Pros: friendly and approachable staff, prompt room service and very good privacy.

Cons: Taxi service that serves this hotel was difficult to deal with, but bell hop did everything he could to mitigate their problems.

Cons: This motel advertised free wifi. The wifi was a hot spot that was located near the game room area. Therefore there was no wifi in our room. Very disappointing as we had a lot of research to do for our travels.
Cons: No internet despite being advertised
No front desk after 5pm to solve issues
Thin walls - could hear the neighbors
Cheapest construction possible -

Pros: Proximity to all sites in CBD, Victoria Market, free public transportation. Friendliness, helpfulness, knowledge of staff. Kitchenette & amenities. Comfort of room & bed. Room size. Modern bathroom. All appliances & plumbing worked properly.
Cons: Long waits for lift (and always crowded). Erratically working (or non-working) in-room Wi-Fi. Not enough sugar packets for tea or coffee. Housekeeping service generally did not arrive until 3-4 pm.
Pros: The room was great as was the service of hotel staff. Nice view and nice location since quiet but close to central business district and trams.
Cons: Restaurant closes pretty early.
Pros: Superb location; nice rooms; excellent lap pool.
Cons: Walls paper-thin, can hear neighbors' conversation. Housekeeping often took until late afternoon to clean room; they do a good job, but clearly need additional workers.
Pros: Kitchen/pots/pans etc. Bed was comfortable. Service was great. Staff did not bother me much at all which is what I prefer, but when I did have a question they were on point and quick to resolve my issue.
Cons: No bathtub, and the room heated up very quickly without AC blasting the entire time.

Pros: I don't know how they do it. You can't stay in any capital city for this price in this good a hotel. but the Pensione do it.
Pros: Location! Very close to conference center. Front desk staff were friendly.
Cons: Front desk staff were willing to help but some were not very knowledgeable about the tourist destinations, restaurants, etc in the area. It would be helpful to have a concierge. Also, there were some plumbing issues in my room -- but this may not be the case in other rooms.

Located in Melbourne Central Business District, this apartment is within a 5-minute walk of Melbourne's GPO, Bourke Street Mall, and Melbourne Central. Queen Victoria Market and RMIT University are also within 15 minutes.
Pros: Room was clean and served it's purpose admirably for the 2 nights I stayed in the hotel.
Cons: -- Wifi isn't free (after low limit)
-- Wifi limit 100 MB which is not really enough to do anything for an extended period of time & it's $9.99/night for unlimited which is too high.
-- Wifi strength was not great
-- Hotel claims to be "apartment-style" room, however my room was exactly like every other hotel I've stayed at. A work colleague said his was larger, I'm just lucky like that I guess.
Pros: Centrally located, and close to many good cafes and restaurants.
Cons: Charging $25 per day for WiFi, but I understand that this is the Australian norm.
