excellent,,ideal for a short break,,great hosts,,lovely setting,,
The host of the hotel is very nice, with great hospitality We need to drive to Avignon for dinner
We just stayed one night on transit to another location but we loved the place. It is quiet and uncrowded in a rural setting near vineyards, perfect for relaxing. If you have a car, it is an excellent place to use as a base to visit the surrounding historic Provence during the day and return for a pleasant dinner in the evening at a very reasonable price. Our rooms were ample and clean. It had no air conditioning, but the electric fan was enough for a comfortable sleep at night in spite of the summer heat of Provence. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool too. The staff were kind and patient. The attic room that our children loved had the bathroom acrooss a stairway with a bit uncommon arrangement of steps --- my son stubbed his toe at night while returning from the bathroom and lost a toe nail. Perhaps a small night light in the area might help to prevent accidents.
Elegant, spotlessly clean and restored with care and great taste. The hosts were friendly and helpfull. Quiet and peaceful setting alongside a vineyard. Use oif latitude and lonbgitude on the GPS led right to their front gate.
Convenient location, close to Avignon.A great holiday weekend.Clean air, quiet, nice view from the bedroom window. A lot of stairs. Our room was 2 floors and from bedroom to the bathroom we had to be raised and down the stairs. We would like to write about this when booking.
excellent restaurant (deserves a star) with very low prices and good offers, good value für your money. Spacious, apartment-like rooms with a little terrace. Gorgeous swimming pool. Quiet , not many people . the pool needs more care. No shower, no parasols available
Fantastic restaurant, nice room, effective air conditioning. Nicer pool and area than many others.
Self catering facilities ok. Location ok, but, only if you have your own transport. This is not a hotel, it's a small self-catering apartment with a sofa bed. no signage, so had to rely on gps & Bookings.com photos to establish that we had found the place. Reception between 4&6pm only, no signs in English to tell us how to check in, or even get in the door. Had to phone Bookings.com to tell someone we'd arrived, at 6:05pM. Took 1/2 hour to find someone! Staff had not printed off Bookings.com sheet, so didn't know we were coming - had to hurriedly find us a room, after initially telling us they had none available. No tv or washing machine in room as advertised. Staff found us a tv after we tracked one of them down. Not suitable for travelers - ok for French people for self catering apartment.
We stayed overnight at Le Saint Laurent because we needed to break a drive from the Nice area to Toulouse. We picked this hotel because it was bookable on the web, and we thought it would be fun to stay in or near Lirac and Tavel, whose wines we often enjoy at home. The hotel is in a beautiful stark old building, but stuffed to the gills with kitsch furnishings and decor. If you're in the mood to be amused by this sort of thing (we were) you might well enjoy yourself here. The buffet breakfast was absolutely superb, especially the bread and patisserie. Well, given how much decorative clutter there was in the room, it must have been easy for the staff to overlook the provision of a basic cake of soap to wash our hands with :-) I'm sure the attentive young man who was in charge would have been only too glad to find us one, but it seemed simpler to use the lemon-verbena shower gel.
A wonderful small boutique type hotel with lots of charm and perfect attention to detail. The service is superb.
Location and look of hotel--it was stunning! The staff was not very helpful and breakfast was not worth the money they charged for it.
Charming and different in a countryside setting but close to major sites such Avignon. Little details ....like being charged for coffee after dessert. Breakfast was pretty poor for the price.
an excellent location and very quite.
Our suite was restful, comfortable and exceptionally beautiful. I was attracted by the phrase a profound sense of aesthetisism which I had read about the hotel and certainly found to be true.
The atmosphere, the personal touch and the excellent food.
I enjoyed the hotel very much. The room was small but comfortable with a reasonably large bathroom. The courtyard where I took breakfast and dinner was lovely: quiet and charming. While breakfast was the standard European fare, the dinners were marvelous: four course affairs served at a very pleasant pace by professional and friendly staff. Most of all, I appreciated that the night we arrived--quite late, unfortunately--the owner welcomed us warmly, made us feel comfortable and had the kitchen put together a cheese plate so we could have something to eat before going to bed.
The manager was very helpful, the location was good close to Avignon and lots of other good places. The price of breakfast- 19 euros per person was very hard to justify spending so much on this meal, wish there had of been options to just have, say a coffee and croissant for a lower price.
Cheap accomodation for people visiting Provance and Languedoc but not for people who want to take a rest in the hotel They don't want to respect the prices offered on booking.com website, we had to negotiate
good, very clean hotel in excellent position. Parking nearby, small room but great value. air conditioning was not working very well.No wi-fi but could connect in most rooms, but not ours
location, quiet owners expected us to have dinner at the inn
The hotels looks nice, staff is nice, breakfast was good and the swimming pool area welcoming We could hear noise coming from other rooms
The owners were professional, helpful and friendly - and spoke English which was helpful although we can usually get by in French. We are possibly returning next year. The food was good and the wine The steps to the swimming pool
Although finding the Auberge was difficult, een wih a GPS system, once found it was a delightfully warm and accommodating place. Our one night stay was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast. It had a French countryside quaintness and personal warmth. We regret that we stayed at the inn on the night that they did not serve dinner.
