I reserved the smallest standard transmission car and upgraded to a slightly larger model with a GPS which was comfortable, easy to drive and enabled us to navigate the very small roads in little towns in France. Many roads are poorly marked with the route signs so we couldn't have traveled without the GPS. Pick up and drop off went smoothly and the taxi stand (to get a cab to take us to the riverboat in Avignon) was just outside the rental agency's door.Europcar
