Everything to my liking and very easy to reach with the public transport. Could n't always get the toilet to flush properly.
The facilities and food were excellent and the location of the guest house was ideal as it allowed the opportunity to go for a walk in the area and was close to the village and local shops, pubs and restaurants. N/A
Quality of room, house, dinning room. Efficacy and kindly staff. Very good house keeping of the house and the room. Services were high quality level (bathroom, beds, towels... ). Room was very quiet and well sound isolated (despite very close Gatwick aiport) Honestly, I have'nt any negative point to report, because the overall level of services is in accordance with what we are looking for, regarding quality/cost ratio
After spending six weeks in France and the U.K. this hotel proved to be not only the best facility for the money, but the best facility in every way. They responded to our every need and helped us immensely in working out the London travel segment of our journey through train tips. Awesome service! Too short of a stay!
Another fabulous stay at immaculate well located establishment close to all amenities. Home from home, but with all the trimmings.
location to local transportation to London and the Gatwick airport and the local shops and freindly staff
Very friendly family run Guest House. Excellent breakfast - next time I might be tempted to pay the extra for a full breakfast.
Nice - clean and close to airport and train
The staff were all tremendous and willing to make your stay easier. Very helpful during the stay single bed in family room was extremely hard mattress could feel the springs through.
Very clean, quite place, frendly staff, nice breakfast, None
This is a little gem. Very close to Gatwick without airport noise. The innkeepers are wonderful, the rooms super clean and comfortable, close to a charming pub that serves hearty fare until 10pm. Wonderful.
Closeness to transport and able to use laptop in room nice and clean and good choice of breakfast (Not any) only that it is not a hotel but a guest house and on arrival from air port on asking about the gatwick house hotel no one knew there was a hotel called that on that I did not mind it being a guest as it was just as good
clean comfortable room near good pub woth good menu
The warm friendly attitude of the owners and staff when my arrival flight was delayed and the welcome next morning to an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
The free collection and return to Gatwick airport was excellent and well organised with all the information about freephone and telephone number arriving by email. It is a family run hotel and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were advised to reserve a table at the nearby 'pub' which we did and where we had a delicious evening meal. The breakfast was excellent and the conservatory very pleasant for relaxing in.
Welcoming and helpful Main road noise in ground floor room.
This is a charming eighteenth century style inn which I initially booked because it was next door to Hampton Court Palace as I was attending a ghost tour. I found it delightful, it has such a nice vibrant atmosphere, good food and wine and the rooms are comfortable and themed. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent and overall it was just a fun stay and what was pure off chance has now turned into somewhere I would like to stay again and again. The rooms are in need of some minor decor work (the paintwork is cracking or peeling in some places) but this didn't affect me personally at all.
I found the hotel warm and inviting and would definately return
Bed comfortable, bathroom clean and modern, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Nice safe location. Booking stated Hotel had secure parking available, The hotel only had 5 or 6 space infront which had to be squatted on to get one. Only other "secure" parking that was offered was to park in the near by public park, carpark, where the gates are locked at 7pm. Did not like the idea of leaving my car in this exposed vunerable location. Rooms were clean and nice, but a little bit cramped, may not suit a large person. An old building some doors on rooms had gaps at the bottom of the door enough to put your hand under.. or hear whats going on in the room from the outside in the corridor.
The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Hannah who booked me in. The location is great and despite being on a busy road was not too noisy. The hotel and the pub have a pleasantly informal and quirky character. Also very nice toffee bavois desert! The room was a quite sparsly equipped: lack of a hairdryer and anywhere to plug one in near the one poorly lit mirror in the room; no bedside table or lightswitch reachable from the bed and no water glass provided. A room folder with information would also help - especially how to work the TV! Only 5 carparking spaces.
The King Arms has an impressive exterior, followed by a warm pub atmosphere upon entering. The staff was very responsive and helpful and escorted me to my room helping me with my luggage. I liked the personal touch! They were friendly and seemed motivated by a sense of genuine to help. The room was modest and comfortable with a nice shower and bathroom. I would stay there again! The wifi access was good too! I would have liked to try the French toast in the morning but they had run out of some of the ingredients to make it.
Very poor and slow internet connection...
Lovely place, great location, friendly staff
The hotel was easy to find and just as described. The room was lovely although instructions for the TV would help! The bar menu was limited but adequate. Would stay there again.
Superfriendly staff, nice atmosphere !
Breakfast was good, but late. Location was good. The carpet in my room was filthy. I was afraid to put my feet on the floor. There was no coffee for breakfast one day.
really friendly relaxed and helpful staff with a very high standard of cleanliness and a wonderful breakfast No
We stayed in the family annexe which was fantastic as we are a family of 6 we would normally have to book 2 or 3 hotel rooms.
The very friendly host who went out of his way to pick us up from the train station, and arrange our return trip. The room was comfy, clean and pleasant and we appreciate being served an early breakfast with great coffee so that we could catch an early flight.
the staff were accommodating and helpful, really nothing seemed too much and my room was extremely comfortable and clean parking was tricky but this was quickly organised by the Ambers in their own carpark
Vert good hospitality and good location and nice breakfast. The owners are nice people, ready to do anything for you.
Clean, comfortable and 'chilled.' nothing
Excellent breakfast and excellent porter service fron airport. Getting up steep staircase with luggage. Should have been offered downstairs accommodation or told about the stairs
Comfort, friendliness and good food
Very clean, great all day breakfast kitchen with all the needed facilities. Very recommended
This hotel was close to Gatwick and the free shuttle to and from the airport was a great feature. We also had a rental car and this hotel was very close to the rental car drop off. From the drop off we could just walk to our south terminal. This B & B was clean, had a very good breakfast and we could walk to downtown and a number of eating establishments. (Six Bells Pub-excellent)
Breakfast was very good Time for breakfast was not long enough. I was there on holiday and didn't want to be having to get up early every day
Excellent car parking, friendly staff, nice breakfast Room rather scruffy, shower tray heavily damaged, shower screens showing signs of mould.
I only stayed for one night. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. I didn't look for anything more. Nothing worth mentioning.
reception staff very helpful and friendly breakfast is poor and the staff are rude
There was a single room available which was spacious for my needs, it had everything to hand and it was quiet and warm. The decor like the hotel is rather dated, but this is reflected in the price.
Poor level of decor and outside space neglected
Close to airport, nice spot
Staff were very friendly and helpful and the Guest House had a very good, relaxing atmosphere.
clean bed linen, secure car park peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, no complimentary bath soap or shampoo, train noise, faulty shower, cold breakfast, dated decor, fried food odour
The location was reasonably quite with only a little aircraft noise from the nearby airport. My room was very small and had a strong smell. However when I complained, I was moved to a double room. This had a small childs wardrobe that was not tall enough to hang my suit carrier. The bathroom was outside the room but private, except there was no lock on the door. The quirky furniture was not too my taste, but the bed was comfortable. Rugs on the floors were horribly dirty, and I made an effort not to stand on them in the bathroom.
Close proximity to Gatwick, ease of access. Helpful staff. Being able to leave my car during my holiday. Strong smell of central heating oil in room.
Clean and friendly sharing breakfast table with strangers. No tea making facilities in room. Rather dated in decor.
Only the location in respect to our destination (Iffield) The bathroom facilities were poor. The breakfast quality was poor. The room did not have double glazing. The bed linen and furnishings do not match and there is no homely feeling.
No good points Run down. misrepresentation via website. dirty. unsafe (fire hazards, trip hazards)
Spotlessly clean - you would struggle to find a speck of dust! Very friendly, courteous and efficient couple run this guest house. Ample parking. This place would have been amazing in 1985 - fine if you don't mind dated décor. The breakfast could be improved.
Selection of food available, some missing items on restricted menu.
