Beautiful view. Comfy gas fireplace. Relaxing whirlpool bath. Large room. Terrific restaurant! (Salmon for dinner.) Friendly and helpful staff (Andre) Nice breakfast. Quiet.
Windows needed cleaning. Clock wasn't plugged in. Would have been nice to have been able to check in at Sunday brunch.
The gas fireplace in a $99 room was a happy surprise
chimney was noisey due to a wind storm....
Beautiful, peaceful location, charming inn, warm and inviting gourmet restaurant on site.
Capacious rooms with views over the lake and rolling countryside, within an old inn that has been tastefully renovated and extended. The dining room is of high quality and there is an excellent wine list. The hotel is well located to visit Bangor, Brewer and their surrounds, as well as providing easy access to Bar Harbour and the Arcadia National Park, Bucksport, Belfast and Camden. Antique shops of varying quality are common throughout the region during summer months and well worth a visit.
Although not experienced during our stay, the inn is a popular venue for weddings and the associated receptions. These could adversely affect the enjoyment due to the impact on the kitchen and the associated noise.
The scaene, the view, the restaurant, the bar, the warm welcoming environment
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The inn was very quiet and quaint. We really enjoyed our stay.
