Room was clean and the breakfast was typical. outside could use a little clean up
Nothing about it very nasty had roaches on 2 separate stays still trying to get my money back Nothing they have roaches
By accident (it was my fault), I left my corporate laptop outside Saturday morning 2/25/17 when leaving for the day. When I realized my mistake I called later in the day and spoke with Allen. He looked in the Baymont log book and found no mention of it and noted that it wasn't turned in. He walked the premises where I left the laptop and looked in the lost and found and the maids' room. No luck. When I got back to the hotel that night another guest overhead me talking about my laptop and brought it to me. They had actually called the front desk and reported that they had the laptop, but the day customer service person (a girl--name???) did not record it in the log book. I told this to Allen--and he was surprised. It was only by luck that I got it back. You know, a $2500 laptop is a big ticket item. You would think the CSR would have been a bit more on-the-ball.
Very friendly staff and conveniently located in city. Staff provided great suggestions on places to eat. The room air conditioning / heater unit was loud.
Location. Everything else. Bugs, wasn't clean, couldn't adjust heat above 61, water was lukewarm at best. Bed was hard as a rock. In short, a dump.
Nothing had to leave at 330am because of teenagers partying Phone in room didn't work Management was rude and weren't handling the teenagers drinking an using drugs in the parking lot hanging off 2nd floor blocking entire parking lot Pool full of bugs Room was filthy
Location and housekeeper was truly god sent, they should thank her for her services, without her they would have been lost they weren't ready for that many patrons, I don't believe Yes that the room smelled, even thou it was non smoking, the lamp shades were broken, worn and clearly in need of being replaced, the water pressure was almost non existent and not one ice machine worked, and my keys continued not to work all three days
Location Hotel was aged and very unclean. Bed was hard felt like I was sleeping on the ground.
Price For the money we paid it was great.
The bed was confortable The shower was slow running but the water was hot the hotel is good for construction workers and so forth not much for families. A very old hotel it's been there awhile. The breakfast was not real good just cereal and pancakes some jelly (coffee was good)bread and a bowl of apples.
The friendly staff None of the keys worked on doors and the room we was in had a issue with the bathroom
Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was kept stocked till 9am; never told 'we are out of that'. The pillows were a bit flat, but there were lots of them so we tripled up on them. The phone in one of our rooms didn't work (room 134)
Loud music outside. No coffee. Badly stained carpet. Broken lamp shade. Door seemed very loose like may have been kicked in before. No remote for tv. Broken desk.
Location Room wasn't very clean, facility was old and run down.
Nice gazebo area My room didn't have any hot water in the shower.
The staff was excellent. There were major issues in our room: Coffee Pot, Alarm clock, and Phone didn't work at all and the air conditioner wasn't cooling the room as it should but when I spoke to the front desk attendant she immediately changed our room. The second one was excellent. No issues. Quiet place to stay. Convenient to Pamlico River. I didn't care for the fact that there was no elevator and were booked on the second floor.
I was looking for an inexpensive room near the New Bern/Vanceboro area where my girlfriend and I could have a quiet Valentine's Day getaway, and the Magnuson was perfect. The room was nice and clean, nobody bothered us, and they actually still allow smoking in certain rooms (which was a plus considering the cold weather.) It's definitely not a 5-star resort, but it's not a shady flophouse either. I would not have a problem bringing children there, but we definitely felt that this was a great place for grown people who don't need chocolates on their pillows to cut loose and have a good time without being judged or frowned upon.
Had a pool Breakfast was pretty good Front desk staff was friendly Beds were comfortable and clean Hallway smelled bad Dehumidifier for the hallway was plugged in in our room Bathroom was outdated and had some lime buildup
One of two places in Washington that allows pets, somewhat dated but clean, friendly staff and no problems to speak of Breakfast is coffee and a small muffin so you may want to find some other place to eat if you're hungry, located at a busy intersection but I didn't hear any traffic during the night, mattress was a little hard
When I check in lady at front desk was every nice and give me a greeting as if I was family. Can't remember her name but she works overnight shift because we checked in late. Rooms need to be more updated. No vent in bathroom. If you go number 2 whole room smells. Bathroom is small as well.
Breakfast was good. The facitilty drastically needs to be remodeled. The business center is a desk in the lobby. The workout room had a treadmill and eliptical of which neither worked. The place appeared clean but just smelled old.
The location was fine perfect but the beds did not smell clean and I Couldn't Believe I had to sleep on them!! Very disappointed at how grungy it looked and there were cigarette ashes in the tub and the sink which I had to clean! NEVER AGAIN!! The room ,smell, bed linen...very disappointed!! Very unclean with ashes in the sink and tub so I know it wasn't sanitary!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Staff was very polite & attentive This is minor, but the channel selection on the tv was limited - and there was not an accurate channel listing.
Stale air, stuffy room, feeling of dampness.
Staff was very friendly, smiling and helpful. The location was exactly what we needed and it had very comfortable beds. Nothing fancy, just a clean comfortable room and breakfast at an affordable rate - just what we needed. I booked under Comfort Inn and was surprised my GPS took me to a Quality Inn. The hotel had just been rebranded and was undergoing upgrades and some construction to add a third floor and elevator. That didn't bother us at all. But the coffee was terrible!
