Pros: The owner is really friendly and speaks good English. The location and rural setting is serene and also ideal for cyclists. (I kept my bike in their workshop shed.) The room was spotless, comfy and quiet. The restaurant and bar were a pleasant surprise. The food is excellent, both for a snack for dinner and the big choice at breakfast.
Cons: The room layout was not very functional. For example: The room was large but had only one window which meant that the lights must be on during the day. The bedside lights are very dim, so I was unable to read. The 4 chairs and 2 tables were in a row which meant I could not sit and watch TV or work at the table. The bathroom occupies too much space and the light switch us not easy to find in the dark. I discussed these and other items with the owner who said they are aware and are going to rearrange the rooms.
Pros: Perfect location and really nice rooms
Pros: This is a perfect place to relax!
Cons: Everything was great!
Pros: Very nice place near Bruges with friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are clean and very comfortable.
Pros: Loved the owners. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Variety of fresh bread and pastries. The owners made us eggs just as we liked them. Beautiful restaurant where we were served breakfast. From our room we had a view of the pasture where the horses roamed around. The room was lovely with an outdoor patio. The owner suggested a wonderful place for dinner. 5 star experience.
Cons: Can’t think of a thing. We were very happy!
Pros: Excellent service, extremely friendly owners.
Pros: Everything was perfect, great breakfast
Pros: Really nice place with amazing ambiance and friendly hosts. I would recommend it for relaxing stay.
Cons: Wifi connectivity is little poor in the room but in the common bar area it works completely fine.
Pros: Everything was very good, the bed very comfortable and the toilets clean!
Pros: I can't rate B&B Quarterhouse highly enough. Beautiful bed and breakfast, in a lovely, unspoilt area which was close to Bruges and Ghent, Ypres etc., all the main areas that we wanted to visit. The accommodation was of a very high standard, very clean and extremely well maintained.
Cons: The only very slight niggle was the fact that WiFi didn't work in the room, which wouldn't have bothered me at all, except that I had some work to complete. I was able to pick it up in the courtyard outside, however, and our hosts provided me with an early morning coffee every morning, which I was very grateful for.

Pros: Alles was tip top inorde!
Pros: We stayed in a little house in the grounds; it was attractive & quirky, well equipped and so peaceful. The staff looked after us incredibly well and the breakfast was out of this world!! We'll be back.
Cons: Er.... can't think of anything!
Pros: Everything was perfect
Pros: We arrived there on Saturday afternoon by car from Belgium. It was easy to locate & we got a parking spot. We were lodging outside of the main building on a isolated area. They forgo to mention to us that main building is completely closed after 9PM and u need to access the room from outside. We walked back to our room @9:00PM after birthday dinner in restaurant near by. We were completely shocked to see main building locked. We tried to access via back entry gate near parking without success we walked on opposite side of main parking to another gate again no luck so we ended up escalating the hedge premise to get inside the lot. It was freezing cold -1 or less Celsius. Then we tried to open the bedroom door with our keycard again no success. My husband tinned to main building to see if anyone was still there and luckily the guy who was shutting down was just on his way out & he came to our rescue. Other than our lil misadventure Breakfast was excellent with glass of champagne for my hubby bday, the room is really nice, cosy & romantic. Good location near restaurants & shops. We might do it again. Just keep in mind it's not a hotel so they do not have 24h staff on the premises. In case you loose your key or something you are on your own.

Cons: Price £162 for one night (with Breakfast) for one large room seemed excessive
Pros: Nice family hotel with good facilities and very friendly owners and staff. A bit old fashioned (this is not a design hotel), but this has its own charm. Rooms are large and comfortable and the bed is good. Excellent breakfast
Pros: The breakfast was good. Breakfast serving starts at 9 a.m. but it could be arranged to have breakfast earlier.
Cons: The room was on the second floor and very small, it could be reached only via a steep stair. The hotel has an old fashioned style. When I booked the room I asked for synthetic blankets and only one was present. Due to an allergy against feathers this was very annoying. Overall the price / value balance was inadequate.
Pros: Kind staff.
Cons: The smell of the Restaurant came into the room. It was very unpleasant. The beds were small.
Pros: Enormously good and extensive breakfast made on request
Pros: Fantastic food, Lovely rooms and very personal and great service.

Pros: Super welcoming host. Awesome buffet breakfast. Cyclist friendly .
Pros: The proprietor was extremely helpful as we has a motor vehicle problem and had some arrangements to make for the continuation of our journey. He couldn't have been more helpful. The facilities were up to our expectations.
Pros: Lovely little hotel great breakfast. New tv installed
Pros: Good location in a pleasant little town.
Cons: Paying for parking in the hotel's car park which was not full.
Pros: It used be a pleasure when staying at this hotel when the previous owners provided an excellent and friendly service. We stayed at the place many times and were looking forward to staying here again. However our disappointment of the present situation was enormous and we will never stay at this place again unless they can assure us of improvements. I was born and bred in the area and visit regularly however the past two years our visit coincided with the hotel owner's holiday so could not book. The reputation of the place has now gone down. Disappointed.
Cons: Almost everything. Bed not made following day and room not cleaned. Door to garden could not be opened. Light switch on entering did not work. Shower not worth its name.
Located in Sluis, Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Dikke Van Dale is within a 10-minute drive of Hoeke Windmill and Knokke Casino. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: On-site parking with underground parking free. Classical building with interesting rooms. Good old-fashioned bath! Easy walk into town.
Cons: No in-room toiletries. Wi-Fi intermittent.
Pros: The breakfast was not as good as in previous years or indeed in the other Fletcher hotels we stayed in this trip. On 1 day there was no bacon - plenty of eggs. the next day - no eggs but plenty of bacon. Also the downstairs bar was clkosed on both nights.
Cons: My only possible concern was the breakfast and the bar beoing closed. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and will return.
Pros: Localisation. Bike rental
Cons: Too expensive hôtel! Not adaptesld for a 4-star hotel Room without soundproofing Hôtel and rooms very old: old carpet (mite allergy !!!!!! Awful) Smell of semer Bathroom: old and not clean Breakfast: old breakfast room, very dark, products really cheap.
Pros: The staff were excellent and very attentive. The parking was great and the outside of the hotel looked very good. Location was excellent.
Cons: Breakfast not very good, the toaster did not work and on the last day the room was in darkness so it was hard to see the food. The rooms were very tired and need a renovation.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms have no AC, the corridor has. Rooms were extremely warm; too warm to sleep decently. Several guests had the room of the door open to the cooled corridor in order to have a minimum of cooled air in the room. The carpet on the floor was loose. The furniture in the breakfast room was damaged, worn-out. Two out of our four nights, the breakfast room was in a very dark room, unpleasant atmosphere.
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, there just weren't enough of them to cope. We had an excellent dinner on our first night, plus good breakfasts, BEFORE THE CHEF QUIT! The location is wonderful, we love Sluis, and this is the ONLY reason we have stayed at this hotel three times.
Cons: They have a SERIOUS staffing problem and in fact 20 staff walked out on our last day, presumably because they were so overworked trying to cope. The rooms are disappointingly below standard, air con only in the corridors, and in real need of redecoration (wallpaper peeling off in some rooms). The bathroom towels are ridiculously scimpy and worn out. No effort at all has been made to improve the hotel since our last stay 5 years ago.
Cons: The room cost €244 disgraceful. The price was going up by the hr. on arrival a leaflet was supplied which recommended this room at €79. There were no coffee/tea nor mini bar facilities, the bar closed at 10:30pm & was closed all day and evening on Sunday incl. the restaurant. The view was the car park. Breakfast was disgraceful and they would not fry me two eggs. I booked a double bed and got two singles. The bed throw was dirty. They said they would look into a price amendment and the next day I discovered they charged me €243 from 7pm to 11am the next day. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I stay in many per year. I will never book a Fletcher hotel ever again. Extremely disappointed customer. 2 weeks earlier I stayed in the Resort La Reserve in Knokke-Heist "4/5 Star" for only €56 more.
Pros: Bed exceptionally comfortable. Good parking facility. Reception desk staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent.
Cons: Bar closed . Ash tray on balcony table not cleaned.
Pros: The location was great,
Cons: reception staff not friendly, we were left waiting 15 minutes to check out at a unattended desk

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: The staff is quite rude (the receptionist I talked to was very aggressive when I asked about a tax I didn't know about). I couldn't stay in the room because it was extremely hot (I had to wait until 2 in the morning to sleep).
Pros: Bed was OK but room very noisy and remained uncleared every day bar the second day as the cleaning girl was still busy making up departed guests’ rooms at 5pm! Breakfasts provided a good variety of choices. The staff worked very long hours and from what I observed, very hard so that probably explains few had time to smile!
Cons: Your site stated there was parking but neglected to say we had to pay for basically parking in a muddy & rocky open space. I was also completely unaware there were NO private bathroom facilities! The condition of the showers were left very grubby by other guests and the toilet was frequently dirty & on one occasion blocked. That meant having to use the facilities off the bar on the ground floor.
Cons: I didn't like that it was to loud the music. Untill 11 in the night i couldn't sleep. Plus they ask me to pay 15,20 € for parking and tourist tax.... But the tourit tax it was already incluted in the booking price, so... 10 €... stollen
Cons: At night loud music till 11pm
Cons: Sharing the washrooms.
