5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was great (and included). Carmel was sweet, chatty, and fun. Free "shuttle" (one of the hosts) to the airport.
Cons: Room was on a VERY busy street, host was VERY grumpy when we arrived (our train from London was delayed). I can see how this profession would grow very tiresome so I don't begrudge him for being such a grouch but still, it didn't leave a good taste in our mouth after what was otherwise a lovely holiday in the UK.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality, house, bedroom, location and breakfast were more than amazing. I was made to feel like part of the family. I've stayed in many 5 start hotels and I would much prefer to stay here any day. If I'm back in Dorking again I hope there's availability here. The scrambled eggs from the neighbours hens, apple juice from the orchard and the electric blanket were definitely highlights.
Cons: nothing!!! Everything was perfect and that is saying something as customer service and comfort is so important to me. I've worked in the hotel and service industry most of my working life and I would say this is one of the best places I've every stayed at.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was a real find, the location was fabulous with a lovely view out of the bedroom window. Bedroom comfortable, staff really friendly and breakfast was really nice and fresh. Magazines available in the dining room to read. Games and books for entertainment.
Cons: The only thing i didn’t like was the small plastic bottles in the bathroom and free cotton wool and cotton buds. Would be much better to provide a flannel and toiletries in dispensers to prevent waste.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: A little noisy from the adjacent pub with the bedroom window open.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was nice.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, quintessential English village. Food was delicious in the pub however not the most comfortable of places to spend the whole evening. Great for a meal out but nowhere comfortable enough to really stay for the evening. It’s neither a pub nor a restaurant it was something in between which was a bit odd and uncomfortable s staff were very friendly but busy so not able to give the service they could have.
Cons: Shower was poorly designed and installed. The water ran cold for a good 5 minutes before it eventually heated up however the water pressure lacked any force so it dribbled through whilst you stand on the slope of the bath because the shower does not sit far enough away from the wall to allow you to stand underneath it properly. The room at the front whilst really comfortable and beautifully decorated is also noisy from the people outside and very light due to the lighting outside too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed comfy, very quiet, breakfast delicious, service outstanding
Cons: Liked everything. Wine sold by the bottle but I only wanted a glass which wasn’t really a problem as an excellent pub and restaurant was next door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious with separate sitting area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy, with very helpful staff
Cons: Sink tap didn't work, breakfast choices a little limited but tasty, breakfast area not quite as nice as bedrooms

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Maple Manor Hotel was a beautiful structure that was well maintained. Our room was quite clean with a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. Staff was friendly and the continental breakfast included was free, which was good for a light snack in the morning. My husband and I stayed overnight once which meant we had free parking available. A taxi to Gatwick North Terminal was £8 one way (took approximately 10minutes to get there, if so much) which was cheap in comparison to Uber. We would definitely stay there again when we’re flying from Gatwick as it’s an affordable and comfortable room that’s near to the airport.
Cons: The room was on the smaller side but we were only staying overnight so it was fine for our needs. (Just letting readers know what to expect.) Our taxi which they ordered for 8 30am came at approximately 8 45/50am. We had put in the request when we checked in the previous day. While it may not have been at any fault of Maple Manor Hotel, it’s best to book your taxi a bit earlier than you plan to so you won’t be rushing about at the airport. (We we’re still on time for the flight.)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at 11.30pm after a cancelled Gatwick flight. The receptionist was welcoming and even helped take luggage upstairs. He was still present and smiling as we left at 6am the next morning. The hotel is just a 15 minute taxi drive from the North Terminal.
Cons: As am older style mansion, there are no lifts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and convenient

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast on the planet. I doubt if there's a better place for the black pudding :D. Also the view at the garden is charming. Very quiet place allowing for quality work and rest. Very friendly and non problematic hosts. I needed to iron a shirt and all the necessary equipment was already in the room (iron and the board). Very comfy desk to place laptop and to do some work. Quality WiFi. A lot of power outlets, allowing for connection of all the chargers (laptop / phone / tablet / headphones). Everything was working fine. There's a kettle in the room and a tea / coffee to choose from. 2 minute walk to the nearest pub (recommended too) :D

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was a short taxi ride from Gatwick. Room was adequate for one night.
Cons: En suite facilities very small. Courtesy bus only availabe if you book the breafast package, which we did not realise, hence had to book a taxi back to airport.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have breakfast, good location for Gatwick Airport, limited parking but was off road. The room I used had no hairdryer which I needed, fortunately took my own. Very quiet but creaky floorboards above my ceiling. All in all I would definitely recommend. Would use again.
Cons: No hairdryer, creaky floorboards in room above.

Pros: Our hosts were very nice. Jane did a load of washing for me and as other guests had departed she quickly cleaned a private bathroom for our use, instead of the shared bathroom we had paid for. The room was small, but comfortable, with a lovely garden view.

Pros: The staff were very polite and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do.
Cons: Overpriced average quality food, Wi-Fi cut out every hour and obligatory gratuity in the restaurant menu.
7.5 Good
Pros: We wanted the full vegetarian English but they had no vegetarian sausages which was a disappointment. Also only decaf coffee available.
Cons: More vegetarian options
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyable stay. Food exquisite. Recommend the lamb special. It was divine. Staff made me very welcome.
6.7 Good
Pros: The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the decor was beautiful. Amanda who was our waitress at dinner was lovely. Food was delicious.
Cons: The room had newly polished wooden floors which slope at sharp angles so we did slip and fall around a lot. There was several dead wasps around the room, particularly one stuck between the clear frame and wall. The radiator sounded like a woman screaming. One of the waitresses we had the same evening we stayed had a bit of an attitude and was a little unfriendly compared to the other staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed
Cons: No hot water to shower in the morning
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful vintage British bathroom, breakfast à la carte.

Cons: That we had to leave
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very cosy place in a warm and livevly old pub. Rooms are very well decorated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very friendly, well located hotel. We were travelling with three other couples from my husband's family and we were all made very welcome. There was an issue with maintenance, outside the hotel's power to get immediately fixed, that affected two of the couples. The hotel dealt with the inconvenience very graciously and it couldn't have been handled better. We would definitely return if we were going to the area.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: For our first trip with our dog we looked for a dog friendly hotel with good walking grounds nearby. Together with the (be it tight) carpark you can reserve this is a perfect spot. Reception was great and we were shown to our room and were even helped with all the bags we had. Our dog was welcommed very sweetly and this made us feel very welcome. The room itself is clean, spacious enough and with a nice high, comfortable bed.
Cons: Upon arrival we weren't told when breakfast would be served. In the room the phone didn't work (which made contact to the reception a bit more difficult) and there was no information provided (in most hotels you find a booklet with hotel and surrounding area information). (all minor things very easily fixed by going down to reception) The diner was maybe the most dissapointing, maybe a new chef was working, but the burger was dry and tasteless, the chicken was dry and for some reason it was managed to get bacon and cream sauce to all tast of peas...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was divine, room was warm and cosy and clean.
Cons: Great breakfast choice but service a little slow if you arrive at peak breakfast time on a Sunday morning!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely staff and cosy rooms. Great location within walking distance of both Dorking and Dorking Deepdene stations and moments from all amenities.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been better
Cons: It was upsetting that Dorking's premier hotel was let down by the house staff who left an unfleshed lavatory with paper. The room had not been throughly dusted. Walking along the corridors to our room 144(?) there was a general musty spell due to lack of hovering and dusting. Reception could have had more gravitas.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beds very comfortable. Room spacious. the breakfast was beautifully cooked and delicious.
Cons: The evening meal was lukewarm.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything apart from the skid mark in the toilet
Cons: There was a skid mark in the toilet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The car park was wonderfully well run. As soon as we arrived we spotted our car park space had our personalized name on it. What a splendid simple idea but it saved a lot of trouble. When we arrived we met one of the staff cleaning the shower sprays thoroughly to prevent legionella. That was also impressive. The showers were sparkling clean! Well done White Horse!
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The food and service was pleasant. A very good location in the centre of Dorking. Nice to have a pub feel attached to the hotel.
Cons: Room 51 and 52 are both boiling hot. There are large unclad hot water pipes running through the rooms. The windows don’t open far. The best they could do was offer me a weak electric fan to keep cool. These shouldn’t really be hotel rooms - but at least try and improve them if you keep them. Clad the pipes! Box them in. Add air con! Allow the windows to open. I was me very unimpressed and was expecting more given the money I paid.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and comfortable with the ensuite rooms a good size.
Cons: Bedside lamp did not work. Choice of TV channels minimal.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely old inn, romantic and a great bar.
Cons: Breakfast was expensive so I went to a nearby cafe.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpfull

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very modern and clean and the coffee machine was a nice touch.
Cons: That there wasn’t a lift to the bedrooms.
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food was well presented and tasty (particularly the fresh fruit, bacon and tomatoes). The tea was rather meagre only one cup each per teapot. Surely 2 cups could be provided? Dinner (main course only) was very good.
Cons: The en-suite in Room 311 was small. The shower had a fixed "head" and was over the bath. It was impossible to view the shower controls without getting into the shower. Then when adjusting the shower temperature, it was difficult to avoid a cold drenching while the shower was adjusted to the correct temperature. My wife (aged 72) found it hard to step out of the bath when shower finished without slipping in the bath even when using the bath mat (which had black mould on it). The towels were rather small (neither of us are fat). The taps on the hand basin were slightly loose and the black surface showed water stains giving a rather messy impression. Duvet was very thick & too high a tog rating.
7.9 Good
Pros: It was really quiet and after having just completed a tough gruelling marathon on the surrey hills it was just what I needed
Cons: The food portions were tiny and if im honest the food itself was really poor, I had the salmon and it was tasteless !! Breakfast was OK though.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff, the room except the carpet. The bar meal, the breakfast.
Cons: Entrance to the rooms was poor, old paint very dirty glass doors- did not augur well when entering for the first time. The balcony/ terrace was almost obscured by the very dirty French windows. Hard to see out.
6.0 Good
Pros: Really nice location and friendly staff.
Cons: Creaky floorboards in the rooms and lovely-looking but draughty windows. The breakfast wasn't great quality.
