Le Molina B&B - Massa e Cozzile - Building
1
9.8 Excellent (90 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Barbara was a very good host and made a very nice typical Italian breakfast. Although we missed the bread, the cake and croissants were delicious. The room was ok for the price we paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very familiar atmosphere and friendly treatment. Calm, silent and beatiful view of the valley. Good discussion with landlady about different baking traditions! Montecatini Termi nice surprise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like very much the breakfast , variation every day and perfect amount of food. Location was far away from everything and that was actualy what we were looking for :-)
Cons: would prefer Single bed instead of dobble bed. maybe some better chair outside in the garden to relax in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Interior design with very cozy details. Amazing breakfast with homemade bread & homemade orange marmelade from their garden. Specail host that cares and covers everything...
Cons: No such a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly owner Barbara. Good suggestions for places and restaurants to visit. Breakfast and location were fantastic between the olive trees! The bed was also very comfortable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Tastefully decorated room. The house keeps cool temperature so we didn't have to use the A/C although it was pretty hot outside. A restaurant recommended by the friendly owner turned out to be superb (with excellent food, reasonable prices and a million-dollar view). Breakfast v. tasty and fresh (only sweet options, so may not be suitable for all). Kitchen available for quests.
Cons: It was difficult to relax in the garden or let our baby play there as there were so many ants everywhere, not only on the ground but also on all loungers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Let me start by saying that Barbara is an absolutely fantstic host! When we arrived Barbara heartly welcomed us. The first thing that catched our attraction was the lovely ‘French’ decorating style. Barabara’s eye for detail comes back in everything! Both the bedroom and breakfast room were very clean. The breakfast was a true surprise every day. We still can’t forget the homemade pastries, fresh fruits and delicious Italian coffee. Said that - Barbara gave us good recommandations for our visits in the region and for the rest of our road trip. It was a real pleasure to stay at Le Molina. If we could go back to this region in Italy we would definitely stay at Le Molina again and we recommend others to do the same.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 3 nights in Le Molina BnB and we can conclude that we will come back for sure! Barbara, the owner, is the most lovely woman in the Toscana. The room is super comfy, clean, bright... and the breakfasts are simply sublime: all the pastry is home made and delicious. Barbara is also a really good tourist adviser, we have followed all her indications and we are happy with all what we have seen. Grazie mille B!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had and amazing experience. The property was set in a beautiful location and it was kept in a meticulate manner. Attention to every detail you can imagine. Our room was very comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast was totally amazing. The most beautiful table setting with fresh fruits, coffee, bread and fresh cut flowers! Barbara is an amazing host. She took great care of us giving us fantastic places to visit. She is truly a GEM and you can feel her touch all over the property.
Cons: Everything was excellent!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, quiet location, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Iryna and Luciano went out of their way to be very helpful and welcoming.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very nice, decorated well. The owner and staff were friendly. The scenery was stunning.
Cons: The rooms were warmer inside using the AC; AC would turn off if you opened a window. We had to open a window to sleep or go outside to cool off, another guest (who had downstairs room)said my phone conversation while I was outside on the patio to a friend in America in a low voice woke up their baby. This was the same couple who had come back from dinner after 22:30, pushing their baby in a carriage. There's a baby sleeping next to us on the 2nd floor; this baby cried when my roommate was trying to sleep; we didn't complain. I had back surgery and had requested a room on the first floor. The two families with the babies should have rooms next to each other upstairs, allowing the two older handicap women the ability to get the first floor room since there's no lift nor help carrying bags upstairs. Finally, the doors were locked at 21:00, and I had panicked, had to call the owner when I couldn't find the handle to exit the main building. In case of emergency, this could have been very dangerous. Perhaps the door situation should have been made clear upon check in. After a call to the owner I was informed where to find the latch to go outside; I had to leave the door open so I would not get locked out since there was only one key given to us, it was being used inside our room's wall device to run the barely functioning AC. Lastly, I awakened early to secure a table next to the edge of the outdoor breakfast area; however, I was informed the table was reserved; and it was the last table near the edge of the dining area that had a view. After 10 minutes, an older couple sat down, and was not asked to move; apparently they had it was their reservation. I can understand a large party needs a table set up in advance to accommodate the numbers, but this was a surprise and unfair. It was casual dining; should have been on a first come, first serve basis. Disappointing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is very cute and you can totally feel that tuscan style. Room was perfectly clean. Highly recommend for a quiet and relaxed stay :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for a perfect B&B go to La Piana. Everything is thoughtfully designed. The garden and pool are beautiful. We had a lot of fun during the Pizza evening that helped us make friends with good conversation. Hospitality was the right combination friendly, helpful and business. We hope we can go back soon!
Cons: Getting there is half the adventure. The access road is small and the drive into the B&B is steep. However, this is Tuscany... what you get back is a wonderful, classic Tuscan view, a combination of nature and agriculture.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel that ticked all the boxes. Lovely location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean, good facilities and lovely breakfast. The Hotel does not do evening meals but holds a Tuscan evening and a Pizza evening once a week. We went to the Tuscan evening which was delicious and our only disappointment was that the Pizza evening was cancelled when we stayed as I'm sure this would have been brilliant too.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Home feeling, located in an idyllic village on a hill, you feel at home; Myriam, the host, is a lovely warm woman, this is the typical Tuscany atmosphere you feel as if you are in a romantic movie
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is just amazing, not far away from Lucca and Florence. You can find in a small town of few streets a nice restaurants, bars and even nice shoe shop. The place gets busier in the afternoon, as lot of Italians from nearby cities would go there for dinner. The town itself has a history. It is surrounded by walls with main gates, located on a hill with an amazing views. The property Antica Casa Naldi is traditional Tuscan house, with very big rooms, comfortable beds and beautiful views. The host is an amazing woman, so easy going... we felt there like at home. Brilliant breakfast, big fully equipped kitchen... Our 4 years boy loved everything about the house and the place, which is very important when travelling with kids. I highly recommend this place and for sure we will be back :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location (provided you have a car) and a quirky older property. Guampaolo is very attentive and runs it in classy fashion. Great homely restaurant, Il Poderino, across the road. It is not fancy, but food is good.
Cons: Tuttobene
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place and host.
Cons: Nothing to criticize.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giampaulo and Paula were engaging and helpful hosts. Giampaulo was particularly helpful when I lost my phone, going out of his way to help. The breakfasts were an event! Lovely local cheeses, meats, honey and jams plus croissants, cakes, yoghurt and delicious cappucino. Pleasant pool area behind the Villa. The view from the room was fabulous. The little shop on the premises sold a fine selection of local produce and some cool T-shirts.
Cons: There wasn't a cupboard to hang clothes, only a rack but this was clear before we booked, there was plenty of drawer space. The bed, although comfortable, did squeak and creak a lot!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance of this home is wonderful, the views are amazing, and the host was very kind and helpful. He gave us some good tips on what to visit (Pistoia!). We enjoyed the pool on the warmer days.
Cons: Would modern, comfortable mattrasses fit the older style beds? That would be the only thing I would recommend.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The building and outdoor area and the pool were amazing. The view from our balcony was fantastico! The host and hostess were so friendly and welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home.
Cons: We thought we were having our own kitchen but nevertheless our host organized a bbq for us. The shower was a little dodgy but we got our hot water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are so hospitable, informative, helpful and caring! Location is beautiful, peaceful and perfect surroundings to make day trips. If we have the change we would definitely return to this beautiful villa!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal and the owners were very nice. Had everything we needed. The turret has an awesome view that we never tired of.
Cons: Bed was really hard. Many steps to get into the apartment and in the apartment itself, which was ok for us but not suitable for others
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our host was very kind.
Cons: Not too easy to find, especially in the evening!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The kindness and helpfulness of the host was exceptional
Cons: Not suitable for people without a car - though Gianpaolo, the host was extremely helpful in giving us lifts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was extraordinary. The hosts make you feel like home. They are the nicest. Also Mr. Gianpaolo speaks english very well. Then the view just leaves you speachless and it has a great garden with pool. The breakfast is excellent and we think it is very good value. As a whole we noticed a lot of attention to details, which we really enjoyed. I know its a lot of big words, but we were blown away and can't wait to visit Colle Olivi again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast served in your room to you every morning. Lovely large bedroom and bathroom and excellent views.
Cons: The lift going down to the pool. No stairs. Got stuck in the lift and pressed the alarm to which no one came. The lights had gone off so it was pitch black but luckily we had a phone so lit up the panel to which you could pull some lever and eventually the door opened. Being claustrophobic I was not happy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool and spa facilities. Comfy room
Cons: Bad WiFi connection and a bit of an uncomfortable bed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We decided to stay a bit out of Lucca, away from the crowds. This place was perfect. So relaxing and quiet. Still beautiful. It was lovely waking up and virtually being in the vineyards. The staff were so so helpful and lovely. Breakfast was nice, but not the best we have had in Italy, but that is far from a criticism because it was still good. Great pool as well which was perfect after a hot day sightseeing!
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful surroundings. Brand new hotel with quality fixtures and fittings, we had a great room with a view of the vineyard! Fun wine tasting. Not busy at all and so we had the spa to ourselves.
Cons: Little things.... (reported to the hotel at the time) Mini bar fridge didn’t work TV just local Italian, not even BBC world or pay movies available. Air con stopped working in the room. For such a beautiful, classy, and expensive stay these shouldn’t have been an issue!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms , spa very good and lovely views of Montecarlo. The wines are excellent as was the Syrah restaurant. Very nice outside area in front of room to relax for breakfast or in the evening.
Cons: The service was patchy - dinner wasn’t booked when requested , wine tasting was messed up , breakfast in the room was a bit of a lottery with what arrived - milk missing , cutlery missing etc. Staff were pleasant and helpful when approached.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing swimming pool & rooms
Cons: Breakfast served in the room - we prefer the one served in the restaurant with a possibility to go for it whenever you want (depending on how long you want to sleep) and not set the alarm clock every morning to wake up on time that you have written the day before to the form Receptionists are an amazing girls but the problem is that the reception is opened just for few hours daily, so you have to wait for a long time when you want something
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern, Clean
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms and amazing bathroom. The view could't be any better. Swimming pool is not very deep (1.40 m) but was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay and the very good restaurant there.
Cons: The check in was a little awkward because it is in the restaurant. Breakfast is served in the room every morning which is different but nice. We missed the option for fresh fruit or eggs. Sadly there was no bar or any kind of service at the pool. Also we wanted to use the sauna and turkish bath but it wasn't turned on..
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: Stop at the entrance door. You can bump your head. Late check-in and early check-out.
5.0 Okay
Pros: nice room
Cons: check out at 10:30am, service inexistant. Only interest of the hotel is to sell you their wine. Very disappointing. No experience in hotel and service.

Cons: No air-conditioning.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The personnel was very friendly and welcoming. Could not have wished for better!
Cons: Me and my boyfriend stay at the place for 1 night. We have been travelling around Tuscany and looking for nice and old/authentic places to stay. In this hotel, the room was not comfortable - it had a "damp" feeling and it was rather dark. The biggest turn-off was the bathroom: there was mold, the shower was very very basic (it was impossible to shower without getting the whole bathroom wet) ...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A hidden gem! The location is fabulous, and we loved the town of Montecarlo. Laura was absolutely phenomenal in helping us plan our mini vacation....coordinating wine tastings, restaurant reservations and preparing a special local meal for us. It's a quaint BnB and will definitely return.
Cons: If you are not able to climb stairs and carry your luggage, this would be a difficult accommodation for you.

The Villa has so much history, its like being is a fairytale - just close your eyes and dream.... or open them and soak up the fantastic views from the multiple verandas and room vistas. Our room was simple but gorgeous with lots of windows in different directions... lots of fresh air and the smell of jasmine too. If you are looking for a place to relax and explore the Tuscan countryside and coast this is perfect. Great restaurant - the food was lovely and very affordable. Nice open air bar area - we tried our first Hugo cocktail (wont be the last!). There is a Jacuzzi area and a pool in the gardens. Whats more to love - cant want to go back: Big smiles all round.
Cons: There is nothing I did not like. The only thing I would like to see improve if the pool area - needs a little TLC... but such a small thing and we had a great dip, watching the sun set, sipping Aperol Spritzers!

Pros: Really nice place and nice village
Cons: We felt tricked since we expected to have kichenette in our Room, since it is on every picture of a place and in general conditions it said:”each apartment is equipped with a kicchenette and refrigrator”. But we get simple small two bed room, becouse apparently we did not book apartment. IT did not even came to my mind that there are rooms withouth kitchen, if is described that each has kicchenette and on pictures each room hadit. It was very noisy becouse one guest celebrated something in the gard. No aircondition sto we could not close window.

Pros: well renovated rooms with elevator(really useful when traveling with kids)Also well positioned close to the centre of Pescia and to surround area (we use it as base for road trip explorer toscane )
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was very convenient since it's right in the city centre .
Cons: when I got there at train station , there was no taxi to take us to the apartment . We had to walk for 25 min which it was ok . My suggestion would be for the host to offer a ride just in case there are no taxis available .
6.3 Good
Pros: The room is a good size, the walls and ceilings decorated with attractive frescoes. The windows look over Pescia's main square, with hills rising above the buildings. The furniture is sufficient, though there should be a desk. (There was a folding table which could be used as a desk.) The shower works well: plenty of hot water. Good bed, not too soft.
Cons: Service limited. Phone in advance for the key - owner not present. No service during my three-night stay - no cleaning, no replacement of coffee capsules. Air conditioning did not work. Keys of rooms appear to be inter-changeable; another guest was able to enter my room. No internet. No glasses, plates or cutlery - no facility therefore even for having a cold meal.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Classy accommodation, in a beautiful historical building right between the river and the main square. The apartment was quiet, cozy and warm, with authentic vintage furniture and high ceilings with wooden beams in the truest Tuscan style. We especially appreciated the kindness and friendliness of the manager, who waited and welcomed us warmly even though we arrived late and after the agreed check-in time. I would recommend it.
Cons: Just one thing: floor and bedside lamps create a beautiful atmosphere but the overall ambient lighting in our rooms could have been brighter. Parking in the neighbourhood is not that easy but we got useful tips from the manager.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely lovely guesthouse, room was large and had all we needed. Good location in a lovely location. If I'm in the region again will definitely book again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was a perfect location to the hospital where my mother was staying. It was a great location to the little square and it was wonderful to have a television. The bed was amazing.
Cons: Not sure how to work the air conditioning and I felt silly asking - not the fault of the management.
6.8 Good
Pros: The place is located right on the main square of Pescia, with a lot of cafes and lil local nice shops around. It's nicely refurbished old building, with very high ceilings and some period furniture.
Cons: Even thought the check in time for the property is stated to be 3-8pm in the listing, when we arrived in Pescia at 3pm we were told we can only check in at 6pm because ... it's is 1st January. No information of that kind was given when we got our booking confirmation. Also, the property has no reception desk, and the contact number given on booking confirmation was out of service, so we had to call the head office in Milan to find a local contact (who spoke barely any English). The room was also barely equipped. There was an nespresso machine with 4 hot chocolate (! not coffee !) capsules for the whole of our stay, and not even a single water glass to use (not very convenient taken there's no common facilities at all to the property). Also, please note there's NO WIFI available at the property, it's mentioned somewhere in the listing, but really easy to miss when booking, and it did come as a big surprise for us.

Cons: Low WiFi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, away from all the crowds, but only 10 minutes by car to local town.
Cons: It was not made clear how far the pool was from the house, not a problem for us but might be for families with children.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything. House, the space, the view and the nature . Nothing was missing in the house, it was big and clean. The pool was on the top of the hill with beautiful views. It is the best retreat from the Tuscan busy towns and still 20 minutes from Lucca and 60 minutes from Pisa or Florence. But it is the landscape and the quietness of the place that make a difference.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect :) :) :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stella was extremely helpful with directions in getting us there, and also with any questions we had about the area. The accommodation was very comfortable (good shower!), and the location was beautiful and peaceful, even though it was tricky to get to. The bottle of wine on arrival was much appreciated. I'd recommend this lovely place (and Stella) to anyone wanting to chill out.
Cons: The roads leading to it
