Absolutely amazing resort on an amazing island! The service was outstanding and the staff friendly. I never felt pushed to tip them but they all worked so hard that they absolutely deserve a tip. I highly recommend going to isla Mujeres if interested in the Cancun area. Mia Reef is the best option for an all inclusive resort!
Nothing. We already want to make a trip back!
We would do it again. Absolutely stunning.
They could buy a few more towels and washcloths. :)
We loved the island and the people. When we arrived they couldn't find our reservation thru kayak. They had to make some calls while we waited in the lobby after a long day of travel. I paid for the best room my sister in law paid for the cheapest room. Our rooms were exactly the same. (So if booking I would go cheap) our rooms were nice and clean. The hotel is on a point which is incredible. We heard the Mia had just sold to new people. The grounds were run down (grass was dead hanging beds the covers were tearing off etc) but we saw things being worked on and fixed up while we were there. They have stairs into the water and the bottom stair is slick as snot. First day my brother in law slipped and hit his head and cut his elbow. They had to call a doctor to come and see him up and clean it out.
Slick stairs No reservation when I arrived Charged for more expensive room Grounds in disrepair
Good, bad, ugly
Loved the resort, the pool, the beach, ocean was amazing and clear. Food was good, people were friendly.
Front desk was rude, and front desk manager was horrible too. Understaffed so it took forever to get a drink from the bar. We would order 4 at a time to compensate. Room service was only omelets and burgers and only available after 11pm.
Location, location, location,
New look still only 3 star
Location and staff My wife and I have been staying here for years when it was the Avolon. First stay as Mia. Place still has the location but the new look is just alright.
New construction a bit cheap looking. Too much white
Best location for beach
Mia is under renovation. When it is finished I probably won't be able to afford it. My wife and I stayed AI. I do not understand the complaints of food or facilities of others. The only extra we paid was for tips. Once again the location is the best on north beach. My only fear is that something must be done with the turns that inhabit the point.
A tiny island itself, this quiet resort on a long beach forms the northern tip of Isla Mujeres, a 30-minute boat ride from Cancún; North Beach is an 18-meter (20 yard) waist-deep wade away.
