The place was really really great!!! It's very beautiful and the location is very attractive - in the middle of National Park - keep in mind if you are coming from Salzburg direction, you'll have to pay 28 euros to enter the park however you'll get everything back from the hotel - talk to them at the park entrance. The location is especially great for tracking and wintersports - the nature is amazing there! We recommend it very very much!!!!!!!
We liked the room: big enough, well equiped, comfortable bed and very nice furnitures and decoration. The view was beautiful. The staff were polite and helpfull. Breakfast was good. There is no elevator and there is 2 floors, if somebody have problem with stairs he must asked for ground room. No complaints.
Adorable hotel! Nice staff. Very comfy bed. Beautiful location if you love the mountains. No restaurant but there were several within easy driving distance.
Nice view and close to the Gross Glockner. No internet whatsoever despite the website telling you so.
Wonderful location with great views. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Free parking. The hotel was difficult to find. Could not connect to WiFi in room; but was ok in the downstairs reception area.
The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Views were stunning. Food was excellent and dinner and breakfast were included. Has a bar to sit in and relax. Right nest to mountains and church..Parking was off-site but easily accessible Not much to do in village, a few shops but everything you need is in hotel anywayit is very relaxing
Excellent Breakfast, location is perfect for the village centre, and access to lifts.
We loved the decor in the rooms and particularly enjoyed the gala dinner, included in the half board price, which was an outstanding seven course gourmet meal!
Excellent meals, beautiful views, friendly staff, quiet village and great opportunities to hike and walk in the mountains.
Fantastic hotel! We arrived for an amazing 6 course "gala dinner" and the breakfast buffet the next morning was the best we had on our European holiday; all for 80 euros per person-well worth it. The village was beautiful and the mountains spectacular.
Lovely location. Helpful welcoming staff. Good food. No bad points
The location was lovely; our room was clean and very nice. The staff was great - my three year old daughter wanted some ice cream but everything in town was closed, so the hotel staff gave her some - they were very kind!
Big enough to have all adequate facilities. Small enough to still feel personal, with a strong family influence.
This is a beautiful family run hotel. Though the hotel is not very new but you can feel the owners take care the details of the hotel very well. We arrived in the night and left early the next morning, so there is nothing we don't like.
This quaint, beautiful hotel was the favorite of our 15 day European stay. We were there for only one night with 2 other couples traveling on motorcycles. The reception by an Austrian dressed employee just topped off the initial moment. She was charming! The rooms were furnished with lovely wood-carved furniture and comfy linens. We each had a sitting area and balcony that overlooked a stream. The swimming pool was inviting. We took the advantage of the 5 course meal offering which was less expensive than a bottle of water that we had at another large hotel the day before. And it was terrific. The breakfast buffet was equally satisfying. We did not venture out into the city, because we were quite happy to relax and enjoy the hotel. NONE.
I loved this hotel! The rustic decor, services, and general atmosphere really matched the location in the beautiful mountains of the Austrian Alps.
This hotel was much better than we had expected in so many senses. The hotel itself was clean and easy to use. The staff were all devoted (humane in a sense), which canNOT be easily seen in the Western world. The food leaves nothing to be desired, which was served in a buffet style(both dinner and breakfast) with a variety of food and drinks. Its location is super: just in front of the bus terminal(Winkl). You will surely find many more good points about this hotel if you stay.
Exellent breakfast and dinner. and Fabulous Landscape. Small room.
Simply the best hotel experience in 25 years. This hotel, the staff and management were streets ahead of anything else we experienced in Austria Shower was far too small
It is a great Hotel, staff are friendly/helpful and spoke english! Olaf, Michelle, Stephenie and Stefen made it a memorable stay. Convenient location close to most hiking trails. Clothes washing facilities a bonus.
The friendly staff the rooms were very dark
Hotel needs refreshing , some staff seem new and untrained
The facilities were excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant (evening & breakfast) was first class. No area to load cars under cover without paying for internal car park. I would have liked WiFi Internet access in my room.
It's very good pension. And, the breakfast & dinner are also delicious.
gasthof tauernalm was comfortable and reasonable it is run by the owner and his wife the food was good the breakfast very good
the "Gasthof" is in an original mountain style, the people are honest and friendly, food is good and rooms are very clean. Lovely region in the valley of the Grossklockner glacier.
I loved it. Room was very big and comfortable; balcony with 5* view. Hotel staff was fantastic, we felt like at home.
Good breakfast, location, view from the balcony, easy to find.
We liked the hotel very much! The owner is charming and very friendly! The room is nice and cheerful. View from the window is great! Breakfast is quite good. So we liked everything! Nothing!!!
We (2 adults, 1 child) had a very good time at the Gasthof Tauernalm, a nice room with a huge terrace facing the mountains and a great service provided by the owners, what else can you expect.......
Adventure from the "Hochalpenstrasse". Very friendly staff.
This inn is probably one of the best budget accomodations available in Austria, It is set in a picturesque location on the road to the Grossglockner glacier and had an awesome view of the glacier from the room and the balcony. The rooms are big and clean and the food was excellent. The inn owner is a very nice gentleman who is extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this charming inn when you are in Heiligenblut or passing through Hohe Tauern National Park. No.
