Helpful staff, well served and tasty breakfast buffet, pool was fun for our youngest traveler Drove past the entrance to the hotel in the dark. elevator is slow - but it does work.
Room and entire hotel was very clean and updated. The breakfast included with the stay was one of the nicest complementary breakfasts that I have experienced. It would have been nice to have a hot tub in the pool area.
Great location. Bit too many locals hanging out at breakfast
The room was very clean. It is so nice, I thought we were in a brand new hotel. We loved the bed, my wife even tried to figure out where to buy the pillows provided, she loved them that much. Who knew there is a Holiday Inn Collection! Everything was great.
Housekeeping staff may need additional training and/or supervision. Room not cleaned at all one day, had to ask for coffee K-cups and cups every day. Close to interstate but actual access to property a bit convoluted.
Clean Hotel, Breakfast Great Ten dollars deposit when I got there which I didn't get back.
The bathroom was very nice, and at the front desk was efficient and friendly!
Our room & bathroom, a standard King, were spacious & clean except for commonly overlooked areas (edges under the bed & behind the fridge). Breakfast was as expected. Our room was right above the pool & noise level was OK even with roudy teens below. The wifi code had to be re-entered every few hours. In an age where free wifi is ubiquitous, I question the need for such onerous restrictions. The pool didn't open until 10 a.m. which is really late compared to most hotels.

Clean, lots of parking, excellent breakfast. Everyone got a wakeup call at 4am, due to a glitch in the phone system. That was a real downer.
I have stayed here before, am a IHG gold member and overall have been real happy with all of the branded hotels in this chain the bathroom was dirty, there were hairs left over in the tub, tub walls, sink , etc.. worst experience i have ever had at a holiday inn !!!!
The staff was very helpful.
We needed a room during a very busy weekend. Although we waited till the last moment, they accommodated us and we're very concerned and helpful doing so. The room, staff and whole experience far exceeded our expectations.
Breakfast!!! Bathroom were a Little inconvenient
Friendly staff, clean room, not far from Downtown. Under construction in some areas, noise in room next door but staff quickly addressed the issue.
Location to expressway was great. the accommodations were very good. staff was a absent for a long period during the late night and they didn't have the extra things they advertised to have (like toothpaste, deodorant, razors) so don't forget those things at home because they won't be able to accommodate you
clean rooms and great breakfast Check out is at 11:00 but housekeeping knocks and came in at 8:30am. Not happy
The nighttime front desk lady (can;t remember her name) was awesome. The lady that takes care of the morning breakfast area was such a delight to our 4 year old, she went out of her way to make friends with him. The housecleaning crew left something to be desired, I had to ask the front desk to inform the crew that they missed cleaning my room even though the daily cleaning list showed they had.
We were pleasantly surprise by this hotel. Clean and quiet.
Very clean, nice room, nice breakfast options Everything was good
The room & the location The staff. I never got my wake up call!! When I went to check out and let them know I was not happy about the wake up call there was no one to be found. I sent and email to the GM of the hotel and he never responded.

excellent experience! The rooms were clean, the pool was in great working condition. The breakfast was perfect. Will use again! No
Breakfast and friendly atmosphere Everything was okay
I don't love the cops knocking on my door at 8:30 am and making my fiancee get up to show what he's wearing. It's the ghetto. Run.
just okay Extremely old building, needs upgrading
Location was phenomenal. Near everywhere that mattered to me. The hotel was very quiet. Staff were good. Not much conversation with them. The room needed some updates. It wasn't DIRTY but it was lack luster. The corner lamp shade had stains on it. Not sure if cleaning tried wiping them down at one time or if the room flooded at some point. BUY again, for what I paid it was top of the line. I would stay there again if the chance came up and the price was right.
I liked that they offered a nice breakfast with our stay. The beds were nice and big. The water to shower was cold, had almost NO hot water. Others staying on the same floor were so loud at 3:00 in the morning I called up to the front desk and it appeared there were several other complaints. After they finally stopped the loud conversation, they spent the next hour opening and letting the door slam. Needles to say we didn't slee well
The breakfast was good. The staff was congenial. The location was great. It was pretty quiet. The elevator is quite a distance from the rooms, and the stairs are hard to locate. The stairwells were dingy and dirty. My air conditioner barely kept the room cool even when it was on high and set at the coldest setting.
The room was very comfortable There was no microwave in the room
Room's carpet were damp all the time. Bed sheets were damp all the time. Carpets were not clean - step into the bath tub and just look at the dirt and hair that would come off the bottom of your feet. And this is after wearing socks and shoes.
Great children's amenities beyond the pool, ping pong, toddler playground and arcade. Kept children of all ages happy on a rainy afternoon. Central areas were showing age and breakfast was mediocre.
We stayed here for two days for a convention. The hotel was about 15-20 minutes away from it, which wasn't very nice, but it was also booked two weeks before the convention. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was nice. I left a pillow there and called about it the day after I left, and I received it 4 days later. Overall it was a good hotel and I would consider staying there again. The breakfast that was included was questionable and the shower heads were very low, I'm 5'10" and I couldn't get my head under it without having to bend down. However, these are both minor things and there's tons of other food choices in the area. I would still happily stay here again.
Very close to the Lansing center and lots of restaurants. Loved having a breakfast and the pool and hot tub were great!
Wonderful breakfast! Friiendly staff and enjoyed the stay very much! Liked everything!
My son had a basketball tournament here in town for the weekend and our stay was great. Very close to all his games, close to all restaurants and the highway.
I used to stay at this facility frequently when it was a Hampton Inn (about a year ago or so). I didn't realize that ownership changed and they were now a Comfort Inn. I found them through Kayak and I'm glad I did! The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I didn't take advantage of the fitness area, pool, or breakfast, but I know they were all there for me. I'll be back! It's located near an interstate freeway and I was a little afraid that the room might be noisy, but it wasn't bad at all. About the only complaint I can note is that the wired internet cable they provided didn't work (the wall jack just had a hole in it, with nothing for the cable to connect to). The wireless access was free; they provided credentials on the outside of the holder for the room keys; it worked great - so it was no big deal.
Staff was friendly
Comfortable bedding, microwave and fridge in room, queen beds rather than just doubles. Plenty of parking Under staffed, swimming pool was down for maintenance, water literally came up the sink drain and filled the bathroom sink at 11pm making extreme noise. If there was another hotel within 10 miles, would not have stayed here.
Nothing good Pool has been closed for a long time. Staff never cleaned room. No new towels. Front desk staff very unprofessional and untrained.. was denied the $30 discount because I booked my room through. Kayak.
Easy to find, close to my event, Valet was very professional, nice, helpful, friendly This hotel was a very big disappointment compared to the Radisson in Kalamazoo. It is old, out of date, run down and expensive for the quality of stay When I commented to the staff they agreed and said the were thinking of updating
Co-location with University Club facilities nice. U-Club dining good, but bar closes early if in need of late night, and a very long and confusing walk from the hotel. U-Club health facility appeared nice, but they would not allow under 18, even with a parent, despite hotel telling us it was acceptable. We were there in winter, so no pool available, but it appeared lovely assuming East Lansing will ever thaw out. One of the worst hotel beds ever. Virtually no water pressure for shower. Leak (repaired) in ceiling. Dated decor and musty smell. They claim a proposed redo is in progress and it appeared to be addressing some of the above concerns
Close to campus Bed was very hard.
Myself and a lot of other people were in the bar area. The man came out and said we close at 10 y'all need to leave. The other guest were upset as well.
The upgrade to a deluxe room at no charge, the complimentary cocktails, the very nice hot breakfast, and clean room were all pluses.
Pool, Hot Tub, Bar, Clean Rooms, Nice bathroom area, Good continental breakfast Hot Tub water was a little nasty. Needs a Sauna
Overall stay was good and hotel room was clean. The breafast included was a better than a regular continental, more than just cereal and toast. The one thing we were unhappy about was that the beds were 2 doubles and not two queens as advertised.
Very good location close to MSU and friendly staff. Room is comfortable and availability of smoking rooms.
Location to my work place The people in the room next to me keep me up all night, extremely loud and didn't care about anything around them. Also the room smelled like stale smoke. Luckily I had febres to spray to cope. Breakfast was not fresh either.
Rooms dingy, sheets were damp, woken by construction work inside the hotel.
pool, location, convienence of access, ease of getting in and out pricing issues....mandatory "safe" fee which was not disclosed at check in and which iI did not want...
It was remodeled and they added a corridor around the the building so there were no outside rooms like there was originally.
location, price, staff, physical appearance of lobby and rooms got nothin'!
There was a door-key problem. The card key only worked for the room door and workout room. No external entry doors would open with the card key. The necessity of entering only though the lobby entrance was a large inconvenience and a pain in the ass.
We had a lovely suite with small kitchen and living area. It was spotless and well maintained. Nice breakfast included.
I like the two room suite, fridge, microwave, etc. Will think about returning with our 2 year old sometime. It's a good setup. Rate on booking.com was $90. Hotel charged me $110. Plastic cups, skinny bars of soap, skimpy towels could have been better.
Facilities and staff were great, the room was bigger than expected. bathroom was a bit tight. The heater.... every time it turned on, it was absurdly loud and impacted my wife and I sleeping well throughout the night.
Two Rooms, frig, two tvs, great breakfast made by a happy, friendly man who started my day out on such a positive note.
Very good value for the price. Did not hear noise from other guests while in our room and we were right by the evevator. We liked the hot cooked breakfast, much nicer than most hotels with a "hot breakfast" included. Liked the idea of the social hour with free drinks & appetizers. Rooms seemed a little outdated. Not as much variety for breakfast as other hotels if you didn't want the cooked breakfast choices and ran out of bacon and fruit an hour before breakfast ended.
The staff was friendly and the hot breakfast (which was a small upgrade charge) was excellent with very friendly and enjoyable kitchen staff.
Quality hotel. Very clean, large, nicely-decorated room. Good location, plenty of parking. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Guests having party, drinking, ALL afternoon on patio right under room, until at LEAST 12:30 A.M. Overnight front desk staff was completely unhelpful. Clerk clearly didn't care that us and our 3 year-old were being kept awake. Even when we complained at 12:30 A.M. about the noise, he brushed it off and did nothing to help. Otherwise, staff and hotel were excellent, but when the front-desk clerk sides down-plays guest complaints and sides with a bunch of drunks... we will NOT be staying here again.
Good location to MSU. VERY CLEAN, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom small but for the price you can't beat it.
Comfortable, good WiFi services, pleasant staff in the lobby. Strong stale cigarette smoke smell despite the fact that it was a non-smoking room. There was a toilet brush laying in the hallway. (Outside)
Clean and comfortable. Good continental breakfast included. Excellent location for our purposes. Easy on/off the interstate. Excellent value. No significant complaints.
Quiet location away from Grand River Ave while remaining a very drivable distance to Michigan State University. Excellent value.
relatively close to MSU campus Room was tiny, but comfortable
Everyhting was nice. the staff was polite. it was exactly what i would expect for that price.
Friendly staff. Very nice to my dog and welcoming. good coffee always available. quiet hotel
convenient too expensive

Check in and check out were quick and easy. Staff knew the area well when we needed a place to eat. Hop Cat!! Nothing.
The breakfast in the morning had a good selection of items. The hot items were hot and cold, cold. The fruit was delicious.
super clean and the breakfast was good. Hard to connect to the internet
It was clean and the staff helpful. It sounded like a Hurd of elephants were above us. Banging and stomping all night. Not able to get any sleep. Partying frat boys loud and drunk. Would not stay there again.
It was clean and the staff was great. They don't have shuttle service to the airport or The Kellogg Center or University. Not Good.
Limited Selection of TV channels
RMS were clean and comfortable Breakfast was so so
Gave us discount because of mix up Didn't have room that was booked.. no such room existed. Had to book a second room
This hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and had a wonderful continental breakfast that was more than expected The beds were so hard and made it difficult to sleep well.
I checked in quite late (after midnight) and the desk clerk knew who I was and was very courteous. I've stayed at this hotel several times, and every time I have, the staff has been exceptionally courteous and responsive. The bedsheets are very thin -- like gauze -- and I wonder if the hotel changes the sheets after every checkout. I've stayed at this hotel before, and once it looked as if the top sheet on my bed had been used as a bottom sheet.
Room was clean Bed was uncomfortable
The room was comfortable. Wireless Internet access (not included in the price) requires that you call TMobile to set up your own internet account. A nuisance if you just want to check your email.
The room had upgraded features It had a fly in the bathroom that did not want to leave/die
There were parts of the room that weren't vacumed & dusted.
Powdered creamer, no real breakfast
Location, very close to everything. Parking under hotel didn't work, mattress wasn't form, too soft. Noises during the night.
wonderful location and setting for the reason we were there. enjoyed proximity to campus and nearby restaurants, coffee places. the luxurious bed was too sort on the edges, making getting in and out very difficult for a mildly handicapped elder. not something one usually considers in buying a mattress but a problem.
WIFI charge ridiculous.
The room was modern and up to date. There wasnt much extra space to move around in.
It had a great modern feeling. The staff was very helpful and nice. The furnishings, though modern and sleek looking, were really cheap. The doors were big and sounded solid when shutting, but you can hear everything through them. Every door slam along the corridor or in the rooms next door can be heard in the room.
The decorum was excellent! The breakfast buffet was not adequately staffed considering how booked the hotel was. It took extra long to get a quick breakfast.
Hotel looks recently renovated to the point of surprising me. Very friendly staff.
Nice, clean hotel
The room was so large! Loved the space it provided for us. 10pm rule for kids was not enforced. Late night running the halls. Need more toilet paper stocked in the rooms.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 day stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Breakfast was good, hot and fresh. My room was very clean, and quiet. The hotel location was perfect, on a side street, close to a main road, but not on it. It was unusually hot, and there is no air conditioning in the upper hallways. But no big deal.
Breakfast Loud teens running through the hall late at night
Staff friendly over charged my card
newly remodeled smells new very nice no
Everything was clean and the staff was friendly
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.. and those chocolate chip cookies...
