5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful well cared for chateau. Nadine very helpful with limited English mixed with our limited French was funny at times. The owner Lauren showed us her winery, which was interesting and clearly a labour of love. Surrounding area is beautiful but we found to be very quiet as it was harvest time and people very busy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restored Chateau is of great historical interest & is situated in a perfect setting among the vines.. The rooms are well equipped with a very comfortable bed & all the facilities in the bathroom.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chateau de Briante is an absolutely beautiful property that let us discover the Beaujolais wine region easily and with so much relaxation. Breakfast every morning was delicious, with many options between fruits, breads, jams and drinks. The location was right in the middle of the Beaujolais wine route, and was easily accessible to other wineries. Touring Chateau de Briante's winery was also cool, as the entire Chateau is a working winery, which is something we were very excited about. Lauren hosted an informative wine tasting followed by a tour of her facility, it was really cool! The pool area was great to relax at after a long day of biking and touring around. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a nice outdoor entrance to relax at as well. Also, we loved the family's winery dog, he was great at greeting us every time we returned to the property. Would highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the region! The wine at the Chateau is amazing as well, we look forward to finding it in a wine shop soon.
Cons: It would be cool to offer lawn games such as badminton, crocket, etc to play on the front lawn! The front lawn is so spacious, just a suggestion for an extra activity!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was so good that this was a return visit for us and we will come again
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, huge room. The innkeeper doesn’t speak English, but it was no problem for me and my wife. She was very kind and the room was gorgeous. Too hot to use the pool but it looked nice.
Cons: No complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying at the château was even more delightful than we anticipated. The setting is wonderful - right in the middle of vineyards and on the edge of the village with a small but pleasant restaurant. Breakfast was exceptional in its freshness (especially the orange juice and fruit salad). Our room was spacious and had obviously been prepared to the highest of standards. I don't think we've ever seen bigger or fluffier towels! Parking is straightforward. We have stayed in this area several times before but not in this particular accommodation. It has now become for us a further, definite option. Worth emphasising that breakfast is superb but there is no evening provision. Possibilities include: restaurant in the village (fairly basic in facilities but warmly welcoming and with good food); the Château de Pizay (requires booking in advance for most of the year); the Auberge de Clochemerle (also requires a booking and fully deserves its Michelin star).
Cons: Nothing.

One perfect finish of our long trip which was crossing 5 countries
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that the window of the room should stay closed and no fresh air was entering.our room was looking to the street (not to the garden),next time we should book a room with garden view (the garden is really relaxing and totally nice)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm hospitality with bonus wine tasting !
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was total separate from the owners house and had its own small terrace. It was quite spacious and had a nice walk in shower. The owners were very hospitable and could not have done more to help us during our stay. Breakfast was served on their terrace and was excellent with plenty of choice. We took up the option of having an evening meal on our first night and sat on their terrace and ate the meal with them, getting the chance to taste some of the wine they produce with the meal. (We bought some cases before we left) They are a very pleasant and friendly couple and we enjoyed really talking to them during the evening.
Cons: It was recommended that we keep the shutters closed in the afternoon and until the sun set to keep the room cool. However it made the room dark. However not much that could be done about that.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Firstly the location and views are amazing of the valley below. The gardens are something that you would expect to pay to visit. When we arrived we took a dip in the pool, water was warm! Then we shared some wine with the friendly and inspiring hosts. The meal was extra but well worth it for a taste of French cuisine and lots of local wine. The also have the cutest dog in the world, hippy!
Cons: Was a bit tricky to find the road but what can you expect in such an amazing location. Out only regret is that we only stayed one night, next time we will stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can't say enough about the property and our wonderful hosts. We truly enjoyed this incredible and romantic property. Our room, bed and bathroom was our favorite of all the places we stayed in France. It is a bit farther from some of the cute villages but well worth it. We only wish we had a week to stay here and unwind and unplug. We only had 2 night and wished we had at least 3. If we had it to do over again we would have booked 4 nights here. We sure hope to be able to go back. My husband was able to fly his drone here and the footage is so beautiful. He only crashed it once- LOL!
Cons: We didn't stay long enough. The location is a bit far from villages but makes a wonderful and private retreat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely accommodation. Great hosts. Fantastic dinner.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fabulous find and so much nicer than our usual hotel stop overs on the way to our skiing holiday. The owner was charming and showed us his fabulous home which is full of amazing furniture and collectibles. The beds were very comfortable. Would be even better in the summer when you could take advantage of sitting on the terrace and looking over the beautiful gardens. The owner was very gracious about us arriving slightly later than planned even though we had ordered dinner. A very tasty three course meal for euro 22 accompanied by local red wine (18 euro) were very welcome after a full days driving. The breakfast was just as good - homemade yoghurt, fruit, croissants, boiled egg, ham, cheese, jams etc. What more could you want. All in all a fab find and somewhere we would hope to return
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had the family room and it was spacious with chairs and a couch. A very comfortable room, where you could spend time if the weather gets bad or you need a break from travelling. We could have spend a few days there. The bathroom is gigantic. Nice big screen tv, comfortable beds with enough pillows and a desk. A very big veranda is right infront of the room with tables and chairs and couches on the patio. Nice view into the big garden. The breakfast was fantastic. Delicious yoguhrt, a fresh fruitsalad, a croissant and bread with marmalade, a boiled egg, ham and cheese. Good value for money. We recommend this B&B.
Cons: In summer it might get hot, there is a train going by behind the house and if the windows are opened you will hear it. This place has no airconditioning.

Pros: Very nice accomodation with pool and garden. Great breakfast and hospitallity of the family. The location was perfect in a very pretty landscape. We enjoyed the room and bed. Everything was super great!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The outdoor seating and swimming pool was also excellent and relaxing. The location is quite central to Beaujolais wineries and towns and in a lovely rural setting.
Cons: We booked the family rooms for 4 adults which consisted of a large double bedroom and then a small sitting room converted to a double bedroom via a fold-out couch. This second room was small and meant that we had no common sitting area for the 4 adults except outside. That was ok as, fortunately, the weather was good but would not recommend the family rooms for 4 adults. (the photos showed a sitting room which was assumed to be part of the arrangement and not one of the bedrooms)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, facilities and kindness of the hosts. They contacted us to explain the route, received us on time, made the room comfortable and indicated (and drove us there) great wine producers in the region. We also found out that the start line of the Beaujolais marathon is 500m from his place which makes it a perfect lodging if you’re running it this year.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was very welcoming & couldn’t do enough to help.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very warm welcome, very comfortable and quiet room, great value and charming town less than 10 mn walk from the B&B
Cons: Nothing I can think of
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family and wonderful hosts, made us very welcome. Great place to stay as a base in the Beaujolais region, an ideal location to explore the surrounding sights & villages. Spacious accommodation with secure parking.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The reception was very good. The owner phoned to reserve a meal locally which was exceptional. The cat was also amazing and really friendly! It was very peaceful and calm.
Cons: Breakfast was included but this we found was disappointingly sparce. There was ample juice, butter, milk but only biscuits. The owner explained that we could walk to the village and get croissants and bread - which we did and they were delicious, but had we been wanting to get away early in the morning this would not have been convenient.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stopover to and from the Mediterranean Sea. Quietly located not too far from the motorway. In a beautiful village in the Beaujolais region.
Cons: The “maitre” in the restaurant was quite pushy recommending the set menu. Didn’t seem to appreciate a la carte orders.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Rose was amazing! We picked Julienas mainly because it was a good stopping point on the way to the south coast. But we were incredibly lucky that not only did we find a beautiful village, but La Rose was unbelievably wonderful. Christine was a warm, helpful and generally lovely host. The pool was perfect for our two kids--the view from the pool terrace is gorgeous, surrounded by vineyards and general beauty. If our kids weren't with us, it would have felt like we were on our honeymoon. Delicious food from a first class chef in the restaurant. It was that great!!!! Many stars from us!
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Decent room in a nice hotel. Bathroom in the room was somewhat strange.
Cons: Very disappointed with the restaurant. The food was overpowered by dressing and strong olive oil.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it. Location was perfect just a bit difficult for the SatNav to find! but well worth the difficulty. Staff were all very attentive and friendly try your French but English was not a problem.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great environment. Wonderful view. Hotel wasn't fully booked, so I got upgraded for free, without asking. :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful hotel, lovely hosts, excellent food wine and ambiance
Cons: Nothing apart from Tuesday all bars and shops closed but did not affect us
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and staff are very nice. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful.
Cons: The shower tub is quite slippery so be cautious, but the bath was nice despite that. Don’t bother with the breakfast, every thing beyond the basic rolls, yogurt and coffee is an extra. Dinner was okay but several execution mistakes (tough braised chicken, indifferent vegetables) Not worth the time and price.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It had been for many years as we were not sattisfied with the set menu last time. Regret to have not returned earlier. The hotel did major improvements both in the rooms and the restaurants. Rooms are clean, beds are large and comfortable and the AC works well and is silent. Good choice from the menu, good food and very reasonable price setting. We will gladly come back.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcoming little hotel in the heart of the vineyards. Excellent quality restaurant and comfortable modern rooms

Pros: Unique country mansion complete with winery and vineyard. Charming staff with knowledge of region and winemaking who took great pride and care in the sale of the local vintage! Copious breakfast. Close to Michelin recommended restaurant for dinner.
Cons: The property is still in the course of development and will in time be subject to finishing touches in terms of decor, telecoms, TV and tea/coffee making facilities!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chateau de Bellevue is one of the most memorable places I've ever stayed in. I was lucky enough to be the only person staying at the Chateau for the evening I was there, so Anna very kindly upgraded my room for no extra charge. She was kind enough to show me all of the areas for winemaking including the cellar, and she explained the various methods they use to produce both light or more structured variations of Beaujolais. My room was fantastic with a really comfortable bed, loads of space and a large bathroom. There was a lovely balcony with a great view of the garden and the countryside beyond. I highly recommend walking around the huge garden to see the magnificent view towards the Alps. Most of the famous Beaujolais villages are a 10/15 minute drive away (e.g. Fleurie, Regnie, Beaujeu etc). You can find restaurants in the nearby villages, I visited one in Thoissey next to the river Saone. The continental breakfast at the Chateau was also very good. Overall it was a great experience.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the decor and natural light in our room added to the ambiance. The views from the rooms are spectacular. The staff are kind and attentive, but not overbearing. We would absolutely stay again!
Cons: There is no air conditioning, and a fan was not available. This was tough for our summer stay, though it does cool down quite a bit at night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: XIX century chateau, placed in very nice area of Beaujolais, very friendly and helpful staff. we have very much enjoyed the stay, including the tour of the caves and wine tasting.
7.0 Good
Pros: The outside of the castle
Cons: The room, utilities, decorations, didn’t meet expectations
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful accommodation, room facilities and grounds were more than we were expecting, as was the friendliness of our host and their hospitality. Location was only a few minutes out of town, which was perfect as you need a car to get anywhere around Beaujolais anyway.
Cons: After arriving we realised our room didn't have air conditioning - our mistake not looking closely at the room description. We managed without but others may find this to be an issue.

Pros: Lovely welcoming staff, room clean and had everything we needed. Meal was absolutely fabulous.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The first rooms we were shown had an upstair bedroom . This was corrected right away. The new rooms were much better from having the old charm and conveniently located.
Cons: The towels were very old and thin. Inside furnishing was very outdated (from the 70's). Also, an outdoor furniture was used inside. It was good that we just stayed one night.
7.0 Good
Cons: The split level rooms with the sleeping area upstairs had a Airco unit downstairs. Result: freezing living area and very hot and stuffy sleeping area. Very bad design. A circulating ceiling fan would have helped
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the perfect setting for a hotel. Excellent staff, superb food and wine, lovely rooms, what could be better.
Cons: All was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property is absolutely gorgeous with the gardens and the wine grove walk. We also loved the on-site winery and all the spa amenities! Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice little patio looking at the pool. We sat outside and and had a nice glass of wine outside.
Cons: the air conditioning works great downstairs but up in the loft bedroom it was very warm. It would be great if a fan was a available!
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice gardens and attractive property. Lovely swimming pool which I am sure would be nice in the Summer.
Cons: Rooms outside of chateau are not in keeping with rest of château style and I find it expensive for what it is. Breakfast is adequate but again not amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location for a wine tour of Beaujolais. Excellent breakfast. The wine tasting and shop. Excellent wines. Walking through the vineyards and gardens.
Cons: Bed was in the upper loft of the room. As a result, it was a bit warm to sleep in despite turning the AC downstairs. The loft needs a separate small AC unit.
6.8 Good
Pros: The Chateau is magnificent as are the grounds. It is not far from the motorway.
Cons: We arrived at reception and before I could say bonjour we were asked if we were staying for dinner by a stern faced receptionist who couldnt or refused to speak English. This did not set a good tone for our visit. Dinner and especially breakfast were not up to, in my opinion, what I had been led to believe by other reviewers. Breakfast was extremly average with no replenishment of dishes. Strangly whilst there was bread there was no baguette.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Outdoor heated pool Grounds are spectacular with vineyards Food in restaurant great
Cons: Room felt cramped, for the price Toilet needed to be flushed multiple times Possible to pay 25% less if you pay at last minute
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was very good.
Cons: The booking facilities did not enable us to request the location of the rooms.
