We have access to a copy of our vehicle insurance through an on line app. If you don’t bring a copy that verifies a rental car will be covered through your insurance. If you don’t have proof of tha5 you will have to pay for extra insurance.

When refueling it is necessary to pay first at the bowser. Check the bowser as there are usually 2 pumps - one will only fill with premium fuel (red pump) whilst the other (green or black) will give you a choice. I had a disappointing experience with this car rental company. I rented a small Kia for only about 7 hours, but I was required to provide a CAD 1,500 deposit/hold, which felt very high for such a short rental. The deposit was also not returned immediately. When I called after 3 days, I was told it could take around 10 to 15 business days, which can be up to about 2 to 3 weeks. I feel this is too long and should have been clearly explained before I signed the rental agreement. At pickup, I had to wait more than 45 minutes while standing, and after that I felt rushed to sign the contract without a clear explanation of the conditions, including the deposit return timeline. I also found a few water bottles left in the trunk and had to dispose of them myself. Overall, the process felt poorly explained and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to use this company again.

They will also hold $1500 deposit on your credit card, 5-7 business days as per the contract, but it’s been 12 business days I still don’t have a refund. The drop off agent was exceptional. The pickup process was poor. One agent with 6 people in que. one customer took 15 minutes. Finally two additional agents stepped in. Accelerated fast check in did not work for me. Car had a lot of minor scratch marks which I don’t care about other than concern of being charged. The biggest issues is after 10 minutes of leaving I received a low fuel notification and had to find a gas station. I was expecting a full tank.

The pickup with Avis at the airport in Vancouver BC (YVR) and the return at the airport in Portland OR (PDX) later the same day were very professional and without any concerns. The car was absolutely fine, a Hyundai Sonata which was a complimentary upgrade from a Toyota Corolla. The cost however for this one day rental was quite expensive, which I presume is a manifestation of renting in Canada and returning in the United States. But since it was less expensive than two airplane tickets (though not by much) it was the option we chose. Other than the cost, the rental was absolutely fine.

When we arrived the car ready for us was a 5-passenger, not a 7 as we had reserved. After some discussion, an 8-passenger car was made available at the agreed-upon rate, but we had to wait 30 minutes while it was prepared. That car was still not really clean, especially the inside of the windshield. The tires were also way over-inflated. It proved to be a good vehicle over the two weeks we had it. The staff at the location were courteous and freindly, if a little disorganized.

Very easy and efficient. We landed, picked up our bags then called and they came to pick us up right away. Just a few minutes away from the airport stopped in to sign the paper work and we were on our way. Drop off same thing, very easy. Dropped vehicle off they do a walk around and shuttled us to the airport right away. Awesome experience. Great price.

Pick up was good, price is reasonable. Drop off took more than 60mins as i had to wait, only one representative for rentals. Was a busy day but took me less than 5 mins after finally talking to a representative.

Melissa at the front was great. The car rental was excellent! And best priced out of everyone. Super close to the airport and they pick up you up and drop you off as well. Much lower prices than the rentals at the airport too. Don’t be nervous, book with them.. and ask for Melissa

I wouldn't say it was fantastic, hate it when they try to sell you extra insurance. When you already have it. Ordered a wildcard for 2 large cases they said I didn't. Hidden costs I proberly got charged for that I don't know of.

They tried to give us a vehicle that was smaller than what we requested for the same rate. Then they gave us a vehicle that didn’t hold the amount of luggage that was advertised. We had to put luggage on some of the seats and in between the front seat and next row of seats.

I called several times to arrange an airport drop off (unbeknownst to me booking was for a remote location drop-off) but was told it was not possible. Upon bringing car back to remote location (cutting into vacation time) I was told it would be better to return it to the airport which I ended up doing the following day. Get it together!!! Grrrrrr.

We were given a free upgrade to an EV. Unfortunately, there were several EV related charges added to my bill. Very difficult to contact Hertz. They only want online messages sent. I did that on Monday and have not heard back yet, while the amount was, of course, already charged to my credit card.

the young lady was at hertz seems very unprofessional. she did not mentioned that how to drop off car keys or she did not mentioned that how much money they will charge on my credit card. they did not give any explanation. she just hand over the keys to me and get my signature. even when i asked her question she answer that question falsefully. the another co worker interrupted her and corrected answer. worse experience ever

I liked the fact that they gave me a free upgrade to the vehicle I requested. However, there was very little communication or indication that the pick-up location would be closed at 5pm and there was no after hour pick-up number or anything. I came a half hour later and then had to book another hotel with my son and come back the next morning to pick up the car. When I asked if my drop off location was directly at the airport they said yes. However the day of my drop off I checked the address in my itinerary and it is NOT at the airport. Very annoying!

My wife broke her wrist enroute to Canada requiring surgery in Fiji. At pick up I asked Dollar to change name of driver to mine. They said that the booking agent would not pay them if they didn't charge me NZD289 as an additional driver. In the circumstances I thought this totally unreasonable.

The price was great. Service to and from the airport was good. This business is the same rental agency that does not have very good reviews. They have done a rebrand and now go by a different name. The car was reasonably clean but smelled inside. There were many scratches on the outside of the vehicle and 3 out of the 4 hubcaps were scratched. If you like the price rent from this agency but document the damage very closely. As mentioned the price point is very good but I feel their advertising is deceptive.

Worst experience I’ve EVER had with a rental car. Despite talking to them before I even left my departure airport, when I arrived in YVR and called them for a shuttle to get the car, they told me they didn’t have my reservation. I had prepaid for the car. I was told they didn’t have my reservation (even though they found it during the first call). The guy in the phone was beyond rude and told me that they wouldn’t do anything for me. They weren’t going to help.
