Barb.... she was the manager on duty. She treated us with respect, took care of the room situation. She got us the room we reserved in the first place. The guy in the breakfast area, I believe his name is Jeff. He was badass, he talked friendly to us, gave us direction, cleared our plates, was quite the pleasure to talk with him.
As we walked in the door Donna the desk clerk looked at us like "great, here comes a couple of mexicans" and prceeded to be very rude to us.Reserved king/non smoking, because of our tiny dog she tells us we must take a queen/smoking. Room reeked of smoke so bad had to use my inhaler within minutes. Took a call to Steve, the G.M. to get room I booked. 2 tour busses show up at 11:00 at night and a herd of people talking and laughing loudly come down the hall. That lasted an hour. Next morning, said 2 tour busses of people are down in the breakfast area, no place to Sit, no food, 25 of them dancing in the doorway. Excuse me please. Waited over an hour before we could eat breakfast. We avoided the casino they had in the lobby because we did feel like seeing the counter girl. Also asked the hotel manager Lesley to give me a call and left my number. It's been 7 day's and I still haven't talked to her
The only slightly negative was parking. They couldn't guarantee we would have a spot if we got in later. We parked the car and left it. There appeared to be plenty of parking however.
The breakfast was good with a wide variety of foods. All of the staff that I talked with were professional, helpful, informative, and warm. The towels are out of this world scrumptious. The pet fee was a reasonable, one time charge.
The layout of this hotel is confusing and unattractive. There is no way that they can improve this that I can see. The floor of the room above mine was not carpeted (probably a pet room like mine.), so I heard every thump and bump of the person above me. Therefore, I did not sleep well.
Everything was great
Layout was strange - 3 buildings
