Good service: react adequate and quick when something was not as expected. On the travel back ( used the hotel stay for two day travel to and from vacation adress) The room had no fresh smell. But everything was clean and the bedlinnen was fresh
very small bathroom, not clean, not enough towels
Staff was friendly and accommodating. They made every effort to communicate clearly despite not speaking very much English. My son thought it was cool to sleep in a bunk bed and compared it to our ferry cabin on the ferries we took on the Alaskan Marine Highway. The beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom was super small. Water temps were very sensitive so it was tricky to find a balance so as to not freeze or scald yourself :).
It was insanely cheap. The linens and towels were clean. It is right off the highway (near other hotels/motels). We arrived at night and it had a shifty vibe. I can't describe it any other way.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice breakfast Far from the city, some bedlinen missing. On the whole the double bed would also be better equipped with two blankets because more often than families I believe that tourist groups are staying at these hotels.
You get what you pay for - a tiny cramped room with bunkbeds and a tiny bathroom in which the shower overflowed. We were by one of the landing doors which slammed all night - we literally got about an hours sleep.
really helpful staff good value breakfast well-lit accessible parking near motorway
Buffet breakfast It needs refurbishment, toilet seat was broken, shower drain blocked and smelly. Also noisy by railway and industrial site.l
pretty dirty and neglected unleaned rooms broken items
I wasd right in the center of everything. That I truely enjoyed. And I was on the top floor and thank god there was air conditioning.
It took a lot of time to check in and then to check out because the staff was struggling with their computer.
Spacious room and lovely building Breakfast a bit expensive for what was offered
The location next to the dôme. Over-coordination betweeen staff, but still, lack in customer orientation. Poor breakfast service!
location the fact that one has to go litterally through the kitchen/pantry area to get to the elevator to the rooms and deal servers carrying plates of food or dirty dishes from the restaurant! We understand this is an old buiding but the kitchen smell was not pleasant to say the least. There was no trace of our reservation when we showed up .We were awakened at 7 am by very loud noise coming from staff carrying bottles being recycled in the courtyard dowen below.
The location I like the hotel very much
The architecture and the old world charm. The location was perfect.
Excellent location in a delightful building. Good lift to small but comfortable room. Access to the lift (elevator) was through the back of the dining room past an area used by staff for smoking. The smell of smoke was very bad indeed.
Staff was very friendly-location was perfect.
Comfortable and well managed hotel. Rooms a bit shabby but clean. Good location near train station and tram.
Staff were pleasant. Good location
It's a cosy place with a friendly personnel ,in avery convenient spot A little touch of rennovation in the interior (corridors etc) and a lot at exterior.
The restrautant was closed at dinner time.
This is an excellent family hotel with great service, nice people and a truly wonderful dining room. Top value for money. there was nothing that we did not ike.
friendly staff, spacious room, good location the hotel-restaurant has no longer restaurant and that should be posted in the announce
Convenient to both train station & sightseeing: adequent for stopover stay
situation close to the main station the room is very small
wonderful staff, great English, very helpful. Stairs would make it impossible for handicapped, made carrying the bags a slight problem.
The hotel was close to petit france area, so very convenient for visiting the christmas markets. Hotel staffs were very nice and welcoming. The building and the room needs a bit of renovation. They are so old and lack sense of clenliness although I could tell that the cleaning is done properly. Tough the price is not that expensive, I still thought it doesn't worth the money..
Easy reach of the autostrada
hotel staff, close to town centre
pleasant reception and service , well dined , etc.. No
Location is good. Good stop off point close to highways. Cheap motel style rather than a hotel. Poor cleanliness overall (although to be fair - the bed linen was fresh and clean). Fairly thick layer of dust in places created a poor overall impression.
cheap rooms, small but very clean, dogs welcome, friendly staff and free parking
Good price-quality ratio, friendly personnel, quiet, closeby to Straatsburg, easy to reach with Elsau P+R
accessibility to Strasbourg
Quiet and clean, two sets of two towels [2 per person] would have been nice .E.g one to wrap around the body another to wrap around the head More than one portion of tea/coffee/milk would have been good
large room, good shower, good breakfast hotel restaurant closed for holidays and basically all other reaturants in the village closed too. had to buy bread and cheese from a supermarket in the end.
Hotel staff very well prepared for guest attention. Friendly environment. Convenient shopping Mall in front of the hotel . Unfortunatelly the restaurant does not provide us a menu in English or German ( only French ) , but, one person was prompt assigned to do a rough translation. In my point of view , will be more convenient to have this menu translated to different language. Expensive self service breakfast ( 9 Euro per person ) based on offered variety mainly lack of fruits .
English speaking staff in French hotel
Central location, parking, restaurant. Poor breakfast choice, food smelling in corridors. Room on street side noisy (bus stop nearby).
Nothing The breakfast was far too expensive. There was no hot water one night. There was no tea or coffee service available, compared to the hotel in Switzerland I will never stay or recommend this particular hotel again.
The hotel was comfortable and suited our needs. Didn't eat there so could not comment on restaurant. About 20 mins outside Strasbourg, but easily accessible via bus and tram. Hotel receptionist very informative and helpful. would recommend it for price and convenience.
friendly and helpful staff, good location (great base for discovering Alsace), very quiet region, great restaurant... Everything is great!
Good hotel in a convenient location, private parking, very friendly staff, good breakfast. No complaints at all.
Nice staff, easy access, the room was clean except a bit of problem in the bathroom.
Very convenient for getting into Strasbourg. Good parking facilities. Easy access to motorway for onward journey. Advertised menu not available only a la carte. No breakfast tea!!
Good Service and Location No Coffee Making Facilities
Small but interestingly decorated bedroom. Fun lobby. Lovely front desk and restaurant staff. Shower flooded the bathroom floor and, if I had not thrown all the towels down, it would have flooded the bedroom as well. They were surely aware of this as the shower head was positioned facing the wall. Once it was turned to focus the water downward, the flooding began. Room 308.
AMAZING LOCATION Almost exactly in front of the cathedral. The room was nicely decorated, and very clean. I think it is a True three star as opposed to a three star that is really a two as you often find in Europe. Very difficult to find if you're driving! Much of the area surrounding the hotel is pedestrian only, and your GPS will get very "confused" because it can not guide you anywhere near the hotel itself. If you drive, look for a paid underground parkin lot.. (Parking Gutenberg at Gutenberg plaz is the closest to the hotel)
Excellent location, adjacent to the cathedral and convenient for city centre facilities. Staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms decorated and furnished in 'traditional' style are relatively spacious and very clean. Bathroom spotless and well serviced and maintained.
Great location. Double windows that helped to reduce the street noise. Really nice staff that helped for reserving tables from restaurants. There might be some improvements in breakfeast...
Perfect location and all hotel features were good or better. With tram a very short walk away, you could go anywhere with ease. Rooms have double windows for sound control.
Extremely helpful desk (perfect English), nice restaurant/cafe, extremely convenient location to the sights, nice rooms, even A/C. Just be aware that you'll have some walking to do from the train station, but you can cut 3/4 of the walk by taking the tram, or you can cab it to within a block.
Good location for tourists and business travelers; close to the Cathedral, restaurants and public transportation. The breakfast (13 euros) was too expensive,
Good location with excellent service from the staff day and night. Defintely stay there again.
situation close to the center poor breakfast
Best value for money I have found in years of travelling. Everything worked perfectly and with no hassle. Helpful and polite staff. Right downtown but our second floor room out to the yard was still really quiet. No complaints whatsoever.
The location of the hotel was very good.
Everything was new, rooms recently renovated, the location is extremely comfortable They failed to produce a proper invoice (said that neither the headed paper nor the stamp of the hotel had not arrived yet, which made me suspect they were actually not authorised to open yet) and my complaints (as no payment office will accept a peace of paper with no credentials) were answered with a "I know this is not a proper invoice...," instead of offering to send one later by mail or e-mai
Hotel was quite good. Also the amount of extras in the room were more than satisfactory (cooker, iron, just useful stuff like that which for this price I hadn't expected to find in my room). Design of the room was also according to standards, maybe even a bit above. The person at the reception wasn't much helpful. Felt like she was just sitting there to earn her money and not much more. Her English was rather poor as well.
The room cleaning policy is strange.
Very nice and friendly reception staff. Strange smell in the corridor; too small room for such price.
Very convenient to have a small kitchen which was very well equipped. Location was very good for exploring Strasbourg on foot. Design was modern but very comfortable. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, from reception to housekeeping. Electrical outlets are only operational when the key card is inserted, so you cannot charge small appliances (cell phone, laptop, camera batteries) when you are not in the room. GPS information on how to find hotel is not accurate (on a pedestrian street), so pre-arrival information on where to and how to reach the hotel and park would have been helpful.
The room was clean, compact, well equipped and comfortable and centrally located
Excellent location for exploring the old town. New apartment with nice kitchen. Markets on Place Kleber a few days of the week for fresh food and vegetables No hangers or hooks/ shelves for storage.
I enjoyed starting a day with refreshing breakfast of the hotel with very well organized and clean kitchen. Personel was very kind and friendly.
Very helpful staff. Clean. Very comfortable beds, nice room decoration, good quality materials used. Design in lobby and bar, as well as in the bathrooms. Great sauna and relaxation room. There are still parts of the hotel that could be modernised (stairs). Sometimes too much noise could be heard from other rooms. Parking seems expensive - 13 euro per day.
good location, the hotel is within 20 minutes easy walk of the cathedral, which is the center of the tourist destination area. Comfortable and clean. We had to request a remote control for the AC at the front desk.
the positive and very welcoming reception I received, even though I arrived very late and left very early. I will definitely consider staying there again. it was all grand
Helpfulness of staff Limited Parking
Easy to reach from highway and a short walk away from city center.
Very good breakfast
good breakfast, nice staff, clean the room we were at - third floor - was noisy; i suppose it had to do with the heating system
Nice cosy room, recently refurbished and clean. Friendly staff.
Very good service (attention to little children, reasonably priced room service) and friendly staff
Location is perfect -close to the city center, yet in a quiet area. A parking garage is directly opposite the hotel - a great plus when coming to Strasbourg by car. The heating was turned off when we arrived, so it was chilly in the room and bathroom, but we switched the radiator on and it got warmer overnight.
Location. The glass shield for shower can not avoid leakage of water and hence made the floor totally flood! It's very inconvenient to unload our luggages, because there is no space for parking car, even just temporarily, in front of the hotel. So we just parked on the street for unloading with cars running besides us.
excellent location close to centre yet quiet and pleasant The rooms are small
The room was clean and comfortable and a very good value. The hotel is very convenient - within 10-15 min walk of shopping and multiple bars/restaurants/food markets, etc. Also, it's on the bus line and just a short ride from the train station. I also liked that it was within walking distance of the Council of Europe and ECHR, because that was my purpose in town. The breakfast was also very good - assorted breads and pastries, juice/coffee/tea, fruits and cheese and yogurt, etc. I would definitely stay here again.
It was close to the main cathedral centre. The staff was friendly. They should include the breakfast with their rate. I found the breakfast was expensive.
friendly staff no air condition really warm in the room
There is a sauna no
Hotel aux trois roses is a small, cute hotel close to the city center in strasbourg. A parking lot is just opposite the hotel (9euros for 24 hours). Staff was friendly, the double room was somewhat small but clean and with a nice bathroom. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. We were there for just one night, but the impression was very good and I would advise this hotel to my friends.
Staff were kind and helpful. Room was clean and bright. The shower was inadequate. The bathroom door didn't close properly. Reception couldn't help with certain queries as they did not have a working computer.
Good location - close to the historic district of the town, quiet area, kind service . No.
Best Hotel in Strasbourg -
very nice staff. location in the centeral price of breakfast
Comfortable layout of room and good location We had the suite at the back of the hotel with a view of a parking garage.
very friendly service, location in the center, valet parking, excellent breakfast buffet.
The rooms were very elegant, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The location was also a plus.
Central location. Very tastefully decorated hotel and the superior room was very comfortable. Gorgeous bed. The room's air conditioning in Strasbourg's hot and humid days was essential for those of us used to cooler climes. Breakfast was very nice and staff very pleasant and helpful. The noise of water through pipes from surrounding bathrooms did wake me up in the morning but wasn't too off-putting. A bath would have been nice.
The on-site parking service. The hotel in general offered quality staying experience while close to centre. Poor room service during the night with half of the menu choice not able to be served.Too expensive minibar. Came back one day at 4pm and the room was not serviced.Enviromentally consious cards saying 'how to leave towels hanging if not for washing or how to leave a card on bed if you don't want your bed sheets changed in order to save the environment' implies significant savings on hotel operating costs. According to my own reasoning these savings should be passed on to guests through lower prices.
I made my booking on booking.com and received a conifrmation mail. Following day the hotel contacted me and stated that they could not get the money from my credit card and stated i need to react within 24 hrs. It was a difficult situation to manage the bad communication between the hotel and booking.com. Following my email to them, the hotel accepted to keep the booking without any payment till my arrival.
Poor service and cleaning
Our stay was perfect, from begginining to the end No bad comments at all.
This is a fine hotel in the center of a spectacular city. The staff were always cheerful and helpful with any needs I had. I would absolutely look to stay again next time I'm in Strasbourg.
Close to downtown. They need to rebuild the shower. Nowadays has no water barrier, and the bathroom become all wet.
The staff is very friendly. - Everything in the city can be reached within a few minutes. - The beds were good. - Everything was clean. - The bath seems to be relativly new. The rooms to the street are loud when the window is open. - After showering almost the entire ground of the bath is wet.
The location of the hotel to the town and TGV station was excellent. The friendly staff and the Bar/restaurant attached came in handy. The breakfast was basic but good. The room was very basic, small but clean. The hotel staff speaks English and were helpful. We enjoyed our weekend stay and the price was good. In the room there was no place to lay out your suitcase and the curtains were not big enough to cover the light coming from outside at night. The bathroom shower was different, just a shower curtain in the corner and the floor gets wet.
the location of the hotel Very poor language skills of prsonel, very bad attitude to guests, very small rooms - i stayed in a double room!
Clean rooms, small price, internet access
I liked it a lot.Staff was obliging, room was clean. So, really, it is the best choise for one day trip.
Nice staff; a good room for good value.
location in the city parking for the car
Comfortable bed and great location. Overpriced.
Comfortable bed, warm and clean room. Polite staff. Very small room, inexcusable bathroom with just a shower curtain and no tiles. Absolutely not worth the price.
I have had accepted reconstructions acivities without any informations before. Please inform better for these activity.
Excellent Hotel only 5 min walk from the centre. Free wifi in the rooms, parking in the public garage was only 9 Euro for 24 hrs ( with access directly to the hotel), reception and public areas have a great futuristic design, so does the bathroom.....Staff was very friendly, and helped us with recommendations for restaurants etc. Didn't try breakfast at the hotel as in the attached shopping mall ( excellent for shopaholics like me) you can find many bakeries. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone travelling to Strasbourg !
Easy walking distance from the train station but also on a tram line so able to get to the train station that way as well. Good sized room, free internet, separate bathroom and loo and a fridge all helped make it a great place to stay. Staff fluent in a number of languages. Being next to a shopping centre meant there were good breakfast and lunch options if you didn't want to pay the prices being asked in the hotel. Reception can be short-staffed at times which makes getting good service a bit difficult. Hotel restaurant prices a bit steep.
Good position It was impossible to take the stairs to our room when the lift was very busy as a large tour party had just arrived. We almost missed a vital appointment.
The location of the hotel. Tram stop right outside the hotel and the a big shopping mall adjustant to it. The main city centre (Cathedral) is just a 10 min walk from the hotel. The carpets in the corridor need a change. Breakfast is expensive but there are enough better options right next to the hotel in the mall.
Central location was great although a little hard to find by car with the one way streets,. No - it was great
location and quietness of room; size of room; breakfast set up was not particularly good nor was service; parking was confusing and difficult at first;
Central location of the hotel. Helpful staff at reception desk. Quiet and comfortable room.
Everything was satisfactory Not at all
Hotel is next to a duck pond and very close to a church. No aircon so had window open. Ducks noisy all night, Church bell seemed to strike all the quarter hours and after a very uncomfortable night found ouselves covered in mosquito bites.
The outside of the building looked great! The hotel advertized air conditioned rooms, which was important with 35+c weather. The a/c was more of a repaired water cooler which was turned off at 22h. When we opened the windows, we were overwhelmed with the bugs and mosquitos so we had to close the windows. Which made it impossible to sleep in such a heated suana. argh!
We stayed in one of the Disabled adapted rooms and the facilities were first class. The reception staff could not have been more helpful furnishing me with details in relation to booking in and out. I very much intend to stay there again in the future
Comfortable room. Good set up for family with separate sleeping areas. No restaurant in hotel but linked to a good one 5 minutes walk away. Nice pool and sauna. Pool was unheated.
The room The hotel is far from city center. (Maybe it is good for business - but not for holiday.
Great hotel with very helpful staff who assisted us with train travel connections. Hotel is conveniently located near the tram line for easy assess to the city. No tea making facities in the room
There was a feeling of homeliness and staff were friendly and obliging. Room was very clean.
Everythingm but most especially the comfort and the money value for the stay.
Good value fo money. Pleasent staff. Hotel seems to be quite old, should be renewed. Breakfast very good. It was a nice stay.
Confort of bed Noise
Front staff is very kindness. High quality comfortable big room, quiet position, breakfast is very good and best service.
Very clean and comfortable
the positionand and cleaness of the room. The staff were frindly
Location is perfect Staffs are super friendly and helpful Comfy bed and nice room
We booked early and found a very good price for our room. The fairytale-like hotel is a recently restored 16th century Alsacian construction, complete with exposed wooden beams, contrasting very nicely with all of the modern amenities (very clean new bathrooms!) The staff was very welcoming, and most spoke French, English, and German. They recommended and reserved a great restaurant, and also reserved us a taxi with no problems. Wifi is pay-only, but there is a free to use computer, with printer, near the lobby. The bathtub/shower really needs some sort of curtain or glass partition to avoid spraying water everywhere, but one can make do.
This is a full 10-grade hotel. If you like hotels with a charm - that`s the one in Strasbourg. The restored old inn building is just beautiful with a number of old beams kept around. The staff is remercably kind and helpful. With a booking.com rate the price - quality ratio is just amazing! The location is also great - in the vicinity of all the touristic/shopping attractions in the city! Be aware of the fact that by car the entrance of the hotel`s street seems closed - there is a low intercom box on the left-hand side and you have to push the button - the reception puts the hydraulic pillar down for you ;-)
The location was excellent (2 minutes walking and you are in the centre of town) as was the friendliness and quality of the staff. The hotel is an excellent blend of modern interior design in a historical building. The rooms were roomy and comfortable (in particular the beds). Quiet location.
the service, the room
The hotel is in such a picturesque place, and traditional. A truly wonderful place to stay. Only room service available for evening meals. Would liked to have sat and ate downstairs socially, in such a beautiful hotel.
They had renovated a very old building very carefully while including excellent modern facilities. It was hidden away within walking distance of the old town, it was quiet, a real treat, one of the best hotels we have stayed in. For the price the breakfast was rather limited, although they did have fresh juices and excellent coffee
The hotel was lovingly restored, it is in a beautiful old building but offers nonetheless all the latest standard. The staff in the hotel was friendly and helpful. Somehow, the athmosphere in the room was a bit sterile. The light in the bathroom was insufficient by far. The room was too small / simple given the price per night. Also, the breakfast at EUR 22,00 per person was way too basic. Half an hour before the end of breakfast, there were no more refills on eggs etc. There was too little personnel to clear tables in the slightly too small breakfast room, so plates and other dishes would be piling on the tables.
Lovely room, complimentary bottle of wine, excellent breakfast Privacy was lacking due to windows of other rooms facing ours. Noise from people drinking in the courtyard.
Absolutely remarkable building, refined luxury, one of the best places I've ever stayed at, in a city distinctly lacking any other competitor. OK, the breakfast fruit juice was disappointing
Everybody was very nice and attentive. Great location, nice and clean room. I recommend this hotel.
The location is excellent. Right in the middle of everything. The buffet breakfast is suberb.
close to city center, clean, friendly
Very central location and reasonably close to the main train station of Strasbourg. The room was very small and the shower was dark as there was insufficient light in the bathroom. The hotel is not well signed and a little difficult to initially locate but this was exacerbated by renovation work being undertaken at Place Kleber.
The location was excellent and the staff friendly. Very small room. Would have been annoyed if we were given one of the even smaller ones. Limited breakfast for the price.
Location, location, location. Le Kleber has an awesome location in the heart of the city. A little difficult to find with the car (park in the Kleber Parking Garage). Convenient walk to everything in town. Rooms are small, but this is typical for this area. It was hard fitting our family of four (one baby in a crib) into a triple room.
The location and. the helpful staff. Only draw back was the tiny attic room, which we warned about. The view of Kleber Pace was an added bonus.
When I came back at the hotel around 7p.m. the desk was closed, and there was no way to get my key: I had to wait for 15 minutes. Another guest was in the same situation. Another point is the fact that the desk also closes at midnight ... What if something happened?
Central; Balcony; Breakfast. Tiny on-suite; Poky corridors.
Nice decorated rooms and parking nearby
The location is excellent - in the heart of the old city while within easy walking distance of the train station. All staff were friendly and courteous and commuinicated well in English. The decor of the rooms was unique and created a warm ambiance that made it pleasant and relaxing. The breakfasts were good value with a wide selection.
the very nice room No 105!
Good Restaurant. Quite nice rooms. The people in the reception handles also the resaurant so they are not available at the reception. I forgot to request the Wi-Fi access details (which should be free) and after around 10:30 PM there is no one that you can ask about it.
Good admosphere, friendly staff, excellent kitchen The room was not 100% clean.
The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.
