Pros: The house is amazing. So authentic that it feels like a different time from the past once you enter. The owner family are gentle and very caring. They did everything to make my stay a pleasure. They even upgraded my room for free. Breakfast was really good. Highly recommended
Cons: Metal worker very close by cobstant tapping from 7 in the morning until late into the evening.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful. Great option to stay the evening in Patan. Lovely old restored house. Only 20 minutes and 400 rupees to the airport. This is a great place to stay.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful traditional home with very helpful hosts. We stayed in the apartment and it was spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Location was great - a five minute walk from Patan Durbar Square, 25 minute drive Fromm Thamel and a 15 minute drive from the airport.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, beautiful and clean room. Bed even has heater attached which made the cold nights so warm to sleep in! Pradeep and his family are very caring people, and they made really good tea and breakfast. Pradeep even borrowed a scooter from his friend when I reached out to him for help as I was stuck somewhere in the rain at Kathmandu. Luckily I finally managed to get a taxi with a help from a lovely stranger before Pradeep has to ride in the rain to fetch me. Lucky! I’ll definitely come and stay again. Patan has so much to offer as compared to Kathmandu. The Durbar Square is full with culture and heritage values, the vendors are not pushy people, people are nice! Come to Patan and stay at Yamba Traditional Home!!
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After 2,5 weeks trekking in the Everest region the Yamba traditional Home was exactly what I need. Situated very close to the beautiful Patan Square, it was a comfortable tranquil place. Beautiful historic building, hot shower and a comfortable bed in a nicely decorated room. The host was very friendly and the hospitality was hearth warming.
Cons: I liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying here was absolutely wonderful. Not only is the home cosy and gorgeous, it is only a few short minutes from Patan's Durbar Square and art district. The host, Mr Pradeep, is exceptionally warm and welcoming. I plan to return to Patan and know I will stay here again, and for longer.

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were here just for one night. Owner and his family were absolutly great. Very kind and nice people. This is a sort of family hotel. There are i think 9 rooms (3 singles, 3 doubles and 3 mini apt). We booked a double and we got an apt for the same price. Room was huge. We didn't use the kitchen but it was perfectly working. Electricity worked fine and the bathroom is small but confortable. Warm water 24/7. Breackfast is good. Position in great, just a few minutes (walk) away from Durbar square. Well i guess there is nothing to say other than book it if you need to spend a night in Patan.

Pros: Rooms are smaller but good & comfortable.
Cons: No parking at all, the hotel is inside the street. Vehicle can’t be kept even for 5-10 minutes on waiting. It’s always guest should come down n wait for vehicle. No lift available so if u r hypertensive, heart patient or differently abled person this hotel is not at all for you. Not much food options. Room service staff were not much interested to cater so we had only 1 lunch on arrival day, rest all meals we went to opposite restaurant which was good indeed. 8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel architecture. Like a small paradise in Kathmandu. Very clean and spacious rooms. Lots of accessories/facilities in the room (bathtub, shower, shampoo, etc). Very nice breakfast with great selection of food. Food was very nice in the restaurant. Very close to the Airport. Very nice cocktails at the bar.
Cons: Most of the comments below are made bearing in mind the room price per night: The check in was not as good as expected since we were left waiting in the lobby for quite some time until the receptionist picks us up. We found better service in hotels at 1/3 of the price. The transport to the hotel was expensive (3 times as high as the local taxi) and I would expect it to be included in the room price since you pay so much money per night. The shampoo, conditioner were not of a good quality (harsh to the skin). The library could have been much better with more books, coffee books etc. It felt more like a way to fill a room rather than anything else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful property
Cons: Nothing. It was fantastic
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all very polite and helpful Rooms were clean
Cons: Menu choices in main restaurant and room service could be wider

Pros: The hotel is gorgeous, so rich in heritage. Food and drinks were really good, staff friendly and professional. I don't usually like yoga but decided to try the class there and was impressed - very good teacher/master.
Cons: I stayed in a junior suite. Bathroom fixtures need updating. Lighting could be better and there was no full length mirror.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The food can be better. There should be more vegetarian options.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Service was exceptional. The staff was very attentive and accomodating which was helpful when traveling with a child. Nice to have multiple restaurants on-site as well as a gym, yoga studio and shops. There is also a hotel dog, Maya, who was very friendly and sweet, and made us feel homesick (in a good way).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room service and dinner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautifully presented. A little oasis in the heart of the city and the staff were excellent.

Pros: Location is great and the price is cheap
Cons: Our room was very damp, which wasn’t really nice to stay in. It was not clean, with spiders in the corners of the bathroom and the floor not properly swiped. Try to get a room on the upper floors. The furniture has clearly seen better days with many parts being loose or quick fixed (see the Glas leaning on the sink)

Pros: The location is just in the middle of Thamel. All of the staffs are very helpful and responsive. We were about to check out one morning leaving to Chitwan, and then without we requested before, a staff knocked our room before 6AM offering help to take all the luggages down. They serve free tea and coffee in the reception area whenever you need them. The breakfast was pretty good as well. The staffs are well behaved. I would definitely come again.
Cons: There is no lift but still it has been mentioned in description so blaming them would not be appropriate. If the owner is reading this review, then I would love to request him to place a lift in the hotel as this is the only thing I felt missing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is central and in a beautiful surrounding. The owner and his family are really friendly and helpful for everything! Beds are comfortable and rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast is abundant and different everyday. I can only recommend it ;)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in one of the best locations in Patan, in front of a beautiful artificial lake. We had an amazing breakfast every day. We tasted different traditional dishes and had time to relax in the terrace. But the best part was the staff. We were in Nepal's for the wedding of a friend. The hotel's owner and his daughters were super helpful pointing us to places where we could buy the traditional dresses, setting them up for us, calling reliable taxies, and so on. On the last day, we were leaving for Pokhara but there was a general strike in the city. The staff stayed up late and woke up early in the morning to help us avoid the strike and get our plane! Overall, they helped us have a great experience in Nepal and we'll definitely stay in the same hotel when we come back.

Pros: View from the terrace, size and comfort of the room. Best of all the genuine helpfulness and kind hospitality of the staff especially Shailendra..very thoughtful and helps to arrange everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable!
Cons: Lot of stairs...keeps you fit though!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location in the cultural center, with a renovated, clean pond and a stupa in front, still quiet, is probably one of the best in Patan. The breakfast on the roof terrace was perfect, in addition to a variaty of standard offers (muesly, eggs any style...) there were everyday different delicious Newari specialities to taste. The hosts are really welcoming and ready to help. One feels really like home.
9.5 Excellent

Cons: As it was January, the rooms were a little cold, however my hosts soon found me an electric heater which solved the problem

Pros: Homely feel, perfect position, excellent wifi and owner couldn’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend to everyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with family who went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The room is Newari style, with a great bed, beautiful furnishings and was spotless. The architect and owners have spent a few years redesigning the layout and in the finishing touches so each room is unique. Add to this is the beautiful rooftop where we spent most of our mornings and evenings, and meeting the owners who were so friendly, well-travelled and welcoming. Super impressed and touched they made me and my friends an Nepali style breakfast puri and aloo when they could have just said no and charged us nothing for the hassle and trouble. This is what exceptional service means. Thanks you Mr. prem for everything
Cons: Nothings,It exceeded my expectations

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was really nice, good location to explore Thamel but in calm street. Clean and beautiful home.
Cons: The room was really tiny and there are no comfortable common spaces where one could spend some time. The roof terrace was lacking tables under shade, it is a new hotel so I guess they will figure out step by step. Also, the room had a window that could not be closed on the side of the inner courtyard, so when people are staying by the reception you can hear everything and mosquitoes can enter.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Building Design and the detail ornament in Newari Culture. Clean and calm. The owner and family very kindly. They have rooftop with beautiful flower and beautiful view. You feel like a home.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean, beautiful, the interior is in traditional Nepali style. There are rooms with a kitchen which is rare for Tamel. In the kitchen, everything you need to cook. The bathroom is very clean, there is always hot water. On the roof there are many comfortable places for rest. The hotel exceeded all my expectations.
Cons: Nothing bad, I liked everything!

It is beautifully decorated and a stone's throw away from the main sight, Boudha Stupa. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, they made you feel like a royal. Nothing was too much for them. The room (I got upgraded to the heritage room) was huge and had spacious bathroom with the best shower I have ever had in Nepal. I will definitely be back!

Pros: All was very good ! Wonderful terrace and welcoming fruit in the room !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are amazing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great break fast comfortable room free shuttle services to airport.
Cons: When I booked a spa treatment I asked for reflexology and hand massage instead the practioner did limbs and hardly touched my feet or hands. Was charged a fair amount 3000 nr for 40 minutes. Was not very happy about that. The massage was average and I found the girl to be quite rough. I think hotel spa staff should listen closely to what customer wants and staff should be skilled at providing said services. The hotel was in a great location... quiet at night; fantastic breakfast and chef accomadated my keto friendly diet. Free transportation to airport with bookings.com was nice ; however had to remind them as they asked for money for that service. Overall a nice hotel; disappointed with spa treatment.

Cons: Noisy street outside, unfortunately this is the case everywhere in Kathmandu! Also, it’s not really in Thamel but down a road a good 10-15 minute walk. The area is OK with a few uninspiring cafes, but it’s not the area full of bars, restaurants and shops
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Not enough sockets at convenient location in the room for charging devices. Wifi not great.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great value for your money. A bit far from thamel which does not translate to quiet place.

Cons: Cab driver was not good. Always insisted foecextra money
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool, service
Cons: The coffee
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff was very nive and helpful but unfortunatelly they could not address and resolve the exisitng problems as well as those arising from the lack of adequate management .
Cons: The price per night was on a very high end ($200 per night) but the room I finally stayed in on the fifth floor (had to change the first room due to the drilling and hammering noise in the walls) had a very worn out feel, with a very ugly view of construction site and accompanied by the construction noise bellow my windows that lasted until after midnight and wouldnt stop until several interventions; almost non existing wi-fi so I couldnt work in the room at all; got stuck in elevators twice due to power outage as clery no generators in the hotel; dirty mugs in the room; a very late cleaning service for the room and for which I finally had to ask for etc. etc. In my opinion, hotel was not able to provide the quality of the stay for the price they charges - it advertises itself as a conference centre but it was not able to properly function when in a full capacity or to provide the quality of not just a room but even of some basic elements - the hotel toilets were most of the time not a pritty site and lacking main elements like toilet and hand paper. And finally, they were not able to accommodate my leaving early due to the family emergency and still charged me for the two nights that I couldnt use. Staff was very nice and polite and tried to compensate for the lack of overall good management of the hotel by appologising all the time and offering small discounts but unfortunately, they were not able to provide timely and satisfactory solutions and services for the overall stay.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Great staff - friendly, warm and extra helpful Breakfast and dinner buffets were good - huge variety
Cons: Air quality is a big problem. Perhaps the HVAC system needs attention; maybe the filters need changing... The odors and staleness of the air is hard to deal with. Seeps into everything. I had to deep clean everything to remove the odors after I got home. It may even have health consequences as the odors smell like mold. The cleaning and polishing solutions used in the hotel seem to be based on harsh and aggressive smelling chemicals. It was overpowering and does not create a pleasant and restful environment. Or maybe the products were quite ordinary and the smells would not have been a problem if the HVAC was efficient and moved and refreshed the indoor air rapidly. Couldn't tell which...

Pros: I enjoyed the room in a quiet, clean and well located place. The staff is friendly, breakfast is good and hearty. Guest house is near Sechen monastry and 5mn from the big stupa.

Pros: Breakfast was good, staff was hospitable and ambiance really positive
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fine simple and safe accommodation which i found to be clean but budget- fine if you don't mind something simple and are looking for a cheap place to stay. Easy walk to stupa around 10mins
Cons: Be careful with the eftpos machine: although it lost connection when i was paying and we tried many times, i later found 3 charges to my card. Bodhi Guesthouse ensured the money was returned to me when i contacted them and all is fine but i recommend paying cash or checking your bank statement to ensure no unexpected charges

Pros: The hotel is located in Thamel, with their own restaurant to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast is continental with eggs, bacon, and sausages etc. The breakfast will be packed for you if your flight is on early morning. Staff team are all professional and very helpful. Their communication is excellent and they always response their guests requests promptly. I booked superior suite, the hotel upgraded my room to even bigger one (it looks like deluxe family suite or executive suite). The room is huge (bathroom 10sqm, sitting area 10sqm, and sleeping area 30sqm around). The room size, layout, furniture, bedding, and cleaning are perfect for me and are the ones that I wanted. I enjoyed the room. Thank you Hotel Buddy!

Pros: The behaviour of their stuff is just outstanding. So much co operative, feels like staying in home. Along with the owner they all become as my family. Another facility i like most they provide 24 hrs milk coffee, black coffee, milk tea complimentary, this is a five star facility. Buffet breakfast was much more than worth, i want to say they are not full business minded. It was a memorable stay with them. Wish them all the best :)
Cons: Location of the hotel is little far from thamel

Pros: Came to Dom after I got sick The crew here took care of me so well. Raj the manager was an angel. They prepared food I needed, bring me the meds and did whatever they can to make sure I’m well and getting better. So glad I came here! ❤️
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The pickup from the airport didn't happen. For travelling for the first time, would be nice to be picked up, knowing its all safe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very good, but the best without any doubt was the treatment received, everyone was very kind and they helped us a lot, we also booked our trekking in pokhara and the tours in Kathmandu with Mr Raj, who works for the hotel, and we were very satisfied with the experience. Additionally, breakfast is quite varied and is a buffet. Coffee 24 hours. The day we left we were treated as closed friends and we were even offered a room for stay the evening since our flight was due to depart at 2 am. I would come back to the same hotel If came to Nepal again. Pretty close to thamel for those who are interested, for me it s quite touristic and everything is much more expensive.
Cons: I can't say anything, we booked a room for a day seems our plan was first to fly to pokhara and when we came back to Kathmandu we stayed in the same hotel seems we really liked it. The room they gave us then was better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, all so friendly, great breakfasts.
Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent.

Pros: Best location In Kathmandu.. staff is friendly and caring and know your preferences for your drinks and food. Shower is awesome! Room has balcony and a/c is icy cold! After trek they hold our luggage until we returned.. In the middle of Thamel and not noisy at all when it is time to sleep!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location, beautiful rooms and options to add on within the rooms. Value was amazing for the quality of experience that we got from the stay.
Cons: We had pre arranged an airport pick up with the hotel through booking.com. We flew from Pokhara to Kathmandu and were left standing outside for just under an hour and had to get our own taxi as there was no evidence of the pick up. Mentioned it to the hotel and they said that he was there waiting for us and decided to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food at a great price! Staff is very friendly . Chain restaurant that doesn't feel like a chain! room is amazing decoration
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location. Nicely themed rooms.
Cons: Additional 3.5% charge while paying by Cards. Actual food served is different from what is mentioned in Menu. Staff are more concerned about charging guests rather than looking after their needs. Was served a rotten spaghetti dish for dinner on 15th June - the staff didn't show any regret other than not charging for the dish. No complaint register was maintained. The suggestion box was located far away from the reception and was made accessible only after repeated request.

Pros: Great stay, would recommend to others. “Everything’s great, exceeding our expectations— great location, value for money. What I found in fact was the room is quite spacious. It is clean, I like the hot shower. Wi-Fi worked well. The home-stay was well presented, and the views from the rooftop terrace were great. The staff were really helpful and happy to assist us with anything we needed, the service was amazing. Most of the food was more traditional Nepali, but it was pretty good. And the momos were delicious! Thanks for a great stay, would recommend to others”
Cons: Every thing excellent.

Pros: Immaculate property owned by a lovely Nepali family. Very clean, and they have a blessed very friendly puppy if you ever feel like you need a companion on a quiet evening. Lots of small shops nearby. The rooftop patio has one of the best views of Kathmandu where you can witness both sunrise and sunset, which has got to be my favourite feature. The private parking was very useful for me as a traveling motorcyclist. This place is the perfect balance between affordability and quality for a budget conscious backpacker. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I would love to stay again
Cons: For the price, can't complain at all. I actually think it's too cheap!
