Pros: Alberto was a great host and we had a wonderful view from our room! The bed was super comfortable and we had a great sleep. I loved the smell of the jasmine flowers upon entering the grounds of the BnB. The orange trees surrounding the house made it feel like a little green oasis.

Pros: Loved it so much we stayed extra nights. Alberto and Allesandra are wonderful hosts. So friendly and helpful with tips on where to eat and places to visit. They also serve an incredible breakfast. The B and B is very clean and comfortable. The short walk into town was no problem. The climb up to the top of La Rocca was breathtaking. We have nothing but great things to say about our experience!

Pros: It’s a beautiful B&B situated in a converted church, up on the hill in Cefalu, about 15 minute walk down to the beach, and 20-25 minutes to the old city. The hard working young couple that own it, Alberto and Alessandra, did a fabulous job of creating the B&B. Our room was small but comfortable, with a view over the Mediterranean. Bed was very comfortable, newer bathroom, very clean, AC worked well, quiet. There is a private parking on the property. The back yard is planted with orange trees, flowers, has a lounge chairs and a jacuzzi. Very good breakfast was served on the front terrace. We would stay there again if we will visit Cefalu.

Cons: The location was up a hill to get to the centre of town so it wasn't the most central location but it was very quiet and had safe and ample parking as a result.

Pros: Reception (Silvano)...awesome and thorough. Knows the area very well and provided a map with interesting points to look for. We had been in Cefalu in 2006 so it was a bit of a reminisce for us to see the same sites/sights again, including the underground aqueduct! Great view from our balcony of the fortress on the hill, as well as the lungomare boardwalk. Lots of restaurants around although a fair majority are closed for holidays, ferie or season until springtime. Nonetheless Silvano recommended a nice place (Il Porticciolo) near the Centro Storico with a great selection of food and wine! Duomo and Chiesa is nearby as well as are other several places of antiquity. Beaches were walkable. Luckily temperatures were far better than our own country at this time of the year, so it's still well worth the visit. Breakfast was plentiful and a nice variety, with an excellent view of the seaside. While it's a short walk to the old part of town and shops, it's worth the extra steps!!!

Cons: in winter VIctoria is closed, so instead of saying so right away, you go there. find a sheet of paper saying, call Cefalu Sea Palace where you then end up. Not nice with parking and luggage! They were a bit surprised that we wanted bar service in winter but did provide it after some time.

Cons: No real negatives to speak of. The place, in the offseason, was clean, approachable and accessible. Parking is not so easy as it's on the opposite side of the hotel, which you had to pass to get to the front door (also on a one way street). I parked like all other Italians... Anywhere! I made the trek afterwards to park properly underground with instructions from Reception. Shower area needs a bit of maintenance to the rubber seals as water was getting out from around the glass panels. Minor, but you had to be careful when exiting. Also noticed small ants behind the bidet and toilet, which seemed odd at this time of the year and considering there's no food in the room. Strange really. Should have mentioned this to the staff. Bathroom was spotless btw.

Cons: We asked the concierge to recommend a hiking trip in the Madonie mountains, but her recommendation was misleading and we lost a hiking day and got a day driving winding roads in an otherwise thrilling landscape.

Cons: I paid extra so my friend can stay with me for 2 nights. Everything was sorted when we first checked in. However, the front desk called and tell us to check out the next morning as they didn't even communicate to each other. We had to explain to them again which was frustrating.

Cons: The check-in is till 22. We were lending late in Palermo and supposed to pick up rented car and then drive straight to Cefalú. We had extra time but we weren't sure how long the car rent company will take (or the flight could be late) so we told Mirko we might be late for 30-60 min top (2 days in advance). We were repetedly told after 22 it's not possible even if we texted from the airport for example we will be late for 10 min. We made it till 22 so it was okay but we were worried the whole time and afraid we might loose the money. After arrival we waited for Mirko to come (he arrived by car) and then it was okay and he was very nice and helpful.

Cons: We stayed here for one night on new year's eve. We were told that the hotel was closed since summer and was only open for that night. The water in one of our bathrooms was a very dark brown and smelling of metal. The hotel unilaterally decided to do away with our breakfast that was included in the price stating that the hotel was only open for one day and we were the only ones who had breakfast included! Instead they served us coffee, some hard croissants (though a second serving was OK) and preserved hard bread wrapped in plastic, in a dark breakfast room that was not nice at all. The heating from the a/c's in two of our three rooms was not effective enough and there were no extra blankets in those rooms.

Cons: I can honestly say this was the worst breakfast experience in all the hotels we stayed in Sicily - we stayed in 7. The bread was pre-packed - pre-frozen stuff (one day the bread had green mould on it, the staff obviously putting new bread on top of old) There was no evidence of fresh home cooked food which we had experienced throughout our tour of the island and in the smallest of B&B's Lunch was pretty basic , reheated ready meals and sandwiches, there is clearly no Chef employed at this hotel Staff were friendly enough but little evidence of any basic customer service training

Cons: This hotel is almost out of the city, thought Chefalu is a small town. Located near the highway, the city center is in 30 minutes by walk. The information about “beach in 15 minutes from hotel” is not very accurate, because the beach near the hotel is not public, public beach is also in 30 minutes walk. The room seemed to be clean, but there was strange smell in the room. Walls are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbors having shower:) You better not take room “with the view”, because your windows will be at the highway and trees will block the sea view. There is no elevator, and it’s a problem to carry all the luggage(( though the women in the reception helped us, but still we had a lot of luggage and the situation was awful. There was no English speaking staff, but we managed to understand each other. Also, it’s a shame that hotel uses plastic for breakfast purposes.

Pros: BREAKFAST is disgusting. every day the same thing, coffee, juice is not coffee and not juice. The restaurant on the first floor is great, real coffee and good ice cream, I recommend it. The whole hotel is clean perosnel is nice.

Cons: The rooms are very poor..old furniture, and the bed was not comfortable at all. The room was facing the see and you could hear all the noise coming from the bar downstairs.

Cons: Staff not very helpful at reception. Room maid was very good and made great effort to speak English. No one else did!! Winding halls to rooms very confusing.

Cons: The hotel was in two sections, it took two seperate lifts or flights of stairs to access our room. Our room was shabby, the aircon was very tempermental, the shower head was broken. The lift stopped working for a whole day. The coridors in our section of the hotel were badly lit and filthy. The food was awful. The floors were wet and we witnessed an accident where an elderly lady slipped and cracked her skull.
