Pros: Ample parking. Easy check in. Excellent complimentary dinner and breakfast with more choices than any hotel I've stayed before. Also 3 complimentary adult beverages if you choose. Elevators were timely. Everything was clean. Pool and jacuzzi were great too. Part of pool indoor and part outdoor. Great concept. Staff was very friendly and polite. We will be back.

Pros: The beds!! Comfortable
Cons: Tub was little
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are clean and comfortable. They allow late checkout until noon. The hotel has good security features. It is clean with great amenities for the cost. I stay there frequently and will use the property again.
Cons: They do a checkin audit around 2am. If you have not shown up by then they charge you full price for the room and mark you as a no show which opens the room up for reservation by others. I frequently need to checkin post 2am which makes this a real nuisance. I have to call the hotel ahead of time to make sure the staff holds my room. It is also worth mentioning that on more than one occasion the late night staff has seemed more interested in what is on TV than being helpful to customers.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique design in the rooms and the buildings architecture. Close to Pizitz good hall and other down town attractions.
Cons: The temperature dial near the bed is illuminated at night and is distracting
9.3 Excellent
Pros: -Gym you could use at any time -Very nice room, shower, and bathroom combo -Moonshine Rooftop Bar was beautiful and had great food! I recommend the Cuban Panini -Free HBO and Showtime and Wi-Fi -Had a snack bar in the main lobby, which was very convenient and lets you add the snacks you get to your tab -Beds and pillows were super comfortable -Lots of different lights with individual switches
Cons: -A little bit of what looked like dirt on one of the pillows (may have just been fuzz from something washed with it) -Rooftop bar was a bit crowded at night -Breakfast was a bit expensive -Elevators are a bit cramped and slow -Shower takes a long time to heat up -All the lighting is very bright, so a littler hard to get the lighting just right for watching a movie at night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and history
Cons: Room layout is strange
7.5 Good
Cons: The noise. I had a corner room on the 5th floor and the noise from the street was quite audible. It woke me up several times during the night especially as some of the locals seem to like to drive home with their music at full volume
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location

9.3 Excellent
Cons: Need a little more lightning in the bathroom area
7.0 Good
Pros: I arrived to find one of the beds covered in human hair and animal hair. The rather unprofessional manager "Ervin" offered a second room, not an upgrade but another room. This room had makeup on the plows and potato chips on the top of the desk.
Cons: The room condition was unsanitary.

6.3 Good
Pros: Pool
Cons: Location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff, Jamiese, Keah & Veronica S. was very friendly and attentive to my request. I wanted to be on the top floor and they asked that if I waited a few minutes they would have one ready.
Cons: The carpet in the room had all kinds of large stains and smelled like a animal had stayed in that room. I did not know if it was animal urine or coffee stains on that carpet. That is the only thing that I did not like about this room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms were nice and breakfast was very good
Cons: Room above ours had kids running around in it all night we were in room 351
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and nice. The location is convenient to downtown, to UAB, and to the Convention Center.
Cons: The breakfast was not that great, the food counter is poorly laid out, they kept running out of items, and there was not a good selection. I microwaved the prepackaged egg omelet per package instructions, and it came out cold and had to heat it 2 more times to get it warm. Very little variety. Also, it costs an additional $12 per day to park in the parking lot, which was not advertised when I reserved the room. The room was also smaller than it looked on the photos online.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like everything about this hotel. My family does too.
Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like. One of the best hotel we have stayed in. It's in the top 3.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size.
Cons: Housekeeping didn't even complete the "light cleaning", they left the recycling. The following day housekeeping let herself into our room without knocking/giving us time to answer even though the sign on the door indicated we were sleeping. It was noon, but we had late checkout approved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best part is that Alabama has a law where the hotel can sell beer at anytime in the day. Therefore you can always go down to the hotel lobby and buy beer.
Cons: With respect to the hotel, nothing. You are safe inside the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, cleanliness, friendly staff, breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in good condition and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good value. There were some nice places to get a beer nearby.
Cons: There were problems on the local roads due to construction. Choices for dinner in the area were limited.

Pros: We had a great experience staying here. Room was awesome. We were on the 7th floor. Breakfast was good. Staff was great. Don’t pay for valet. Parking space is easy to get to yourself. Great location.
Cons: The bed was firmer then what I like but that is totally my preference only. I do wish the elevator closest to the parking went above the 2nd floor so you wouldn’t have to walk through the lobby to use elevator. Pull out sofa was uncomfortable.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff who greeted me when I walked into the lobby was wonderful! Friendly, smiling and they even upgraded our room. The kids loved the pool and the bed was so comfortable, especially after a 10-hour road trip. Bathroom was lovely and modern, the decor was stylish and the room was enormous. Kids had their own tv and eating area on their side and we had ours. I only wish we were staying longer than one night. Absolutely loved it and will for sure stay here if we pass through Birmingham again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved how open the parking area was. The staff was super friendly. My husband and I had dinner at the bar, and although it took a very long time for the food to come out and our salads came out with our meal, our bartender was very respectful and sweet about it.
Cons: It was a little difficult to find at first because it is located behind a steakhouse and you can barely see the sign when you drive by. And if you go past the entrance you cannot just turn around. You have to get back on Highway 280, which is a nightmare, and go all the way back around to find the hotel again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was amazing and the shower was so unbelievable loved it definitely will stay again !
Cons: Nothing everything was perfect.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Shower was clogged in both rooms and required maintenance. Dirty bathroom floors were biggest disappointment ....Host Robbie gave vague answers regarding breakdown of charges. He could not state the local tax or luxury tax rate claiming 17-20%.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very nice hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The price was higher than what I wanted to pay but it was a nice place to stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great!
Cons: They never left enough linens in the room.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location was wonderful. br
Cons: Having a modestly priced breakfast would have been have been appealing since breakfast was included in the cost of our stay. Because the water overflowed in the shower stall only one occupant was about to take a shower. The occupants were too, too tired to pack up and move to another room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a great location, in a nice suburban area, walking distance to a shopping center with a lot of restaurants and stores, next to a gym and easy freeway access to many places. The staff is incredibly friendly. Great rooms.
Cons: Renovations and the associated chaos knocks this hotel down a few pegs. There is drilling and hammering every day (including weekends) from 8am-6pm, which seems excessive. Work needs done, but for it to start at 8am on a Sunday is insane to me.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect.
Cons: Nothing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: What I liked best was the location.
Cons: If I had know the hotel was under reconstruction, I would not have choose to stay here. Also, I was under the impression that they provided complimentary/continental breakfast, I guess not. Below my expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: Nothing

9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff so much they were very friendly, also the room had an amazing view and the bathroom shower was very nice compared to most I’ve stayed in.
Cons: some things weren’t restocked, like my coffee didn’t have sugar, or even a straw to stir it with. Which isn’t a huge deal, but for someone who loves that cup of coffee before they leave in the morning it does make a mental note.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean hotel, easy in and out of the city. Nice little hotel gym. Good food in restaurant. Secure parking.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was excellent, clean and comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: This hotel placed a $566.00 hold on my card which is excessive and ridiculous. When went to inquire about the hold the staff acted as if I was lying about the situation. I also gave the hotel $100 cash for incidentals to avoid extra holds on my card that didn’t work. This place has $600 plus of my dollars tied up for nonsense. Buyers beware !!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room!
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent as well as the value. Beds were also super comfortable and clean.
Cons: The sliding bathroom door would not remain closed, and one of the vanity lights was out.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Price was a little high
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was convenient located to Legion Field, UAB, and Region Field. I also loved the fact that you had to use your room key to go into parking lot. This help with finding parking spaces for guests.
Cons: There is not a flat surface to bring your luggage with wheels from parking lot to front door entrance. We had to pick luggage up to go over the hump on the grass instead of having a flat surface where we are able to push our luggage without picking it up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent place to stay and the people are very professional and nice.
Cons: Nothing, that I couldn't stay longer. lol
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, helpful staff, good deal. Was so close to everything we did.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was a weekend Anniversary celebration. We were suppose to have a room with a king bed but ended up with 2 queens instead. We did have a beautiful view of the patio and pool, which I think was better than my original reservation. The Country Club Cafe could have been a little cooler and we were there for a while waiting on a hamburger and a chicken salad. The room smelled really clean. We would definately stay again. Really wanted to eat at Brocks, but had to change our plans. Thought we would eat there on Sun night, but it was closed. My anniversary dinner didn't go as planned but we survived. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Wish I had done a little more research on the eating establishments. That was a little confusing. We left the grounds twice to eat.
Cons: Information about the different eating establishments on the grounds. Breakfast wait was long. Left and ate somewhere else

Pros: Loved everything about The Redmont!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was right in downtown. The lobby and room were very comfortable and the staff were delightful - all I had to say upon check-in is that I was very tired and she instantly checked to make sure I had a rear-facing room on the off chance there was noise on the street side. I didn't experience any other facilities.

Pros: Very nice updated rooms.
Cons: Parking is an issue. Not nearly enough spaces.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Check out time was nice, room was nice and came with a lot (including dishes if you needed to use the kitchenette). Conveniently located, was close to a lot of restaurants.
Cons: Had to pay for parking, which wasn’t listed on the website.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was very nice, like a studio apartment ... great shower, good TV selection. Breakfast was tasty & filling... Great coffee... the dining and seating areas around fireplace etc were exceptionally nice. Staff was friendly. Were forgot to check out so we called back to the hotel on our way out of town and they kindly checked us out via phone (it was well before noon)
Cons: Need more premium mattresses, made my back hurt... Didn't like the citrusy smell of toiletries... Tortillas on breakfast bar were cold both mornings, they should be heated. Also, this is the South, grits should be served every morning. Valet parking would be welcomed. Walking uphill to the parking area was not pleasant. I am not disabled but still found it challenging...someone could have a heart attack.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: I rejected 1st room because it smelled like marijuana smoke. The2nd room smelled like a turnpike restroom with industrial room deodorizer. No more rooms available. I said something to the night clerk about it and she said they can’t find people smoking and the smoke travels through the bathroom vents. I’ve tested there twice before but not again. Room rate was up 50% and parking no longer free. I paid for parking but there were no parking places so I parked illegally in the lot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: to improve breakfast
Cons: Breakfast
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed, size of room, location of room, 2 large TV’s, windows & view.
Cons: Some rude staff, did not return cell phone after they looked at it for reservations, after we got up to our floor noticed it missing & went down to get it & it was sitting there with no one @ front desk. Returned drivers license & credit card & NEVER apologized for that incident! Parking is horrible people park in spots that are not designated spots. $10 to park there? No security, no covered parking, lot not fenced anyone can park there free. I saw no one checking the cars parked in the lot. Swimming pool not clean & wet towels & mess left there overnight. Too many wild kids in the pool also after pool closing hours. Next time will stay elsewhere there. Maybe Hilton or Homewood Suites in Birmingham. Other incident I should mention is they could not find my reservations I made in advance because they said a 3 rd party had last name wrong. They took middle initial & added to last name. I figured it out not them! That set the tone for my trip. After my phone was not returned made it much worse. Very unprofessional the way it was handled. Had to hand my phone over with email to prove I had reservations! That will never happen again. I will hold my phone & let them read it from my hand. Looked like they snooped through it until it locked on them. Talked to a supervisor about it all she did was apologize after I told her the front desk did not. Just so very unprofessional!!! Anything that happened front desk tried to blame on someone else. I know that routine.

Pros: This hotel is luxurious, has amazing restaurants and event space, a beautiful and spacious deck, and gorgeous courtyard and pretty outdoor pool area. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, welcoming to our family (we have 4 kids).
Cons: The poolside menu was rather basic (but the fish tacos were delicious). Also, we didn't appreciate paying a room service charge for poolside food. Also, thanks he pool closed at 8pm (not sure why - its well-lit in that area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tucked away from much of the overtly plastic atmosphere of the area, the property is beautiful at a distance and gets better as you approach. The overall interior is eccentric and fun...bohemian even. We loved the robes in the room and the luxurious shower goods. Absolute win.
Cons: I was a little annoyed that the valet stalled my manual transmission in front of me...what were they doing when I didn’t see them?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed there multiple times from out of town. The location and facilities are nice.
Cons: The staff is usually excellent. On our last visit the night desk clerk could not accommodate a simple request. It really frustrated us by the inconvenience. Probably will choose another hotel in the future.

3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Newer hotel with nice rooms.
Cons: We had to wait over an hour for our room to be finished. Cleaning ladies were still cleaning rooms till 8pm. Trash receptacles were overflowing in the evening and the trash had still not been cleaned up the next morning. There’s a sign next to the front desk that said “if you are not satisfied in any way the nights on us”. No one ever offered to pay for my tab and I was very unsatisfied. Would NOT Recommend this place to anybody.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Ran out of breakfast food
6.8 Good
Pros: I liked the location.
Cons: My room wasn’t clean. Debris was on the floor. Wet dishes were on the counter. There was an used washcloth hanging from the top of the shower curtain rod. The room didn’t smell clean. The computer chair was gross from stains.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms, very comfortable beds and a great selection for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel on the outskirts of Birmingham. We stayed here for a couple of days en route to Memphis. The hotel room has everything that you could need. There was a fully equipped kitchen, a great shower in the bathroom, the room was quite spacious and the bed was amazingly comfy. There are restaurants / a bar within walking distance. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: The room did not have a safe (but you can leave valuables in the hotel safe).
5.0 Okay
Cons: Key never worked and staff was untruthful about the entire situation. We had to be personally escorted to our room each time we left and returned.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Rooms were nice size, very clean. Grounds were nice.
Cons: Breakfast was lacking some fresh cooked options, such as eggs, bacon, or sausage. Rooms should at least be checked to see if they need to be cleaned each day, many days no one asked if we needed anything.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were large and clean. There were some great community spaces that might have been nice to use, but they were really busy the weekend we came in.
Cons: They had a large group, I mean really large group there and every morning when we went down for breakfast, the breakfast bar was wiped out and the group basically took over all of downstairs. Not sure there was much that could be done but it felt like we were at someone elses party.

Pros: Location
Cons: Shower barely worked

Pros: Good location and quaint house. Good breakfast. Lovely staff.
Cons: The bathroom for the standard room is not ensuite but is across the hall, which is not ideal. It is described as a private bathroom but does not have a lock, so other guests can use it. Cons: Access- I assume that it's located there to accommodate families and employees of the hospital, but it's impossible to leave the hospital and go directly to Marriott without going down the busy street and making a U-turn.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location. Everything you need is just up the road Stores restaurants and all.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. There was no free Wi-Fi

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very welcoming and were showing a lot of respect. Hotel very well located in a very calm and clean environment, close to pretty much everything. Very clean and organised. Will for sure come back there and recommend it.
Cons: Except of the fact it was no microwave in the room and the accessibility to the pool was not possible, Also have to meet with a little bit rude housekeeping lady after gently asking why the pool was not accessible.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern furnishings, Starbucks Cafe in Lobby, and friendly staff.
Cons: TV internet was of poor quality. Complimentary breakfast was listed but not offered at this location.
