Pros: nice location, clean and neat, wonderful attentive staff
Pros: The overall experience. The staff there made us feel very special and both hotel employees went above and beyond in order to make us feel special. The room was comfortable, shower was great and the breakfast was wonderful.
Cons: The bed was a little low and very soft.
This was my first time visiting England and staying here at Florence House Boutique Hotel just made it 10 times more wonderful! My shipmate and I both agreed that we made the right decision. If i can help it, I will look for more hotels like this when traveling. Just a great experience overall ! No complaints
Pros: I loved how nice and attentive the staff were. Very accomodating and reliable. They were there to help with everything, even booking our taxi. The breakfast was amazing. The room was phenomenal. From now on, i'd like to stay in a hotel just like this one!
Cons: I loved my stay here but if i could change one thing, i would need heat/air control inside the room. I tend to like it cooler at night. Also i noticed a grape and dust bunnies under the bed upon my departure looking for my watch.

Pros: Our room was very nice - comfy bed, great shower, lovely furnishings.
Cons: Location was odd - residential with very little parking and few nearby restaurants; our room was at the top of four flights of stairs, the staff offered several times to assist with bags so it is not a big problem but something to be aware of.

Wonderful place to stay. It's a little over 3 miles from the historic dockyard area of Portsmouth, but it's a nice walk along the water. The staff (especially Mary and the wonderful gentleman whose name I cannot remember) were absolutely wonderful. The living room area was comfortable as was the dining room. The food was great. We had to leave at 6AM the day we left and they even fixed us food to take with us on the train! We would absolutely stay there again and tell anyone we know about it.
Pros: The staff was excellent- friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Very welcoming and made us feel at home from the minute we walked in the door. Great place! We ate dinner there the first night...wonderful food!

Although the manager was nice enough, allowing us to cancel a room we couldn't get to without incurring the two day penalty was hardly a boon. Although we did not see any room, the interior of the hotel lobby left much to be desired.
Cons: Free parking is on a busy street if you can find a place to park. Hotel overlooks Solent Bay by about a half a mile. Lift was broken (people were trapped inside when we arrived) so we were never able to get to our room and hotel mgmt allowed us to cancel.

Cons: The room did not have a nice chair to relax in
Pros: Hotel was modern and clean. We arrived late and the hotel staff was very helpful and even reminded us that the bar was about to close. We were surprised by the excellent quality of the included breakfast.
Cons: It was difficult to figure out entrance to the hotel as the barrier was down to the carpark and it was hard to find the available parking to the side of the entrance. Needed better signs.
Pros: next to cricket ground
Cons: the main foyer 'relaxing' area - low quality, high noise akin to a Blackpool Boarding House not a hotel
Pros: Clean rooms
Cons: Too far out from the cruise port and town of Southampton.
