Right on the water, fantastic view from room, and could swim easily right in front of the hotel. the interior of our room was atrocious - painted a schockingly bright blood red with broken mirror bits glued to the walls. really tacky and jarring. just should have kept it to something simple and soothing. overall the hotel had really really tacky decor. but it was only one night and loved teh location and ability to swim.
We had a very romantic stay in Hotel Kalura withe wonderful seaview and having the facility to take breakfast at the terras above the sea by wonderful early sunshine in november was the max !!!
Superb view, if room on seaside. Fine rooms and facilities. Acceptable dinners and breakfast. Excellent private beach and pool. The hotel is not directly located to the centre of Cefalu.
The view from our bedroom onto the sea and the seaview terrace where we had breakfast Hotel a bit oldish although visibly renovated, it still feels old.
The friendly and helpful staff and the private beach Could be a little noisy at night - albeit we had a room at the front of the hotel so could here all the comings and goings
Beautiful setting and view from the room, easy to find, quiet location, great beach. The airconditioning didn't work, but we only stayed for one night and there was a nice breeze
staff were very pleasant eve meal and waiter excellent breakfast .. a bit grim .. orange / apple juice undrinkable very lack lustre
The view from the terrace The evening meal.
Wonderful view of sea from room and breakfast terrace. Location just outside Cefalu. Very relaxing complex. Good wi fi in public areas.
The scenary was great. The room and veryting else was basic and there was no refrigerator in the room. Our room 108 was above the kitchen and the staff was very loud until 0100 am. We called the from desk and still the yelling and pan noise was the same.
The hotel is immaculate and beautifully kept. The staff cannot do enough for you and are very friendly without being over the top. A delighful hotel.u
Great location, not too far from the city (Cefalu) and the beach but far enough to be quiet and relaxing. Very friendly and helpful staff with good English language skills. Great local food, both for breakfast and dinner. The shuttle bus service let us down once.
The view was lovely. The staff very accommodating. We arrived after the lunch hour, however they served us a lovely salad on the terrace - free! Nothing at all.
The hotel was very clean and the Bar Manager was an absolute gentleman. We had a lovely stay in Alberi Del Paradiso. The hotel bus shuffle service to the town was very helpful and an appreciated service. The bed itself in the room we stayed was too hard. The room was lovely however we slept very uncomfortably due to the hardness of the mattress. One thing I would recommend for the hotel would be to review the restaurant menu... provide more options.
Hotel interior and gardens were very good and well presented. sea view fine. Bed mattress too hard. swimming pool not kept clean towards end of season (31/10)
Staff really helpful, excellent facilities We really enjoyed the experience.
Hotel and its facilities
The atmosphere was relaxing, food and service was wonderful. A bar located outside would of been nice. Beds were kind of hard but not as bad as other places visited in Italy.
all staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and ready to help, and be flexible to my needs. the room was pleasant and clean. the breakfast was really excellent. the gardens were full of beautiful mature trees, shrubs and flowers with a spacious covered car park adjacent. i think you should offer tea-=making facilities in the room. also i found the shuttle bus was too infrequent. if at all possible it would be useful to have breakfast availbale earlier then 7.30.
For 350 Euro/night this hotel was terribly overpriced. Our suite was two small adjoining rooms dimly lit with only two straight back chairs to sit on.Overall I would not recommend this hotel at those prices.
breakfast was good, lobby decor is nice pool isn't heated, smell of sewage on first night
The beach facility was nice, even though it was away from the hotel. The breakfast service was really bad. We had to wait for 15 min. for a table, even though they were not occupied, and 4 waiters were in the room without cleaning the used tables......
Quiet, excellent view, nice beach area, nice room with balcony and sea view I would recommend anyone to choose room with balcony.
Friendly staff and excellent leisure facilities Our first hotel room was unpleasant and smelled of poor drains. We were immediately moved and upgraded to a lovely room.
Wonderful location. Beautiful hotel with a great staff! The breakfast each morning was very well done with a lot of choices. The dinning room served very nice and healthy meals.
The location of the hotel, just outside the town and overlooking the sea is good, and the bar manager was particularly professional and welcoming. The location is blighted by the rail line alongside the hotel. Nowhere is this mentioned on the website and the trains thundered past our room every 20 minutes. The hotel is unkempt and in serious need of care and attention, and the waiters were rude. All in all an unpleasant, overpriced experience and we shall not be returning.
very expensive bar drinks served in very ordinary glasses(15 euros for two small beers and a kitchen glass of campari) Breakfast coffee in thermos flasks! the worsy coffee I have ever tasted anywhere in Italy
the peaceful relaxed atmosphere and the food was supberb they could not lend us an iron
Location seems in need of a refurbishment
Staff was very nice and helpful Our room was the smallest room I have ever had. Very uncomfortable, only place we could open our suitcase was on our small double bed. I would not stay in this hotel again
The central situation. Attractive, decor, friendly staff. Ideal for a short stay while seeing the area. Our request for a change of room with separate beds was quickly seen to. Thankyou for a pleasant stay. Tea making facilities in our room would have made our stay perfect.
Lovely new, small hotel with attractive rooms. Superb location. Nice small courtyard to sit in. Would like to have been offered a second coffee at breakfast.
Newly refurbished nice, small and cosy hotel in the middle of Cefalu. Very nice and friendly staff. Quiet despite the location in the center of the town.
peaceful and quiet surroundings bathroom ok, but the shower was unbelieveably small...
Hotel was a bit difficult to find but a very nice plkace Would go back there again
Good size, comfortable, and quite room with balcony. Car parking available (7 Euro). Relatively poor breakfast in basement room. Very steep walk from town.
Quiet location and available parking. Breakfast was fun with an automatic coffee machine that produced an excellent cup of cappucino.
Nice hotel. It's italian, so don't expect too much. There's about 10 parking spaces in the back for 7 euro a day or a few free spots in the front. The hotel is up on a hill, it's walking distance from everything as long as you don't mind the up hill hike to get back to the hotel. AC didn't get cool but it wasn't too hot in the room.
No elevator, very poor breakfast and pricy dinner
Nice pool The hotel is situated on the steep hill - climbing every time to get back. Poor breakfast. They withdrew money for staying even before my arrival!
Nice hotel, about 15 minutes walk uphill from the town so maybe not for everyone. Excellent parking right outside the hotel. Breakfast very simple which is typical of Sicily in general. Probably the best reasonably priced hotel we stayed in.
Poor location, staff not very nice, not a nice atmosphere.
The pool was nice. It felt as though the staff had the attitude that I was inconveniencing them by staying in the hotel.
Wonderful location and facility. Good breakfast. Bellman was great!
Friendly staff in an excellent beachfront location with convenient walking distance access to historic center of Cefalu
This was the worst experience with a hotel stay I have ever had - including adventures in china, vietnam, cambodia, indonesia, europe, and U.S. It was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with staff and management at any lodging anywhere in the world. Booking.com states that wireless internet is available "in the entire hotel." In fact it is only useable in the basement. Internet access is imperative in my travels and job related responsibilites - it is why I booked this hotel along with the location. When I had to leave after one night - which informed management of within an hour of arriving and after discovering that internet would not work in room as the booking.com confirmation indicated - I was told by management that paying for the one night was sufficient with no penalty applied. 4 days after I left they did an unauthorized charge for an additional night to my credit card. I returned to Cefalu, at their request to get a refund, and they refused when I got there.
Good location next to the beach and 5 minutes walk from the town. One of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Walls and doors paper thin and pipes extremely noisy.
Convenience for visiting northern Scicily and Cefalu in particular
Staff were off-hand, breakfast was poor.
They were very accomodating.
Positioning of the hotel - very nice and quiet place. Exterior of hotel- very interesting and nice design. Permanent breakfast menu every day during whole stay - quality was very good but nothing to choose.
The pool and garden area were very good and we enjoyed our breakfast that was delivered to our room. The bathroom was fine, but I do think the room is in need of being modernised and we had to share our terrace with the guests in the next room.
We paid extra for a room with sea view and balcony but was presented a room without. After some discussion we got a room with balcony but no sea view.
We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The hotel is situated in a quiet area and we loved the pool and garden under the olive trees. The room was small but the balcony/patio with a view of the sea and the sunset made our stay more enjoyable and romantic. We will recommend this hotel for a romantic stay for couples. Extra charge for beach towels. The beach is somewhat crowded.
10 mn walk from the beach in a nice residential area far from the center of cefalu, 5 km, only 4 buses a day to go to the center (in october) and the last one left at 6 30 pm from cefalu.
Location Shower in new rooms is pretty cramped. Waiters not always friendly but reception people very nice. Breakfast only till 9.30 am
Nothing really, it's nothing to comment but alot of things we did not like it is much overpriced, very small rooms, npoiy and no view
We stayed in a 3-bed room with a terrace having a magnificent view over the town and the sea. Short walking distance to restaurants in the old town and to the beach. Upslope and flight of stairs to the hotel. Kind and helpful personnel.
free using internet via WiFi (wlan), big room. Free Parking. Great vue from balkon over Cefalu, see and mountain. Free use of kitchen.
B&B full, so were given an apartment in the old town. Much more convenient
nice breakfast, balcony with ok view. friendly people, drove us into town, train station. miles away by car from town centre and beaches up winding road up hill. walking took 20mins up and down stairs. needed better signposting, hard to find.
Miko was very helpful & efficient
Very nice staff and very good breakfast:) Room was not cleaned every day. Sheets were not changed only the bed was made. Bathroom very very small especially the shower cubicle.
Very hospitable. The whole family was involved and very nice. Spectacular view over the whole city and beach from the balcony. It was a little bit difficult to find it and maybe "easy access" is not entirely applicable since you have to climb 150 steps to get there on foot.
Very nice family and excellent breakfast.
common bathroom, 2 very different rooms with the same rate
the location is good and the pool is massive. the staff at the reception was ok, good english and polite. the house-keeping staff kept the room clean. Price for the hotel is 5star however the quality is hardly 3star. the rooms are horribly outdated with stains on walls and linens, wobbly beds, awful colour of walls, tiny TV, smelly cuboards, etc...the breakfest room is similarly unattractive and tacky. all in all the hotel could have been OK, say, 30 years ago but apparently no investments since then. for 160 eur/night I would expect something much better. the hotel is not a value for money at all, never again.
liked location terrible smell of sewage in bathroom which we complained about twice but they said it was due to outside drainage
All of it! Exceptional value for money
The weekly fish dinner in the restuarant. (Only time we ate there) No front on the shower - reported but nothing was done- hence floor got wet with every shower and there was nowhere to put the soap in the shower. No lampshade on the bedside lamp - having one would have have been a lot better than looking at a bare bulb.
Location, pool in summer and breakfest buffet ( from 7 more or less the same price level hotels in Sicily it was the best) was very good. Rooms need renovation, very uncomfortable.
great location, excellent parking room darkening inadequate
The hotel is close to the sea and there is a sandy beach not far away. And there is a huge pool for swimmers! The coffee at breakfast - it was ugly. I hope they will get a new coffee machine or repair the old one!
The breakfast was dreadful, the coffee was supplied by a machine!
The breakfast is better, than in 3 stars and 4 stars hotels.
The starting rate is too high (200€), therefore the final reduction to 90€ per room is not a bargain at all once you see the site and especially the rooms. The rooms are smelly, the beds are like from a dorm, the wall-colours are terrible and there is no picture anywhere. Not really value for money.
Scenery view, value for money and excellent staff
Location in the historical town centre. A heavy smell, probbably from the the oil separator of the resturant down under, destroyed our first night. The personell denied any smell, but eventually agreed us to change room. Kitchen badly equipped. The so called breakfast was coffee and a sweet cake. It should not be allowed to be called B&B, since the last part was a joke. To expensive for its standards.
Good location and relatively inexpensive comparitively. If you like basic then this is the place for you. But bring your own towels!!! The scaffolding that no-one mentioned beforehand, the lack of fresh towels or bed linen, the lack of staff in general.
The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful , the view from the terazza is spectacular and the breakfast served at the piazza del Doumo is very nice. It is a very relaxing place to stay
I would like to write my opinion in 3 language that more people can save themself from this ´hotel´ I liked nothing! Nic! Niente! The staff was very unfriendly and when I asked about help with my luggage he was very angry because he prefered to stay in the internet as always when I saw him.He never say hello to customers. The price was very high for such bad quality Bed and Breakfast it costed me the same as 4 stars hotel in Palermo which was very elegant and classy. The breakfast was in cafe in the main square but only a small cake!!!The room and bathroom was uncredibly small and dirty. They clean it only 1 time every 3 days!!!Incredible!!!I Had to use the same towel for 3 days! The computer for customer was broken so I couldn´t use internet! Da evitare! Do not go there! Omijac z daleka!!!
Location. Balconies back and front. Good staff.
The room was very comfortable. Franco the owner was extremely helpful. The view was spectacular! The location was great. I would highly recommend. We stayed in six different places during our vacation through Southern Italy. This was our favorite and the least expensive.
Clean and comfortable excellent view of the ocean from room Firstly the lack of staff plus the scaffolding which was not mentioned on booking also has three flights of steps with no elevator and very poor parking. We had to park all day on the beach front which cost a pretty penny then had to drag our cases from there to the hotel plus up all those steps. Quite a challenge as there was seven of us.
Great location, room very clean and staff very helpful always ready to help us! We will come back definitely
Its location and the fridge in the room When we wanted to check in there was nobody at the hotel, we also had people banging on our door at 2 in the morning
