Pros: Absolutely stunning resort in a stunning area. Highly recommend to explore this part of China, the panda base and irrigation area as well as QC mountain are spectacular. Very unique two bedroom villa, with outdoor showers. Very beautiful grounds, magical at night time when lit up, and lush in daytime. The bath salts and toiletries were heavenly, but strangely not for sale even at the spa or store. That seems to be an oversight. I like how they have full size toiletries in ceramic containers rather than tiny disposable plastic like most hotels, as that is much better for the environment. We stayed here so that we could get a early start on the nearby panda base. The pandas are most active early in the morning. Do the volunteer experience, just book directly at the panda base. It starts early FYI. Nice surprise was that this whole region is spectacular. Make sure to do a tour of the mountain and nearby irrigation system area. You need to do a tour to get a appreciation of the spectacular history and engineering marvel, but even just enjoying the fresh air and amazing scenery and photography is worthwhile. We had Johnson Wang at China Discovery arrange this, excellent service and a fraction of the price hotel wanted.
Cons: I was surprised that a resort that caters to foreigners had such limited English speaking staff. It was particularly disappointing that the front staff had zero knowledge of the nearby ancient town, which is even posted on the large cartoon poster of the handful of local major sites in the area in their hallway. That town is pretty disappointing by the way so I’d skip it if I were you. We arranged for the taxis to take us there and wait for us, and this is a good idea if you still decide Go because taxis seem to be few and far between. The price point is extremely high compared to even five star hotel chains such as the Saint Regis, Fairmont etc in nearby Chengdu. Similarly, the spa and restaurants were nosebleed prices, even compared to the US where in general hotel prices are about 3 to 4 times higher than in central China. I wonder if that is why the common areas has seemed strangely empty. The Booking.com website had said that there was a washer and dryer, but there isn’t. Only expensive laundry service. We also had a strange infestation of flying ants in our villa, which were promptly taken care of. Of course, this may be expected in a tropical and lush resort, especially one that is supposed to be more environmental. We ate at the farm to fork restaurant. It was pretty disappointing. Tiny portions for insanely high prices. Not particularly tasty. Only two restaurants were open the two nights we were there.Breakfast was very plentiful and diverse. It was pretty good, but not remarkable.
Pros: 1. Beautiful and environment-conscious design and settings 2. Friendly and helpful staffs especially Jack from the experience management team 3. The secret dining concept
Cons: 1. Service is a bit of a hit and miss: we reserved the Thai restaurant two days in advance due to major local holiday season. Turned out the reservation was non-existent. They also forgot our wedding anniversary cake which was mentioned during initial reservation. We had to mention it at the end of the day. They accommodated all our wishes in the end but such petty mistakes shouldn’t happen in properties like Six Senses. 2. Indoor swimming pool temperature is too low for small children considering outside temperature is quite low and the doors are constantly open due to the human traffic. My son refused to get out of the pool even with blue lips and trembling body. They should at least increase the temperature for the children’s pool.
Pros: Vanilla who runs the experiences was amazing, so knowledgeable and helpful. We had an amazing time at the Panda Ark volunteering. Thank you Vanilla!! We also loved the pillows!
Pros: Thai restaurant is good choice
Pros: The best place to stay if you are going to climb Qin Chen mountain which is just next door to Six Senses. Totally peaceful relaxing resort with own huge indoor and outdoor pools, spa, three restaurants all excellent especially the Thai one, veggie garden, excellent breakfast.
Cons: Mosquitoes can be a nuisance probably because of the stagnant pools of water found outside some of the villas: maybe adding some fish in these areas of water would help.
Pros: Great location right next to the mountain Had some slight technical issues with the room that the manager, Edison, and his operations team including Mr Wang were incredibly helpful to sort out
Pros: A fantastic hotel in a lovely part of China. Sensational food in the Chinese Restaurant! A great hotel and we wished we had stayed longer. Wendy and Alex
Pros: The hotel is a hideaway from the business of the city center and it was wonderful and quiet. Facilities were fabulous and I would recommend staying more than 1 night!
Cons: The staff was not well-trained and prepared for the questions and needs that we had.
Pros: Beautifully designed network of rooms, villas, gardens, waterways, organic farm producing local vegetables. High quality finish and craftsmanship in the buildings. Great base for 3 outings: panda valley, beautiful hikes into the hills of Front and Back Mountains, and the Doujianyan Irrigation works ( a UNESCO world heritage site and a great experience). The staff were all enthusiastic, hardworking, and proactive. The food in its chinese restaurant was excellent, featuring bamboo shoots, unusual Regional vegetables grown on its organic farm.
Cons: Wish it were more affordable! Would have loved to stay longer and enjoyed more of the food, Spa, and mountain experience.

Pros: Two of the best nights sleep I've ever had the bed was so so comfortable and the air conditioning was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Complimentary bottles of water, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee was also provided. Very close to the mountain and the ancient town.
Cons: Though it's slighlty on the pricey side it's still a nice treat and you do get your money's worth. I'm not sure if many of the hotel staff spoke much English which made it a bit tricky but luckily it wasn't too much of an issue as my partner speaks Chinese . The breakfast was alright but I expected better considering the price of stay.
Pros: Great hotel, spa was basically a couple of pools. Restaurant couldnt decifer the memu and used google translate for everything
Cons: It was miles away from where google maps had it listed. It was difficult to do anything outside the hotel without using a taxi.
Pros: serene , nice exterior and interior decor , good service from staff esp Concierge
Pros: Location is good and most of staff are friendly.
Cons: We didn’t sleep well during the stay due to aircon. The aircon didn’t work during nights. Although we gave feedback to the staff and engineer came twice on day 2 the aircon failed again over night 2 and we were told by engineer he switched off the aircon when we asked why. Hence the overall experience was poor as we couldn’t rest well.
Pros: Hot spring. Facility in the room. Shuttle to qingchengshan
Cons: Extra fee for the child
Pros: Super géniale ! Hot spring is very good.
Pros: Overall the experience was nice. The staff was super kind, but no one could speak a word in English
Pros: Best service - private car for the mountain/ train station. Best breakfast in China so far. Rooms are new, clean and well designed
