Pros (+) The location was great as far as proximity to points of interest like Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Galileo Museum. The walks to other places weren't bad at all and gave the opportunity to find places to eat and shop. The river is also very close and beautiful at night and in the morning. Cons (-) The entrance to the building has a strong odor when the doors aren't left open during the day. Galileo has very little control over this I'm sure. Luckily enough the smell does not lead upstairs or into the rooms. Still a great stay regardless.

Pros (+) It's very central to all major visitation destinations of the city. 10 min walk to everything. Get a city view room. It's worth it! The reception desk was very helpful, calling taxi's for us and making reservations for restraints and attractions. The indoor space and rooms were beautiful! Very romantic and LARGE!!!

You have to figure out to hit a button and explain to a person through an intercom that you are staying there, then they buzz you up.
