Guests say
Guests consistently praise the hotel's excellent location, close to Northwestern University, Lake Michigan, and downtown Evanston. Many appreciate the charming, historic atmosphere and stylish decor. However, several reviews mention small room and bathroom sizes, slow and tiny elevators, and some service inconsistencies, especially at the front desk. While the atmosphere and location are major highlights, guests note that the value for the price and accessibility could be improved.AI-Generated from customer reviews

Check Elevator Status
Before booking, inquire about the current status of the elevators to ensure they are operational during your stay, especially if you have mobility concerns or heavy luggage.
Enjoy the Front Porch
Spend some relaxing time on the front porch, which offers a delightful spot for enjoying drinks and observing the surroundings, as recommended by previous guests.
Consider Room Size
Some guests found the rooms to be on the smaller side, so if space is a priority, consider inquiring about room size options or upgrades.
Verify Wi-Fi Availability
Confirm the status of the Wi-Fi, as some guests experienced disruptions during their stay, ensuring it meets your needs if you require a reliable internet connection.
Request Feather Pillows
If you prefer feather pillows over synthetic ones, consider requesting them in advance to enhance your comfort during your stay.
Inquire About Parking Options
Seek information about parking options before your arrival to ensure a smooth experience, especially if you plan to use valet parking or have specific requirements.
