The Lampton was convenient for Hounslow town centre and Twickenham rugby stadium and was a cosy, good value stop over.
location near underground station and heathrow - relatively quiet room was a bit shabby - needed updating
It was adequate for the price in London, but expensive by comparison with prices elsewhere in the country. I do appreciate, though, that, because of its location, the business has considerable overheads. The only cooked breakfast the chef seemed to understand was "Fried egg, toast, beans". I asked for scrambled eggs - he fried them!!
Good value for money and very good location. Like 1min walk if that from tube station. Staff very nice and helpful. Gave us advice and a reliable taxi number as we were going to be out late at night. Also very nice touch by giving us a map to twickenham. They were prepared with events going on instead of some places that act like they have blinkers on I didn't like the notice on our door. It said. For your safety please ensure that this door is lock at all times. Especially before going to sleep. Thank you. That last bit freaked me and and made me very uncomfortable. I think you should leave it as please keep door locked. Also. We had book 2 single beds and there were 3. It look up unwanted space.
Single room was warm [very cold weather] and clean with ensuite shower room. Full English breakfast included in price was cooked to order. Staff were on reception all day and evening. Close to local shops andPiccadilly line station for Heathrow and Central London. Good value
The hotel offered very good value for money; I wasn't expecting anything flash - just a bed and shower as I overnighted before flying from Heathrow. It offered just that. The breakfast room downstairs was pretty spartan.
The staff was very accommodating and offered to discount a second night. Breakfast was to order and was freshly cooked rather than continental. Access to the Tube, Heathrow and London was only 300 ft away, the deciding factor in our original single night stay. The rooms were small, two of our three with two single beds. At least one had a heavy perfume odor associated with cheap motels. My sister felt uncomfortable sleeping alone and shared a room with our brother. Door locks were residential type with no chain for backup.
very comfortable the breakfast could have been a little more generous, but then again i was with my 18 yr son and we both have good appetites.
very good value for money, free parking breakfast in teh morning and room whilst small was perfectly adequate, clean and the bed was comfortable. As a 1 or 2 night stop over place at a budget price i would strongly recomend it, ideal for trip to twickenham.
Close to the underground The room was very small - not even enough room for two people to stand on two sides of the bed. The walls were dirty as was the shower, which drained very slowly. The whole room could have used a good scrubbing!
Very helpful staff, personal attention.
Friendly, very good location, very nice staff, really near underground station. I do recomend this place
Good Location Noisy, limited choice of cereals
not as I was expecting from the photos
People were basically friendly. I left a pair of pierce on the bedside table, and a cleaner didn't see them and dropped one on the floor. I could not find the other one so I moved the bedside table and found some rubbish papers and balls of dust, which was quite unpleasant. Re the other one of the pair of the pierce which was missing I talked about it with the hotel personnels and the cleaner cheched the rubbish bag which one of the personnels had fetched from a big rubbish container outside the hotel. Fortunately she found the missing one from the rubbish bag, but it was covered with cigarette ashes. I received no apology for it, and the personnel, who seemed to be an ower, said only "conguratulations." The follwoing day a cleaner (I don't know if the cleaner was the same as the clear from the previous day) again dropped a visually substantial, hard to miss, cosmetic bottle on the floor from the same bedside table. They don't seem to learn from a mistake.
very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast fish was not fresh at dinner
The full english breakfast was very bad,my friends breakfast had hairs in it,all cereals were of the cheapest brands, sausages particularly nasty, alex polizzi(hotel inspector) may have had a field day here
The breakfast was good! Other than the breakfast we did not like anything about this place.
Handy for the shops and our family. The decor needs attention especially the en-suite shower room
The room was a very good size, it was clean and there was a decent shower. The only complaint was that the window didn't shut properly in the bedroom so it was fine with the heating on but needed attention. Otherwise it was better than I expected for the rate/area.
The cold tap ran all night and was not repaired despite reporting it. The water behind my daughter's bed ran with water after heavy rain fell. One of the beds smelled of urine, fortunately there were 3 and we didn't have to use it.
close to the tube well when u book online they show a different cost and when u go there they tell u in addition to the room if u want the bathroom with that you have to pay additional 5 pounds
Easily accessable, only 2mins walk from Hounslow Central on Piccadilly Line, handy for Heathrow.Clean and comfortable,Polite and friendly staff.
That it was near to where I needed to be The smell in the corridor , the damp patch on ceiling in dining room and the office desk being in the dining room .
Ideally placed for bus stop to Twickenham. it was just outside the door, and a regular service guest house is very tired and could do with redecorating and double glazed windows, the rooms at the front were very noisy. Went for breakfast and were told they had run out of bacon only half way through the breakfast period.
It's proximity to the event that we were in London for (Philippine Barrio Fiesta, Lampton Park, Hounslow ) was excellent .... just across the road. Couldn't have got any closer ! Our ground floor room was next to a car park, easily accessible to anyone passing. Could not, therefore, leave the window open (for fresh air) when we went out, or overnight as we slept.
some other guests that the man insisted to charge for 3 following nights, so I could not change the hotel the third night.
really friendly relaxed and helpful staff with a very high standard of cleanliness and a wonderful breakfast No
Breakfast was good, but late. Location was good. The carpet in my room was filthy. I was afraid to put my feet on the floor. There was no coffee for breakfast one day.
The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Hannah who booked me in. The location is great and despite being on a busy road was not too noisy. The hotel and the pub have a pleasantly informal and quirky character. Also very nice toffee bavois desert! The room was a quite sparsly equipped: lack of a hairdryer and anywhere to plug one in near the one poorly lit mirror in the room; no bedside table or lightswitch reachable from the bed and no water glass provided. A room folder with information would also help - especially how to work the TV! Only 5 carparking spaces.
Very poor and slow internet connection...
Bed comfortable, bathroom clean and modern, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Nice safe location. Booking stated Hotel had secure parking available, The hotel only had 5 or 6 space infront which had to be squatted on to get one. Only other "secure" parking that was offered was to park in the near by public park, carpark, where the gates are locked at 7pm. Did not like the idea of leaving my car in this exposed vunerable location. Rooms were clean and nice, but a little bit cramped, may not suit a large person. An old building some doors on rooms had gaps at the bottom of the door enough to put your hand under.. or hear whats going on in the room from the outside in the corridor.
I found the hotel warm and inviting and would definately return
The King Arms has an impressive exterior, followed by a warm pub atmosphere upon entering. The staff was very responsive and helpful and escorted me to my room helping me with my luggage. I liked the personal touch! They were friendly and seemed motivated by a sense of genuine to help. The room was modest and comfortable with a nice shower and bathroom. I would stay there again! The wifi access was good too! I would have liked to try the French toast in the morning but they had run out of some of the ingredients to make it.
This is a charming eighteenth century style inn which I initially booked because it was next door to Hampton Court Palace as I was attending a ghost tour. I found it delightful, it has such a nice vibrant atmosphere, good food and wine and the rooms are comfortable and themed. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent and overall it was just a fun stay and what was pure off chance has now turned into somewhere I would like to stay again and again. The rooms are in need of some minor decor work (the paintwork is cracking or peeling in some places) but this didn't affect me personally at all.
Lovely place, great location, friendly staff
Superfriendly staff, nice atmosphere !
The hotel was easy to find and just as described. The room was lovely although instructions for the TV would help! The bar menu was limited but adequate. Would stay there again.
The noise above my room at 5am was loud, even with ear plugs. The bed was hard, and you could feel the springs in the mattress. Very uncomfortable.
The member of staff on reception was pleasant. Shower was almost non existent and it was difficult to wash my hair, Would have liked a nightcap before settling for the night but even though I was in before 11 there was no sign of life in the bar.
It was nice to find an affordable hotel with parking and within walking distance of the station. Was good that there was a fridge in the room and breakfast was very good. Budget room was a bit noisy as faced the main road but can't really complain too much about that!
Good price, good location, and generally good quality. The hotel was very helpful with a left-behind Notebook and they kindly contacted me overseas about it - this was very generous and gratefully appreciated. The booking system takes credit card details to confirm the booking but I understood that this meant advance payment (which I was happy to do)as it was the non-flexible rate. So, I was concerned when I was charged at the hotel for the stay and I had to go back to my bank to see whether the original 'payment' had been made and if I had double paid.
Hotel room and facilities were great Check in was a little problematic due to a shortage of staff
Very good value for money, and breakfast starting at 6.30 very useful as start work early and could have breakfast before leaving. Not really many, room was a little dark, but apart from that, all good. Especially when you take into account the cost.
Ideal location for one night sleep over in-between flights at Heathrow Airport
The bar/lounge area with access to Wifi Double glazing on front needs upgrading. Needs Wifi in rooms.
Was close to airport no
I've stayed at King's Paget a number of times, but cancelled this reservation because the price has risen beyond what I think is reasonable.
Amazing Hotel, way better than a two stars in my opinion. The hotel staff was kind, courteous, and spoke English very well. Helpful in arranging for tours and local advice. I had a large spacious room, with a balcony and a view of the street life. And they had an in room mini-bar. I sent my clothes to be cleaned and while they returned perfectly clean, I realized later that they had written a number in ink on my clothes. On the the items with a tag no big deal, but I had several shirts that had no tag and they wrote right on the fabric....
