Pros: Good location. Lovely host. She took the time to show us on the map all the places we could eat at. Simple & clean. No heat pump, but there were plenty heaters to keep us toasty. The shower is amazing!!!! Also, dog friendly is a bonus! Would definitely stay here again :) Thank you for having us.
Cons: the bathroom layout - water went everywhere when we had a shower. Easy enough to wipe but would be nice to not have to worry about that! Still loved the shower head - has so many spray options.

Pros: Fantastic location; a short journey from both Queenstown and Wanaka and surrounding areas. Friendly owner and extremely welcoming. Having my dog with me wasn't a problem, he was able to run about off-lead, and he even got to meet some new friends ;)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was pre-warmed, which when you arrive to minus zero weather, is always a nice touch! The host gave us a voucher for dinner and recommendations too, which was a cool bonus we weren't expecting (If you are staying here, definitely check out the Mexican place in the mall, some of the best I've ever had!). The room was warm, comfortable and private. We had a spa bath which was amazing after a long day of work and driving! I would not hesitate to stay here again. The bed was comfy with plenty of blankets, and the room stayed warm all night. We were very surprised to walk out of our room on Sunday and discover it was -4 and our car was iced over! The carpet was soft and plush, the fridge had enough room for our weekend snacks.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful setting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near central Cromwell. 5 stags restaurant on site.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds were very comfortable, facility new and very clean, staff very nice and helpful, the room was large and it allowed each of us plenty of space. I thought the price was very good.
Cons: I was expecting a secluded place and instead it was located close to supermarket/mall kind of buildings.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Space within the room - something you rarely see these days - as they say in NZ ' room to swing a cat'! Location great i.e. central to most facilities in Cromwell.
Cons: I stayed in this hotel when it was BRAND new over 30 years ago - the interior woodwork and trim is exactly as it was then i.e. lacquered natural timber but it has had so many bumps and bruises over the years and they show. Time for a major reno I think as it is the only large licensed accommodation premises in the town. Perhaps too costly and pays well as it is. It is probably priced accordingly though
7.5 Good
Pros: Roomy and quiet
Cons: Quite dated, needs a freshen up. Need key access from outside where your car is parked.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Would of liked a continental breakfast or buffet, because the food we had wasn’t that good . Especially for the price we paid . Small servings , 2 very small sausages, over cooked , big plate of cold porridge with a blob of fruit in middle .still cold after sending back to reheat . Wasn’t good at all
7.5 Good
Cons: The room was probably too hot
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Meals and general facilities. New room renovations.
Cons: Nothing stood out
