Excellent 10.0
Pros: We liked the privacy. Very friendly hosts, lovely room, absolutely peaceful little paradise. Private porch and garden with garden furniture and sun beds, posibility to make a little morning or evening stroll to the waterfall. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit every day. And we loved making our own little picnic dinners, as there was an extra kitchen for the guests with dishes and cutlery and everything we needed to feel independent. Highly recommendable.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing we did not like.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: WiFi
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a pleasure to enjoy this beautiful accommodation. I would definitely book it another time. The host were friendly & direct. At our arrival they've showed every detail for us. Cleanliness 10/10! Location: 10/10! (Close enough to Wailuku but its located in the Iao Valley where you can enjoy the nature as well.)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I originally booked the Palms Room but Tamara asked if we could switch due to a family member visiting and we got upgraded to the cottage! At no extra charge :) Since breakfast is only provided on the first stay when in the cottage, we called Tamara to ask if she could make us more orange juice, it was delicious! 10 mins later, she walked over brought us additional juice with a happy smile. Overall, the property is absolutely wonderful. Quiet and very green! Breath of fresh air.
Cons: Curtains don't close the windows completely so hopefully you don't mind having it open! It's private and secluded but if you are the kind of person that frets over that, be warned.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: // you can't get more privacy and peace than in this cute, little cottage (a little bit apart situated from the main building). Maybe it is a little drive to the next beach, but you got this beautiful, tropical surrounding and a huge 'walk-in' shower with the fluffiest bath towels, a private kitchen, covered lanai, reserved parking, perfect WIFI, Alexa, modern washer and dryer, beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards! For us, it was simply perfect.
Good 7.5
Pros: Very nice and friendly hosts. Very nice location sourranded by trees. Camping chairs and cooler and being able to use the washing machine and barbecue. Very private withe only 1 room with neighbours.
Cons: The bed was too soft and maybe old. The room could be better protected from outside noise and light. Breakfast was good, but i would expect more than fruits and some pastries.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Setting is absoluley beautiful! Rainbows most mornings over West Maui Mountains magical. The dwcor inside cottage and gazbo are old Hawaii the bark cloth and quilts stunning.
Cons: The wearher haha
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Laundry and kitchenette came in handy for us. There's a nice patio for watching the rains and listening to the sounds of the river. Memory foam bed made us sleep soundly.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful central location. Super friendly. Quiet lovely room.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Tamara was always available for us to give helpful hints and recommendations. The fresh fruits for breakfast and a variety of coffee all day long were great. And we really loved that we could relax and have some peaceful time in the B&B after our tours.
Cons: In general, we really liked the whole stay and also the breakfast was good. It was every day different, always with fruits. We liked especially the bagel mornings; but we are not so big fans of having cake for breakfast. But this is our personal taste ;-)

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was great! The breakfast was very good and it was really nice eating and therefore interacting with the other guests. The bed was very comfortable and the rainshower amazing. We liked the surroundings aswell. The Innkeepers are very friendly and give you tips whenever they can. We enjoyed our stay here very much!
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff were amazing. Loved the atmosphere of the inn. The bed was very comfy.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The breakfasts were excellent - original, delicious and wonderfully presented. The breakfast and sitting rooms, as well as the bedroom, were beautifully decorated and the garden was a lovely place to sit and relax. Tom and Janice are very friendly and welcoming hosts and were very helpful with recommendations of places to visit/eat. And they have thought of lots of little extras to make your stay more comfortable such as beach towels/mats/parasols, and tea and snacks available. The guest house is in the perfect position to visit lots of places on the island. We would definitely return.
Cons: The room was a little small and there was a musty smell in the corridor outside it but these didn't spoil the holiday.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Loved everything about the place. It's a beautiful, charming inn. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a homey feel to it. Kind staff and several great amenities, which makes for a lovely stay!
Cons: Recycling bins would be nice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I had a fall while out and about and the team were very helpful, helped my wife no end... Thank you again
Good 7.9
Pros: Breakfast was very good, location not the greatest but close to airport and convenient for travel to places we wanted to visit.
Cons: access to the property was pretty tight, but it is what it is.
Good 7.9
Pros: Lovely building with super communal areas.
Cons: Breakfast. There was no choice, unless you got up extra early for the continental options and some of the combinations on a plate were a bit odd.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Good food and great staff.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: This is a really nice property well located a short walk into Central Kahului. I had the Plumeria room - spacious and nicely decorated. The ladies offered a nice communal breakfast, with the menu changing daily, and a willingness to accommodate any and all dietary needs. If you want a base to explore Maui and don’t need a beach or pool, this is a super option. I would definitely go back.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was a pleasant change from staying in a large resort type hotel. Felt like being at home. Great shower!

Pros: Good location, excellent value, clean comfortable room. Homemade baked goods left in room were a very nice touch
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Maureen was super friendly and welcoming, we could use everything for the Beach which was pretty useful since we travelled by airplane. The room was nice and clean, with everything you needed & the bed was really comfy. We really appreciated Maureens tips she put together for the guests as well as the cakes/bread she Baked!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Maureen the host is delightful, attentive and available.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Awesome and helpful host and beach accessoires and cooler to lent for free use. Thx Maureen
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was truly perfect about this place. I absolutely adored it.
Cons: Nothing to be changed.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: . The room was very cosy and pool right outside door it's beautiful here. Waluku is central to everywhere on island.
Cons: Too much noise overhead. Much banging and stomping. Right next to school making pulling out difficult. Not the prettier location on island
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Clean, interesting place with Aloha character...great little swimming pool and close to Attic Coffee which has a great drinks and food. Place is quiet except in the morning when the roosters start up lol! We got in late and had a plate of macadamia banana loaf waiting for us in our room upon arrival which was a nice touch!
Cons: Nothing, room we had (plantation room) is small but comfortable for a few days. Didn’t see owners at all but it’s self check in and check out and didn’t bother us. Roosters start early but hey, you are on Maui and it might be worth getting up early to enjoy all it has to offer!
Good 6.3
Pros: Beach facilities for free use Salt water pool Cool box for day trips Self made sweet treats and delicious coffee Central location for exploring the island
Cons: We booked this guesthouse because of the good ratings and thus expected more. Unfortunately our self check-in did not work. The key was not provided as described. We had to wait for an hour. Very poorly maintained and old property Our room had a musty smell
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Maureen is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met, she was very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. Her place is a little slice of paradise and I wish that I had of known about this place when I first got here because I would have stayed for my entire trip.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Comfy room with a king-size bed, very large for one, nice for a couple. Property has a pool with enough tables, beach chairs, and also a grill is available. Very comfortable setting for a pool-side breakfast, dinner, or just chilling.

Cons: To pay 30 usd for parking is too much and no tea in the room
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Excellent bistro breakfast of ricotta pancakes!
Cons: The price.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Convenient location for our needs and purposes.
Cons: Better room maintenance - shower valve was broken. Only had really cold or really hot water. An in-room safe would be nice to store valuables.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great for doing what we wanted and was close to the airport which was very nice. The staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I registered as a guest with 4 adults in the room. However, each night of our stay, we only had 3 bath towels. We requested one more the first night and it was delivered fairly quickly. We didn't ask for one the next night because we got in late, and one person had to use the small towels. I think the person who cleans the rooms should know how many guests there are and how many towels to leave. That was inconvenient.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice staff and great customer service and love the rooms very nice and you guys are the best hotel that I ever rent for one night thank you for guys for my stay at the courtyard
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Within minutes of Kahului Airport is a definite plus for those who don't want to deal with traffic any more than they have to. Hotel parking was adequate and we appreciated that there wasn't an upcharge for it.
Cons: Just an observation rather than a complaint, but even for Hawaii the food choices are somewhat limited and costly. My guess is the majority of guests go elsewhere for their snacks and meals. Added fees/taxes can dissuade some from making a reservation.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing receptionist! Extremely helpful and understanding of our needs
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: It was so close to the airport and very quiet.
Good 6.0
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: No breakfast available. Had to go out. Not very welcoming.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved that it was welcoming. I also liked that we could wash our clothes. Nice not having to tote more bags than needed. Over all very peaceful stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a great time at this location. Close to family and friends. Will stay there again when we visit our family and friends,
Cons: Didn’ t find anything that we didn’t like.
Good 7.0
Pros: It was close to the airport. The pool area was nice!
Cons: There was no access to outdoor space from the room.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We spent one night due to the fires on west Maui in October 2019. We were pretty late arriving and the hosts made us feel very welcome, made sure we got settled in for the night and we had a very good breakfast the next morning.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Cool and fresh air and yard. Simple but refreshing breakfast prepared and delivered to the room door . The host is very helpful !
Cons: Facility is kind of over used
Excellent 8.8
Pros: It's a beautiful and well kept property with nice houses. The rooms were spacious and offered everything we needed. Helena was a great host and served a delicious (and healthy) breakfast every morning.
Cons: The bed was too soft for us and every move of one person was felt by the other. It is close to the center of Makawao (2 min drive) , but walking was not an option for us because it's along an unlit street.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We booked last minute and originally thought we wanted to stay in Kihe, but I’m so glad we ended up in Makawao. Such a beautiful quaint town with so much character. Heleina was welcoming and wonderful from day one. The b&b is set amongst beautiful greenery, like it’s own little paradise. The breakfast was lovely and included home made banana bread and our apartment was perfect.
Cons: Absolutely nothing - it’s not in the centre of Maui which could be a turn off for some people as it’s quieter and a 35 minute drive from Kihe, but having visited Kihe I know we made the right decision staying here!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The location was great for access to the east side of the island. The hostess was friendly and delivered breakfast to our door each morning. The grounds were beautiful and well tended. Very nice setting.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Breakfast was left outside our room at 7 am. Large room and comfortable bed Quiet
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We loved the grounds. The garden was an oasis with many flowers, trees, lovely landscaping. It was nice and quiet especially at night. The swimming pool and barbecue were nice. The breakfast was simple, healthy, and good.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Pool by the lush garden, view, quietness, secluded location, lovely host, good breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staying at the property is like sleeping in a garden. If you want to escape the resorts and stay in a place that gives you a feel of "Old Hawaii", this is it. Beautiful property. Nice pool (with great view) to relax or cool off in. Cute room w/ super comfy beds. Definitely will stay here again when coming back to upcountry Maui.

Good 7.1
Pros: We had the king suite ocean view (best room in the resort) and it was not worth the upgrade. There really wasn’t an ocean view and the suite did not offer anything more than a king room other than more floor space. Also, the breakfast was the same every morning, some variety would have been nice.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful and tranquil property.
Cons: There was a few too many bugs for me.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was far beyond my expectations. Spa services were fantastic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were so beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The food and staff were so warm and welcoming. I will absolutely be returning!
Good 6.7
Pros: Gorgeous grounds, friendly staff, nice breakfast, peaceful setting, and massage
Cons: Ingress/egress to property. Limited ammenities
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Quite beautiful facility
Cons: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL 1) Really far from everything. Unless you windsurf and you want to stay on the north shore don't go there at all. 2) The most unfriendly staff I've seen in ages. They are not prefessionals in hospitality business so they don't care about your experience. You will not feel welcomed, you will not feel taken care of... 3) Worst breakfast I've seen. 1 choince of ceereal! 4 non eatable main entrees e.g. potatoes, scrabled eggs, soussages. Only water to drink. If you wan't standard milk (which is not available) they charge extra $5 for glass of it 4) Incredibly dirty. There are many cats, chickens living on the territory. They crap is everywhere and it is not cleaned 5) Very noisy: (a) you can say every word people say in adjacent rooms, (b) chickens and other birds wake up at 5 am so will you; (c) all rooms face internal garden - you will not be able to sleep because people e.g. will be listening to music in jaquzi, etc. 6) No staff after 9 p.m. And so on and so forth... This place is worth $150 a night max!!!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Loved the quiet, serenity. It almost felt like I had the whole place to myself. Breakfast was very good as was the restaurant in general, super fresh and not overdone.
Cons: Can’t think of anything.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: the garden was really amazing
Cons: the windows had some problems to be opened
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Food selection for Breakfast and Lunch could be a little more diverse. Dinner was fantastic. Food Services are needed on the off hours.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Beautiful grounds, very peaceful. Great location upcountry. Good breakfast included! Our room was very nice. Wish we could have stayed longer to participate in classes/activities.
Cons: My husband snores, and was worried he disturbed those in rooms next to us do to open windows looking out on shared porch. The grounds are so quiet, he felt he was too loud. Rooms need brighter lights/lamps for reading.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: I stayed here in June, 2018. My plane was delayed, and I was worried nobody would be there when I would arrive at 11pm. I called the phone number on the website and reached some lady, definitely not the hotel. I tried another number that I found on a travel website, no answer. So I emailed them early in the day. They replied right away. In the meantime, I found their correct number somewhere, finally talked to someone. She was very helpful and gave me some good advice to get some dinner as soon as I arrive because places stay to close early. She explained there is someone on premises 24 hours per day, and indeed I met the night watchman when I arrived. Then I realized the place is legit, to my relief. I was delighted by everything. My room reminded me of an old house in Asia. The blinds operate by a mechanism that I became familiar with in Japan. Overall the place seemed to have been designed by an Asian architect long ago. The wood is beautiful and looks old. There are some leviathan quartz and amethyst crystals that might make this place the center of energy in Maui. The whole place does give you a positive spiritual-feeling vibe. The grounds are gorgeous and arranged in a way that appeals to the soul. Staff are wonderful, breakfast delicious, unique and healthy. I totally loved the place and think it is everything it is meant to be and that you would expect. Being of older design, it doesn’t have air conditioning, or televisions... you are forced to live a little closer to nature and your surroundings, but that makes it more relaxing and good for your soul. If you are used to air conditioning, you might feel hot and sticky at first, but after a shower (the water is hot if you want, but a lukewarm shower will cool you down), I didn’t sweat. The ceiling fan is enough to keep you plenty cool, and I even had to cover up with the comforter dusting the night. The air temperature in Hawaii, let alone up on a hill like the hotel, is by no means hot.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Incredibly comfortable and very spacious, especially the master bathroom and bedroom ( seriously, my entire college apartment could have fit with room to spare). Very central location for touristing. Welcome breakfast tray was perfect, full sized kitchen was great and the grill on the lanai was a wonderful (and well used) bonus. Owners were friendly and helpful as well. A true gem.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Serene location and perfect to explore the north shore.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My husband and I could not have chosen a better place to stay on our vacation to Maui. We found the Bamboo Valley Inn to be Family friendly and a great place away from the main flow of tourists. Tom and Vicky were extremely accommodating even finding us a pack and play for our infant son to use at the last minute. The facilities were spacious and well-kept and the view from the inn was quite picturesque.
Cons: In short, that we couldn't stay longer! If we really had to nail something down it would be the mosquitoes outside, but honestly it was expected given that the facility was located in the woods. The owners did also provide bug spray to combat this 'issue'.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: There was a cut cat which elevated our experience
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts were so kind, their place was beautiful, incredibly peaceful, and we were so lucky we found it.
Okay 4.6
Pros: Maui was great !!! Hana Road, Haleakala Crater, snorkeling at Ahihi, beaches in Kihei, Wailea, Lahaina
Cons: Pictures in booking.com show nice rooms in upper level. We were placed in lower level. No indication of that during time of booking. Room was dark, smelled damp, carpet and couch not really inviting. Then owner, when asked, said there was no smell (it was strong, though), yet gave us a room spray to eliminate the odor. We were glad that Maui had so much more to offer, used the place to sleep and that was it. Beware: When booking you can't tell if you get an upper level or the lower level suite. So sad. It's an interesting area of the island.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Basically, you get a 2-br apartment, fully equipped with a kitchen, an outside space and complimentary lawn chairs to take to the beach with you. Bamboo Valley Inn is located on a beautiful piece of property - a 10-min drive from a cutest town of Paia and within an hour drive from the best of Maui's attractions, which makes its location quite convenient. The owners were very helpful - sent us proper directions right after we booked, were available to answer all our concerns and even stocked a complimentary breakfast tray. Now I know where I will stay when I go back.

Pros: The location

Pros: Very quaint and Hawaiian layed back. Nothing fancy or modern but has everything you need. Loved the lodge cat and the sitting area.
Cons: The coffee shop staff were very rude.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the property’s laid back feel and proximity to fun things in the town. The staff at Paia Coffee Bar helped us and we would recommend this property.
Good 6.3
Pros: - Cute decoration! The whole place it’s simple but cute, I like it. - Clean!!! - Easy check in and check out. Keys was already in the room. - Great location!
Cons: - No AC and the FAN it’s terrible! - No TV - NO PRIVACY! You need to leave the windows open because there is no ac and the fan works poorly, and if someone pass outside the room can easily see you inside, no privacy at all. - Extremely LOUD! There is a cafe with loud music on weekends. I booked this place because was a good location to do road to Hana and my plan was wake up early and go to sleep early, the loud music was a nightmare, and I couldn’t even try to close the window because the room would be so warm. And when the music stops you can still hear everyone walking around and talking. - Parking can be a little headache. Not to many spots but I didn’t had a problem.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very charming rooms and the bed was very comfortable. They had luggage storage which was helpful for the red eye flight. The shared courtyard provided a quiet sanctuary during the day. I found the location wonderful since I didn't have a car-I could walk to the beach quickly and to all the cafe's and shops in town. Other reviewers said it was noisy but I found it fine-only if people were talking right outside the window.
Cons: It was very hot without AC, it being 34 Celcius outside. It was manageable though with the fan. The shower was not very clean.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful place with short walk to the beach!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean and comfortable lication
Mediocre 3.1
Pros: Location is good, in Paia town.
Cons: The room was cramped and uncomfortable, the beds were small, no a/c, no tv, the room was noisy. No contact with staff when we checked in, just our name on a white board telling us which room to take. Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay. We later found a much much nicer room in a nearby hotel at the same price.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Central location. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Beach only short stroll away. Very nice garden. Room was very clean.
Cons: AC quite loud.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great cafe next door and really comfy bed
Cons: Ore instructions about how to access the laundry
Excellent 8.8
Pros: really good location, the room was clean , bed comfortable, bathroom clean. the room was perfect for my needs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved the location!! Right in the heart of the cute little town walking same block as wonderful restaurants! Our room was a one room not AC or television - but we wouldn't used it anyway so it was wonderful!
Cons: The only downfall was parking... thankfully we were able to get a parking spot each time!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: A great value, family run hotel.
Cons: Parking is bad, but they have security 24/7.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice room, location convenient, staff very helpful and friendly
Good 6.3
Pros: The bed is comfortable. The quite place where you can lounge, feel the breeze, sun bathing, listen to the waves. You have an opportunity to walk by the beach and you see the nice mountain of Maui.
Cons: The lobby does not have access to restroom. The room was ok but they did not provide us a room with a view. But it's ok because we are always on the go. If you eat in the room make sure to clean up because ants will appear. You cannot bring left over because there is no microwave unless you want to eat cold food The crew in the restaurant is lacking of customer service skills. And also the crew are not very polite. They have window air-condition that will get loud.
Okay 5.4
Cons: A/C was off when we entered the room in fact a switch on the wall turned all power on to the room.it was off, took for ever to cool room down.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I didnt have one complaint for this hotel. They were so accommadating. Our flight wasn't until late so they aloud us to stay and use the facilities until we were ready to go to the airport, and checked us in early! It is literally right on the beach and has a refreshing pool to take a dip too. Very clean and great for the price. Highly recommend and definetly wanting to come back in the near future!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location
Cons: No
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was great and right next door. Everyone was very friendly!
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Proximity to the airport, and there was a shuttle
Cons: This place gave us the creeps! Very run down and dingy! Never again😞
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s only less than 10 mins from the airport. I flew in kinda late & was starving. Lucky there was a daily night market food truck thingy going on just 5-10 mins walk from the hotel.
Cons: N/A
Mediocre 2.9
Pros: The air conditioning was nice.
Cons: Very expensive for a basic room that felt like a cheap old motel. parking was hard to find and you had to pay daily, this should have been included in the expensive room cost. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The front desk staff were not welcoming at all , almost down right rude. Would not recommend this place. Terrible beginning to our anniversary trip.
Good 7.9
Pros: We were staying on the West side but were stranded when the Pali was closed due to fire. There were at least40 people lined up in the lobby in the same boat. Throughout the whole process the hotel folks were friendly and efficient and handled a stressful situation well.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff were very nice. Also they provided a hospitality room so I could clean up after I checked out for the day.
Cons: I wish the pool were open after 6pm.

Pros: Breakfast included.
Cons: In my opinion the price was too high for what it was.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really clean. Helpful staff. Not noisy as rules in place to reduce that. Laundry facilities available. Extra fans provided for us without having to ask. Tea and coffee available at all times except when kitchen closed to reduce noise at night.
Cons: Nothing in particular. All good. Usual hostel standard.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything else was fantastic.
Cons: misleading description. Breakfast was not included, only the ingredients for us to make it ourselves.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The people
Cons: Bathroom being far away
Poor 1.0
Cons: Everything. I begin from the communication with the staff. Very unfriendly, worry about themselves and money pretending they take care of you. They have negative attitude to allergic people for a food. They can't provide simple e.g. a rice, coconut or almond milk (have it plenty). They LIE about a free shuttle. There is not!!! They promised to give PIN to the property, they didn't do it. Finally, they (Sherrell) confirmed the full refund no fee would be processed and he sent the confirmation to booking.com on 28th Sept. I have just got information they LIED to me & booking.com they didn't refund money and they were avoiding contact. Be careful otherwise you will waste your time, money and get annoyed on your vacation. :( In the end I didn't stay with them, the airport option was better and safer.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Upgraded and thought it was bigger. The double bed sag to one side in a slope to where my husband had a backache during the night and the morning. Did not get a very good night sleep because of that. Couldn’t cook breakfast for a lot of other guest were cooking.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I left my kindle behind and amazing Sherell kept it safe and sound until we got back from road to hana a day after we left! The location is great as a starting point to do road to hana. We arrived, explored Kahului, Iao, and upcountry before starting on road to hana. Great first base before moving on to other parts of the island!
Cons: The room we got was small and not superbly ventilated. Always keep the air/fan on so you can breathe haha. And don’t use the bathroom right at the end it is the tiniest, the other bathrooms are larger and airier, worth waiting for if others are using...
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Hard question..
Cons: The room without any window! In the Hawaii summer..
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Staff was very helpful, and the option of a free airport shuttle is the best! It’s a 5 min walk from the nearest bus stop, which can help you get around the island if you have no car. Great place to meet people, was clean and comfortable. GREAT PRICE.

Pros: Safe
Cons: No air conditioning and it was very hot and humid.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Great location. Convenient to many upcountry/north shore beach spots.
Cons: The 'light' breakfast shouldn't even be considered as part of the package: Nature Valley granola bar, Quaker instant oatmeal, fruit cup, Folgers coffee. Considering all the great fresh local produce and coffee that's available, it borders on inexcusable. The giant cane spider that showed up in our room & freaked my wife out didn't help matters.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice area in Maui. Property is well organized, never saw the hosts, but didn't need to, all was self explanatory. We felt very comfortable. had everything we needed.
Cons: nothing.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We liked the vibes of this place Good value for the rate Very clean, quite and near the airport Honors will provide all you need
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Location
Cons: Dirty. Really uncomfortable beds Bugs everywhere POOR breakfast - don’t offer breakfast inclusive and give guest a muesli bar for breakfast daily . When you ask for milk they answer is : is very expensive . Excuse me but with the fortune you charge I’m sure you can buy some milk . Do not recommend . If you can pay a bit more to be more comfortable do it . Noisy . It has not been one night of good sleep at all .
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Beautiful grounds. Large room, nice breakfast set up. Good library of books on Hawaii to look at.
Cons: Nothing. The only slight problem for us is we didn’t come with a car and it was a bit far to walk anywhere this made worse by fact the roads have no sidewalk in the area so dangerous with sharp blind bends.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts were so friendly, and the accommodations and amenities were wonderful. Beautiful location and very comfortable set up with outdoor shower, hot tub, and lounge area. The guest kitchen was very nice and organized. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean.
Cons: The only minor complaint is that there wasn't air conditioning, but that definitely wouldn't keep me from staying there again.
Mediocre 2.2
Pros: Very loud with people coming in and out. Most the people were very nice. Just be sure to read all the fine print. I just read the deadline.
Cons: That it was under a B&B. It is not.!!!! We paid $112.00 for two people at a Hostile.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Peacefulness of the location
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Close to Haleakala Park (about 30-45 mins away) Great place to stay over night for next day Haleakaia Park visit.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful grounds, wonderful host, very organized. Lovely place
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very professionally run bed and breakfast, welcoming host and very clean rooms and shared spaces. Loved the outdoor areas, especially cabana and outdoor shower (there are also indoor showers). Beautiful location - quiet, peaceful, great view of Haleakalā, amazing stars at night, close to Makawao. Provided breakfast is simple - instant oatmeal, coffee, tea, local fruit and bars - but there are fridges in the room so you can bring your own food. Shared kitchen has enough amenities to prepare food.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff clean rooms Super comfy beds Free shuttle up to 3 miles around hotel wow
Cons: None
Good 7.1
Pros: Pool and location
Cons: View of parking lot for a more expensive room with a view is a bit ridiculous, only have those rooms on inside part of the hotel, what a joke
Good 6.0
Pros: The location for our business trip was perfect. It was a good value.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Location to airport
Cons: Cleanliness and odor in the room
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I felt the hotel was a bit overpriced but maybe that’s the time of year. Otherwise everything was good- a clean, comfy and simple hotel room with the amenities you’d expect. There’s a nice little beach 50m from the rooms.
Cons: The treadmill was out of order in the fitness room which was a real bummer. Some of the facilities are starting to feel a bit old but everything is in working order. It was annoying to be charged $15 amenities and $5 parking fee, yes the hotel includes this on their ‘conditions’ but in most places around the world this would be built into the booking.com fee. It left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth...
Good 7.1
Pros: Nice courtyard.
Cons: Gave out dvd rental at check-in, and small print alerted us of $50 charge of not returned, even if not used. Back door to kitchen always open when going to our room, and was unpleasant.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: This is one of 2 centrally located hotels in Kahului. Its clean, and pretty nice and has the Aloha spirit. Totally worked for us. Also, Seaside hotel nextdoor is nice, but this hotel has much better parking, which is a huge plus.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Good 6.3
Pros: The garden and small beach (in the port of the city) were really nice and well taken care off. Nice views from and into the garden. The swiming pool was great and with nice views. The lobby, with views to the garden was really nice, with lots of light and well ventilated. We like it that it is in the middle of a city with malls and restaurants around, so not so full of turist as the resorts... Of course this means that you typically need to rent a car to move around....
Cons: We did not got a choice for a double bed, only twins, even when our reservation was for a double. Is not that they did not have it, they just want to charge us extra for it... They even gave us two keys to compare. This was nice, but not that they try to charge extra. The double rooms are too small, but they have views to the garden, while the double room was larger but has views to a very busy and noisy highway. They also charge for parking, even when they are in a remote location with lots of empty parking space. When we comented we did not like these extra charges in the reception they were a bit rude/sarcastic about it..... There is no need for that, specially as this is not what we booked. There is no air condition in the hallways or lobby. Just a window one on the room, which was very noisy and did not work well. It felt either hoy and humid or too cold.
Good 7.0
Pros: Just for one night. Staff was friendly. It was clean.
Cons: Beach water when we arrived was sooooo dirty!!! We picked out a bag of garbage??!! This is not acceptable. It’s called Maui BEACH Hotel. Can they not Ensure this clean always?
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Everyone’s nice. Convenient restaurant. Walking distance from a mall and multiple gas stations. Had sunscreen for sale n let me borrow a towel even after I checked out
Cons: Y’all forgot to call me for my wake up call

Pros: The staff was wonderful, very friendly. Showed me where a sacred place was, that most travelers never hear about. Turned out to be one of the best parts of the trip!
Cons: It seemed a little run down, and the guests were not of the highest "standard." I personally wouldn't take young children there. But, overall a very good value for the price.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff was excellent
Mediocre 3.5
Cons: Just a recommendation: book another, nice accomodation far in advance or you'll get stranded in this spot, as we did....
Mediocre 2.9
Pros: Towels prepared. Parking possible.
Cons: Rooms are very small and old. There is no vibe around. No other travelers. There are so.many better hostels nearby.
Good 7.5
Pros: For the price you can’t go wrong. Walls are paper thin but it is a Hostel. I was lucky and had the room all to myself. Free parking. Free WIFI
Cons: Fan maybe in the room. Parking lot is kinda tight. Noisy people late at night. Shower head couldn’t adjust. Went one way, to the wall.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very friendly. I plan to return
Cons: Lighting in room. You need someone in front office
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Location, fast food and restraurant are near by.
Cons: n/a
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Hostel City 1 has been closed for 2 months. Reservations were transfered to Hostel City 2 which was very acceptable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I like the place itself and the people are respectful.
Good 7.5
Pros: Confortable bed & pillows. Clean sheets towels. Floor little gritty from wind. Screens also. Overall no complaints. Served our purpose well. Mahalo.
Okay 5.0
Pros: It had enough parking
Cons: Had merely bedspace, and a shower
Good 6.3
Pros: The room itself is nice even if not very spacious to open up luggages, it was clean on the first day. But the room is literally all what there is. It did not felt traveller-friendly, it is just a bed and bathroom. It was an overall disappointing experience, I got there because it was the only affordable place available on the day, when I could I stayed somewhere else as not only was cheaper but especially I got so much more, a real hostel where beside sleeping and showering you can actually sit, eat, chat/meet fellow travellers and organize your day. Here there is nowhere where to store your food, not a table where you can eat, not even a chair - actually only one in the room which was used for the luggage from one other guest. My bed was the top one and I could not sit anywhere not even to check my map. Wanted to ask for general info and no one was there. It felt weird and incredibly anonymous, you couldn't do anything beside shower and sleep, quite literally.
Cons: Overpriced for what it is. There is no common space, not even a chair where to sit, let alone a table where to eat your own food, I had to sit in the car! No kitchen, no fridge, no breakfast, no space where to take a breath or get organized or chat with others, literally nowhere to sit beside your bed - and I was on the top one as well. The room is all you get and it get cleaned every three days. It feels like there is no one on the premises as the office is open from 9 am to 3-4 pm, it was self check-in and out, I did not see anyone from the hostel as I came to see Maui, not to wait for opening times...
