Clean, nice rooms, decent breakfast Took more than an hour to get another room after a pipe broke and hot water and steam were pouring out.
it was 95 degrees outside & the air conditioner on the top floor (2nd) was not even on -- the switch was hard to dial (appeared broken) but fiddling with it was finally able to get it set & took 2 hours to cool down. Book a King room non- smoking & said they had us in a double Queen room - at least got that changed. A empty laundry bag found behind the sofa & garbage behind the nightstand. Minimal accessible electrical outlets & NO spoon or utensils to stir the one bag of coffee in the room - ice machine was broken -- very lumpy uncomfortable pillows-- cigarette smoke smell in hallways -- felt 'unsafe' - very disappointed ~ lots of other guests were of the construction working drinking gang.
I've stayed at Forrest Hills resort years ago and forgot how awesome it was. Especially in the Fall when all the leaves are changing. There were plenty of state parks and falls to explore within hours of the area. I recommend it.
When we walked into the building the smell was overpowering of musty and mold. Place looks like it needs repairs. My husband was unable to breathe, so we left immediately. They refunded us quickly.
I liked the fact that its deep into the Forest, adds on to the experience of camping and having a outdoors experience. Everything was about 11-15 miles from the resort. Everyone was nice and friendly. I can't live without my bonfire resort has one for each cabin ,homemade.I like the names they had for each cabin as well. They also have a kitchen/dinning area with couch ,stove and tv.Great if you want to make your own food.this you share everyone in lodge I did enjoy my stay overall and I'm also very honest about what I say so here it goes ,I will admit it was pricey for what it is. My room was comfy but had a weird smell, the landscape itself was beautiful but some of the lodges looked abandon from maintaiance.. I guess that is what makes it rustic. The outdoor jacuzzi's were filthy considering its summer time. I do know they are refurbishing some lodges..
Nothing Room was disgusting dirty burn holes everywhere...looks like they have used a vacuum cleaner or mop in room in years
Good a\c No elevators. Hard to climb stairs with luggage.
Many repairs were needed in our room. The tub drain was rotten out, the A/C controls were broken off, the couch had crusty stains on it, the pillows were stained, the pool had mold and slime all over the edges, musty smell in room. Pest control paper was placed in room, must be a bug issue. When reported musty smell in room, staff handed me an air freshener. The hallways and room were very dirty. Breakfast was advertised but minimal options were offered.
Everyone that I interacted with (staff and guests) was very friendly and professional. Felt very welcome. Will be back again. Only minor issue was that there is not an elevator, even though the hotel has only 2 floors. Not usually a problem but I've recently had a knee procedure which made it a little difficult to carry luggage up and down.

Very friendly staff
It met my need at the time. The it was over rated
It was clean. When we had an issue with the dog barking next door, the front desk promptly took care of it. I cannot think of anything I didn't like other than it is pet friendly but that is stated on the website I just didn't see it.
The staff there is very nice. When I showed them the mosquitoes I killed in the room, they changed the room immediately. The location is very good. It is just 2 minutes drive to Premium outlets. Too much mosquitoes. Appropriately the room is not used often.
Super friendly and efficient front desk and maid service. Great breakfast spread. Finicky key card system.
When I arrived, the employee was very nice and personable. Even though he was new and slower on the process, he was very pleasant to deal with. It was loud, & the walls are thin. It probably would be fine on week days. Upon departure, I had an issue that wasn't my fault & initially made to feel like I was lying about paying a fee I had already taken care of. Hang on to your receipt, just in case.
Great location and very nice staff. It was a little 'dated' but other than that it was fine.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the price was cheap, and the location was great! We would stay here again. The beds and pillows weren't comfortable. The free breakfast was basic and didn't offer any protein.
Nothing We had medical emergency and hotel charged even though we had just checked in 5 minutes earlier .
easy access and the staff were very nice the breakfast wasn't very well stocked. Minimal to say the least. Coffee, Dry Cereal, apples and 2 very small honey buns were all that was offered. I wouldnt rat the breakfast a 1 on a scale of 1-10
Convenient, McDonald's right across. Staff friendly, clean room. Would stay again. Very basic continental breakfast.
Clean room, and outdoor pool. Various things needed updating.
Close to event. Staff nice. Outdated. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.
I have stayed at this location before. It is close to the event I go to and everyone there is VERY nice and polite. I will continue to use this location as much as possible when I am in Dahlonega.
It was a pretty drive to get to the motel, set in the North GA mountains. Most light bulbs were burned out. Bathroom had hair and so did the vanity. Bed was very uncomfortable.
The room was great and the location was perfect. The motel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The coffee in he room was pretty good. The breakfast. A choice such as yogurt or hard boilled eggs auld have been nice.
Secluded and quiet location. Walking distance to McDonalds. No complaints and a good bargain compared to the major chain locations.
The bed was uneven and difficult to sleep on, the breakfast was terrible and the staff were rude.
Shower, beds, breakfast included No fruit at breakfast, pillows
Hotel was very clean. For us a great shower with tons of water pressure is amazing considering our stay was during a very cold rainy weekend. The breakfast was supposed to be open til 930. By 915 it was all put away on Sunday morning. Don't think you can sleep in if you want breakfast.
Close to the college and town square No laundry service
Visit ancient mounds in the area.
Hotel was great and the staff was more than helpful My business was pushed back and I only used 1 of the 5 days I had reserved the room. Due to price lines cancelation policy I was unable to receive a credit or refund. Lesson learned: don't use travel websites when booking hotels. Call the hotel directly because they are more likely to work with you.
Clerk very friendly when checking in. Room was great. Did not need any extra services. Clerk very friend;y when checking out. A oven/stove would have been nice but not needed. A channel listing would have been useful.
The location Rooms are old and need to be remodeled.
Ice machine and vending on second floor. There is a large available space. Lamps on all desks with outlets for electronic devices. There is no place to plug in a tablet or a phone. Sausage biscuits for breakfast would be nice. Easy to heat -- most people like them, at least in the South. No complaints
