Lots of local magazines available to read or browse together with local walking maps, brochures & advice on what/where to go. Really good restaurants/pubs in the area to try for evening meal. So not a problem

Pros: It was perfect for my needs. I had a quiet, comfortable room with a view over the rooftops to the fields beyond. I was glad I could have dinner in the restaurant and both dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Cons: It was good having fresh milk in the room for tea. Unfortunately, it did not survive a warm night so was not palatable for my early morning cup of tea. Maybe supply some long-life milk as well as a fallback.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great fun accommodation, with everything you need!
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I went for a short break to mark our Golden Wedding. Unfortunately my husband's health is not of the best, altziemers, impaired vision and hearing make life somewhat challenging. The staff at the Norman Knight were fantastic. They made our wedding anniversary the special day exactly as I wished it to be. We arrived to a table in a quite corner of the bar, the prosecco on ice, the cards friends had posted to us on the table ready to be opened. Plus the lovely touch of some fresh flowers in a vase on the table. Down side, when we left everywhere was locked up so all we could do with our keys on the handle of the back door. I so wanted to say thank you properly to them but there was no one there to say it to! Many thanks, Jo & Len Ball
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Although the shepherd huts are small, we were using to sleep in while attending the British Grand Prix and they were perfect for what we required. The pub was in a beautiful tranquil setting, and the food was wonderful
Cons: Nothing really
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Absolutely horrendous - Be warned The Granary is a grotty looking out building attached to the side of the pub surrounded by rubbish, wheelie bins, general odds and sods that were strewn around and a smoking hut. This is not shown in the pictures advertising the property. There certainly isn’t any reference to the steep flight of slippery wooden steps to this out building or any pictures showing the entrance and surrounding areas. There is certainly no mention in the advertising that whilst the pub is open there is loud continual noise from the kitchen, the loading and unloading of the dishwasher and the constant chatter of the waitressing staff. The continual drone of fridge freezer and other kitchen appliances, which are directly beneath this accommodation along with the noisy air con unit also under the stairs, people using the smoking shelter which can be heard loudly & clearly heard in the room. Following our complaints to Amber & other staff our agreed refund was not forthcoming. The most appalling customer service we have ever come across and misleading representation of accommodation.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Felt it was a bit over priced.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely camping pods great pub, great for a quiet location to escape for a few days peace and quiet

7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the quirkiness...
Cons: Our room was located above the bar, you could hear all what was going on, (thankfully this did end at 11 every night when bar closed) We also had a very strong smell through our bathroom from the kitchen...

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Adorable pub located in idyllic surroundings!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Was charming, quirky, and set in a lovely, sleepy village. The staff were friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Was quite dark in the bar area to eat. Could do with better lighting. We stayed two nights. Used bath towels weren’t replaced with fresh, and we came back after a long day out to find one left on bathroom floor to use again for second day. Would have thought they would have replaced with fresh for the price we paid for the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very pretty and cosy
Cons: Miserable staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely village; newly refurbished rooms, great food.
8.8 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Little touches of luxury eg tea, coffee, shower stuff.

Cons: Happened to be noisy when we stayed, but probably unlucky as music night only once per month.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had dinner there which was excellent, as was the breakfast. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff very friendly. We will definitely stay there again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were fine but took a long time to come sometimes. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Carpets in room needed cleaning. Shower was not clean when we first arrived but OK afterwards. Shower leaked over the floor. Not easy to get luggage to upstairs room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Room abit small.
5.5 Okay
Pros: I like the service by the staff
Cons: The price I paid was too much and the room was not big enough The toilet was very cramped you have to sit side ways not comfortable at all
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location in town centre with plenty of parking spaces. Although located in the town centre it was quiet, with very little traffic noise. Would make a good base from which to explore the Cotswolds, with other places of interest within 30 minutes drive.
Cons: Didn't get chips with the cottage pie and pint meal deal. Thats life.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable rooms. Breakfast choice was good.
Cons: Sharing butter dish and preserves with other guests breakfast! I do not like the idea of having a slab of butter on the toast table for all to use, it’s not hygienic at all. Also jars of jam, marmite for all to dip into is not expectable for me, much prefer individual portions to avoid contamination.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very little
Cons: Outside area used entirely as smoking area. Broken glass not cleared from floor. Room service not completed. Very limited menu for dinner All staff encountered had not enough English.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good food.
Cons: Due to exceptional hot weather air conditioning would have been nice

Surrounded by Cotswolds countryside, in picturesque Bledington, Kings Head Inn offers beautiful bedrooms with free Wi-Fi and parking. Set in a 16th-century building, there is a traditional restaurant and courtyard garden. The rooms at Kings Head have private bathrooms and elegant decor. Some have exposed beams and sloping ceilings, and all feature a TV and cosy seating area. Toiletries and tea/coffee facilities are also provided. The 1-AA-Rosette-awarded restaurant serves contemporary/traditional English food based on fresh, locally-sourced produce. The charming bar boasts original features and open fires, and offers a range of beverages and snacks. Cooked breakfasts are also served daily. Just 25 minutes’ drive from Blenheim Palace, the Kings Head is centrally located for exploring the North Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Both Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon can be reached in 45 minutes’ drive. It is 15 minutes' drive from the A44.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Kings Head Inn is a really nice venue nestling in the tranquility of Bledington. The accommodation of the courtyard rooms was perfect for myself and my wife. Really nicely presented with an outlook over a beautiful courtyard garden including their very own free roaming chickens (Including one particular Cockerel who did make his presence known at various times of the day :)). The included Breakfast was absolutely delicious, plenty of choice and of very high quality. Overall Very Highly recommended.
Cons: The food in the restaurant for an evening meal was a little on the pricier side but it still was a very nice menu. However the Chicken Supreme is not Chicken in a cream sauce as expected it was Chicken on a bed of vegetables. I enjoyed it but sadly my wife's expectations was the cream sauce.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, professional, attentive, down-to-earth staff, and welcoming check-in, with care and attention to detail. Good food - breakfasts, bar food/dining, and overall menu with quality ingredients, well prepared and presented. Nice beers & wines; good areas for sitting out. Busy and thriving. Pretty location, handy for Cotswold villages & towns and local attractions. Comfy rooms, well equipped and full of character. Nice bantams wandering around on the Green outside (and crowing from quite early!).
Cons: Nothing - it's all you'd want from a traditional, thriving, upmarket inn. Maybe the smoker's corner outside at the rear of the bar could be discouraged, especially later in the evening as it's echoey and below some rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Food, wine, beer, pigs in adjacent field.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, pleasant staff, great food.
Cons: More extensive selection of wines by the glass would be good. Noise intrusion Rooms 1-3 by an intermittent (?) pump which continues 24 hrs. Thought it might stop when bar shut but no.....would not book one of these otherwise lovely rooms agaim
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Kings Head in is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The staff are outstanding and can't be more helpful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attentive staff. Right across the board Good selection of wine Great food, quaint restaurant/bar Request for seating for 4 in quiet area accommodated in a very efficient polite manner
Cons: Breakfast time starting at 8am on weekdays would prefer from 7.30 am for the early risers
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Interesting facility. Very old & historic. Well appointed. Very tricky staircase.
Cons: The shower was difficult to get in & out. Need a couple grab bars for customer safety.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: food was amazing ,top rate service , really comfy bed ,room was lovely whole experience was lovely glad we chose it for our anniversary .
Cons: did have a few problems with the menu but helpful waitresses sorted it for us
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Swan is a newly redecorated and absolutely beautiful inn in a small villige and contry setting. Large familiy room, two floors. Very confortable beds and a small living room, that seemed a bit empty and not quite so delightful as the rest. Nice Continental breakfast and Lovely outdoor restaurant room with fantastic flowers - the evening restaurant food could have been nicer though with more vegatables.
Cons: Not so keen on the restaurant menu - everything Else was perfekt and really good value for money
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The croissants were delicious... I found the breakfast area rather too dark but otherwise the decor was lovely as was garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ambiance food quality garden court yard area. Room decor comfort originality quality.
Cons: Nothing it was perfect
5.5 Okay
Pros: Lovely village and rooms were decorated nicely Big beds and fantastic big bath
Cons: There was no heating in our room and we were not informed beforehand about this despite the property knowing we had a newborn baby. We were given another room with no heating and some heaters but the stress of this didn’t make out stay enjoyable. There were numerous things on the evening and breakfast menu that we couldn’t order as they kitchen didn’t have them in. The cottage we stayed in had a lot of cobwebs and the downstairs toilet wasn’t clean when we arrived. It felt the room needed some TLC as there were lots of marks on the walls / stains. I also called ahead to ask about a fridge and received no help at all. My husband had to call back to force the issue.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the rooms are stunning. The bath in our room was also big enough to swim a couple of laps and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Cons: The food in the restaurant is delicious but takes a little time to arrive so best not to order if you are in a rush.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly Bed was very comfortable Attention to detail
Cons: The key to the door was a little bit obnoxious with the giant swan attached to it which made it harder than it should be to open the door but that’s about it
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent standard of food - both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Very helpful and attentive staff. Even with no hot water in the evening and no internet services - both out of the control of the hotel - we would recommend anyone looking for a base in the Cotswolds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, restored with care. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds. Food was delicious, enjoyed every course The staff were brilliant, well informed of each dish, with great attention to detail!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. We took three rooms, all really nice, furnishings good quality (especially curtains!) and tastefully done. Rooms and beds good size and comfy. Food pretty good, pizzas amazing but then we found out it was Italians running the place so ...
Cons: Few problems admittedly, one room too hot, one too cold, one TV didn't work well but overall great. No paper for card machine receipt so ended up spending 15 minutes trying to figure out how to pay but staff v.friendly. Shame it was quiet, this place should be doing better.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our 4 days. Very relaxing and easy going atmosphere.ots to see and do around the region
Cons: No wardrobe in the bedroom.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed and sheets were nice.
Cons: The loo not being in a separate cubicle and just round the corner from the bed is just unacceptable without warning at booking. It's not ok for a couple wanting a romantic stay! The room was also very light, the curtains don't stop the light in the morning or from the street very well. The staff were unhelpful and rude. We arrived at 8.30 to check in and were told the kitchen was closed for dinner despite there being a sign outside saying 'pizza til 9pm'. It was my partners bday which I wrote at booking and we were told to try the coop for dinner. When we checked out we simply got a grunt in acknowledgement. I rarely write reviews but our stay was so disappointing. If I was the owner I would def review the staff there, especially the Italian man.

Pros: In a lovely village, adequate safe parking, room good, breakfast good.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Food 8 out of 10
Cons: Once again we were given an inferior room. Difficult to open door with key. No hot water to the wash basin, a trickle of cold water .Shower to low. Toilet roll holder hanging off the wall.I It took two people to open a window and lock in place. Had to wait for the young lad to finish serving in the bar to check in I think he was running the place on his own most of the time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Georgeous, authentic English Cotswold pub and more (drink, eat, sleep). Super comfy, superior bedroom with lovely king sized bed, great water pressure shower and bath, quiet, friendly and beautiful setting. What a great start to our holiday. Only 25 min drive from Blenheim Palace where we spent 3 hours. Heart of the Cotswolds.
Cons: Offering dinner on Sunday evening would have been a bonus.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we walked through the door, too early to check in, the service we received was exceptional. When we returned in the afternoon, our very heavy bags had been put in the room. The rooms are immaculate, linen and towels luxurious, the bed was super comfortable. Little things like a complimentary bag of toiletries you may have forgotten, make all the difference. The breakfast was a highlight as was our waiter he was fun, friendly yet very professional. We had called a taxi to go the station not realising it was too far to walk. They cancelled our taxi and the owner Mark drove us. I cannot fault this hotel and recommend it and the gorgeous village of Kingham.
Cons: The only disappointmewas booking a Sunday evening when the restaurant is closed.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: No milk in room food a bit minimal and fancy - keep to seasonal delicious but simpler food .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and more friendly than the other pub in the village! Lovely room Lovely food

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good and cleaned place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big room. Although you are near a main road you can’t hear the traffic. We sat out in the garden in the evening. Simple set up but a nice place to sit and contemplate the day.
Cons: It’s quiet a way to the nearest places to eat. We had a nice walk across to Shipton but it’s really a car journey.
6.8 Good
Pros: very beautiful country side
6.8 Good
Cons: The non availability of a proper English breakfast. Turkey - not bacon. Vegetarian sausage - not pork.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was great. Nice outside area to sit.
Cons: The owner (as nice as she was) needs to give the place a really serious clean. The rooms were ok but the inside breakfast area was pretty shocking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked its location. If you want to travel to Stow on the wold, Bourton on the water, Bibury, Castle Combe, Snowshill, Broadway, Chipping Campden etc you won’t care anything. Because it’s clean enough -yes still needs a good renovation- but satisfying
Cons: Insects and spiders. But it’s normal, it’s like a big cottage and in the nature, so seeing these things is normal!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room & pleasant staff
Cons: No bar , no food on the evening, when we booked we were led to believe this was a bar & restaurant facility
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spacious nicely fitted out room . Lots of character. Owner super helpful . When taxi didn’t turn up he even offers to run us himself .

Pros: Ialways enjoy the warm welcome, the lovely location and the great food!
4.8 Okay
Pros: Good price- for the region anyway. hotel was tidy and clean and the room was cosy. food was good and the inclusive breakfast was great and tasty.
Cons: The converted stable room was pleasant enough but very small and draughty and you could hear lots of external noise (people walking by during the night tended to wake you up) the shower was a joke, had to wait ten minutes for the water to turn even vaguely warm, the staff were on the whole friendly but I felt they were maybe overworked because we were kept waiting a fair bit for service.
6.7 Good
Pros: We only stayed the one night and had a evening meal in the inn. I would go again for the food no small portions excellent food and very helpfull staff.
7.0 Good

Pros: Friendly, courteous, food and drink excellent
Cons: Cold room when went in, shower a bit antiquated
7.6 Good
Pros: friendliness of proprieters..good food,rustic charm,animal pets..large bed,attractive gardens.
Cons: bar drink and food prices high but in popular tourist area.certain outdoor furniture need decorating as a matter of urgency.[patio area ] not sure about having memorial plaques of recent family fatality sited at entrance .Questions bound to be asked which must induce sadness to both family and guests.Better redecorate patio as a suitable anniversary memorium.
6.8 Good
Pros: We enjoyed the quiet, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We hope to re-visit next year & will recommend it to others

Pros: The location is great if you are about to explore the Cotswolds... he guy at the reception was very kind and helpful, he answered to all our questions... the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and our room view on a park lovely
Cons: The breakfast is a bit expensive so we didn’t have it.
6.8 Good
Cons: We were all there for a wedding, no air conditioning was far too hot. This certainly needs to be addressed
7.0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was nice and was easy to find. The room was clean as well as the bathroom, with good facilities. The room was spacious.
Cons: Noise travelled quite well, we could hear people's conversation in the corridor very well.. We opted for 2 twin beds, I thought they were slightly narrower than usual.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The views and staff were fantastic
Cons: The amount of wasps around the outside tables and balconies
4.3 Okay
Pros: Didn’t like it the room was not good. Broken balcony , balcony seats. Light bulbs out curtain rails hanging down. Towel rail in bathroom hanging off the wall and the shower riser was loose
Cons: Nothing and we were also opposite a building site where they started work at 7.30 with there diggers and music
5.0 Okay
Pros: Only thing we enjoyed was actualbedroom it was good . Entrance looks like you have taken wrong turn derelict appearance. Excessive noisy building going on from early morning to evening radios , machinery etc , we had no prior warning from booking.com or is it on any information with hotel. No information pack in room or menus , I complained no result .Main restaurant wasn’t available to us as golf tour was staying and they were there , we sat next door in an area lacking any pretension to a four start hotel . Service appalling had to ask for cutlery , condiments etc . Menu was only option available , basic but ok for bar food if that’s what you expect in 4 star Same menu in supposed dining room but attitude was take it or leave it . Breakfast was just ok . In room we expected bottles of water , none even though temperatures were over 30C . My husband complained to general manager on duty on 24/7/19 very poor attitude actually said it wasn’t 4 star . This hotel needs severe staff training and food choices need upgraded. I would never return.
Cons: All of the above Mainly lack of enthusiasm from staff Cleaning staff in rooms were pleasant and cheerful . One member of female staff on 24/7/19 was very pleasant when I spoke to her at 2.30pm but it didn’t resolve anything We checked out and from booking in to leaving no one asked if everything was ok .
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast & food in general was very good. Location of the hotel was good for our visit to the Cotswolds.
Cons: Pots of cream for the coffee was out of date and only one packet of 2 biscuits in the room.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Beautiful part of the country.
Cons: Room wasn't cleaned and it smelled. Staff weren't very helpful at all.

Cons: Parking only 4 places and alternative parking 5mins waking away but only a 12 hour stay before have to move car. power cut on Sunday morning around 3am which emergency lights didn't work in room. Understand breakfast was not till 8am but had to leave 7.30am which I informed bar staff but still not sign of any staff at 7.40am. Had to leave key in room and inform pub by phone that have done.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: My first room great , light not working in bathroom and a problem with lock to the room, locked me in but sorted straight away . My nephews rom had no way to close the window had a broken window latch and had a hole In the electric socket by the bed accidentally put his fingers in it. Thank goodness not by four year old great neice
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was lovely!
Cons: The room was not the cleanest with mold on in the bathroom. The fire door was not fit for purpose as you can see between the door and the frame.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Our room was very small. Just fits a double bed in it. Bathroom tiny.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quaint very good value for money from the toiletries to the most comfortable bed ever . Breakfast could have fed two people and the coco pops had just been topped up on top of stale stuck oops in the dispenser great coffee fab staff. Just needs a bit of a going over . Very happy with my stat
Cons: Needs some attention to electrics hole in the plug socket no handle on the window lock on door locked me in - instantly sorted though.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly, great location close to restaurants. Our room was quaint and had a period cottage feel which we enjoy.
Cons: The parking at the back is first come first serve but U would think that it should be for staying guests as there are only 5 spaces. Nevertheless, car parked off road in car park so no real issue.

7.6 Good
Pros: The gardens and the lounge areas are amazing. Definitely worth doing a walk through the gardens in the morning. Great value.
Cons: The room we stayed in was very basic, which was fair for the price, but the window didn't open and the loo didn't flush properly. The room was overheated and had an odd smell.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning grounds and lovely staff
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All members of staff made you feel very welcome, were most helpful and a credit to the hotel.
Cons: The veranda outside the bar needed some shades.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Looks nice from the drive in, good gardens.
Cons: Needs work on the out of date rooms. Bar food very poor. Clearly not enough staff hired to look after a hotel full of mostly annoying wedding parties. Pool/spa area a huge disappointment compared to the photos. Generally ok for a 3 star spa break but would recommend saving for a 4 star break instead.
6.3 Good
Pros: quite hotel
Cons: too far from the city and off the main roads.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The place was very odd. Can’t say I’d recommend.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Swimming pool and spa are nice and the parkland setting
Cons: Initial room was awful, twin beds overlooking dustbins for £100 per night not including breakfast. Another room was given when we complained, that one had a bathroom door which wouldn’t open or close and a horrible smell from the bathroom sink, cue room number three. No aircon in that part of the hotel so room hot. Weddings being held on the Friday and Saturday nights causing extremely loud music well after midnight, when we asked what the cut off time for the music was we were told 1am, ridiculous. We also had to get up every morning at 6.30am to get to Countryfile Live where we were working. Breakfast was poor, no fried eggs or couldn’t be done properly(8 eggs cracked to get two decent ones) . When we were moved to another dining room the last two days the juice was revolting, completely watered down. Dinner the first night salmon was very dry. Drink and breakfast vouchers were given to compensate but shouldn’t have to keep going to reception to complain. Keycard also wouldn’t work in this and the other room we had, more traipsing to reception.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room 30111 was very good but we had to put a board under the mattress as it was too Soft . Jonathan at reception was a marvellous help. He moved us out of the Archer wing which we didn’t like .. it is too institutional and we couldn’t open the windows and secure them as they had no locks . The rooms are not air conditioned like the new block which was excellent.
Cons: Checking in time of 3pm far too late . We had our daughter join us on the Saturday for a wedding we were attending at 2.00pm in lower Slaughter and was told but she couldn’t check in to her Duluxe room when she arrived at 11.00am until 3pm and to go change in the toilet . The lady at reception was extremely unhelpful and offered no solution. In the end , the manageress Claire sorted out the situation and got the room cleaned immediately for us. She saved the day and we are grateful to her!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location and the building/grounds of the hotel itself
Cons: Staff were poor, customers were spitting indoors, very uncontrolled and loud partying throughout the hotel
4.3 Okay
Pros: The room was possibly the smallest hotel room i have ever stayed in. The room was not completely clean, the shower was not as i would expect a shower room to be, their was grouting missing in the tiles and not what i would expect from a building of this type. Breakfast was held until late which was a bonus, however there was not much staff to deal with this as tables were not set and it was all a little dis organised,.
Cons: Cleanliness
5.8 Okay
Pros: We were attending a wedding which was held in a marquee like structure in the Garden. The thing about a big place like this is there is a a need for sign postings when there aren't enough staff. First parking a car, could have had better directions to be closer to the marquee structure so as to avoid walking so much in the drizzly rain as no one wants to get wet, better still should have staff with umbrella or the many unused golf carts put to better use. Second queuing up for food to be served took to long at lunch leading to wasting time instead of exploring and enjoying the place a little bit more. Sign posting from the many car parking areas to the buildings/structures needs to be a lot better so people can navigate better.
Cons: see above
