Overworked staff with poor attitude, poor quality food, self service buffet no al a carte menu available.
Good area with nice facilities
Good, comfortable, 4 stars hotel. Nice staff, private parking, bike parking, swimming pool and good restoran
modern smart clean rooms air conditioning not working first 2 days. Breakfast was not good
Hoteliers are so arrogant and rude to guest. i never ever exprienced such kind of people.
Very nice room, beatifully designed
new rooms, interesting design, good food, nice landscape arround, good price. We will come back.
Bedrooms are spacious and fairly clean. Excellent, prompt, dependable staff and reception desk. Air conditioning works very well, and there is a minifridge in the room. The beds are comfortable. Other reviewers commented on the noisiness of the passing train; in my room with the windows closed it sounded like faraway thunder, and wasn't loud enough to wake me up (and I wake up with almost any noise). Location is very bad. It is on a secluded road without any restaurants or shops nearby. Must drive, or take a taxi or a train to get into Rovereto or other nearby towns. On closer inspection, the sheets and towels were not very clean, though the rest of the room was impeccable. The hotel restaurant has high-quality food, but it is predictably more expensive than comparable restaurants in town.
The rooms and aircon was very good also the restaurant in the evening was very good. The breakfast was typical Italian, not much choice and even no fresh espresso! It came out of a tourist machine!! No danish in a four star place?the restaurant could do better with Fresh OJ and fresh baked eggs and bread.
Staff and restaurant was great Internet was poor and seemed to block basic sites like web based email. Hotel was hard to find even with navigation system in car
Staff Internet WIFI is quite expensive but first hour is free
It is close to the train station, the service in general is good. Some of the people (not all) working there are kind of descriminatory to people from other countries.
very good quality environment and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast.
the cleaning services were good there is no bar at the lobby, the wi fi was very bad.
New smartly refurbished frontage and foyer, staff very pleasant, rooms fresh and clean and excellent buffet breakfast
Good location This hotel looks better than it is. Strange smell in bathroom from air con, worst coffee I have ever tasted, staff helped but were distant.
It gave the impression of luxury, was interesting in design, and friendly. There was no Bar in the Hotel, or restaurant, which meant we spent nearly 200 euros in the Hotel down the road.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff. They even booked an appointment for our dog. This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and will not be the last. Not applicable
It was one of the very few hotels that offered accomodation for a family at a reasonable price. The Hotel was fine but the whole town shuts at 2100 so if you are eating out, eat early!
Very good Any restaurant and bar
The booking process was absolutely excellent. I phoned on a Sunday and had no problem getting through to Active Hotels. I was given superb guidance, the man whom I booked the hotels with with even helped me choose the best stop over places. As I was driving from uk to Greece his help was so valuable. I had 2 dogs with me, the man at Active Hotels made finding a dog-accepting hotel so easy. Would throughly recommend Active Hotels, every stop over was excellent, thank-you.
Quality of hotel & very helpful staff
Nice centrally located hotel. Poor equipped mini-bar. Coffee wasnt what I expected. Wlan expensive.
Very good and comfortable. Exceptional value for money. Quiet, clean, well furnished. Perfectly staff. Nothing to complaint
A nice hotel in centre of Roveretto. the room and evening meal were very nice. We even had tea/coffee making facilities
Very nice hotel with excellent service. I would gladly stay here again.
the location right in the center and the restaurant
The staff at reception were very helpful and very friendly. The hotel had free coffee in the lobby with the latest magazines ( pity I couldn't read italian). An easy 150 metre to the train station on smooth pavements so easy to pull a suitcase. Close to shops, supermarket, museum, Everything in easy walking distance. Breakfast not included in the rate but I knew this when I booked.
Location. It is near the train station and on the main street of Rovereto. The hotel is family run and is very clean and the staff for the most part is very helpful. I have stayed here before and the breakfast this time was not as good as the last time we stayed.
Good bar and breakfast Lack of organisation of breakfast tables for the number of tours. Outdoor swimming pool clean but very cold and a long way from the hotel
Pool is not directly linked to the hotel, you have to take a short walk around an olive grove
The hotel staff was nice, the room we got was really spacious with an LCD monitor (instead of the usual mini TV sets), the bathroom was big with a bath tub and shower with massage, it was very peaceful, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean. The hotel has a garage with limited space though but I think some public parking is possible.
nice rooms with balcony, lovely outdoor pool in peaceful garden, flowers and overlooked by hills, reserved clients, complimentary afternoon tea/coffee and cakes each day, close to rival del garda. overall very good spot. dinner in evening had a limited/set menu not going to suit kids or sophisticated palates
Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was better than the norm. The one lift was slow and there were no clearly marked staircases.
Good location. Effecient yet friendly. Nice and warm inside as it was very cold outside No
Very good location, clean and nice rooms, excelent food in the restaurant, the breakfast was a little limited in choice, but still ok. No.
the ventilation from the room is very noisy and you cannot sleep well. no restaurant and they offer you a room service, you can order pasta but they don't tell you that are frozen pasta's and warmed up. you are happy that you can order also they have no TV. only video on demand.
To be honest, the room was ok, it had a very high wood ceiling which was covered in cobwebs. To me, that is awful, i hate creepie crawlies and that was such a big put off - the bathroom was tiny and in all fairness, the place was overrun with spiders, earwigs etc. Won't be using this hotel again. It was located basically in the middle of nowhere. About half a dozen places to eat further down the road but not fantastic. View from our bedroom window was good but is a bit over-rated on other reviews. However, that is my opinion and not necessarily everyone elses. Tiny bathroom, overrun with creepies
The view was fantastic, the staff was smiling and very helpful
Very nice and clean rooms, absolutely gorgeus view from the room balcony, from all the common areas terraces and from the dining room. Over all tastefull design and detail to guests comfort. The grounds of the hotel are very relaxing and inviting for exploring. Excellent breakfast - wide selection of food. The signpost for the hotel is almost invisible - easy to miss. The road is a little busy during the day - but it gets quiet in the evening and is down the hill from the hotel.
v helpful and friendly staff no
Beautiful view from hotel, very welcoming and helping staff, nice equipment our room was without a view
The views are very impresive - good small but good swimming pool. Quiet. Breakfast quite good Only go if you are a cycilist or have a car. The only road leadind to nago which isnt by the lake is a busy dangerous road with out a path even then path down to lake is quite rocky. I do tnot think that this was clearly stated- we wasted a lot of money on taxis
Very friendly staff and a very beautifull place to relax. The beds have house dust mites so be carefull....Otherwise great. Not to forget the very rich breakfast.
Fantastic View of Lake Garda and Staff made us feel welcome. Room was clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff, free organised bike tours (need your own bike), ok pool, fantastic view, nice breakfast.Clean. While room (single) was clean, amenities were rather minimal even for Italian standards. Small shower. No airconditioning (they prob never thought they would need it.. climate change requires even mountain hotels to rethink their clients cooling needs). Few accessories (only one small soap bar for example and not changed when past its 'use by' date). Perhaps i simply needed to book a more expensive room to get these 'essentials'.
not much Firstly the hotel was completely out of the way with nothing anywhere near it. One of the reception staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. The air conditioning system broke down after 3 days and although we were assured it would be fixed the following day it still wasnt fixed when we were leaving 3 days later. The cleaner in the hotel thinks she is running it. She was telling us when she would clean our room and the reception staff asked us to vacate the room bfore 11 if we wanted it cleaned. So basically you have to get up early every morning if you want your room cleaned. And when we didnt and asked for housekeeping the cleaner started ranting and raving infront of us. By far the worst place we stayed in,
clean, friendly stuff, exellent location, very close to the lake, breakfast was good room was very small & dark
Asked for a single room with gardenview but got a room with lake (Garda) view. The hotel is directly at the beach of lake Garda, next to a windsurfschool and - facility. Excellent when visiting Torbole/Riva del Garda (north side of lake) Room was just a room, nothing more. Small bathroom en simple facility, but it was enough and good for the low price.
it was perfecty situated for sailing, windsurfing, biking or just strolling the lakeshore. Plenty of restaurant choices nearby.
Clean room No
pleasant garden for the morning breakfast, bus stop in front of the hotel, helpful hotel staff if room with the view to the street - very noisy traffic in the night and morning
The owners were very pleasant and welcoming. The facilities were excellent and the breakfasts were very good. Staff very good. Family run business which reflected in the way clients were treated. No, nothing. Very good.
Personal contact and helpfulness. Rooms looking to main road were a bit noisy.
This is an excellent hotel and offers ''quality for money''. We agree with earlier reviews, the hotel personnel does everything it can to make you stay at home. The rooms are clean, breakfast is superb, the pool and garden are nice and very well maintained and there's a very relaxing atmosphere. We would go back anytime!
This is a very friendly comfortable hotel with a relaxed, homely feel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a real pleasure to spend time at the pool and garden area with lunch/snacks from the poolside bar. The breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice. I would strongly recommend Hotel Villa Stella if you're looking for a relaxed homely hotel. We hope we'll return soon. There was no air-conditioning in our room but this would not stop us staying here again.
A good place for Mountainbikers. Parking place for the car and bike depot included. Nice breakfast and enough space in breakfast room. Aircondition in the hotel room works excellent. A calm place, 10 minutes walking distance to the centre. Free of charge WIFI connection. Hotel as a a nice hotel bar to enjoy a Paulaner or Warsteiner after a tough bike tour. The Sauna could be better, no relaxing zone - Not so many good restaurants in walking distance, you need to take a car - No fridge - mini bar in the hotel room
Brilliant hotel, I have stayed here before and will come back again. I have also recomended it to friends. Enough said I think. A+
We got support to use internet. The children enjoy the swimming pool.
Regardless that it was low season and I was the one and only customer I got full sevice! Location is perfect, just off the busy traffic but close enough to restaurants etc, easy to find and spacious parking. Good breakfast. Will be back.
Very Friendly family run hotel Nothing - everything was excellent
The hotel is not as close to the lake as your website information suggested.
Location and staff were very good No
good service no aircontition
nice clean friendly hotel
Distance to the lake.
Nice location. Parking was sometimes difficult.
Ok, if you just wanna sleep 1 night and go further. Tiny single room. If the neighbors flush the toilet you hear this very well. Mainly old people. Public parking is available around (along the street and also on a special parking place), but you should avoid evening hours when many people go to the restaurants, etc...
Excellent, excellent, excellent
Excellent service from very pleasant people. Although excellent in many ways this hotel is a little dated.
The quite surroundings see above
Good location, not too far from Torbole. Had a swimming pool, table tennis table, soccer game table. Bar service available all day. Didn't have a bar fridge in the room, even to keep water cool. No tea or coffee making facilities, even though we requested them. Very small room to fit in a double and single bed. If you wanted an evening meal, you had to notify the hotel at breakfast time! Had a lot of big tour groups in.
Services, swimming pool, distance to centre Bed not so confortable, room warm without AC
Clean & friendly and no fuss
The building was uninspiringly 70's
