Cons. No air conditioner first night
Pros. Pool, cleanliness. Overall resort feel without having to travel far from Houston area.
Cons. Normally the check in process is 100% smooth. The one time I decided to do something special for my fiancé and upgraded to a club 10 room , I was met with hostility and a very unsatisfactory check in process. We will still continue to visit, but in the future hope to have a better time. My fiancé enjoyed the visit, I on the other hand felt short changed.
Pros. The ocean view
Cons. Floor
Pros. The staff especially Brent made every efforts to provide us with a great experience and accommodation even though kayak reserved the wrong room from the original reservation.
Cons. Kayak over sold and caused us to waited an extended period of time while the staff had to frantically move people around in Oder to give the correct room, like we booked, since we had two young children. I tried calling the kayak help line but the help desk personnel were hard to understand, that only added to the frustration since we had just drove 5 hours to the site
Pros. The pool area was amazing. Great view of the beach (across the road), beautiful landscaping, swim-up bar, very clean, obvious attention to detail. Especially appreciated the adults-only area. The pool area justified the steep price in spite of a very average room.
Cons. The room was perfectly acceptable, but unremarkable. It was well-kept enough, and the decor was modern. But the rooms showed its age in the ceiling and walls. Although huge, the room was not well-designed. There was only a single hook in the bathroom and no towel bar of any sort. The appointments looked as though they belonged in a smaller room. For the steep price, I expected more of the room.
Cons. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and room was not clean and had damp musty odor. Had to call desk to have room cleaned after our room was skipped. Had to call again to have sheets and towels delivered. Lots of young staff but no supervisors to handle problems were available. Pool was small and dirty. High Price doesn't not mean better service. Stay somewhere else!!!
Pros. leaving
Cons. the terrible customer surface. the unsafe overly heated rooms for our children. the fact that I still have not received a call back from jake the manager since the night we arrived. we were verbally promised a comp but this has not occurred. our dozens of calls have not been returned
Pros. This hotel was amazing! It met all expectations and then some. The room was updated, and well appointed. Views from the 15th floor were incredible and nearly 360 degrees. The lobby was equally amazing. The pool was our favorite part. It was well heated and comfortable. The air temp was in the high 50s, and we stayed nice and warm in the water. The staff was equally amazing. Angelique (pool staff) was equally charismatic and attentive! She paid special attention to my kids and made the trip even better for them. Overall, a great trip.
Cons. No refrigerators in the room
Pros. The view, staff were very friendly
Cons. No makeup mirror in bathroom, additional counter space in bathroom. Very nice but expensive.
Pros. The pool is great . The Itialian restaurant was a huge hit with our son saiid the pizza was amazing.
