Cons: It was a bit warm and you could not turn off the heated towel rail
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a spectacular conversion of a modern mansion into a B&B, the property is beautiful and its absolutely sparkling clean. It's secluded so it feels private and the facilities are not like anything you find in your run of the mill place, I would highly recommend this place to any body. It's closer to a spa than a b&B and the staff are lovely and very attentive
Cons: Unfortunately the garden lights weren't working for my stay, which was a shame as the nights were warm enough to sit out by the fountains until late.

Becketts Southsea - Southsea - Bedroom
4
9.4 Excellent (212 reviews)
Overview Reviews
For the past 30 years Becketts has been one of Southsea’s most loved restaurant and bar. New owners took it over in January 2016 with vision for its future. After purchasing its neighbouring property, these 2 beautiful Grade II listed buildings have been lovingly nipped and tucked and meticulously brought back to life. Featuring 4 floors of hand made wood designs, ambient lighting, several dining areas, a private dining room and 6 boutique bedrooms, the finished result is something very special and distinctively unique. Becketts is a lively venue, the only one in our city where you can brunch, lunch, dine, drink and sleep!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, bed so comfortable and room really nicely decorated. Breakfast excellent and a glass of Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. Superb service too. would definitely return.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vegan breakfast was excellent. Staff great too.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff and food were excellent it was a great fun place to stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bedroom was spotless and, I think, recently refitted to a very high standard. The staff were friendly and 10% off anything you buy in the bar downstairs is a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: The thumping baseline from the bar/restaurant downstairs stopped at a reasonable hour at night but started at 0730 the following morning. The music was so loud where we sat for breakfast I had to turn down one of the Sonos speakers to be able to hold a conversation. I assume they're trying to attract a particular crowd, but there was no-one under the age of 40 at breakfast so it was pretty unnecessary. You only get one coffee OR juice with breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location and great value for money. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Number Five - Gosport - Bedroom
5
9.8 Excellent (43 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: I liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place is first class. The bedroom is beautifully furnished with a lovely view of the garden which backs on to the water. The bathroom is huge with a roll top bath and separate shower. The bed was very comfortable with quality bed linen. The bathroom had lots of lovely soft towels and toiletries. When we arrived Jan brought us a jug of fresh milk for our tea. We went to the local pub for dinner, which was also excellent and only a 5 minute walk. When we got back Jan had put some more milk in the room as well as two bottles of water for us to drink. Breakfast was served in the delightful dining room and started with a dish of fresh exotic fruit followed by a full English with all the trimmings. There was thick cut toast and pastries and home made jam and yogurts to follow. We don't know how they offer such a superb experience for the price. We couldn't fault anything and would love to stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the friendly welcome from Jan and Geoff. Also from the cats. The house was easy to find. It was ideally situated for the weekend planned, and not too difficult to get to the main routes to explore further afield. Excellent breakfast set in a stunning setting. The garden was calming and you could hear the water from the creek at the bottom and the chickens clucking. Would happily go back

Pros: This is a lovely place to stay. Super-Easy check-in. My flight was late and I didn’t get to the hotel until 2230. This wasn’t a problem as you use a PIN number to enter the property and your room. Other places I’ve stayed had strict check in times. The kitchen and utility facilities are brilliant. I made myself a ‘decent’ cup of coffee and biscuits are there if you want them. Charlotte and Magda haven’t cut costs by going cheap. There is a whole host of teas, coffee and a good selection of cereals etc for breakfast. Any questions etc you can call the ladies directly and your issue is resolved quickly. They deserve 10 out of 10.
Cons: Absolutely nothing......

Pros: The hotel is converted houses in a quiet street, the suits are well adapted and the decor is excellent. The room was welcoming, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had a period bath and a separate power shower. The breakfast was filling and very well cooked and the waitresses were lovely. The hotel is linked to a pub just a few meters away for the dinner / board and again the quality of the surroundings was impressive. The range of drinks was great and the food was excellent as was the service. we would certainly recommend this hotel and the sister ones very highly.
Cons: Nothing, keep up the excellent work!

Pros: - Room was spacious, clean and comfortable - Provided with a travel cot for our little person - Breakfast served to our room for an additional £4.50
Cons: - A misunderstanding when booking I didn't realise the restaurant wasn't onsite... food provided from the restaurant/pub around the corner, you can order room service. Only a problem as we couldn't leave the hotel site due to having a little one in tow.

Pros: Good value for money, easy check in, clean and comfortable. Close to local amenities, we checked in after our day trip to the Isle of Whyte and were pleased with speedy check in. Good breakfast included, followed by a full day at the Historic Docklands ten minutes away. Would stay again. Thank you.
Cons: No toiletries in the rooms, other than hand wash pump. A shower cap was available from the desk but when your just about to shower and realise this with children in tow it’s an inconvenience to go and fetch one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were looking for a location that made it easy to travel to and then around Portsmouth.this met that and exceeded with a large well presented room and facilities. Breakfast was typical fare but on par with expectations.
Cons: Fire alarm at 3am was not fun but that was only negative.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location good for event we were attending. Easy to get to town centre and Quay using car. Breakfast good and staff helpful.
Cons: Although 3 guests only 2 sets of towels were left in room. However, issue immediatly solved when asked for another set.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was of the hotels hotel's usual high standard when we settled in. Breakfast was good, but crowded and a little chaotic at 8.00 am.
Cons: We arrived late off the ferry as it had been delayed. There was no one manning the desk so I had to wait to check in, eventually calling hello into the back office till someone came out. We were given keys to a room some distance away from reception which was ok, but when we arrived we found it had not been cleaned by the housekeeping staff, but left in a state by the previous occupants. I rang reception who quickly gave us the room opposite but late at night when you have been travelling for most of the day, you don't want to be standing around with your bags in the corridor.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and easy from Portsmouth. Nice sized comfortable room, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
Cons: Couldn't get on with air con and shower had little power and tended to soak the bathroom floor.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean, tidy and generally nice. Good location for local attractions. Outside the grounds was not exactly anything to write home about - Petrol station, major roads, industrial estate & I think there was a small shopping centre.
Cons: A little over priced. I have stayed in better hotels for less money. Grounds were 'ok', if only a little unkempt. Breakfast was pretty much box standard & certainly nothing exceptional. Evening meals were WAAAAAAAAY overpriced, and that is mainly what let it down as the meals were not of a very high standard
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Both breakfast and the location were very good.
Cons: Cigarette butts littered internal courtyard.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Sausages were not nice

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful. we were only staying overnight - but didn't want to leave our luggage in the car as we were off in a cruise and had rather alot. Unfortunately my husband had injured his knee the day before and wasn't able to handle the luggage very well. The Manager was so kind and transferred all our luggage into a storage room overnight and back to the car the following morning. He was so helpful and kind. We were very appreciative. The breakfast was excellent and our room had everything we needed. If we are fortunate enough to go on another cruise, we would definitely stay again. It was a good start to our dream holiday - thank you.

Pros: Really great room, lovely interiors, super comfy bed and fab En-suite bathroom/wet room. Really friendly staff and a great breakfast. Great location very quiet and only 15min walk into Southampton town centre.
Cons: The particular room we were in was on the ground floor at the front overlooking the car park, so was quite exposed if you wanted the blinds/curtains open!
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Nice cheerful staff, good breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice hotel near the University for graduation the next day. Breakfast was good but arrived too late for dinner.
Cons: For a superior room, the carpet was not the best and needed a clean. We had two rooms and I was phoned after we left to say that the information pack was missing from one and a hairdryer missing from the other. I would never of thought of checking that all things were present when we arrived and we certainly did not take them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in a deluxe single room which was spacious (among single rooms), nicely decorated and comfy. It had a huge TV too. The corridor had a music which was a nice extra. Also had a very good breakfast.
Cons: I got there a bit late and there was no parking space but I found one in ~5-10m distance on the street
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Nespresso coffee machine. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was very nice. Loved the live singer and hotel has a good vibe.
Cons: Room could do with a mirror other than in the bathroom.
