Great breakfast, great and friendly personnel, Clean and comfortable bedroom
Friendly staff, very good cooking
Pool Lack of dinner options in area requires you to eat at hotel which is very expensive. bring your own food!
An excellent hotel. The room and view was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Very convenient to Uzes and Pont du Gard and within easy reach of Avignon. Will certainly stay thwere again.
The helpfulness and cheerfulness of staff, the quality of the property and its location. The ability and preparedness of staff to speak English: It was difficult to find; travelling by car. A sketch map of Collias may be better.
Very welcoming managers. Excellent cuisine and service. Beautiful views over the countryside. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms. Very well placed for visits to surrounding areas of interest, including the Pont du Gard and walks in the Garrigue. Large, very clean outdoor swimming pool. Excellent value for money.
everything fine, I hope I can come back...... nice staff and really nice place... a bit hot but it was a really warm day! thanks a lot
The rural ambiente , the contact with the family in charge of the hotel. Contrary to what is stated on hotel's website and booking.com' s booking confirmation , this hotel does not accept payment by credid card.
Calm place anc close to a nice towns . Very hot .no AC ,you can't pay with a credit card very difficult to communicate with the owners ,no Internet service in the house.
Ease of booking in and very pleasant owner
Good size unheated swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. Ample parking Interior decor in rooms very tired. No drinks available apart from breakfast, and hotel is 1.5 km from nearest facilities.
the room overlooking the pool was very good and the hotel staff were very friendly
The rooms are very poorly soundproofed. You can hear everything happening next door or next floor. But this is the only real problem. The rest is really nice.
Visited the Musee 1900 and the Pont du Gard. Walked around the beautiful town of Uzes with its pretty streets and delightful old buildings. Also, there are some exquisite shops to see. The hotel is also fairly conveniently situated to visit the Grotte des Demoiselles which are a must. Wanted to visit the Haribo sweet factory just on the outskirts of the town but being August, the queues were too long so another time... Yes, it lacked air conditioning and the bedroom were unpleasantly hot. It's a pity to be negative as everything else about the hotel was fabulous, the owners ere delightful and its location stunning.
The peaceful and charming surroundinds The room originally booked (€62) thru booking.com was very bad, unkempt, no real window, so we requested a better room for which the rate was €75; however in spite of the heat circa 28C we were provided with a noise fan,
Pleasant quiet location, out of town, well signposted, comfortable rooms, pleasant helpful staff, plenty of car parking space, great breakfast on terrace. Would reccomend it to friends.
Friendly staff. Excellent pool area and tables on terrace. Ample parking.
Delightful and friendly and helpful hosts - relaxed atmosphere - quiet and peaceful-would happily stay there again
We liked the location (just slightly removed from the center of Uzès) and the room with its magnificent view, and the breakfasts. We also very much liked the friendliness of the family that manages the hotel.
Very nice hotel with small pool. Buffet breakfast was included in the price. Very close to Pont du Gard. About a 15 minute walk to Uzes.
The town of Uzes is easily accessible and the rooms were very comfortable. I felt that there should have been tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Hotel was clean and bright. Small pool area with plenty of tables and chairs. Rooms very clean and had everything we needed. Ate in restaurant and food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly.
Comfortable bedroom, lovely outdoor restaurant terrace, good breakfast buffet, tennis courts, clean environment, plenty of on site car parking Small swimming pool
good dinner (not included in room rate)ok breakfast very rude staff, no soap or cups in bathroom, very tiny cramped room
Excellent flexible service - 3 * hotel with a 5* service - warm and helpful - I was with my large enthusiastic 6 month puppy and all the staff were lovely to us - I felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. Very accomodating. I had a good, clean room with a nice bed, tv and very nice bathroom/ seperate wc. Great access all round - thanks to Bernard and the staff there. Superb.(I even arrived late and still got dinner on a tray sent to me.)
It had beautiful design features, the staff and management were excellent and very accommodating. We particularly found the manager very professional and well informed about Best Western.......We also own and run a Best Western on the Canadian West Coast, so we can understand the ups and downs of opening a new facility in town. I was just wondering why the b/w in France do not have a toilet brush in their facilities, we also stayed in one in Paris for four days and the same applies there. Considering that all other facilities do so, we found it strange that they were not supplied. Just a point of interest.
The staff was very friendly and very efficient. It was a very busy time due to a coach group and the only 2 waiters managed the evening well (but did they run their legs off... ). The dinner was excellent and the breakast was adequat. The rooms are well layout and would be excellent if the cleaning would be improved. When I arrived the floor wasn't hoovered and according to the dust, I dont think it gets ever hoovered and I dont want to know the condition of the mattress...However, bathroom hygiene is more important and this certainly lacked. It needs a desinfecting process as there was mould on the tiles where one could see little animals crawling up and down.... The bathroom furniture gets soaked in water when showering and therefore it falls apart. The towels got changed every day but in different quantities. I would recommend the restaurant and the staff but certainly not the accommodation and I would need to think hard to stay again due to the hygiene.
Good value, comfortable hotels Could do with proper coffee for breakfast
Pleasant, well-appointed 3 star hotel with relaxed atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Enjoyed eating on shaded terrace adjoining swimming pool. Free car parking with plenty of spaces.
Location, garden and pool and a wonderful dining room with excellent food. Close to so many interesting towns and sites, such as the Pont du Garde, Avignon, Nimes, Arles and the Camargue. Room a bit dark but probably inevitable in such old buildings but could be compensated by better artificial lighting and mirrors. Double beds should have proper double bedcovers not two single overlapping.
Locality Staff border line rude - ridiculously expensive restaurant. Impossible to enjoy a late night drink as staff refused to serve us . Bathroom in our supposedly 'Superior Double room' was actually open to the bedroom and the room itself incredibly basic.
Great ambience and fantastic food
Spacious room; excellent though pricey Michelin two-star restaurant; secure and accessible parking; several kilometers to autoroute. Constrained village views from room; no alternative restaurants nearby
place the only place to eat is the hotel restaurant; expensive (twice as room) and exclusive and slow (3h for our dinner; but 9 plates...)
Nice facilities, gorgeous old stone building, beautiful restaurant, fantastic staff (in general). We stayed here to ride up Mt Ventoux and watch the Tour de France. Beautiful area, I would go back in a minute. The concierge was rude, to the point of tainting the entire experience. Breakfast should be included (it was not) and very expensive if one wanted to add it. However, breakast is available at several lovely stores and bistros right anround the corner.
Lovely hotel in lovely location with pretty grounds No food can be worth that money! needs more sunbeds by pool. Great new Tapas bar in the village
Food is absolutely wonderful Food is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Waitors were a bit grungy.
Quiet and beautiful old chateax in centre of Collias Room had an outdoor terrace with no view - just high walls. the furnishings in the room were worn. the shower (no bath) was small, dark and soaked the floor with every use. the gourmet dinner was too ornate/fussy/serious for the size and scale of hotel.
Panoramic viewwith lovely open air pool, staff friendly and helpful
Clean and modern in quiet location. Very good room rate. Hotel staff is not present before 8 am or after 8 pm or between noon and 4 pm; we arrived at 2 pm and could not even get in. Staff was friendly but not very helpful. Two gentlemen at check-in offered no help to my wife for her bags even though we were on 2nd floor and no elevator. Breakfast was minimal and over-priced. Location was more remote than we expected; services in town are nil.
Lovely hotel with well appointed room and bathroom.Dinner well presented on terrace.Locked free car park. Limited choice on Dinner Menus.
The gourmet meal was delicious and friendly served. Apart from that we hardly saw anybody - staff or owners. After paying the bill nobody said goodbye. Hospitality is something else! As weather was too cold to sit in the garden/terrasse, we missed a lounge area or bar. One could either stay in the room or in the rather cold entrance hall ;-(
Superb position - totally relaxing place to stay with the added bonus of a wonderful chef Staff could have been more helpful getting bags to our room as there is no lift - one actually passed us struggling on the stairs!!
Peacefull location.Ideal for visiting Pont du Gard.Lovely room with terrace overlooking the pool 13 Euros for breakfast was very expensive
You can see that we liked just about everything We really would have enjoyed a choice of cheese/cold meat and a wider range of yoghurts for breakfast - as that would have been far more in keeping with the rest of the exceptional standards/quality offered.
The setting of the hotel was beautiful and there was a lovely ambience in the grounds. There was insufficient staff. When we returned at 10.0 p.m. at nightgthe hotel was closed down, with no lighting. There was no emergency number to call. When we left in the early morning (7,.15 a.m), againthere were no staff, and we had the greatest difficulty in getting out of the security gates at the front of the hotel. There was a feeling that the owners did not care about their guests at all.
Very pleasant room and view over the village. Bathroom was big and had lots of towels and good quality products. Restaurant closed on Sunday night.
A very cozy & quiet hotel in the upper part of the village , nice furnished Food was just missing that little edge to make it fit the setting and surroundings of this charming hotel. Also I think the staff could be a bit more trained on service ( way wine and plates were served a bit clumsy )
Very quiet location.Reception was very helpful on our arrival. It was a little bit hard to find.
friendliness of staff, willingness to put themselves out to help. No restaurant facilities in the evening-although we have stayed before and the restaurant has been open.We thought that perhaps it was because it was the winter period.
Pleasant outdoor seating areas and pool. Good standard evening meal available. Staff friendly and helpful. Very safe location for people with children. Good size, comfortable bed and good standard shower and toilet facilities. Room facilities could easily be improved - there was one plastic chair, poorly functioning TV, no hairdrier.
friendly atmosphere, clean, modern and comfortable room, peaceful location, secure car parking. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. TV reception not great in room, fruit at breakfast rather meagre and of poor quality, and no choice of 'healthy' (ie. fibre-rich ) cereals and pain complet.
Welcoming staff, homely feel, beautiful rooms and stunning location, bargain price, good food. More like a 3+ star hotel. I will be going back! The hotel is not close to the town and was difficult to find in the dark.
good modern hotel a bit out of the way
Simple, clean room, comfortable bed, crisp sheets. A1 shower. Great views from the balcony. Well sound proofed. Nothing
value for money and excellent breakfasts location - too far out of town, fact that it was run as owner's home and their children were running around and ate in dining room would put me off staying again but v good value for money and courtyard and pool a real plus
The loungers around the pool were amazing....bean bags and hammocks!. And I loved being waited on around the pool. The food at the restaurant was very tastey. A 3 course meal with some unusual choices but delicious all the same. Catered well for kids with less discerning palates. Little english spoken but just about enough to get by. The rooms were large and airey with air conditioning and wonderfully large showers. Quiet area but still close enough to Nimes airport which is a fabulous location for early morning flights. An excellent find which I would definitely recommend. no
We stayed one night between destinations. We enjoyed the pool and the restaurant. There is nothing special about the location.
The staff were very freindly and helpful, the food was very very nice and not expensive, the pool area was great . The hotel does have traffic noise .
Calm, relaxing atmosphere; very charming rustic building but quite sophisticated decor/ambience. Was worried about being so near an airport but only saw one plane and it wasn't very loud. Although only a stopover we all wanted to return for a holiday! although food was overall good, with a very nice breakfast, some disappointments at dinner (poor quality steak; over-peppered duck)
Very friendly staff and excellent evening meal. Very convenient for Nimes airport.
The outside pool is a great asset. breakfast was adequate (not the best we had, but the food was wonderful in the evenings, especially the fish and the 'fig tart'. The owners were very helpful and even gave us a lift to the airport. Although some aspects of the room need updating, such as the bathroom, it was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable,
Given the proximity of the airport the hotel was remarkably quiet. The overall atmosphere was one of calmness and relaxation. The staff polite and helpful. The main attraction as far as my children were concerned were Vanilla and Tiger. All in all a really welcoming Hotel
It was a beautiful and charming place to stay. The pool was large, lovely and clean. The pool area was well equipped with hammocks, chaise lounges and the staff provided pool towels. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and clean.
Good food, nice pool and attractive outside eating area. Room decor getting a little shabby,in need of redecoration.
friendly & helpful reception staff. beautiful pool restaurant not open
Its location is superb. Full of charm. The two hosts were fantastic, always happy to oblige. On site restaurant was excellent with best breakfast of our trip. The hotel has a small garage some short distance away - tests one's driving skills to get in and out down the narrow lane but otherwise a great asset. I can highly recommend this place. The room appeared a little cold/damp when we arrived but this was overcome with the air conditioner. Noises from other rooms an issue - it's an older building but nicely done up - however, plumbing noises as well as noises through the floors, despite people being asked to walk quietly.
Location is just perfect, 30 meters from the boulevard, which encircles the tiny centre of the town. Terrace on the last floor allows to have a breakfast there. In good weather it should be fantastic. The new owners, which apparently just taken over the business are quite nice and helpful. The hotel does not have the heating system, just the air-conditioning. So just be ready that in the off season it will be quite cold in the rooms.
This was a delightful hotel. The rooms were spacious, beautifully clean and interesting. The hotel owner was very nice and helpful and the food was superb. would definitely recommend to anyone and will stay again.
Friendly welcome, individually decorated comfortable rooms, in the old town centre, good food. parking could be difficult
Location, size of room, helpful staff The bed had a plastic undersheet, which detracted significantly from the comfort of the bed.
Immaculately clean, impeccable taste in renovation and decoration. Courteous helpful. Beautiful location. Rural location with modern ammenities
An excellent base in Uzes ideally placed for exploring the town and its sights, restaruants and relaxing in the market square. The hotel staff made us very welcome and the room was perfect in every respect.
The owner/operator Daniel was particularly helpful to us during our brief stay at his hotel. We had a very nice dinnerl in his restaurant.
Our charming, one-of-a-kind room was adjacent to a third floor terrace - a lovely place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after touring the historic centre ville. The location was just steps away from the shops and restaurants of Uzes. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating - making sure our car was parked safely, getting ice to chill our wine and willing to answer questions about the town. We did not eat at the hotel, but the dining area was bustling and decorated in a very tasteful Provencal style - wish we could have squeezed it in!
The hotel is in the center of Uzès. Great location. Amazingly quiet. Very clean. The decoration and furnishings are original and beautiful. The restaurant is good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good bed, spacious room. Modern conveniences. One evening it poured rain and we were very happy to stay in, cosy and warm and well-fed. We had a "whirlpool bath" which was water jets coming out from the side of a normal-size bathtub. I had imagined something more grand. A little note in the room asked us not to use the water jets before 9 a.m. or after 10 p.m. due to noise. So in the end we never used it at all. The garage is a walk away from the hotel and is quite tricky to get in and out of, however we were pleased to have the use of it. The rooftop terrace was not open, even though the weather was good, maybe it is a seasonal offer, our stay was in October.
