An SUV makes an ideal vehicle for getting around and exploring the regions in and beyond “The Bush Capital”. You can load up an SUV with equipment for outdoor recreation, friends, and picnic supplies, whether you are going to the lake downtown or to a nature reserve miles away. The wide streets of the city will easily accommodate a larger vehicle, and when you hit the open road toward nature's bounty beyond the city limits, you will have power and traction as you navigate rougher roads.
In Canberra, city streets and residential streets have a speed limit of 31 mph, posted as 50 km/h. More major roads in the city, however, have a speed limit of 37 mph, posted as 60 km/h. School zones have a speed limit of 25 mph, posted as 40 km/h. For those driving car rentals in Canberra, remember that the speed is posted in kilometers, so it is higher than it would be in mph. So, when you see a posted speed such as 50, your instinct might be to drive 50 mph, which would result in your speeding egregiously.

NothingCons:
The reservation was cancelled after I booked the advertised car online through a 3rd party website. It was a very disappointing experience to have to try again 5 times to actually have the booking accepted. Why don't the 3rd party rental companies and Thrifty communicate better so customers actually have a good experience instead of tearing out their hair?6.4 Okay
