons: Nothing was perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Top location in a small romantic port. Clean room, good room service.
Cons: We were in the hotel on a Saterday evening. A bar nearby had extremely loud disco-music. Impossible to sleep until they stopped, around 3h30 in the morning. I take a hotel to sleep, a restaurant to go and eat. The hotel management tried to stop the music by calling the police but they didn't showed up. The hotel management didn't suggested anything to cover the 1 night without sleep. That is a real pitty, because otherwise my score for this hotel would have been higher then 9.
10.0 Excellent
