It’s central location was great, particularly for the Saturday market. Our room on the top floor was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good.
No lift so rooms on the upper floors wouldn’t be suitable for all.
We stayed for one night only as we were travelling but was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, the outside didn’t look anything more than a cafe and we were a little hesitant, but we stayed in the family room on the 4th floor, the room was spacious even with 4 in the room, was exceptionally clean and a nice neutral decor. The position was also good with plenty of shops and places to eat within a short walking distance.
That you couldn’t check in until 5 as the hotel/cafe is actually closed until this time and then closes again at 9. Also the room being on the 4th means a lot of stairs to go up with luggage and no lift.
Morning coffee at the cafe downstairs. Location in centre at walking distance from free parking.
First floor was noisy, market is built up from 6 o clock onwards in the early morning. We were relocated to 3rd floor, which was very nice!
This is a small town centre hotel, basically a bar/restaurant with rooms, but nicely renovated. The rooms are very tastefully and imaginatively decorated, as is the bar/breakfast area. Comfy beds, not too noisy, clean, and everything worked ok. Staff were exceptionally helpful, our late arrival was very efficiently dealt with as was our request for bike storage. The breakfast was excellent, especially the croissants!
Like a lot of refurbished older properties the bathroom looked rather tired, new decor is cheaper than a new bathroom... The lamps over the bed were poorly positioned so that it wasn't easy to sit and read in bed. The price is on the high side for this standard of hotel.
Good location - easy access after check-in time - we were on a late ferry
Beds creaked a bit!
