Pros: Outstanding hotel! Excellent breakfast and services. A lot of services are included in the price of the room (swimming pool, sauna, coffee and water in room,...). Congratulations to the staff that is doing a great job!
Cons: Good restaurant (quality of ingredients), but expensive compared to Italian standards (especially the wines).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful and modern hotel with professional and very friendly personnel that isn't that makes you feel relaxed and help organizing your vacation. The Ayas valley is a great place to stay and to to walk/hike in the Monte Rosa area. A great choice of food is offered for breakfast (fantastic pastry offer and several freshly prepared dishes) and the food/wine in the Cliffhangers Restaurant is also optimal (high quality ingredients prepared with some creative ideas). Very good offers in the spa, beautiful in- and outdoor relax area, a 25m long swimming pol with great view to the mountains, billiard, 12m high climbing wall with instructor ensures to enjoy also the bad weather days and the evenings. A place to recommend for a couple or a family!
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel design and setting are fabulous. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both were first class. The staff were all fantastic. I just wish we had the time to sample the pool, spa and climbing wall.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - The staff is incredibly helpful and kind - The hotel is beautiful to behold in every aspect - Me and my wife loved the breakfast
Cons: There's a problem with the room's temperature. It takes nothing for it to raise above 26-27 degrees even with an outside temperature of 10 degrees. Opening the windows was sometimes not enough and not a valid option when raining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most beautiful hotel with reasonable price.

Pros: The staff was absolutely lovely and professional. Chantal at the front desk and Luigi in the kitchen in particular.,Food delicious. And the hotel was in a perfect spot.
Cons: There was a woman smoking nonstop on the shared balcony, so we couldn’t use that space but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault! Also the WiFi wasn’t very strong in our room.

The staff (Florisa, Anna and Daniela) were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Anything we needed - dinner reservations, advice, was not a problem. The breakfast was outstanding and copious - cereals, yogourt, fruit, meat, cheese, cakes, pastries, eggs, and all sorts of drinks (hot and cold). On our last day, they stored our bags while we hiked. Cons: Might woul be a gym or some yoga mats. The wooden planks on the balcony left small stitches.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location very high in the mountains, beautiful views all around, friendly staff and great for walkers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the views and the nature surrounding the hotel. Its in a beautiful location. The breakfast was amazing, so fresh and yummy especially the pastries and croissants .. so yum !!! We went for our honeymoon and we are not into hiking but we absolutely did a-lot of paths around the hotel and its absolutely beautiful. The staff are really kind and super helpful. The outdoor pool is amazing with the views and heated is a big plus. Highly recommend this hotel!!! We visited beginning September and would love to visit during winter season.
7.9 Good
Pros: Extremely friendly staff, beautiful location and surroundings, great restaurant with very good dinner (not to be missed)
Cons: Simple rooms, not too many different hiking trails, wellness area could be extended/renewed (also no towels available) - everything ok for a 3-star Hotel, but then it was a bit expensive (but it was also high season)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, lovely food and facilities. Could have stayed longer
Cons: Long windy road approx 7 miles to the hotel which can be difficult for some drivers/ riders but worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spot, mountings view, swimming pool with warm water, welcoming English speaking staff. Great respect for chief of restaurant for unusual and tasty meals.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was amazing. The location is right at the foot of the walking trails which makes it very good for exploring the park. Relaxing by the pool and spa area made the afternoons very enjoyable. The staff were kind and always happy to help out.
Cons: The food quality was amazing however, there was little choice in terms of variety of food types. After a long day hiking the trails I would like a hearty meal yet the portion sizes were small and almost not what you would expect from a hotel like this. The food would be more fitting in a 5 star hotel.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect WiFi, good food (but rather not as large, as desired after another altitude trail, in comparison with mountain huts) I can say nothing about location, Tache is small and cosy, so any location in Tache is very good and has very nice view. Anyway, it is pleasant to be in place called "Squirrel", because I like squirrels :)
Cons: dishes in restaurant should be doubled in size!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We book the hotel at the last minute, we did not have any major expectation but it turn out to be an amazing hotel on a fabulous location. Everything worked. Enrico at reception was a great host and accommodate all our requests. the room was beautiful, all we could hear was the river no far by. Bed comfortable and bathroom modern and clean. the Spa area was very nice and all facilities were functioning. Especially the sauna where the temp was perfect and the hammam with the choice of steam essences to choose. That is what I call attention to details. The restaurant was also very nice. We had a beautiful table with view, the menu cover all tastes.
Cons: I have to say that all worked perfectly, making our short vacation nice and relaxing. Just one note: We ask for a late checkout on the Saturday evening for Sunday morning. The person at reception said that was not possible (She did not check if the room was booked the day after - while we did, it was free) We were prepared to pay some extra also. The next day my partner asked again to a different person at reception and we did get the extension for free. Nice one!
7.9 Good
Pros: Well run, staff nice, beds ok, breakfasts good. Nice atmosphere in bar for apres ski drinks and snacks. really Good location if you drive. Probably a pain if you have to get to Staffal/ tschafal? For 9 am lessons via hotel hopper to punta jolanda then navette..... only 2 hrs from Milan airports
Cons: No gym. I’m sure there was one advertised when we booked. Water with meals is bottled only and there is no free water in the rooms. 2x 0.5l in minibar not enough. Food not very child friendly. Too hot in restaurant usually.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hotel - good location. Really good breakfast.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Calm location with easy access to village center (a couple of minutes walk along the stream) and ski lift with rental shops and after-ski (approx 10 minutes walk). Cozy little hotel with a good breakfast (if anything was missing or out you just asked the madame who brought more of it). We got a very nice room with a jacuzzi bath tub and a small sauna heated by infra-red which worked fine. The free wifi also worked well. We also appreciated the many power outlets for charging phones etc., and the small safe for storing valuables in the room.
Cons: The pillows were a little bit too high and solid for my taste.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely guest house, beautifully presented. Only 5 minutes walk from the village / 10 mins from lift. Free on site parking, super comfy bed, free internet & big LCD TV.
Cons: The room could have been a little warmer at times & shower hotter. Matter of preference, but I like a roasting shower after a day on the snow. But minor quibble for what was otherwise an excellent choice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super cute place, right in the center of the village. Breakfast is just prefect.
Cons: Location, design and breakfast
Hotel L'aiglon - Champoluc - Building
10
9.1 Excellent (441 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel L'Aiglon places you in the heart of Ayas, steps from Val d'Ayas and Monterosa Ski. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Perfect location.
Cons: Nothing.
7.3 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, room of good size with enough space for baby bed. Perfectly clean. The location is perfect, off the main street in Champoluc, with shops, coffee-shopts, restaurants, minimarkets, all over, sky-lifts less than 5 mins walk away. The main street has been newly paved with stones, and has no traffic (access by car is restricted to residents and hotel residents). In my opinion, probably the best location were to stay in Val d'Ayas. Everything you need daily and in the evening available within walking distance, and anything else available with a short drive. Parking spot available in the hotel garage.
Cons: Perhaps temperature in the room too high for me - with no possibility of tuning it (it is regulated for the whole building). I wish the hotel provided wireless internet access - the only internet access was available at a computer in the main lounge.
7.3 Good
Pros: Comfortable hotel located in the main street of Champoluc not far from the ski lifts, nice interior design, garage under the hotel, staff ready to help, safe big enough for DSLR camera and netbook, sauna...
Cons: No wi-fi, just one computer with [expensive] connection to the Internet. I think, in the year 2010 wi-fi is a must and it should be free for the guests of the hotel.

Chalet Du Lys - Champoluc - Building
12
9.1 Excellent (339 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean hotel and very good location just steps to the lifts. Nice spa and friendly staff.
Cons: The food was shockingly bad. We had pasta and were very surprised at how awful it was specially when you are in Italy you dont expect that quality of food. They had opened a tin and microwaved it!!!!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything: staff ready to make you happy, very helpful for anything we needed. hotel is very nice, with cosy rooms, breakfast the best i have ever head, top quality, Fabuleuse SPA, location the best next to the ski tracks. We will come back for sure, we recommend it
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very welcoming, comfortable, and near the ski slopes. The staff were excellent and very friendly
Cons: There could’ve been a cheaper branch to the restaurant like burgers and pizzas for those skiers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place with great hosts. It is a perfect place for rest, as well as you would like do ski, hike, climb, do ski-touring (station of 2 cable-cars is in 2 minutes distance) or just have same pleasant and easy time. Very nice spa space where you can regenerate after busy days. And wonderful kitchen with homemade meals with local products. And most of all - what I mention at the beginning, wonderful and friendly host.
Cons: The stay was to short, but it is our responsibility
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The location, the staff, the nature.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel was fabulous. The central location, the helpful staff, the rooms, the proximity of the ski lifts and the possibility to ski back to the hotel door, the secure ski room (nice and big and a really good boot dryer), the carpark, the bar. The breakfast was amazing, I have had a lot of very poor breakfasts in Italy, this had everything you could hope for, so much choice of food, including the possibility to make your own fresh juice. The spa was wonderful, only a few things to improve (a door that fits the sauna properly so the heat does not escape and a sign on the door informing guests they MUST use a towel in the sauna). Thank you to the staff for their flexibility and for letting us check-in early, this is always appreciated when it's possible.
Cons: The La Grange restaurant in the evening was a little chaotic and the choice of food and the quality of food was not what I expected. Some improvements could be made to make the hotel more environmentally friendly. The heating in the room was extravagantly hot, we had to have the windows open the first night -- we got this fixed on day 2, but it's unnecessary, no-one wants their room to be 25 degrees! Please replace all plastic cups in the bathroom by washable glass glasses -- single use plastic (including straws in the bars) should be banned as they are in most catering establishments across the UK.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was amazing. Manuela and her family/staff make you feel really welcome. The food spot on every night, with a good choice for every taste. The wine list has a lot of locally sourced wines. We did not have a bad bottle, it really opened our eyes to the amazing wines of the Aosta Valley. The breakfast was great, the rooms comfortable and of a very high standard. There is a nice games room for the kids. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. The spa is very relaxing after a days snowboarding! Also, it is 2 minutes walk from the chair lift and bus stop. Grazie Manuela!
Cons: Could not find fault with the place
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel, good location, good climate inside the rooms and common areas, very beautiful wellness area with amazing view on surrounding mountains, kind personnel and kind owners. 5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is good for getting to the slopes and the breakfast is pretty good
Cons: The staff in the restaurant were there to get food and drinks out as quickly as possible, not to provide a service. For us, after dinner, there were nowhere to sit where it was a bit quieter. You were not "encouraged" to stay in the restaurant and the two sofas in a quiet room were always taken. there are 4 games tables in a separate room but there was also a TV in there were they tended to show football on.
7.5 Good
Pros: Most days we found something edible in the restaurant and on the days we didn’t we could ask for pesto pasta. Large areas of seating at night- bar, lounge and games room.
Cons: Entertainment team only really tried to sell you lottery tickets. Ordered breakfast picnic day of departure but it didn’t turn up. On our last night other guests were really noisy. Quite a trek to the ski lifts.
6.3 Good
Pros: Buffet breakfast good. Parking easy
Cons: Virtually no atmosphere in area..lacking shops, bars , restaurants. Tired interior to hotel.

Pros: Great location, walking distance to the slopes. Probably ski in and out possible if there is enough snow. Surprisingly good breakfast and dinner, with a good assortment of wines. Hotel spa works well and it is well appreciated after a day on the slopes. Overall the village is functional and quiet. There are no supermarkets, so be sure to have a car if you need to cook.
Cons: Staff is friendly but unwilling to accommodate requests, such as having a later departure or let us use the spa showers after check-out time. They actually tried to charge us a ticket to the spa when we asked if we could use the shower rooms for changing our clothes after our final morning on the slopes, believe it or not. Rooms are clean but pretty old and with some basic features missing. There were only 2 electric sockets available in the room, one in the bathroom and one in a room corner. Making it pretty difficult to manage charging your electric gadgets. Also there was very poor lighting in the room, making it pretty dark and gloomy. Beds are pretty soft and noisy.
