Pros: The food was good in the evening, and the staff were very friendly. the coffee was first class. The continental breakfast was a bit hit and miss. However the room was very warm.
Cons: The room was a single on the front of the building, and was very noisy due to the traffic, when lorries passed by, the bed would shake .The bright neon pub sign lit the room like a breckon beacon.
Pros: Location near Gatwick Airport. Friendly staff / owners. Good atmosphere.
Pros: The bar and lounge area were lovely. Nicely decorated, friendly and inviting.
Cons: We were quite concerned about the security of the hotel. The door to our room did lock, but you weren't able to put a dead-lock on, and there was a gap around the door, which made it feel a little insecure. One of the windows didn't lock, so we were reluctant to leave any valuables in the room, and when asking how to get back into the hotel in the early hours, after a wedding, we were surprised to be shown a door that is left unlocked at all times, giving access to atleast the bedrooms. The room was ok, but basic. It was clean, but the tv didn't work. This didn't matter too much, as we didn't spend a lot of time in there, but I would expect it to work!
Pros: friendly staff, clean room.
Pros: The extreme thoughtfulness and friendliness of the staff, extremely courteous.
Cons: Room was slightly shabby..
Pros: Pleasant staff. Standard breakfast ok.
Cons: Room was not clean and anyway needed refurbishing. Shower was pathetic dribble. Unpleasant smell in room, possibly from air freshener.
Pros: The location was very good.
Cons: The room was small but the picture shown was quiet big.So one should not deceive customers like that.
Pros: Good evening meals at a fair price.
Cons: No English breakfast available although Continental was substantial.
When visiting Dorking, The Inn On The Green is a great choice to consider. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or wind down at the end of the day with a drink from the bar/lounge.
