9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room I was in was very nice clean and tidy guest house and very friendly staff. Anything you ask for you got. More than helpful. The breakfast was excellent and it’s a lovely bar down stairs. I had a good evening meal. And good craic in the bar with lively music. Would highly recommend this O’Gradys guesthouse only 20 minutes from the city

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spacious , clean well appointed parking over the road ( free at week ends)
Cons: Given the original building there was nothing to be improved , eg steep stair ..which we were warned about. The three bedroom flat had only been refurbished hours be fore we arrived so they could be forgiven for not having a hair dryer or coat hangers

Pros: Lovely little place and great value for money. Communication before arrival was fantastic, including arrival instructions. Heather made sure I had everything I needed, dropped me at the station on departure day, organised a bike for me to rent and lots more; Train station walkable distance; shops and pub also.
Cons: As advertised, note the shared bathroom. But wasn't any issue as I mostly had it for myself and it was always clean & accessible. Advice: If you want your own bathroom there's also the possibility of renting the annex with ensuite!

Pros: Very good value for money. I booked the room for 3 nights for ony 99. I was welcomed by a very nice woman who happens to be the host. She introduced me to everything there. The kitchen was well stocked. and the bed was comfortable. The most striking feature was the cleanliness. I actually felt guilty when I accidentally spilled some drops of water on the carpet. I was provided by a new set of slippers and the facilities were excellent. It was an amazing experience all in all. I will definitely come to this place again when I visit london next.

Pros: Location of the property is convenient despite the need for National Rail, for it is about 35 minutes away from London Bridge and Charing Cross. Furthermore, the room was really clean and coffee/tea and bottled water were readily available - extremely important for a solo traveller! What set this accommodation apart was the fantastic host; Jing was extremely flexible, even with my late check-ins and was a very lovely and welcoming host. It will be amongst my first picks on my return(s) to London! 谢谢:)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Silence. Having come from central London, being able to sleep is like being in heaven. The hosts are nice and very discrete. I also had to go to London Bridge every day so taking the train was simple and fast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess is very friendly. She greeted us nicely and gave us a lot of advice on travelling. The guidebook prepared by the hostess is very informative and helped us so much in our self-guided tour in London. The hostess came to look after the hotel room and provided the daily necessities incl. breakfast items, mineral water and so on, which made us feel warmly welcome and nicely taken care of. We enjoyed our stay here. It is an unforgettable experience. Many thanks.
Cons: Everything is perfect.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, place is located close (less than 10 minutes walking) to Abbey Wood train station, it takes around 30 minutes to London Bridge station (or other stations in central London), very importantly - it is within zone 4 of London public transportation so if you use capping correctly (either Oyster card or contactless) maximum cost of all trains/buses/underground you take during a day is 10,10 GBP. Place itself is good, we could use the fridge, plates, bathroom is good, also big store on the way to train station

Cons: nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The fact I could prepare breakfast.

Yha London Lee Valley - Hostel - Waltham Cross - Building

Overview Reviews
Located in Waltham Cross, YHA London Lee Valley - Hostel is within a 15-minute drive of Paradise Wildlife Park and Epping Forest. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: The surrounded are of this hostel, which on one side there is Lee Valley Park, while on the other side there is the villages with all the necessaries and elements. The Lee Valley Park is very interesting and worth to visit, there is also another park nearby. The village on the other side, behind the train station and rail tracks, has everything that visitors may need to purchase, including pubs and bars, not less a larg-size supermarket that can be reached by less than 20minutes walk. This hostel has a very nice refurbished reception area, highly recommended to spend evey little time in this area, even just to relax or to use your computer, it has a very nice ambient where people can enjoy or relax.
Cons: The shared kitchen has limited utensils, so we had to borrow the required utensils from the main kitchen by asking at the reception, also, there were only two small electric ovens to be used by the residents of the lodge. Also, there is only one (1) shower and one (1) toilet eight (8) persons which are not enough especially at peak times where everyone will require to use these facilities. Both the toilet and shower are old fashioned not refurbished like other YHA hostels. When arriving at the train station, do not go to the village, but cross the rail tracks to go to this hostel; unfortunately, there is no any signage or directions where is this hostel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet and safe location, fantastically priced and really handy for visiting North and Central London, via Cheshunt Rail Station.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. The location was ideal as we were travelling into London.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location with free parking. 24/7 reception. Value for money.
Cons: A little tear and wear in the rooms. No free towels.
7.1 Good
Pros: Parking and park outside YHA
Cons: Unable to open balcony doors (30 degree summer day), extremely noisy system blowing air (ambient temperature) into the room. Shower in rooms only meaning each time other room mates take shower you being very aware of it, toilets in room-same problem, however there were toilets available outside of the room. Also main entry door when self closing would shake the whole building, you could hear and feel it even on first floor. I saw young family checking downstairs next to the door, feel sorry for them. Great parking and park outside. I've been to YHA in different locations but I would never stay here again because of the door / ventilation system / shower & toilet set up.
7.9 Good
Pros: Comfort
Cons: Multiple beds in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place most staff were great will definitely be back
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice, quiet location.
Cons: No chair for the table in my room. Floors had some dust and bits on it. No bathroom mat for when you come out of the shower. No Wi-Fi in the room, only in the reception area.
7.5 Good
Pros: A nice, semi-rural location. Within walkable distance of pubs and restaurants but nice and quiet with plenty of parking space. Dorm "chalets" were spacious and self-contained and it was pretty well signposted, which made life easier.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was what we were looking for all clean and tidy
Cons: Pillows not to my liking so didn’t sleep too well to soft would be better to have two different types of pillows one soft and one firm
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location, event being held at the hotel. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Was checked into the wrong room, so when we entered the room someones clothes etc where in the room. Had to go back down and ask for correct room and keys ! Rooms are dated, having the toilet opposite the main room door , not great when one of you is using the bath room and comes in from the corridor. Breakfast was expensive at £16,95 each, wasnt great value for money !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious and have a luxurious feel. Room size is similar to hotels you get in the USA. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Cons: Although the bathroom was spotlessly clean, the decor was a bit tired and dated. Also the parking charges sign in the car park is confusing for guests staying overnight - Don’t put any money in the machine always enter your registration at reception. It is is still £4 per night, though it is at the discretion of the hotel whether they charge you or not! Wi-fi - guest log on screen needs updating. It is free, though the screens still have the charge showing as £10 per day.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean.
Cons: The rooms were quite dated, the Bathroom in particular, and there was no pool facility that you get with most Marriott hotels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Well presented public areas. Big, comfy bed. We had a garden room so traffic noise was light and we were well away from the busy function rooms so we had a peaceful night. Had a sandwich at lunchtime that was big and excellent value for money.
Cons: Some of the breakfast buffet wasn't as hot as it should be.

Cons: Food is very average in restaurant. Room service menu is tastier with more choice.
7.7 Good
Pros: Sam the waiter in the restaurant was (and has always been) an absolute credit to this hotel - he is attentive, courteous and should be rewarded in some way for his excellent work - other guest at check-out commented on this to the staff at reception also.
Cons: The fact that the rate was not right on checking in and they had problems finding second reservation - also a bottle of wine was put on our room and service charged even though we did not have it (the slip was not signed for anyway) but this was taken off again when questioned.

Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and the extensive breakfast was included in the booking
Cons: 3pm seems quite late to check in, but we were able to check in an hour earlier

Cons: See above
7.9 Good
Pros: The bed was really comfortable and the facilities were great.
Cons: The bathroom wasn't very clean
4.2 Okay
Pros: None.
Cons: Too noise at night. It's like a shared house. Some other residents were drunk and smelling cigarettes or other stuff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and tidy. It smelt fresh. Facilities were good - everything you could need. Bed firmer than I am used to but still comfortable. Had a bit of a tussel with key safe for the key to get in then bedroom door key pad but I'm not used to dealing with these and the owner/manager did offer to come and help but with his telephone assistance all went well. Very helpful. Very pleasant stay.
Cons: The shower room had a tiny basin with glass shelf over which made cleaning my teeth a bit difficult without getting toothpaste and water over the floor. It was difficult to lean over the basin as the shelf was in the way. Perhaps a shelf to the side would work?

Pros: Does what it says on the tin.
Cons: No washing facilities for clothes
7.9 Good
Pros: The room was a good size, had the essentials and it was clean!
Cons: The bathroom was tiny.

Pros: The information available before booking was accurate. Entrance arrangements were well explained. Comfy bed. I had a room at the back and it was quiet. Wifi was OK.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Room and toilet clean All staff generally very kind
Cons: - had to wait for memeber of staff to check me in after half an hour since no one was in reception. Was in filthy corridor since 11pm-9am since locking myself outside. Trouble communicating with any members of staff to give 6 digit code to get me back into room with all my stuff.

Cons: The night of my stay the restaurant was closed for some reason, if I had known this I would not have booked this hotel. I was told the bar menu had been extended but it had not only 3 main dishes, veggie burger, beef burger and fish and chips. I had had a very long day and was really looking forward to a good meal, I had the beef burger which was only just average. The hotel was cold and a draft whipped through the bar area. This was possibly the worst hotel stay I have had. I work away a great deal and I am not really a fussy person, talking to the other guest's I think the feeling was mutual.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location
Cons: That I had to leave
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The people where great
Cons: Breakfast
7.1 Good
Pros: Close to our friends that we were visiting
Cons: It was a bit tired and dirty in areas
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff where Fab, lovely grounds and building
Cons: The new minimal rooms need to be at minimal price, no tea coffee, tv, hair dryer etc just a bed.....which is alot of money for just a bed.. .
6.0 Good
Pros: The grounds were beautiful - quiet and restful location. Nice large rooms. The beds were nice and large and very comfortable. Tea and coffee machines in te reception area, although the biscuits in a jar were not individually wrapped so the hygiene aspect was lacking - biscuits were repeatedly touched by many hands.
Cons: The rooms were very bare as though they had not completed the interior design of the room. There was no television. Not nearly enough lighting in the room - unable to read due to poor lighting. There was no wardrobe space - just a small rail. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. The mirror was leaning against the wall, not hung.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location near to relatives. Outside of building and gardens
Cons: Drain pump on plumbing. Noisy and did not completely drain bath or WC without stopping. Room tired; lumpy carpet. Difficult to reach taps due to fixed shower screen.
6.0 Good
Pros: Very nice and helpful employees. Access to a gym and relaxing surroundings. I like getting my invoice emailed without having to check out when I leave.
Cons: The food in general is consistently unappealing, particularly breakfast and evening meal options are limited and lack variety.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: Room was dirty, vent was full of dust, shower was full on live ants!! As soon as someone walks passed the door it’s loud enough to wake you up.. I stayed in the Ridings, I would not recommend this if you’re looking for a good nights sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and grounds, breakfast was quality too
Cons: Room was a touch cold, no tv in the room

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I was paid for parking and I was charged for 60 pounds by another company I had my invoice I sent it to them they told me it too later I had to pay. Which is very bad for me
1.0 Poor
Pros: Good location
Cons: Staff were extremely unhelpful & the heating was absolutely rubbish. Literally had to wrap up in own clothes under duvet. No choice to cancel. Staff told us to return for checking at 2pm (this was around 1pm) as early check in is £10. We decided we would stay at a friend’s instead and they didn’t inform that we only had till 2pm to cancel the booking without being charged. Felt like being forced to stay where we didn’t want to anymore as cancellation costs £129 and the booking was £178 - just extortionate!! Never booking Ibis again!!
7.5 Good
Pros: In the right place for us, well equipped, and comfortable. Good price for London, easy to get to from M11/ north circular, secure gated parking.
Cons: It was good the bar/restaurant was open at 8.45 pm but the decor and atmosphere were lacking - too bright and clinical - so we went out.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I actually booked a different hotel/B&B initially and it was so terrible I changed to this holiday Inn express late at night and it was lovely, the staff were brilliant and very concerned about my comfort and the fact I was travelling on my own. Breakfast was great and when I asked for gluten free toast they told me they had a seperate toaster and brought it too me which was excellent. Really impressed by the service, cleanliness and stay and would definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Yes, croissants were excellent. Good variety for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
7.5 Good
Pros: Basic & Simple. It is a Holiday Inn Express, nothing more and nothing less! It was sufficient for what we needed. It was clean and serviceable. Pleasant staff and a nice environment.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfy beds, good showers. Gluten free cornflakes and gluten-free instant porridge flakes available (though only hot water to add to the porridge, with no hot milk available).
Cons: Was not clear on the booking that parking would incur an extra charge (£5 per 24 hours). Gluten free bread available, but the staff would not toast this for us so it was very dry. The baked beans were also not gluten free. It would be really helpful to label all the breakfast items with allergens.

Premier Inn London Barking - Barking - Building

8.1 Excellent (348 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Positioned alongside the A406 north circular, transport into east London from here is easy. For central London (40 minutes by tube) Barking station is just a 10 minute walk. Our Barking Premier Inn is well located for London ExCel Exhibition Centre and the O2 Arena. Our Barking Premier Inn has everything you'd expect, incredibly comfy beds in every room, free parking and an integrated restaurant serving a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, usual comfortable Premier Inn beds, plenty of parking, air-conditioning, nice bath.
Cons: Parking was £5/night extra which I didn't spot anywhere during booking. The walk to the shops involved going down a "muggers/druggies alley" behind the hotel - had to come through small gang of lads smoking weed on way back to hotel. Road noise was pretty constant so had to close window (and switch on air-conditioning) in order to sleep.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Restaurant only open at certain times so If you have a planned evening that means you have to leave to be at your function early then you cannot have a meal, you have to buy either snacks or leave even earlier to eat at another diner. No towels in room on arrival, no phone in room. Reception stated only a 10min walk to Barking Tube station but was approximately 60mins by foot, we had a taxi in the end as walking was too far when carrying luggage.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed is very comfy.
Cons: Nothing

6.3 Good
Pros: Knew what to expect as hotel is pretty standardised nationally Free WiFi Nice bed Breakfast offer was good Evening meal well presented with friendly staff
Cons: The sofa in our room was stained at rhe bottom The chair in our room had a stain on the pad There was no safe The chairs in the bar seemed to have similar stains to the one in our room on the seat pads No bath mat - we asked but none were available and we were offered a hand towel
7.1 Good
Cons: Asking for ID when giving cash payments
7.1 Good
Pros: The beds were comfy and having aircon was a real benefit. The room was spacious clean and what I expected from a Premier Inn.
Cons: The hallways were really hot and there were building works going on in the property when I got there, that I didn't know about before arriving. The impact of these was the lift was not working and the carpets where partially covered, meaning the hall didn't look so nice.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Good location to the station and easy access to London and Essex!
Cons: Not a lot!

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Let's be clear : nothing, except the easy parking.
Cons: Cleanliness - there was none at all, almost everything in the room was old, damaged, needing to be fixes or changed... No hot shower - needed to be fixed, and with a big SECURITY issue : ground wire disconnected of thé electrical warming system/boiler. Dirty garden, with old rubbish already seen there 3 years ago ! Almost everything is neglected, from the floor to the walls and the curtains. Vert sad.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely breakfast, helpful staff
Cons: Room clean but needs refurb, shared bathrooms again clean but very old and worn
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very good price; £70 for 2 nights including breakfast. Location with excellent link to the city all shops, banks, restaurants, and amenities close by
Cons: The room was decent size, clean and had a small fridge and washbasin, very convenient. For me personally I would hoped for a small desk or table to be able to use my tablet or laptop more comfortably. The shared bathroom was of good size and sufficiently clean. Bonus breakfast with the stay which was unexpensive for the location. The latter although outside central london (Zone4) has excellent transport links to the city. The hotel is in the heart of Ilford with all of shopping, restaurant, banks and all other amenities close by.
