OK for price, if you are just staying to sleep it's fine. The breakfast bar was nice. Pool broke down for a couple days and overall was quite dirty. The cleanliness of the hotel room seemed ok regarding the beds, but the sofa chair was filthy and floors looked it too. I suggest they steam clean the floors and sofa chair every once in awhile and clean out their pools (looked much cleaner in the pictures). Getting into the hotel was the biggest pain in the a**.
The hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast bar was great, with made to order omellete. Would stay again!'
Staff were all quite professional and helpful. We were looking for a church for services and thought it odd that no phone books nor list of guest services (which usually includes places of worship) existed on site. Also difficult to locate a restaurant. Excellent breakfast!
Very clean rooms; helpful friendly staff who even found us a really good place to eat dinner.Computer in lobby so I could print flight boarding passes. Great continental breakfast with hot side dishes. Pet friendly. Wish we could have brought our dog too. Overall a pleasant 3 night stay.Would definitely stay again!
Reservation made for 2 rooms. Hotel wasn't able to have have rooms on same floor. Staff using free computer in lobby, when this is suppose to be for guests. Very clean, large rooms, good food.
Reservation was for 2 rooms, hotel unable provide 2 rooms on same floor. Checked in was at 3:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. Staff using free computer in lobby meant for guests. Hotel very clean, great beds, good food. Would stay here again.
Clean, new, located in a good area. Not much noise but easy access to the interstate. Limited breakfast items free with additional items available for purchase. Nice size room.
Clean and Pet Friendly! Wish there were more like this one in other states!!!
My daughters and I stayed for two nights in the hotel. There were no issues at all re: noise, cleanliness, or privacy. It was a beautiful hotel and the staff was courteous and patient. I highly recommend a stay here!
The room is wonderful, the decor is very nice and the lobby is outstanding. I am using the hotel as an office-on-the-road, however, and I need to be able to access the internet. I hate the feel of people looking over my shoulder, so the public computer room isn't really an option. Their webpage states that there is complimentary high speed wireless and DSL, with computer ports available in every room. That, by the way, is incorrect and they need to update their website. The wireless signal is so bad it's useless. Five minutes for a page load? Ridiculous. After a great deal of searching I found a port on each of the two phones, so I hooked up my cat5 cable. Didn't work. No DSL available, no computer port. Thanks Hyatt!
Stayed here on our drive home to Ct from Orlando, Fl. Loved the room. Very clean and the beds were super comfy. However the free breakfast offered did not match the quality of the room.
I held a Girlfriends Retreat here May 2006 and Family Reunion August 2005. Both groups were very pleased with the room rate, manager, staff and accomodations. Breakfast was great. The conference room capacity was exactly what we needed. I WILL be coming back again.
Beware of Parking. Was charged $27 for parking. You can park on the street for free
Check in fast Common areas shabby and not comfortable, lady's room not clean
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great shuttle service around town so I did not have to worry about parking while on a tight schedule.
Desk staff were very friendly. View from upper floors is nice.
Good position Found the room tatty, black wallpaper under sink, hairdryer fallen off wall, whole place needed up dating
Extremely professional and welcoming staff Really nothing
I got an upper-floor room and the river view was top notch. The staff were courteous and helpful. It was walking distance to the restaurants in Shockoe Slip. The towel in the shower was dirty - as in, big black streak across it as if it were used while working on your car, and the streak was on the front-facing side of the towel on the rack. I haven't seen that in all my travels before. The other towels in the room were fine but that one was a negative surprise. The room itself was only okay and quite outdated. The parking garage was very tight, hard on two-way traffic, crowded so you had to go up and up to find a spot, and expensive.
Nothing this time. Even with Platinum status, I did not get a high floor as requested. The floor lobby was noisy past midnight every night. A couple was given keys to a room occupied by another couple on my floor - that created drama in the middle of the night. There was cockroach in my bathroom. The HVAC made noise when running.
The location was amazing. The ice machine on our floor didn't work, but it did on others.
Nice room, great price , good location. Staff is great.
It was beautiful.
Pool was closed
The pool! Our kids really enjoyed it.
Friendly staff. Location. Below parking. Starbucks. Rooms. TV size. Rooms!
Had what we needed to rest for the night and the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and friendly Could not take advantage of the breakfast because we had to leave so early
The warm, friendly staff made the experience for us. Accommodating and genuine! The breakfast value and selection was terrific. We liked how easy it was to hop off and on 95. The room was older, spring mattress was stiff, no remote control and the TV didn't work.
Descent hotel for reasonable rate The fact that they advertise breakfast included, but it's only for 1 day of your entire stay
Price. Twenty dollar voucher for breakfast in attached restaurant. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning did not work correctly. Numerous stains on the carpet and table top. Wall protector for door handle was smashed into wall and broken.
Staff was super friendly, and the bed was great after the our drive.
The room was ok, breakfast was nice. We booked this before going on a road trip because of its proximity to I-95 and because they were listed as Pet Friendly. When we got there we were told that there would be an additional fee of $50 and that they were no longer pet friendly.
A pleasant experience. Will definitely return on return trip.
Location was great. Staff was responsive to an issue we had. Beautiful lobby and restaurant. Room just the right size unlike other boutique hotels. Parking is too expensive. Housekeeping was a little too anxious to clean the room.
The hotel was nicely maintained and clean with very nice rooms. The location was great and walkable to many restaurants and shops. I was disappointed when they confirmed my request for a small refrigerator via text message but once I got there couldn't find it in my room. I called the front text who notified me that there are no rooms with refrigerators but they could refrigerate things for me for 31$/day. NO thanks because I was also surprised by the 21$/day for parking.
Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and quiet. Lighting in the room was not bright enough; at least one mirror should be available in the room, outside of the bathroom; headboard was not attached firmly so it banged against the wall with any movement(had to wedge a towel between it and the wall).
The staff was friendly and professional. The rooms spacious. The beds were to die for! By far the best rest I've had in some time. I would definitely return when in Richmond again.
Quaint and location was great! Staff was fantastic! Every one of them during our stay-- from the valet to housekeeping. The noise from the street and the bed mattress seems to be old.
Alfreda and Lilly were absolutely wonderful at the front desk!
Elegant clubby atmosphere. Well appointed room and comfy bed. Plumbing made noise during the night.
Room / Hotel staff overall was clean and hospitable I didn't like the fact that we were stuck in a room in the back facing a wall. I will probably go back to the Omni or try the Renaissance Hotel next time in Richmond. At least there you're not looking at brick walls. I parked on the street couple blocks up due to over priced valet......it simply isn't needed with the parking garages around.
The staff was extremely helpful and willing to support with all our needs! Great location in downtown Richmond. Walking distance to great resturants and bars.
-Great location -Beautiful hotel -Very friendly and helpful staff -Pizza deliveries right to room door -Menu was not as expanded as I thought it would be -Reserved room w/ balcony. To our major disappointment, our balcony had a 5 1/2 foot wall that was not noted in advertisement - major let down.
Clean. Great location! Comfortable bed. Broken coffee maker. No biggie, Starbucks is across the street.
location, friendliness of staff unfortunately a lot: The sink was stopped up, there was hair on the counter and dust all over the mirror. The floor of the shower looked horrible, grimy and was very slippery. The AC had no balance, it was either too cold, too hot or very loud.

Great hotel, good location, quiet
it was clean and fine Breakfast on weekends is at 0700..rather than 0600
Customer service was great the young lady did a great job All was well
Room was well appointed with comfortable bedding. Although they charge a $75 additional fee for pets, the carpet was very dirty with damp places presumably from previous pets. They did not come in to clean the room after our first night's stay. No fresh towels, cups, coffee, etc.
The room was clean Water was not not that hot in the shower
They did not clean my room or change my towels. It was terrible. I will never stay again. Overall I liked it service sucks
Room was clean and the service was ki d, curtesy, and helpful. The lack of a firm pillow.
Pet friendly Charge card for possible room incidentals before you have any first hotel I had do su h a thing.y
Very clean All was good
Convenient location for our travel, comfortable bed, good breakfast. The AC unit smelled like dirty socks and needs cleaning.
When I got there I waited a long time to get my room the tv didn't work the Internet didn't work i had to shave rooms I have stayed in comfort inns before and they were always good this one was old and not nice
a nice American owned hotel, outdoor pool, play area for kids and a camping area for RV's. The grounds were well kept.
Location Very poor house keeping, looked like same linens used every day. Door to room was found unsecured on 2 occasions. And appeared that someone may have been in the bed while I was out. Very poor hotel
The breakfast with the lovely lady working there She is very friendly she Has a very good attitude we can see she love her job For the room they have to change the furnitures and the carpet
Location Filthy pool. Couldn't see the bottom of pool the water was nasty. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.
It was clean and had a good breakfast. The bed was comfortable. Hotel is in need of a facelift. Furnishings and decor are dated. The hotel gives the impression of being a bit tired even though it is well maintained.

Easy on, easy off I-95
hotel was very clean, staff was nice and friendly and the location was nice.
Nice, clean rooms with a great pool and free breakfast. Good value for the price! Not really!

MY ROOM WAS NEXT TO AN ELEVATOR AND NEXT TO AN ENTRANCE. SINK DID NOT EMPTY. BED TILTED. SUB PAR ROOM.
Very nice and clean None

Location was great - Phone did not work in room, handicap room was at end of long hallway, shower was leaking into closet and vanity area.
The front desk staff were awesome! That I had to leave.. lol
Whenever we travel from NYC with our 2 little kids and grand parents, we stay over in this hotel. We select the double room with living room and kitchen. Not to cook, but to have enough space. We realize this is a hotel and it is not the comfort of our home. The aircondioner is noisy at night, since it turns on and out frequently, but at least it is cool inside. The pool is not clear. Our kids, who love to swim, cannot look under water, even with goggles. Management should make this pool water much clearer. Breakfast is free and simple., but sometime svery busy. Service is excellent. Several restaurants nearby. We like it here and will be coming back often.
comfortable Hot tub cleaning
Jefferson staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful!
Staff was accommodating, put the flower in the room I asked for. Upgraded us to a better room after checking in, was attentive with needs for ice and deliveries Pool wasn't open, it was easy to get lost and enter the construction areas of the hotel. We couldn't get into teatime which was frustrating
Friendly atmosphere The price
We stayed only 1 night downtown.....but it was wonderful. Valet parking was quick and courteous. Front desk employees were friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was a wonderful bonus since there is so much to do in Richmond. The room was clean and tastefully decorated and the bar and restaurant were also wonderful , clean, and the staff courteous. Would definitely stay again.
Enjoyed that the building was a urban refurbish. Every staff person went beyond what I expected regarding service. Our room was made available early in the day to meet our schedule. Very prompt transportation service. Would have been nice to have a more upscale restaurant in the hotel, but the large bar area and regar dining area were great for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
clean and nice the heater made way to much noise. hard to sleep.
The location to downtown Richmond is excellent with many restaurants nearby. Wish there was a schuttle to the airport which is only 15 minutes away.
beeing very close to vcu being in the downtown
parking is not included, valet parking rated @ $ 23 per day. For those on personal trips: Across the street, public parking is available at $8-$18 per day, depends on timing.
Easy check-in, adjustable beds, free coffee, close to the Richmond Coliseum, free shuttle Valet took way too long--both days seemed to lack enough employees. We had to wait in a long line for 20+ minutes during both check-in and check-out.
Price, and location specific to event I was attending. Very inflexible and relatively early check out time 11am only negative but well offset by price and location.
Never disappoints with convenience, location, charm. Had a different room this time, garden suite, and liked it. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, no noise issues. Lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim, but otherwise great.
Close to many Civil War Museums. Edgar Allen Poe lived across the street. Was a frequent visitor. Breakfast area was unattended. Trash piled up in can. However, I would stay again and recommend to others.
Location made it easy to walk to nearby attractions, restaurants and bars. Old town feel and culturally diverse area. Felt safe with strong police presence. Not a downside really, but no easy way to carry luggage to room. Uneven walks and paths for us that like our rolling luggage. You get what expect from a hotel built in the 1800's. Neat place. Rooms are dingy.
The decor and facilities were charming and attractive. The staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were good. The only downside was parking, which was basically impossible to find without paying for valet parking.
Room was excellent but had no mini fridge. Only window in the room was painted shut.
It was comfortable . the staff was super & pleasant enjoyed my stay No place to park
We were originally placed in a ground floor room (after requesting a room on a higher floor), which was dark and had a window into the hallway corridor. It felt as if you were in a dungeon. After our first night (of a two night stay) we discovered two bedbugs in our bed. We immediately notified the front desk which kindly agreed to change our room. Although the second room we were placed in was much nicer and on the top floor of the hotel, our stay was less than comfortable given the fact that it was difficult to sleep when imagining bedbugs crawling in bed with you. The hotel staff did not offer to compensate us in anyway for our troubles other than a gift mug. Although the hotel was booked for the weekend and we had heard good things about it, I would strongly recommended finding somewhere else to stay if visiting Richmond.
In room refrigerator made an awful noise, had to unplug
location price, old.
The carriage house rooms that are disconnected from main Inn is where I stayed and it was lovely. The room was clean, the bathroom newly remodeled, the Queen bed soft and inviting. I had to leave before the included breakfast but I liked everything I saw. The area was near downtown but still a bit sketchy. I started walking to find a cafe or restaurant but then thought better of and turned around. The parking was valet for an extra $12 or street parking but if you parked on the street (if you found any) you would get towed if you didn't move by 7am or 8am.
Wonderful venue. Very historic. Staff was very helpful checking our luggage for the day. No self parking
staff and cleanliness (guest reception desk and breakfast personnel were very friendly)
Location and Pet friendly. The carpet was stained, furnishings need upgrade.
We stay here often and fell at home - great breakfast! No
Pet friendly (for a fee) and nice staff. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. No
Swimming pool and basketball court for the kids. Appeared to be a leak under floor as carpets were soaking in first room and then again when we were moved. Tried to speak to staff; they did not seem to react. Breakfast was extremely understaffed and under supplied with a long wait for cups, bowls, food.
The facility was in a beautiful clean neighborhood that offered an array of local restaurants, fast food joints and gas gas stations yards away. The hotel rooms as well as the surrounding structure was beautiful and clean. NOT AT ALL!!
The room was spacious, with every amenity we could have asked for. The breakfast buffet was not well staffed for the number of people eating.
The staff was excellent! Welcoming, smiling, informative...everything was great.
It had a very nice modern feel and had a great free breakfast!very clean and comfortable!
Close to everything without being right on main road
Liked having the kitchen and suite Nothing
This was my favorite I have ever stayed at. Tara at the front desk was great, she made us feel welcome the second we walked in the door. The room was spacious, clean, and had all that we needed.
The location and air conditioning The hallways where hot. But it was over 100 degrees when I stayed there. Elevator was hard to work.
Choose hotel because of it's close proximity to downtown Richmond Check in was great I believe his name was Edward very friendly. It is a hotel, but I was given a room on the first floor which was the feel of a motel I did not like that at all very noisy. I just didn't get a comfortable feeling. The room itself was ok at best felt shabby stained carpet, stained chair bathtub drain wouldn't stay open. I suggest paying extra for a nicer hotel or paying less for a motel because that what it feels like no different. I paid $90 for which I could of paid $50. for a motel. Hotel is close to downtown but not close to anything would not stay here again.
Experienced female traveler. This hotel creeped me out despite the 3 star rating. I arrived after dark (5:30pm in Jan). It's in a neighborhood I wouldn't feel safe walking alone in. The up lights on the building are purple and the parking structure isn't lit. The exterior doors do not require a key card to enter. The room was clean but run down. Door frames detached from the wall, touch up paint not in the same sheen, shower fixtures loose and leaking.
It was cleanish. The linens were clean and the room was very large. I also had a balcony overlooking the pool. There was something that looked like a smear on the wall from someone smashing a mosquito. It was right behind a hanging towel so you know whoever cleaned the room saw it and was like, meh. There was a lot of wind that night and I could hear it howling all night! The door to the balcony was not completely sealed which is probably why I could hear the noise. If I were trying to sleep in the next morning and kids were at that pool, I probably would have heard all of that too!
spacious room with fridge , and microwave.
Location Bathroom was a bit run down & dirty
The staff at the front desk! Check in time is 3:00 but they happily accommodated my wife and I with a room at 1:30. They didn't have to do that. It made the entire stay that much more enjoyable because of it. We needed to check in and get changed for a 2:30 engagement. Your hospitality just set the mood for the whole weekend! Thanks! Can't say I had any complaints.
Breakfast was included at this Clarion. Room was large and didn't feel cramped. There was a sofa. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Fitness room was adequate. Location was convenient. Bathroom light and fan were one switch. Couldn't just turn on the light alone. Fan was loud. First morning, housekeeping didn't come. I had difficulty with the WiFi at times.
Non-smoking room smelled like imbedded smoke. The air quality in the room was terrible. Felt like a dirty motel. Will not stay again.
Nothing. Run down, seemed like a transient housing facility. The ad on Kayak was completely opposite of what is there. Definitely not worth the $100.
Large bed -condom wrapper on hotel room floor behind night stand -ice cream left in freezer by previous occupant and not cleaned out -opened beer left in fridge by previous occupant and not cleaned out (Have pictures of)
Very quiet A lot close by
Clean and comfortable! Nothing smelled or looked dirty. The free breakfast included eggs, bacon and waffles, which was unexpectedly nice. Wish the blackout curtains could pull shut, but only the sheer curtains went all the way across the window. We had an infant, so extra darkness would have been nice.
It was clean overall and the room was spacious. Good location. The radiator was very loud and seemed to come on about every 20 min. My mom said the same thing about her room (before I even mentioned it). Also the wifi signal in our room was weak and often I had trouble staying connected.
Great location, clean, higher end finishings, friendly staff. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.
Close to meeting location. Construction in area...noisy
Everything was great! I could here the guest using the restroom upstairs.
Almost everything.. I asked for a copy of my billing and was told that I had made the booking online so no copy.I was reading the information in my room and it mentioned the possibility of having swim wear available when I asked at the desk the girl was lost or should I say clueless as to what I was talking about.
Guarenteed stay - no need call if you're checking in late, black out curtains, hot breakfast included until 10 a.m. with a great pastry/waffle & beverage selection. ADA compliant bathroom door swung in crowding what would have been an otherwise large bathroom, the eggs were bland & there was no hot sauce or cheese to make them more palatable, the bacon was oddly excessively smoke flavored.
Employees were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and nice. Location was good for us. Hotel was quiet. Room was a bit small. For 2 people was fine. For 4 may be a little cramped.
Breakfast yogurt bar was exceptional (fresh fruit, granola, coconut, etc). It was awesome! Bed was sooooooo comfortable and price was good. Awesome location and friendly staff. No complaints. Room was spotless and in wonderful condition. I did't get to use the outdoor pool while I was there.
Excellent airport location and friendly staff. Hot breakfast, comfy & spacious rooms, nothing but good things to say! The shuttle drivers were wonderful, the front desk staff was helpful and kind.
The most important thing is that MY WIFE LIKED IT. Very nice and clean room. Nothing smelled funny like other hole-in -the-wall places. She would let me take her there again. It was very close to the airport with shuttle service and there are a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. For 74 bucks i'd go back again anytime.
I stay in this hotel when I have a very early morning flight (I live an hour from Richmond). The hotel is older, but well maintained and updated. The room has a refrigerator and plenty of outlets for laptops and phones. There is an exercise room and the breakfast layout was extensive. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Convenience of location. Hotel staff was friendly The fire alarm went off on Saturday morning for like 20 mins. The bed sheets had stains. The room was not vaccummed throughly.
Friendly staff, location Room reeking of smoke and mold, dirty carpets, uncomfortable bed, dirty furniture.
We stayat the Richmond Westin a few times a year. Always great staff, always comfortable beds, always super clean and welcoming. Great food...love the starbucks coffee in the lobby . Just a perfect Westin!
My stay was very relaxing and comfortable. My toilet would not flush completely. I made the hotel aware at check- out and they just apologized. Ly
The Hotel was clean, the staff friendly. Nice workout room and pool. The hotel was great. Booking.com/ Price line, not so great. I made a registration through them and it was obviously acknowledged hence the questionnaire I am filling out. They did not however send a conformation email and when I arrived at the Hotel they had no record of my booking. Fortunately they had a room available and were very accommodating.
The Westin is nice, clean and I like the location. A bit pricey for what we got. Staff was super nice. Our room was directly under the Executive Club and noisy as hell. We were kept awake too late and awoken before 6am the next day. Ugh.
Room- clean, very comfortable, nice bathroom Staff- professional, efficient, very nice Amenities- free parking, free wi-fi, executive club lounge with continental breakfast and complimentary drinks/snacks throughout day Location- area around hotel isn't bad, just a bit far from downtown Richmond
Location I wish breakfast was included
We are fans of Marriott and the location was ideal Yes, the manager who checked us in does not like Priceline and told us in no few words I should never use you.
nothing made me feel like a 2nd (no make that third class) customer. The price-line ROOM was in the basement. next to the fitness room...there were only approx 5-6 rooms on that level.
The bed was very comfortable.
The staff was great - from the very kind woman who checked us in and took the initiative to switch our family of four from a king sized bed to two queens (I forgot to call), to the friendly housekeeper who greeted us in the morning on our way out. I know Courtyards generally don't, but it would've been great to have breakfast included.
The people were extremely friendly No
The space for the room was ideal. The price for 2 nights was good. The room had an odor for some time; the room could use some updates like the sink and air conditioner could be centralized.
Overall I liked most everything about it. I didn't care for the bed. We found it to be too soft. There seemed to be a definite sinking in the middle. I awoke with a backache. It was uncomfortable and we were too tired.
Staff was fantastic, very friendly and accomodating Everything was great
Veryc clean, great location, and well maintained. Staff seemed very snoody at the front desk and as if it was a burden to help us with anything.
Right off the highway was excellent We paid about xxx fir this room and got no sleep because there was construction outside all night long
