It was the least costly hotel available. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. Also, the pillow was more comfortable than it seemed like it would be at first. Oh, and it was nice and quiet, didn't even hear my neighbors. Cleanliness was lacking. The sheets had weird red droplet stains, probably wine. I tell myself it was wine. The air had a dinginess to it. The carpet was sticky in places. I tell myself that too was wine. The fridge looked disgusting, I was afraid to open it.
Breakfast wasn't ready at 6am. The free wifi wasn't available.
Clean hotel, friendly staff, excellent price. Good location right on I-35 and for access to Waxhachie. We especially liked the fact that hotel rooms were accessed from an inside hallway as opposed to outside--it is more secure.
Staff Breakfast was lacking big time Hotel was okay Steph was great breakfast sucked
Clean rooms. The matress was old. And did not like the fact that we could not get a receipt at checkout time. No brkfast left at 8am
It was close to my event I rented two rooms I got one on the first floor and the other in the 2nd floor the beds need to be way better I could feel the coils
Even though the hotel was old. It was impeccably clean. Free breakfast was slim. Bread for toast, cereal and coffee.
Was quiet. And not busy. Pool small and not too deep for kids. Pool could have been cleaner.
location,i try to stay here about 4 to 5 times a year needs to be updated
Clean and very good price No elevator if staying on 2nd floor
The room was clean and fairly comfortable. The bed was a little too hard for me. Thankfully our room did not smell. Friends traveling with us in another room had to switch rooms due to the smell. No elevator was a slight problem for us since we had a lot of expensive equipment that had to be brought to our room. We asked for a room on the first floor but there were none available. The front desk kept deactivating our room key on our last day which made checking out very difficult. We had to keep going to the front desk for a new room key everytime we would go to the car to load something as we keep getting locked out. This was well over an hour before checkout.
This was a nice hotel; however, it is a good distance from almost everything, and walking was not an option. If you want to see the town or shop, you have to drive, and one-way streets double the distances. There is one recently opened restaurant within walking distance, which has a very good menu selection. The free breakfast is a little lean on healthy selection, and there is seating for only 8 people in the breakfast area. The pool is very small, and was closed. We were told it was closed for the season. The guest laundry was frequently in use by hotel staff with bedding. The town of Waxahachi has amazingly well maintained old homes and businesses, and has very nice self guided driving and walking tours established to see a large number of them. We were there for the Veterans' Day services, which was awesome. This community does things on a Texas scale.
Cold AC and frig in room Seemed to me there were people living there. Did not feel very safe.
