Lovely private garden.Beautifully decorated rooms, kitchen and lounge areas.Plenty of places to retreat to with a bottle of local wine after a whole day's sightseeing, including one by the river. Welcoming and helpful host. Easy drive to supermarket. The stone path right before the rooms sounds a little bit harsh when luggage is moved. Other than that it is a perfect place to stay for couples.
location ,walking distance to everything in napier, rooms were nice, recption helpful. definatly not 5 star, started with no porter, room condements not replenished daily ,attached bar not open some nites , problems with credit card machine on check out , would say place run more like a ,country pub with slightlly flasher rooms
Loved the art deco building and how close it was to everything in Napier. The hotel itself was majestic with its art deco decor including the art deco restaurant that was attached to the hotel. The furnishings in the hotel lobby, rooms and restaurant were just lovely. Even the Irish pub also attached to this hotel was great & had really nice meals & atmosphere. Views from the hotel to the sea was great and it was lovely that you could actually go out on to the balcony too.
