I am happy I made the choice.
Very helpful staff, wonderful location.
The interior design is beautiful and staff very friendly! That the spa had such limited hours, while I wanted after 8 pm or very early in the morning.
Beautiful area, near to town, very relaxing
The staff were particularly helpful and the food was extremely good. The view from our room and the verandah was striking. Coffee machines in the breakfast room rather than proper coffee.
The hotel was great. The staff was helpful
Cheerful and helpful staff, Travelling with3 children we were allowed into the rooms early. Nothing appeared to be too difficult.
Unfortunately, on a couple of occasions due to late night functions it was quite noisy.
The staff was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast good.
The hotel is relatively close to the town centre. The free car park was a positive thing. I did not have much of contact with the staff, but they seem to be friendly. The hotel was under renovation. Therefore, I was annoying at one time due to that. I have stayed at the same hotel a couple of years ago and it was fine (and I think it is still fine).
The Hotel Rooms, ( not bedroom ), quiet and surroundings, Could be a great Hotel but have missed opportunities and lost direction somewhere. Staff, Food & Drink, Pricing - E.G. Charging for Carafe of water clearer filled from Tap, Bedroom, Smallest tv ever, Sewerage Smells from Bathroom and Charging Guest for use of of Pool & Sauna. Not made clear how far out of town this hotel actually is.Very few guest there and made to feel as if we were an inconvenience. In complete contrast the Hotel we went to in Roma we were made to feel we were the only guests in the hotel.
The hotel is handy for the train station in Frascati..(15mins walk downhill but 25 mins uphill) Maybe I was just unlucky but my single room was very small and not very clean
Near Roma Ciampino Airport. Staff was unfriendly
amazing location and building. Small rooms
Everything is perfect ! Progress after progress !
location - spectactular - and close to where I needed to work
A very grand building. There were very few guests there. Rooms were pleasant. Pool much smaller then picture indicates Restaurant was expensive and service quirky, all the courses arrived together. Howling dogs from nearby kennels and inadequate air conditioning with no controls made for a restless night.
the building was beautiful..........great history.........the views and grounds amazing hard to find in the dark, need very clear directions
Great view over Rome Don't stay here if you want a 4 star hotel - its more 3 star! If that. No staff, you have to ask for someone to come to the bar, not that you would want to drink in their bar! The wind whistled in through the windon when closed and to top it off there was no hot water in the morning. The staff didn't care and I had to really complain before they would do anything about refunding part of what we had paid. I would rather have had a show than a refund but the attitude of the staff wasn't good. Oh and we chose this hotel to be not too far from Champino Airport, it still took an hour in the morning traffic.
attractive location, food good. The waiters were friendly and helpful. Reception mixed. some very helpful others more offhand Conferences took over the hotel at the expense of individual travellers. eg.the only bar was used for conference events, as was the outside terrace
An exceptional view, great old villa in the hills outside of Rome. Exceptional value for money. Not perfect if you're visiting Rome and want to see the main tourist attractions though: it's very far out of the city.
Good location. Parking was an issue. Staff member that came to help us move our vehicle was rude.
hotel facilities were very nice. extremely comfortable bed and quiet. internet availability a plus, as were newspapers. its location close to the town center was very convenient. the heat came on too late in the day and the room was quite small. the high tech shower was really not in good repair.
Excellent location.Easy to access train and town.Pleasant room with wonderful view of Rome Too hot
Best hotel in the area of Frascati, good breakfast in bed and very helpful staff
Location was fantastic (close to station for trip into Rome, in centre of Frascati too); staff were lovely and very helpful. No.
A pleasant town and hotel. I thought it was located in Rome. My error when looking at the map. However, a pleasant surprise. A very nice small town and friendly people.
Loved everything, just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. No
Comfort, ability to relax after work
Perferct location - 2min walking distance from Frascati train station & the central square. Nice breakfast. Clean rooms. No wireless connection in the room & limited access at the hotel lobby. The room card keys usually didn't work.
The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located. The complimentary breakfast is ample. The rooms are tastfully decorated and furnished. We had to be moved because the air conditioning was not sufficient in our first room. The second room had a problem with the glass shower door. The other 2 rooms our children had were in excellent condition. Regarding #4, the main reason for choosing site was that fact that it had been recommended, looked nice, and had a fair rate
Air conditioning not working... childs cot filthy and broken. Swimming pool not in use. I had to carry childs cot to another room my self. Train running at the back of hotel. Planes landing during the night 500 meters from hotel. Strong smell of must in the rooms with mildew growing on the shower tiles.Shower door falling off so over all resembled a remake of faulty towers. All of the above.
Absolutely not a 3 star - looks more like a no frills 2 star
This hotel is very convenient to the airport, and we had an early flight. It is a budget hotel and good for the cost. Taxi for 5 minutes to airport cost over 30euro, starting at 19euro when we got in. This wiped out the savings of a budget hotel. We could hear the people in the room next door at 1:30am like they were in our room. We could hear the sink turn on, etc. as well.
Close to the airport Did not offer a shuttle service to airport so it costed 25 euro for a 5 min ride! Bathroom was extreamly small.
Nothing Noise - Aeroplane noise and Train noise through the night. Also noise from kitchen staff from quite early in the morning. It was just too noisy
basic accommodation, cheap noisy at night internal sound proofing poor, room ventilation poor ok for overnight before catching plane
Very clean, personnel kind, the hall is cold but rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is not that far from the airport of Ciampino, but, nevertheless, difficult to reach in the night and only by taxi (30 euros for less than 2 km!!!) No possibility of choice at the breakfast: they only serve 1 cappuccino, 1 croissant, 1 sandwich with jam or butter and a juice. Situated close to the airport and the railway, you can wake up at every train passing and from 6 a.m. by airplanes
Very nice and helpfull staff. There was no siwmming pool as advertised.
Good Parking facilities and a good location for access to Rome's Ciampino Airport - oversall a generally good, clean, and practical Hotel. It was quite difficult to find initially as not many signposts around the area and a very basic breakfast.
Friendly staff and nice room. Shuttle service to the nearest metro station for 10 euros was very practical. I few more items in the breakfast buffet would be appreciated.
The view, room's interior, ample parking More signs indicating the correct direction to the hotel
As a single traveller, I enjoyed the site, and the luxury of the hotel. The gardens were an extra bonus. The need to use the hotel shuttle bus or a taxi.
WE thought the breakfast was poor especialy the coffee and fruit juices. There were ants on the buffet table and our bedroom floor.
convenience, beautiful, perfect, the staff were wonderful!
comfort and position tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom would be appreciated
Hotel Bellavista is in the centre of Frascati and is almost adjacent to the railway station for Rome and to the bus station for local towns. It is therefore very convenient and it is also good value for money. No. The hotel was fine.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the historical centre. The metro-station to Rome is at only 10 km, and the journey to the centre takes approximately half an hour.
Staff very helpful. Parking excellent in hotel premises
Views over Rome
Location, staff and views from hotel rooms were excellent.
Comfortable spacious room.Very easy access to Rome by train.
Very friendly staff, quite spacious rooms and a good location. Very basic breakfast service, but better than last time when we were redirected to an adjacent coffee bar.
The main reason of stain there was the proximity to my conference place. My stay was pleasant and the personell very polite and facilitated me the maximun. Many Thanks
The staff were excelant, especially Cyrus who drove the Shuttle bus, he could not do enough for us during our stay, assisted by his daughter Alexia. The only down side would be the breakfast, being British we expected more variety. The continental style wasnt sufficient although we accept this is typical.
hotel laid on a courtesy bus, at a small charge to pick you up from airport and take you into town etc (hotel about 5K from town) Bar open in hotel 1000 to 2200 and manned by reception staff. Hotel ideal for business people. only contenetal breakfast available from hotel and an adjacent (independent) restaurant opened in evening (not cheap) For tourists hotel needs swimming pool and snack bar Hotel ideal for business people
Very comfortable and clean room with extremly friendly hotel staff.
new family suite, helpful staff and shuttle bus to train station
Unfortunately this was the poorest accommodation in 3 weeks. The shower screen was dismantled, the drain was blocked meaning that only the quickest wash with no hair washing was possible, the breakfast was poor and the restaurant and drinks both expensive and the poorest quality experienced. The staff were perfunctory.
very big room for 4 persons, restaurant, friendly personnel, shuttle to the train station in the morning
Very friendly staff, clean and tidy, had a quad room that was spacious, very good location for Rome if you have a car, about 30 min drive. Didn't enjoy the disabled bathroom (room 30) or the fact there was no tv in the lounge area,Wifi use is complicated, no open access.
Big parking, rich breakfast, clean, lovely at 360°! Our kid loved the huge green park around the hotel! Unfortunately we didn't manage to try the hotel restaurant, which we heard is opening in march... we'll do it next time, because we are surely coming back!
We enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent staff both at the hotel and the Academia Restaurant and the food was fantastic - Thanks Valentina and Massimiliano. It would be good if the hotel could provide transport to the train station in Frascati - Two taxi trips cost us Euro 30 - very expensive compared to the train ride to central Rome!
Location, efficient staff, the size of the suite Shiraz Close to highway so too noisy at night. Poor breakfast.
Perfect location in Frascati, with great views to Rome in my case. The room was very clean and the bathroom was quite new. Free wifi available.
I loved the location in Beautiful Frascati and 4 min. walk to the train station for a 30 min. ride (not airconditioned) to downtown Rome. Driving in Rome is insane. I was able to communicate effectively with the non-English staff effectively. The breakfast was delicious, amble and fresh. The bath and rooms were mostly clean - only the carpets could use an occassional steam cleaning cleaning. I was allowed to use for free the only two parking (in the street) spots the hotel is alloted. Grazie! The airconditiong was turned off during our last two nights - no explanation given. After walking for miles and miles in the hot streets of the Eternal City we would have appreciated (would have loved) a bit of coolness. I know that it's a few of the hotel's clients who disrespect, soil and even damage it on occassion, however I, as a responsible client, do not like stained carpetas in the rooms I am staying.
I really liked the beautiful view of Rome from my balcony and they have a excellent restaurant! It's conveniently located near the railway station, every hour there's a train to Roma Termini. The staff are genuinely friendly. There's a big parking problem in this small town, so avoid coming by car because the hotel has no private parking.
pleasant room We placed valuables in the safe and then found that we were only able to access them when staff with clearance to open they safe were on duty. We were to to return later. This was quite inconvenient as we had placed our exta cash in the safe. Luckliy the desk staff made some calls and we were able to get our money a few minutes later. Perhaps the hotel should review their procedures in this respect.
Staff followed up with esrin to determine if their shuttle was running. The room overlooking the street was very noisy at night. Motorcycle with no muffler at 4 am. Garbage (bottles) put out made lots of noise as well.
The balcony. It was ok, nothing special. It´s ok for a couple of nights.
Nice people at the reception, good location in Frascati, free Wi-Fi, great view of Rome...
The location & the friendly staff Parking was not always available
The location of the Hotel, the breakfast and the staff
The Colonna Hotel is centrally located in Frascati. Easy walk to all sights, train station and buses. When I arrived at 8:30 in the morning, I could already use my room. And when asked for a taxi, and it didn't come in 10 minutes, one of the staff drove me to my destination. Nice, spacious, comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Be aware that not all rooms have a view. Mine looked at an internal courtyard. I did not care though.
Kind and helpful staff. Breakfast room in basement.
Friendly, helpful staff and good location in centre of Frascati. Nice breakfast Rooms were small and the shower was next to useless
Limitation of the electrical power
The hotel was lovely and tucked away in a suburb of Rome, just a short train ride away. The staff was responsive and the town delightful. The room was comfortable. Carpet needed replacement
Friendly and helpful staff at small and well-appointed boutique hotel in hill-top town of Frascati, 20km outside Rome.
Central location, friendly helpful staff, free garage for car we would have liked some fresh bread for breakfast or, alternatively a toaster
Great location, parking in a very busy area , lovely room There could have been more local info re restaurants etc
The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff was kind and showing availability. The city center was however not well cleaned and a bit noisy.
The staff was great
is fire away from centre
Elegancy, Luxury, Cleanliness, Nice view of the window, Polite staff Long distance from city
Everything was really perfect except the fact that we thought that this hotel is close to the center and it wasn't No
Food was good. A little bit far from centre
I liked the staff and the food, which was fresh. dirt under the beds.
The shuttle service and the restaurant was not avaliable during the weekends (when the hotel becomes empty and only one person takes care of the whole hotel). The location can be considered ok only for those that want to go to the research centers near the Hotel (as ENEA), but the price is to high for the delivered service quality.
Easy to walk to Frascati research labs
The panorama of Rome from my room. Do clean the spa before use.
the room, the location, the building itself, the olive trees in the garden/parking. -the breakfast could be improved (less sweets/cakes, more different kinds of bread, warm eggs in stead of cold) -the very busy road just around the corner
poor quality of food
Super fast wifi (and free). Very useful.
Perfect location for visiting esrin, quiet, and not too far from Frascati center.
Very beautiful surroundings and a nice quiet area. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was still open at 9:30 p.m. which was nice. One of the reasons I stayed there was for the shuttle service to the airport but that did not run until 8 a.m. which is disappointing and cost us extra money. Many flights leave in the morning. The shuttle should begin at least by 5 a.m.
Nice villa, good location, friendly staff
View of lake. Old/small room. Bed wasn't very comfortable.
Tried desparately to cancel my Rome accommodation to stay an additional day- staff excellent and couldn't do enough
Beautiful setting, Hotel decoration is excellent and charming. Very good value for money. When we arrived we were told we could book a table for dinner, later that evening we tried to book a table but we were told we could not because of weddings and had to walk to Castel Gandolfo for our meal. Noise from the weddings was a little excessive at times when we tried to sleep.
Beautifull place to have a break and relax, with very friendly and helpul staff.
Very nice hotel with ample size room. Shower small, but common with Italian hotels.
the location was off and we reached there a bit late in the evening and the station was deserted and scary. the room was very small and we had absolutely no space to move inside the room. when asked, they say all rooms in the hotel are of the same size. well, i don't have anything strong to recommend this hotel. the food we had for dinner was billed more even after clearly informing them of the dishes we had opted for. the bill should have normally been around 45 to 50 euros and the bill we got was for 76 euros. then they said they wrongly billed some items!!!!! strange indeed..
Nobody speaks English, poor service of personel, dirty rooms, tv doesnt work, door lock on terrace broken
View was fantastic, restaurant was very good, town was a short walk and had several restaurants, shops and, of course, the Pope,s residence.
The staff were very helpful, polite and hospitable. The dinner was excellent and very reasonably priced. The view from the room is spectacular. The pool area was not furnished and the pool needed vacuuming. The room fan was very noisy. The breakfast was very mediocre and the coffee dreadful.
the restorant very small bathroom, especially shower cabin
I loved it Nothing I loved it
The quiet...it was way away from everything, and the view. It was very difficult to find, and to get back and forth. The shuttle ran hourly, but made an evening in Rome very difficult to arrange.
the courtesy bus provided there were 2 weddings on at the hotel, we felt like we were in the way and our booking was secondary. when we arrived we asked about the eating in the restaurant, but this seemed like an inconvenience the reception said they couldnt book for us, but there was noone around to help with our booking, we ended up eating in town!
Very nice hotel, easy access to Rome, would stay again. Perfect for a Rome wedding
Broken toilet seat in room
It is an absolutely fantastic place!
Beautiful setting; very courtous staff; good cousine and very relaxing They still charge WIFI access - 20 EUR per day
Beautiful facilities, views and people. Internet access is very expensive.
Food was excellent Difficult to find by car
Very good service at bar and at dinner on second night of stay. Delightful situation and grounds. Fake flowers. No dinner or food available on arrival at 8.30pm due to an event
very nice and quiet location - historical city and almost no cars on the street. Very friendly and professional team. Hotel owned by the family experienced in hotel business. Very clean, fantastic lake view from the room. Free WIFI. No problems at all !!! Very good restaurant in the same building.
A lovely location with fabulous views and in centre of pretty, tiny town.Very neat hotel. Good breakfast. Host was very helpful.Proximity to Rome by train was brilliant. Little room for our suitcases in the room we had.On arrival, the young man at the desk was helpful but had very little English - made asking for directions a bit difficult.
stunning views, good clean rooms parking difficult
Excellent location, terrific air conditioning, and view of the lake
Very confortable hotel in a small but lively village with good transport connections.
views from terrace it was quite noisy
Good and clean hotel near Rome. Beautiful view of the Castel Gandolfo lake. Easy access to Rome dowtown. There is a train station near the hotel but is better if you have a car but parking is a little difficult because places are on the street and not in great quantity. parking is not easy
Nice small town, within walking distance to shops, restuarants, catholic church and the Pope's summer residence (June, July, August) where he blesses the audience on Sunday at 12noon in 7 different languages. Rooms are small but clean.
Location Fantastic, very central...
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Signora Clara
Beautifully appointed apartment in a loely setting. We were not made aware the restaurant would not be open during our stay- the restaurant was the main reason we had chosen to stay here.
The staff and the overall ambiance of the property.
Pool No restaurant despite what it says on website, staff do no not speak english, breakfast is poor, do not stay in this hotel if you dont have a car as the nearest town/restaurant is a 20 euro taxi ride away. Also 80 euros taxi from campino airport
nice area, very good accomodation
location very good, service indifferent - bathroom not cleaned 3 out of 4 days (member of staff who cleaned first day was off for next 2), no fresh bread for breakfast (all packeted), lack of air conditioned rooms, asked to leave pool at 5 pm to allow for private function on the Wednesday.Cot charged at 25 euro per night when appeared from info to be included in price quoted - appears confusing but did not expect to have to pay the extra,.
the views it had only been open ten days and was not quite finished
